Guest Reviews
- Christopher (10/5): Great stay comfortable and fantastic hosts - Great stay really conveniently located clean comfortable condo fabulous value for money Im lazy so being on the first floor I didn’t like the stairs. But it was only 1 flight and as I said im lazy
- Les (8/5): We would stay at the unit again. We will recommend it to other people. - The unit was suitable for the 7 night stay that we required. The description provided was accurate. Nothing really. I would suggest hand rails be installed in the shower cubicle and adjacent to the toilet.
- Melissa (7/5): - Freezer was not big enough and was unable to freeze ice bricks for lunch box each day
- Sandie (7/5): -
- Ebony (8/5): -
- Gabby (10/5): - Everything! Beautiful spot & location. Apartment was clean & had all amenities. Staff were very helpful
- Lyn (5/5): Ok - Close to glenelg but a discount due to roadworks wouldve been nice Cost in relation to state of roads in glenelg and very small for price. More a hotwl roon than aunit.
- Julie (6/5): Thankfully brief. - Location was fine Lack of mugs ( only 1 available) and general lack of kitchenware.
- ZRIM (8/5): -
- Ben (7/5): -
- jerono (10/5): - Tidy ,spacious room, conducive environment Nothing in particular but the lighting needs upgrade ooh.and the banging noise from the AC ..it scared me to the nerves. Improve on that please.
- Jennifer (5/5): It was average accommodation - It was ok for what I needed and close to shops the complementary bottle of wine was a nice touch The shower could do with a good bleach and the carpet had a few stains
- Peter (9/5): - Good accommodation and location The over -the- top registration process imposed by the owners. We have not been subjected to this before and will avoid it in future bookings. We realise that Bookings.Com had nothing to do with this.
- Loden (8/5): Very good -
- Shannon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joe (3/5): Poor -
- Jeanie (6/5): Comfortable but not what we thought. - Location was great. Very short walk to Jetty road, and supermarket.
The unit was clean, comfortable and kitchenette well appointed.
Note: "Stovetop" on the listing is a single plug in hotplate (no stove), with microwave only. Managed by Hello Host. The listing didn't specify our particular unit (33) was on the first floor. It was only accessible by stairs with no lift access. Not suitable for those with mobility issues.
In fact, an elderly couple (in another Hello Host unit next to us), complained on arrival, and requested a unit on the ground floor (they didn't get). We weren't the only ones mislead by the listing.
Prior to check in process, information was required to be uploaded online (I.D., photo, etc) & go through all the steps.
A number of messages exchanged via email and SMS (from a U.S. number). So, had to keep up with them all.
All check in information was provided via link 24 hrs prior to arrival.
Our studio unit didn't have a separate bedroom and living area. It basically looked like a large motel room, and not as spacious as we thought. I thought the charge was a bit excessive for what we got.
No washing machine or dryer inside. However, a separate coin operated laundry is inside the apartment complex.
- Jan (8/5): Great location and value for money - Location No outside area to sit
- Amanda (5/5): Stay was good but did expect the accommodation better - Location was good Walls are very thin you can hear everything going on in the rooms next door. As far as being a one bedroom apartment it wasn't we have stayed in motel rooms which were bigger.
- Errol (7/5): Good - Great location Premises a little old and tired
- Ronald (8/5): Well priced, well positioned accomodation, closed to all the good stuff. - We had breakfast around the corner in a cafe named SOMEWHERE@MOSELEY
Very friendly and the food was great. Nothing really.
- Sean (5/5): Passable -
- Cindy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hicks (7/5): Good -
- Mary (8/5): Very good - Great location, close to all amenities, beach, restaurants, yet quiet at night. Complimentary bottle of wine, which was a nice touch. Spacious, clean studio.
- Elizabeth (7/5): Amazing - Location was perfect Pillows were very hard
- Jan (7/5): Perfect for a solo-traveller in town on business, providing you don't mind the stairs. - Location was great. Very clean & tidy, with contemporary decor. Comfy bed with nice pillows and quality linen. Clean bathroom with no mouldy spots. Pre-arrival information provided was very good. No problems with remote access to unit. Digital guests guide had all the necessary info. Good fridge and all the necessary kitchen equipment. Lugging bags up and down quite steep stairs - difficult with a crook knee. Very old aluminium saucepan/cookware needs replacing. Older style stand-alone hotplate is only source of cooking anything other than microwave. Whilst the complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch, the wine itself was undrinkable. I can certainly hook the proprietors up with better SA wine providers, at eminently affordable prices, than the complimentary bottle that was offered.
- Laughlan (8/5): Very good -
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tony (7/5): Good - The location was excellent, 5 minute walk from everything you need. (Beach, tram network, restaurants, coles etc)
Quiet at night, comfortable bed, lovely hot/powerful shower.
- Mark (7/5): Good -
- Jackie (6/5): Apartment 33 - A nice bottle of complimentary wine. A free parking space. Easy walking distance to the beach, bars, shopping, cafes, restaurants, a cinema and tram to the city. Bus stop at the end of the no through road to the apartment. The noise from the next-door apartments. You could hear clearly the talking and TV.
- Miva (8/5): Very good - Location was perfect. Easy walking distance to the beach and jetty road. Lovely room, the bed was super comfy.
Communication was quick and awesome to have a bottle of wine on arrival!! Can be a bit noisy depending on your neighbours.
- Tracey (7/5): Good - Location was great Could do with updating ie kitchen and bathroom
- Emma (7/5): Comfortable stay. Room could use a refresh. - Location Dated
- Fryer (1/5): Rubbish - Location is close to everything Overpriced, aircon/heater is that noisy you can't sleep with it on, cook top was a one burner under the sink, very noisy outside, doors banging everywhere, walls super thin, extremely old building. Asked to check out at 11am instead of 10am was told I'd have to pay $25, what a joke . My mate stayed at Liberty got 4 hrs late check out for free, area looks dodgy at night would not recommend to anyone to stay there.
- Natalie (10/5): Went for AFL Gather Round. Close to transport to CBD. close to Oval in Glenelg. - Great location.
- Dei (7/5): Good - unit could have been bigger
- Carey (9/5): We will definitely stay here next time we visit - Great value, perfect location. I would definitely stay here again.
- Gillian (8/5): Very good - Good location.
Basic accommodation.
Good value Poor communication. Despite '24hour desk' there was no response to our request to leave luggage before the check in time. We are seniors who had arrived after a long journey and were frankly exhausted. We waited on the veranda for an hour waiting for a response as we knew a fee may be applicable. When no reply came, and it being obvious there was no one in the studio, we left the luggage.
A fee was very quickly requested. It seems they can communicate when they want to.
The wording in their message suggested they could have taken circumstances into consideration but as we had done this 'without permission'' they would have to apply the fee.
We were happy to pay this but there was no simple way of doing this. We ended up spending a whole day ( hubby's 70th birthday) creating a foreign currency bank account to pay $25.
It's been many years since I have been addressed like a naughty child.
Left a nasty feeling throughout the stay.
- Natalie (8/5): Very good -
- Domenico (10/5): Enjoyable week in Adelaide - Location was good, shops easy walking distance. A couple of mornings planes flying overhead from 6am.
- Jamie (9/5): Superb -
- Trevor (9/5): Superb - all good.
- Neil (8/5): Excellent location, easy to access and good value for money. - Location. Ease of booking and key collection.
Comfortable. Nothing.
- Rachael (5/5): Passable - Location is a great Not worth the price paid. Not a comfortable room to stay in if you were wanting to relax and read on holiday. Keen to leave the room early in the day and not go back until late/after dinner.
- Jenny (3/5): Poor - We did not receive a code to enter the property and were required to phone on arrival.
It was hard to get someone on the phone and we were required to call the emergency number.
also felt like we were a nuisance when we had to do this.
- Ross (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (8/5): Terrific unit, well maintained, clean, comfy and bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch. - Location was great. 2 minute walk to Mosley Square eateries and beach, tram and Coles Not pretty from the outside and not as bright and airy as the pictures suggest but comfy and quiet inside
- Dani (7/5): Overall enjoyable. - Location was good and easy to get to places although a little misleading- elderly retirees and commission area ( fire alarm went off in opposite building)
Bed was comfy, everything we needed with a few extra touches. My husband would like nice tea ( even twinnings)
The smell- the smell diffuser takes away from the place.
The towels were a little worn.
- Barry (8/5): Very good -
- Cary (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Maxine (9/5): Superb - Great location. Lovely and clean and a comfy bed. The wine on arrival was a lovely added touch!
- Max (8/5): While little time was spent in room the convenience and price was great. - Convenient location close to family and easy in and out vehicular access. Carrying luggage up and down stairs.
- Magnus (8/5): Very good - The room was well appointed and provided most of what you may require. The sitee was very uncomfortable to sit in.
- Claudia (10/5): Relaxing staycation - The location, the size of the apartment, the parking, the ease of booking and communication. We're from the country so weren't used to planes flying nearby or hearing people in the next apartments or hearing screen doors slamming but these were all external issues and don't reflect on the apartment and our excellent stay.
- Kay (9/5): Super clean apartment in a great location close to the beach yet central for all facilities. - This was an immaculately clean, beautiful apartment with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was super comfy and the kitchen area and facilities adequate for easy meal making. Great location just 5 mins from beautiful beach and tram terminus. Easy walk to shops and eclectic collection of food outlets and restaurants.
The hosts were just an e mail away and were kind leaving a welcome bottle of wine and ensured we had everything we needed for a great stay. Thank you, only wish we had stayed longer. We loved everything about our stay.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - The location was fantastic and it was easy to find the accommodation and get into our room. It was also a quiet location and the communication with the owner was excellent.
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional - We thoroughly enjoyed this place. Just a few minutes walk to the beach, the shops and cafes, even the tram stop was right there. Brilliant Our only disappointment was the laundry and bbq facilities, but we understand they are managed through the booking agency.
- Roy (8/5): Very good - All fittings and appliances were good Nobody available on site to assist when the key code didn't work on arrival. After a long flight this is the last thing you need.
- Courtney (10/5): lovely room near to a beautiful beach - very close to the beach, complimentary wine and greeting cards, comfortable bed, close to bus station
- Michelle (6/5): Thoroughly enjoyed the location, Glenelg is the best. - the location was excellent. We stayed 8 nights, but the room didn’t get serviced. Hence there was a pile of dirty towels on the floor for the majority of our trip. The crockery wasn’t very clean on arrival. I had to buy clothes pegs and a clothes horse to do laundry. Overall it all felt a little dirty.
- Luke (8/5): Very good -
- Giorgia (9/5): Superb -
- Rona (4/5): Disappointing -
- Brad (6/5): clean and comfortable room very handy to Jetty Rd and Glenelg Beach. - location
clean and comfortable looks terrible from the outside
no one on hand if you have a problem (which we didn’t)
- Gelu (9/5): Superb -
- Brennan (8/5): Great base - Location. Size. Bathroom. Noise from neighbour - loud voices late evening.
Cupboard with crockery smelt very musty.
Extractor fans need cleaning
- Bruce (10/5): Brilliant location and very comfortable -
- Lynne (7/5): Good - Sun streaming in the unit in the afternoon.
Close proximity to the beach and restaurants and cafes First story
Small unit
Thin walls from neighbours
- Daniel (10/5): Enjoyed our stay, vert much. - Good location, and very practical. Maybe clearer directionstofind the apartment.
- Sharon (7/5): Good - Great location Pillows and hard bed
