Scott (10/5): McCoy's Inn is our new go to destination when traveling to West Virginia to visit with family! - My wife and I often travel from Southeast Georgia to visit family in New Haven, West Virginia. We have tried reasonably priced motels in other towns, but we were disappointed, so we thought we'd try staying in Ripley. We have few expectations when we stay in a motel. We want a clean room, a good bed, and a decent shower. We thought we were taking a chance by booking a room at McCoy's Inn, but McCoy's Inn checked all the boxes and much more. What we thought was taking a chance by booking a room there turned out that we found our new go to destination when traveling to West Virginia. The motel was more than we could have asked for. The entire motel was immaculately clean, and our room was comfortable, clean, and obviously well kept. The bed was comfortable and the shower was very good and well stocked with clean linens. The staff was very friendly, and they went above and beyond what we expected to ensure all our needs were met. Without question, we will be back for another stay at McCoy's Inn in the future. We can recommend McCoy's Inn without reservation. There was not one thing we could complain about. As I said earlier, the motel, the staff, and our room exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

He recommended McCoy's Inn in nearby Ripley. All we can say is WOW!!! It's a small hotel...no elaborate lobby, dining, swimming pool, nor fitness center (trails for running/walking just yards away). More importantly, to us, our two room suite was large, beautifully decorated, clean, equipped with/ top notch TVs, kitchen appliances, and comfortable bed. Beautiful artwork & photographs of the area on all hallway walls. Great outdoor areas ...fire pit (w/wood), barbecue, picnic tables, concrete tables/benches overlooking It's a small hotel... no elaborate lobby, dining, swimming pool, nor fitness center (trails for running/walking just yards away). More importantly, to us, our two room suite was large, beautifully decorated, clean, equipped with/ top notch TVs, kitchen appliances, and comfortable bed. Janie (10/5): - McCoy's Inn was wonderful. The room had so much space and was clean and inviting with lots of amenities. Special shout-out to Luke who checked us in. He was so friendly and informative and did a great job of welcoming us and making us feel at home.

Meander01193363585 (10/5): Great homey, comfortable little place. - Stayed overnight and pleasantly surprised. The place looked small and dated. The parking lot was a little dark and secluded but the place had good reviews so we decided to take a chance. Glad we did. It was a little dated and not fancy but extremely clean. It had a great homey feel and everything we needed. Large comfortable rooms, coffee pot, very nice staff. Would definitely stay again.

Stephanie (10/5): - My boyfriend and I are in a long-distance relationship. The McCoy Inn is halfway for us. We visit at least once a month, and have for the last year. It is always clean. The rooms are huge (We have been in just about every room type). Check in is always easy. We both love the McCoy Inn so much. No other hotel gives you as much space for the cost.
Dogsinnerwolf (10/5): - I came into Ripley without a reservation and after finding out one hotel was full, I stopped at McCoy's Inn. First thing I noticed was how clean the Inn was. I asked if my dog is ok to come inside. She said all dogs are welcome at the inn. There is a small running creek next to the room I slep it, we rested well and I would go back. The rate to stay was a great price.

Gregory (8/5): Very good - The guy checking us in was warm, friendly, and informative. We liked the bed. We Loved the fridge with a freezer portion. It's rare that motels have that. The room was clean. We liked being on the first floor. The room smelled funky. . We get it. The windows are not designed to open, and no airflow is Not a good thing. It was stuffy. There was no breakfast. We get it that there is no where to serve it. Even just a bowl or two of Honey buns or packaged muffins would be nice. The shower had no door!! It was just a partition that came halfway out from the wall where the shower head was. It's absolutely impossible, no matter how careful a person is, to NOT get the floor wet.

Ginter (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff on check in and convenient 1st floor room. Spotless when we arrived and the cleaning staff was top notch. I had a few small requests like blankets and received them immediately. The manager (Emily??) Was attentive and courteous. It is directly next to 77 and plenty of restaurants, gas stations and shops. Will definitely stay again and recommend.

Also, RIPLEY is not really a pedestrian friendly town. I walked over to the Mexican restaurant and felt like I was risking my life crossing US 33. If I end up in Ripley in the future, I’ll stay at the holiday inn express or another town.

Thomas (4/5): Noisy and bright - The highway was very noisy. It kept me up all night. The room was night. The last time we stayed in one of the suites. It was nice. I used the vent on the microwave for white noise, but I didn't have that in the standard room. If you don't like highway noise, bring a fan or stay in one of the suites with the vent going, because you will hear every truck going down the road. And those that like to hear their noisy pipes as the speed out of Sheetz. Also, if you like it dark, it won't be. The light coming in from around the door is bright.

Front desk clerks were WONDERFUL and calming and made us feel welcomed and relaxed. It's a dog friendly motel. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Thomas (8/5): Nicely furnished - The room we stayed in was home away from home. It was nicely furnished. It was very cozy. The only down side that we had was it's next to a gas station and fitness center, but after a certain hour it quieted down. We turned the microwave vent on to high and used it as white noise. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Charles (2/5): - I assumed since the reviews were so high that this would be a great option. I was wrong. The lady in the room beside us was on the phone a lot and it sounded like she was in the room with us. Walls are very thin. You can hear everything! Property is clean-ish but very outdated. I would pay the extra money and go across the street. We thought we were getting a suite. Hahaha. It was more like a cracker box. That was our mistake but since there were very few people at the hotel, good customer service would have given us an upgrade. It’s the best marketing tool. Creates repeat customers and costs the organization nothing.
