Jeff (10/5): - What a unique stay at this amazing property! The owner greeted us upon arrival and immediately made us feel welcome after a long day of travel and jet lag. He even got up early to prepare an incredible breakfast before our excursion complete with fresh crepes and all the toppings, plus a delicious homemade omelet. There was also an impressive selection of other classic French breakfast items. The Château itself was spotless, peaceful, and full of charm and to top it off, you can even enjoy a game of pool downstairs. An unforgettable experience, highly recommend!

Nicola (10/5): - A very comfortable night's sleep in a lovely traditional room overlooking the garden, with an extra bed for our daughter and a large bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful with a wonderful choice including fresh fruit, juices, continental buffet and additional options of eggs and bacon / crepes which were cooked to order. Friendly hosts in such a beautiful and peaceful setting and only a 10-15 minute drive from the centre of Bayeux. Overall, excellent value for money and we'd definitely return, hopefully for longer next time. Highly recommended.

ron (8/5): - Nice safe parking. Impressive looking Chateaux with lovely gardens with orchard. Really relaxing feel. Our room was exceptional very spacious, comfortable bed, lovely seating area. Good shower over the bath. Nice glass view over the garden. Coffee / tea facility restricted, kettle, coffee sachet only 2 and tea bags with long life milk. I feel sure if we had asked the owners would have provided fresh milk. I did notice on leaving that there was a fridge on the ground floor hallway, not sure if that was for guests use or not. Breakfast was really good great selection and the owner was really accomodating with choice. Our car broke down and while waiting for the breakdown service. The owners very kindly dropped us off in Bayeaux over the next two days.

Ellyn (8/5): - I think the property offers a very good value. The rooms are basic but clean and they provide a bountiful breakfast. The dining table and the accoutrement on them are slightly sticky, but we enjoyed a lovely home cooked meal of crepes, eggs your way and bacon, plus all the baked goods you can eat. The grounds are lush and have a medieval defense tower which was very picturesque.

If you are looking for modern and charmless, this place is not for you! Please note that they do not have an elevator so if you have bad knees please note. Saying that, my bum knees said this place was worth a little pain!

CRAIG (10/5): Craig & Mary Bayeux 2024 - We loved everything about our stay. The location, the history, the breakfast. Vincent and Corrine were very gracious hosts. Vincent recommended a few restaurants nearby for dinner and he even made the reservations! He also cooked dinner for us one night that we think was the best meal we had. He is a very good chef. They really made it feel like a home away from home. If we ever return to the Bayeux area, we wouldn`t think of staying anywhere else.

Michele (10/5): A delightful break in Chateau Damigny - A fantastic stay at Chateau Damigny. Our hosts Vincent and Corinne were exceptional…friendly,welcoming and extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. The breakfast was outstanding and the meal we had (by prior arrangement with the host) was typically French,well cooked and extremely generous! It was the best meal of our holiday. Vincent is a talented chef …the food was delicious and the portions were plentiful. The Château is extremely peaceful and enjoys extensive grounds. Just outside of Bayeux , the Château is well placed for visiting Bayeux ,the D-Day landing beaches and other attractions in the area. There is a large amount of tourist information readily available at the Château. We are already looking forward to a return visit.

O banheiro impecável com banheira de hidromassagem, tem secador de cabelos, amenidades, toalhas limpinhas e com secador para ficarem quentinhas. Tudo com muito cuidado e esmero. E uma sala anexa ao quarto que dá para o jardim com uma vista espetacular.

While the room itself was charming, with classic features, the bathroom had been completely updated with a jetted tub. We also had a sun room, and a living area with tea service!

I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a diversion from a typical hotel and would like to be in the countryside just minutes from Bayeux.
Tracy (10/5): - My husband & I absolutely loved this place. The host was amazingly helpful and friendly. A lovely room in a beautiful property surrounded by lovely well kept grounds. The fab breakfast (loads of it) was included in the price which was already fantastic value. Top tip; If you’d like to eat dinner here you have to book it with the host before arrival or first thing in the morning (it smelt amazing). Only 1 negative which isn’t a deal breaker for us was the squeaking floor boards. We will definitely stay here when we visit again.

The reception and attention to detail was absolutely spot on, the breakfast was one of the best I have ever experienced over the years, and all in all it was a most enjoyable stay which I would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet break, and a change of scenery.

Sherry (10/5): - Beautiful small chateaux within an easy 10 minutes of the center of Bayeux. The host was very helpful. His breakfast buffet was plentiful with many choices of fresh breads, pastries, hams, cheeses, fresh fruits, yogurt, cereals, etc. A plate of warm crepes was brought to the table, and an offer to cook eggs, bacon, or omelette. Each table had a complement of 6 homemade jams, coffee, a thermos of hot water for tea, and juice. Be sure to take a walk around the grounds to see the old tower, and also the orchard where the host collects the fruit for the jams.
Sherry (10/5): - This is a delightful smaller chateau with spacious rooms filled with light from the tall windows. We stayed in the accessible room on the ground floor. It was thoughtfully laid out and very comfortable. The lights were bright enough for reading at night, the wifi was excellent, and there were many places to recharge devices. Water/coffee/tea was available in the room. The breakfast spread was vast including fresh bread/croissants, hams, cheeses, fresh fruits, yogurt, cereal, and pastries. The host/chef brought out crepes each morning, and also offered to prepare eggs/bacon as one wished. On the table were multiple choices of jams, spreads, etc. and all the jams were homemade from fruits on the property. The property has a lovely lawn with chairs to enjoy the sun. It is worth taking a short walk to the old tower at the corner of the lawn, and also down to the orchard. But if you do it early in the morning, as I did, you may come back with very wet shoes from the dew!

Carol Ann (6/5): Couple - Located in a remote private area. Our first impressions on arrival alterered our experiemce and stay but I would rather not comment so not to embarrass the owners. There is no reatuarant so we went to the a village approximately 9km away and it was okay. Our room was bug a spacious althought there is no curtains in the conservatory so you can be seen when walking to the bathroom.

Stephen (8/5): Great place to unwind - The Place is as it is shown. Large rooms and a warm welcome. Breakfasts? You are spoilt for choice. The only downside is that there is no evening meal available. With extensive grounds and a robot lawnmower that seems not to cut very much, it is a great place to unwind. Beware the loose gravel drive (it had just been laid) if you are on two wheels.

Eggs cooked to order with all the sides...fresh oj , croissant, breads, cheese, fruit.....nothing left out!! Only complaint was jacuzzi tub/shower was very hard to get in and out of.
Pablo (10/5): Globetrotter - We had a wonderful 3nights! Our room was on the main floor because we had large, heavy suitcases. It was clean, roomy and well appointed. There’s a small communal refrigerator available outside the room, which was very handy. The breakfasts are amazing with crepes, cooked to order eggs, etc. We were able to enjoy one dinner offered. The chef (Vincent?) is excellent!! If we ever have the opportunity to return to that area of France, we will want to stay there again. It was close to Bayeux and the Normandy area. We were able to get our Covid test in nearby Caen, thanks to Vincent, then drive back for breakfast, pack up, and head to Paris to fly back home to the states. It was a wonderful experience, and lovely memory.
Albert (10/5): - Great place to stay if you are trying to see the main D Day sites. Very near a major highway. Peaceful place, clean, great staff, free parking. Free breakfast… that is top notch.
Allan (8/5): - In a lovely quiet location with nice gardens. The property was undergoing some minor building work at the time but was not a concern. If you like living with that old French chateau feeling then this will definitely fit the bill, we enjoyed every minute. There is no reception you are free to come and go as you please. The family who run this hotel are very friendly, helpful and speak English. A wide variety of breakfast was served every morning catering for all tastes. Only issue was being on the outskirts of Bayeux there was no bars or shops to walk to. You will rely solely on a car. The location for the Normandy beaches was excellent with between a 15 to 25 min drive. Bayeux town was only a 7 min drive and a wonderful location to tour with plenty of restaurants.

The hotel has only 5 rooms so you received a personal service. For us the bed was on the firm side and we would have preferred some a little softer, otherwise very good.
Chie (8/5): Great service at nicely renovated house - I thought location was relatively nice if you have a car. Pretty easily accessible from nearby towns of Caen as well as Bayeux. Very friendly and accommodating service from the hosts. We requested dinner service ahead of time. Both dinner and breakfast served were great. We were the only guests on that particular night and we had a nice conversation over drink after dinner. Name Chateau is a bit misleading, though, it is a left over of the historical Damigny castle that was nicely renovated. It was a little smaller than what I have expected. Nothing bad about it, but I had a different expectation based on some other hotel chateau in other places.

Over the top breakfast with everything one can imagine. Chef/owner prepared dinner by reservation smelled incredible, wished we had known in advance. Good location for Normandy, D-Day tours, and Bayeux Tapestry Museum.
Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved our stay at the Chambres d'hotes Chateau de Damigny. We had multiple rooms including a beautiful all window room to enjoy the full moon! The highlight is the breakfast which is the best breakfast at a B&B we had ever had. Kudos to this wonderful place!

The grounds are immaculate and artistically gardened.I loved it there it was quiet, the wind blowing through the trees, the goldfish pond and the beautiful fountain.Breakfast were amazing everything you could possibly imagine on the table.
Verified traveler (10/5): - This property is an authentic old chateau. The building is beautiful and the interior is charming. Our room had an outer sitting area , a bedroom, bath with jacuzzi, and a large wonderful sunroom. We bought bread, wine and cheese and ate in the sunroom. I didn’t know that our kind host will prepare dinner. The breakfast was amazing!! Crepes, flaky croissants, fruit, cheese, and yogurt. He offers to make eggs and bacon as well. Excellent coffee!! I highly recommend this wonderful place.
Mitch&Sherlyn (10/5): - This place is a treat for those who enjoy something different in the way of unusual lodging. The rooms are quiet, massive and comfortable if not in the best of shape with a hokey mix of old furniture. A real treat is the best breakfast ever prepared by the owner/chef.

Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a great property with all of the charm of a mid century castle, the owners have done a great job of rennovating the rooms, very nice and clean. The breakfast was classic french cusine, very tasty and abundant. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future.
Nigel (10/5): Charming, relaxed wonderful olde worle charm - Wonderful, rustic, slightly eccentrically French chateau atmosphere full of charm and character. Vincent the host could not be more welcoming relaxed and likeable, his wife Corinne too. Vincent also prepares the most stunning breakfast you are ever likely to encounter anywhere! A mountain of pancakes enough for an entire battalion with his own home-made caramel sauce and home baked cakes and eggs whichever way you tell him. Huge bath fresh and new, and hot water taps that go backwards! Adorable.
Paige (10/5): Wonderful stay in a great location - My friends and I had an amazing time. The chateaux was beautiful and it was fun to read up on its interesting history. The location and grounds were perfect and the breakfast in the morning was absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend!
