Perfect location for the wedding we went to. Wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the pub next door and beautiful village it was in. If I could pick one tiny, tiny thing is that it needed a mirror in the bedroom, but it did have a big mirror in bedroom, which was perfect, but would have been great if one in the room, but that is being very very picky as everything was perfect.

The host was very responsive & accommodating with all our requests regarding room arrangements, parking, and late check in. The location and views were so calming, rooms were spacious, clean & well equipped with some snacks, teas, coffees etc. Definitely saving this spot for whenever I happen to return to King’s Lynn.

I panicked that I hadn’t paid enough, we had a dog and it was £10 a night which I hadn’t paid, but I left a voicemail, very quick response via text and they said to just to leave cash in the room (had I read the instructions, I would’ve known that) Room was large, lovely underfloor heating. Lovely rustic furniture. Everything was nice. The tea tray was perfect, so much choice. Handy for castle acre, we will be coming back, as we booked while our house was being decorated! We want to come back to get the full experience of having the George and Dragon literally on site (it was being refurbished during our stay) definitely would recommend!!!

• The-Northern-Monkee_ (6/5): Not bad as long as your room doesn't smell - Stayed a few times over the years. Rooms aren't too bad, starting to look a bit tired in places and the mattresses are a bit flat now. Most annoyingly on the last stay, the previous occupants had obviously been smoking weed in the room as the smell hit you as soon as you opened the door - it was especially bad around the window (smell had been absorbed in to the curtains). Ended up sleeping with the windows wide open which meant quite a cold night.

The onsite pub is quirky but nice and the food is really good and the staff friendly although the kitchen does close relatively early. I find the shower a bit awkward, would benefit from a shower screen rather than a curtain.

It is right next to a pub that serves decent food and pints. If I am being really picky, the TV jumps a bit every few moments. I guess the area has bad signal.

• rilo2312 (10/5): Fantastic sized Room. Fully equipped with all that you need. Great comfortable beds. Fabulous shower and bathroom. Highly recomm - Having relatives in both Downham and Wells Next to Sea this is the perfect location to see both. The rooms are as large and comfortable as any competitors that I have stayed in, everything you can think of is catered for. The decor really impressive. I am unsure of the motels relationship with the neighbouring George and Dragon pub but they work perfectly together. We will gladly stay there again on our next visit to the area.

Coffee & tea facilities plus a decent fridge with small but adequate freezer area for our picnic ice blocks (so hot at the time). Staff were helpful both answering queries beforehand and on site. Next to a pub which serves the most delicious food. Shame it doesn’t offer breakfast. Shower instead of a bath. Breakfast at the pub would have been ideal. Will not stop us from returning tho!
• Sandra (9/5): 9/10 awesome, but lost a point for the grimy shower. - Perfect spot really. Really modern, spacious & great coffee machine. Amazing water pressure. Note for manager: Areas of the shower tiles were utterly filthy. Obviously hadn’t been cleaned in months, felt grimy being in the shower near them. Someone needs to clean properly! Note for guests: I’m quite sure the shower will now get cleaned before your stay, so I wouldn’t let it put you off. But make sure you put it in your review if it doesn’t.
• Amanda (6/5): Pretty setting. Disappointing stay. - The Pig Shed is set in picturesque countryside beside the George and Dragon pub but run separately from the pub. The room and bathroom were spacious and well decorated although the bathroom is a little tired in places. The bed was not comfortable - the mattress too hard for my liking and the duvet thin. The Pig Shed is managed with eco- friendly practices. The ceramic tiles of the floor were already cold at the start of September but the underfloor heating is not switched on until autumn. The notes for customers say that the motel can be contacted if that becomes a problem. I had to do so. The response was to offer a small, portable heater which they helpfully did however, it was not the room that was not cold as such , only the floor which could not be comfortably walked on with bare feet. Presumably this will no longer be an issue after autumn begins ( although this happened in September). I was woken with housekeeping banging on the door at 8.30am after a poor night's sleep. It was the housekeeping staff member who continued to bang at the door until I got out of bed and opened the door. She said " oh sorry. I didn't know that you were there." 8.30am is too early to wake your clients. No breakfast is supplied but there are plenty of tea and Nespresso options on offer.

Bathroom although decent had some water damage due to bath with shower over rather than separate bath and shower. A very minor criticism.

My only complaint was the fact there is no mirror in the main room where the dressing table area is so when getting ready and straightening my hair and doing make up it wasn’t convenient with only a mirror in the bathroom. But it wouldn’t stop me coming back. The pub next door was amazing food and atmosphere and the staff where very very good. Would return. There isn’t much else close by but we knew this before we came as we wasn’t planning on venturing out anyway so the pub was perfect for us.
