De plus, une dispute violente dans l’appartement voisin s’est prolongée une partie de la nuit, donc très mauvaise nuit. Accueil chaleureux le matin pour le déjeuner, mais repas très limité, visiblement pas prévu à l’avance.

• Marisa (4/5): - Infelizmente, foi uma pessima experiência .Ao reservar esse local para uma semana, vi em sua apresentação nesse site imagens de uma bela residência com um hall bonito, com uma area bonita, jardins..., e também apontava que havia um estacionamento e uma cozinha. Mas ao chegar esses espaços referente a casa e de uso particular.O hospede tem acesso ao quarto terreo. Ou seja para uma noite tudo bem mas para varios dias nao recomendo o estacionamento e na rua.Acabei dormindo so uma noite e fui embora no dia seguinte..muito triste .

• ian (4/5): - The room I ended up in was not even among the photos shown. In fact I think most of the photos are of the owners personal residence. Luckily I had a short overnight stay, my room was musty and furnishing was old as well as a very musty smell there were no windows, just a glass door as it was a room under the house. My room said balcony and there as a patio but it was downstairs and i had to carry my bags up stairs when I was leaving. The owner did help me carry one bag when I arrived. The photos created a different expectation about what my room was like, if I had seen actual photos I would not have booked.
• Sam (9/5): Pleasant and relaxing - Breakfast was a typical European (Italian) breakfast. The host was very helpful and assisted us in anyway we needed. If you don’t have a car, it’s a very long (20 minutes) walk to any restaurant.
• Marina (2/5): - The hoasts were great but everything else was abissmal. Bed and breakfast with no breakfast. And when I asked for breakfast, I was offered bread. One morning I was woken up by a crying baby and a barking dog. You can hear everything that is going on upstairs, especially squeeky pipes. Location is by a highway and an airport, so the symphony of trucks, planes and pipes is amazing. It is literally a room at someone's house with no perks.

• Kurt (9/5): Ideal für An- und Abreisetag in Bari, wir würden wieder kommen ! - Der Besitzer, Leonardo war sehr zuvorkommend, hat mich vom Autovermieter abgeholt, hat uns zum Restaurant gebracht, wieder abgeholt und um 4 Uhr morgens zum Flughafen gebracht, vielen Dank dafür ! Vielleicht wäre etwas zu Drinken und ein kleiner Snack angebracht, wenn man so früh ohne Frühstück raus muss !
• Ellen (2/5): Stay away!! - The location is next to an overpass that was terrifying at night and had piles and piles of garbage bags. If I were traveling alone or with children, I would be too scared to get out of the taxi. The hosts were incredibly rude and were clearly angry that we asked for coffee in the morning. They were yelling in Italian.thr beds were very old and thin.

• Verified traveler (2/5): - My flight was delayed and arrived hotel at 0100 (after the 1200 checkin) I rang the bell for 20 mins, and no one answered. Had to walk 45 mins back to the airport, to get another taxi (as Taxi had left) and I had no Italian phone (involving walking over overpass with no sidewalk) Booked another hotel and stayed there for the night. Reached out to Hotels.com and they didn't offer a refund as the rate was non cancelable and the hotel didn't want to give me the refund....

• LUCIA (6/5): Perfecto para unas vacaciones. - Solicité antes de mi estancia que la señal wifi fuera buena en mi habitación, pues no es que no fuera buena, no pude trabajar ni 1 minuto, no llegaba en absoluto. Por lo demás. Los dueños muy agradables y serviciales. Muy cómodo y cerca si quieres quedarte cerca del aeropuerto.

• Olivija (1/5): Disappointing. - The radiators were warm when we arrived. We are very disappointed with our visit here. First of all, I wouldn't really call this place a villa. Maybe it was beautiful many years ago, but now the walls are crumbling, you can see mold. The bed is hard and uncomfortable. We booked this place because it said there was free PRIVATE parking. However, it is not private at all, we just had to leave the car on a suspicious street along the fence. The breakfast was tragic, I wouldn't even call it breakfast. I would pay half the amount for a place like this. It is severely overpriced. We paid €114 for 1 night. We feel disappointed and cheated. I highly do not recommend this place.
• ray l (10/5): Overnight - Just stayed over nite prior to flight home Coordination with Leonardo worked well and he referred us to excellent lunch (Al Paradise) on a Sunday afternoon. Offered to take us to airport ( at 2:30am), but we had other option. Very limited utensils (pkates, forks, knives, etc) and no shower curtain we’re only negatives
• Simon (1/5): Should be removed from Booking.com…it’s not fit for purpose - Nothing, no redeeming qualities Nobody there to let us in when we arrived. No facilities in room , I mean nothing apart from a bed and a bathroom. No glasses, cups, kettle, cutlery and no facilities on site and nothing in immediate area which was not a great area very industrial and run down. Went to bed early as has early departure next day but were woken at midnight by loud shouting and arguing that went on for 90 minutes. Then more noise throughout the night including some one sitting outside our room at 4 am making a call that went on for ages. Next morning had to wake the hosts to get breakfast at the pre agreed time but had to leave before it was prepared. Complained about the noise the night before and he pretended that he didn’t know what we were complaining about. Not sure how this type of facility is allowed on Booking.com. Only booked following very late cancellation of our pre booked hotel (think they cancelled because they could get a better price) and paid a crazy price for the quality of this place.
• Annabelle (8/5): - Lovely family running B&B only drawback is the location. It was a bit complicated getting to it because railroad had arm down (broken) and couldn't cross, and the map keep rerouting us to different place. No walkable restaurants or cafes.
• Richard (8/5): - The property is a wonderful and very large house with nice rooms. With some upgraded yard work it would make a great place to have a wedding or some other multi-family event. It isn't located in the best of places and Google maps spells the name of the street it's on different that the Expedia info, so it was a challenge to.find. We spent an hour on the phone to Expedia in America while they figured out how we could get to the property.

• Caroline (10/5): - This was an airport stopover and exactly what we wanted. Clean, quiet, comfortable, Italian style breakfast served to us. We were collected fron Bari airport in the evening as planned and returned in the morning to catch our onward train.

• Kenney (6/5): Dejlig tæt på lufthavnen, men kedeligt område... - Vi kom ned til at stort værelse (Suite m balkon, som dog bare var at man kunne sidde ude foran trappen op (værelset var i kælderen)). Det var fint rent, man fik dog hurtig en fornemmelse af at det var mange år siden at stedet var bygget og der ikke var foretaget meget vedligehold ud over standard. Der var et køleskab på værelset men det var godt nok ulækkert, mug mange steder i det. Værterne var flinke mennesker som dog ikke snakker engelsk overhovedet, dette vanskeliggør kommunikationen lidt men ikke noget google oversæt ikke kunne klare, til morgenmaden kom de med hjemmebagte både kager og noget tærte af en art med kød og ost af forskellige arter, det smagte ganske fint. vi var der 2 voksne og 2 børn på 5 og 10år

• Careena (8/5): Would highly recommend - Leonardo was the perfect host. Stayed here 1 night before a cruise. Leonardo gave excellent transfer cost to airport and cruise terminal. Room was very large and comfy. Maybe a little fridge would be good. Villa is slightly isolated and only offered breakfast, we walked 10 mins to local store to make a cold dinner. Would recommend

• Hannah (10/5): Beautiful, friendly, helpful, convenient to airport! - We loved staying at Villa Nicolaus! I chose it based on the location (near the airport) and the pictures (the outdoor area and the garden) for the last night of our trip, however when we arrived the first night in Bari we had a problem with our other lodging so I booked very last-minute and late in the evening at Villa Nicolaus. Leonardo offered transfer service from the station for a very reasonable fee, even though it was after 11pm. When we arrived at the Villa it not disappoint! It was in the perfect location for us and it was MORE beautiful than the pictures! Plus Leonardo was absolutely lovely— he helped us so much. The room was incredibly clean, absolutely spotless. The breakfast was delicious and Leonardo made us the Moka caffe. We are going back at the end of our trip and we look forward to relaxing there before our early flight home! Thank you Leonardo!!

Leonardo transported is to and from the airport, which is conveniently minutes away from their apartment, and even drove us to and from their favorite restaurant. I highly recommend staying at their lovely apartment!
• Rosa (4/5): - I was locked out, no one answered the doorbell. My phone wasn't working so I couldn't call. I waited 25 minutes then drove to another hotel that was full and a man called for me. I drove back. In the morning a woman asked me to pay 10 euros- I refused. Noone speaks English well enough to sort out or answer questions. It was by the road and loud. My breakfast teabag had dead bugs in it. Room was spacious and clean, close to the airport yet a train track is between and unfortunately I had to wait 20 minutes while the road was closed. (This is normal in this area).

• Linda (8/5): Very good - The room was spacious and very comfortable Offered cost of pickup from the airport seemed overpriced. However the walk from the airport is not pleasant and not recommended. Was offered a reduced price lift pack to airport, which we accepted. Breakfast was okay, just coffee and pastries, no fruit or fruit juice.

• Eden (9/5): Recommend!! - Especially the host!!! So nice and so accommodating, it was much needed after our flight got delayed and we landed and 1:30 am. Were barely there and didn’t have any, the only thing might be that the owner/host doesn’t really speak English
• Verified traveler (4/5): Villa nicolaus review. - Some bedding was damp. Reception room illustrated was not for guests. Breakfast small in quantity and very limited variety. Only plus was location to airport. Payment by cash only.
• Sante (1/5): It is a walk-out basement and unfit to operate. - Our departure time was too early to attend for breakfast. No courtesy breakfast bag offered. We had to absorb rain water coming in from under the door with our shower towels. Management aware of the issue did not show up to help. This premises should not be allowed to operate in its present state. Good only on sunny days.
• Anna (2/5): In my and family opinion not a place to stay because of flooding in rooms when rains. - location was ok, close to the sea area and some restaurant. We did not like the fact that the owner was aware the bedrooms being in the lower level of the villa were subjected to flood when rain...and it did rain very bad the day we stayed at this location. We had a big ammount of water coming in both suites not only once but twice in a day early afternoon and evening. The owner was told but it did not provide any assistance so we end up cleaning the water problem with the towels (not many) we had in our hand that were given to us for bathing. My last day of vacation myself and my family had to collect water from floor in order to stay clean and safe. This was unacceptable .......I think owner should have offered assistance and he did not.
• Michael (9/5): Superb - We had a great stay. The owner picked us from airport even though we came late at night, the location is close to the airport and connected by bus to city center. The room was good and bed was comfettible.
• Radha (10/5): Extremely happy with our short stay. - The villa was truly beautiful and offered great accommodation for a family, not far from the Airport but extremely peaceful & quiet. Location 5mins walk to the bus stop, get to the central city (25mins), there no shops near by. The owner (Leonardo) absolutely amazing and very helpful, tries to facilities in the best possible way. Overall extremely happy with our short stay. I prefer my English breakfast, the breakfast that was provided wasn't to bad!

The breakfast was basic, but perfect for us. The room was showing some signs of wear and tear, and there were lightbulbs that were out- but the proprietors are lovely, kind people and are helpful. Overall a totally serviceable option!

• Jolande ten (4/5): - Accomodatie ongunstig tov Bari, alleen busvervoer mogelijk ondanks dat er bv fietshuur staat vermeld bij Expedia, in heel Bari-Palesa geen fiets-scooter of autoverhuur! Kamer is netjes, 1e dag wel schone handdoeken, 2e dag niet en erom gevraagd, de vieze lagen nog in de douche.Bedden opmaken wordt/is niet gedaan. Een karig ontbijt(ook voor Italiaanse begrippen) 1e dag 2 broodjes, 2e dag 1 briodje en 3e dag geen broodje, droge toost. Kortom eenmalig en verdiend geen aanbeveling.

• Wendy (10/5): - Host was very helpful and friendly. He was happy to pick us up from the airport with a return journey the next morning at our request. He has a lovely B&B and quiet. Good tv! Clean and a nice shower. We managed to get food delivered too. Unfortunately the bed is very hard but like most places it’s just a stopover before the next flight.

The relatively unpleasant environment (highway, train nearby) should not deter you from staying in this B&B: we did not hear any noise in our downstairs room and both rooms and breakfast were enjoyable. Well placed for short stay before a flight. Friendly owner!
• Alicia (3/5): Restless Night - Close to the airport. It was clean. Easy to get to. Space in room. The beds were uncomfortable with one a sofa pull out bed and the other two springy twins. For this price, I was hoping for a comfortable bed and a restful night sleep. No secure parking. Breakfast and coffee not satisfactory compared to other Italianlodging. Sketchy location between two highways and we did not feel safe with our family. Very unsafe to cross the street due to speeding traffic. Not good for single women or families. Cash only. Needs improvement. Not a 9 star as rated on Booking.com

• De-anna (10/5): Exceptional - Leonardo was amazingly hospitable. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was superb. Nothing was too much trouble and Leonardo picked me up and dropped me off at the airport for €15 each way. Very good price. The house is beautiful and I would love to return during the summer.
• Monika (8/5): Great location next to the airport, owners are very nice and helpful, they don’t speak (much) English though - It was very close to the airport and the owner dropped us off very early in the morning for a small fee. They also prepped us breakfast to take with. The place is a guest house next to the owners house. It’s great if you need to be close to the airport, but that’s basically it. It’s certainly not a place for long stay, given it’s location
• Verified traveler (6/5): Cash only… - They only accept cash. The room is normal. I paid for a room with balcony but there’s no balcony. I asked the reception, she said she doesn’t know and never get back to me. The toilet floor is full of water before I started using it and the mirror is with water drops as if someone used it not long ago. The room has zero noise isolation and you can hear every conversation next door has. Good things are The owner are nice and they offered airport shuttle with €20 for 5 mins drive. And the train station only 5 mins away

So very good for travelling, not so good for calm stay. Beds comfortable, polite and helpfull italian only speaking owners. Cash only payment. Bathtub shower with no curtain.
