• gypsyv2019 (10/5): Great Place in This Price Range! - I work per diem in Mexia and have stayed here half a dozen times over the past three years, from a couple of nights to a couple of months. Yes, the buildings are older and have a few "wrinkles". The main thing is that any issue I've ever encountered (from furniture to appliances) has been promptly addressed and corrected! The care that goes into this property is reflected in the very clean and well maintained swimming pool, absolutely awesome and very appreciated! The family is very friendly and accommodating. A plus (in my book) is that as riders themselves, they are motorcycle friendly. I will continue coming here any time I'm in town. For the best rates, book directly with the office. I frequently travel and have stayed in several motels in this price range around the country, including corporate facilities. This is one of the best!

• Tammi (8/5): Overall, our stay gets a thumbs up. We didn't lack for anything and we were comfortable. - The Inn was in close proximity to our event so it was conveniently located. Our queen bed was very comfortable. The shower was hot with great water pressure. Towels and tub were bright white. Our air conditioner blew very cold air which was very welcoming after we had worked outside all day. We did get in the pool and enjoyed that as well. The room smelled a little like pee. The furniture is old and faded. The bedspread looks like it's been around a long while, perhaps a few decades. The light in the ceiling would turn itself on and off randomly.

We turned on the air conditioner, called the desk and they came down, kicked air conditioner and said maybe so it is old and noisy. I said that is not An answer. Tv controller wouldn’t tune in and they fixed it. 1 face cloth and 1 face towel for 2 people. Very disappointed and will not recommend. 11 hours after getting to the room the temperature in the room is still above 88 and I brought my own fan. We are in a no smoking room and it’s smells of mold.

• DeborahH264 (10/5): Very Accomodating! - I needed a place for a 13 week contract in the area. Initially, I only booked for one week, just in case it was miserable. It was quite the opposite! While the buildings are not new, they are well kept, though the parking lot can be a little rough (but then, so are the streets in Mexia!). The pool is beautiful, clean and crystal clear! It was opened when it got hot even though it was "before dates". Nimesh and his family are friendly and helpful, quickly addressing any concerns and frequently seen outside cleaning and doing maintenance. There is a washer ($2.00) and dryer ($1.50) on site as an alternative to the nice laundromat just a few blocks down Palestine St. The Drillin' Rig Restaurant sits between the motel and the highway providing a bit of privacy and noise reduction as well as good food at a reasonable price. My room came equipped with a microwave and full size refrigerator. I'm fussy about my coffee, so brought my own coffee maker and supplies. Many of the guests here are long term, contract workers who return year after year. As a single female, I have felt safe to sit with my door open and my motorcycle has never been messed with. Nimesh also rides, so I would say this is a motorcycle friendly place! I would definitely stay here again! BTW: Both smoking and non-smoking rooms are available.

They authorized my card and didn't charge it until 4 days later. This man talked over me, yelled at me, and told me he didn't have time to talk to me. I will be disputing my charge and will not stay here anymore. This is usually where I stay when in Mexia and I know there are other options. The only give you one towel, 2 pillows on a King bed, and never have any toilet paper in the bathroom.

• coreys437 (10/5): Excellent Stay for the price - First off let me say, this isn't a 5 star property like the Ritz Carlton and shouldn't be graded as such. I paid $45 for my room on The Labor Day weekend and I believe I got more than my money's worth. The rooms were clean, cold and more than what you would expect for the price. The best part about the room was the remodeled granite bathroom with a rainfall shower head. Definitely not what I was expecting at this price point. My only issue would have been some of the less than reputable looking characters milling around the parking lot and staying in the other rooms, but that's kind of expected for $45 a night. Nothing happened though and we were perfectly safe, metal doors and dead bolts work great!

• T5964TCtonyc (8/5): Good choice - The room was spacious, clean, and neat. The property was well kept and quiet. The on-site manager was very helpful when I accidentally locked myself out of my room while walking next door to the restaurant. This is a economical and good choice.
• GB489 (2/5): Dirty room that should be labeled "hourly rates"... - We were looking for an inexpensive room for a quick overnight while visiting a lodge nearby. There are several hotels with close names (Mexia Inn, Inn at Mexia, etc). This one is located at 600 W. Palestine Street. When we drove up some questionable people were just loitering around the parking lot and were watching us unload, etc, into our room. We opened our room on the first floor (room #129) and it was dirty. There were dead and alive flies (at least 10) in the window on the inside. It was hard to tell if the sheets were dirty or stained from a lot of various fluids...and the bathroom smelled horrible. I am good with la quinta or some of the less "fancy" and economical rooms but this was terrible. We booked on Priceline but were charged on arrival before we saw the room. We feared for our safety and it truly was an uninhabitable room. The lady running the hotel/desk was very sweet and tried to put us in another room. However, nothing would have made this hotel better. We ended up across the street at the Holiday Inn (now Comfort suites) which was $40 more but worth it. Save yourself the hassle and do not stay here.
• Bulldog1965 (6/5): good value for price... - we stayed at this motel for one night. Room was fairly large and clean. Very quiet although located at an intersection.A good restaurant is located on the property-the breakfast is nice and filling. staff was helpful! we would stay again!
• capatel2678 (10/5): Great hotel for price - very impressed!! - Was very happy with this hotel. It's just me and my wife so I'm always careful where I stay. The staff was super friendly and helped me with everything I needed. The pool was very nice, the room was clean and a good size with a fridge and microwave. Good place to eat just outside the hotel I will stay at this hotel again for sure!!
• romanbout (8/5): The staff was so nice and the bed was very comfortable! - I recommend this hotel if you want a good night sleep! The only disadvantage is the parking. There is not very much of it. But the bed makes up for that!
• mike19571933 (2/5): Awful, dirty motel - This motel is not nice. Our room was dirty and the bathroom was absolutely filthy. The bathtub had moldly buildup and hair in it. It obviously is not regularly cleaned. There was exposed wiring, and some of the outlet cover plates were missing. The outside of the property was no better. Calls to the office went unanswered. I do not recommend this motel, although the adjacent restaurant was much better/cleaner, and the food was good.
