Guest Reviews
- JOAN (10/5): -
- Isabel (9/5): - Sehr schönes Haus und toller Garten mit Pool. Das sehr leckere Abendessen war leider extrem teuer
- Roman Neradný (10/5): -
- Deborah (9/5): - Family run establishment, helpful, friendly and very obliging.
The swimming pool was such a bonus after a long hot walk on the Camino.
A meal in the hotel was an added bonus and was very tasty and really good value for money. Owner organised taxis to transport us back to the Camino. Whilst the pool was a bonus the hotel needs to consider more sunbeds etc for beside the pool. Pool towels should be provided.
A vegetarion option other than salad should be offered.
House keeping issues such as non functioning bedside lights.
- Michael (10/5): Magnificent - The welcome was magnificent, and the location was perfect for our Celtic Camino.
The dinner served in the evening was magnificent, cooked and served to perfection in the Galician style. The hosts treat you as a member of the family.
- Hryckowian (10/5): - To hotel z basenem.
- jane (10/5): Wonderful rural retreat whilst hiking Camino Ingles - Fantastic staff, comfy beds, wonderful meal ( the restaurant was closed, but they made us a home cooked meal of octopus, followed by super tender beef ) Wifi weak in bedroom, fine in lounge

- Helen (9/5): - Lovely setting, quiet location, pool was wonderful. Staff very welcoming and although little English was spoken , we were able to communicate by our phones . They made us some delicious meals .

- Micaela (10/5): Perfect place - Wonderful Place everything was perfect.
To highlight the person kindness Nothing
- Mororo (9/5): Superb -
- Jenny (9/5): Superb - Beautiful property and staff couldn't do enough. Perfect for Camino
- Simon (10/5): Perfect - Beautiful house in the perfect location. The gardens were immaculate, the rooms clean and smart and the view from the pool was incredible. Nothing - perfect
- James (10/5): Terrific stop while walking the Camino Ingles. A nice splurge. - Beautiful property. Well maintained. Loved the bathroom with deep bathtub. Was very nice to soak in the tub after walking from A Coruña. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the staff was very nice and helpful. There is a nice swimming pool, too!
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeth (10/5): A fantastic break after walking from A Coruña on our way to Santiago de Compostela. A perfect reset, physically and spir - Beautiful location, peaceful! Amazingly warm staff, lovely room with balcony and outlook on to property. The best place we have stayed on the Camino Inglés - we treated ourselves to this luxury!
- Andrea (10/5): What a find! Like a piece of heaven with two angels to care for us! - Not enough space here to describe how wonderful this place is and how fabulous our stay was. We arrived on foot - having walked 26 kms (walking the Camino Inglés) near collapse! Maria immediately took us in hand. Water, wine, and snacks to keep us going until the amazing, home-cooked "simple" dinner of -again!- homemade croquettas, melt-in-your-mouth beef, salad, veggies, wine, dessert! And friendly chatter from Maria and the delightful Carlos. Next day, Maria even went off to find some ointment for the leg rash that one of our party developed. Like I said, not enough space here! Our stay here was like going home to your favorite relatives! Thank you Maria, Carols, and Inés! Nothing!
- Engelina (9/5): Superb -
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional - Comfy beds and willingness to offer food when the restaurant was closed Nothing
- Richard (10/5): Beautiful, peaceful, and hospitable - Beautiful spacious house with the bonus of a pool in lovely countryside. The taxi driver said "very nice" when we pulled up. The evening meal was delicious and plentiful. Only a 7 minute walk to the Camino Ingles, 50 km walk to Santiago. There was no air con, but it wasn't hot and the room was big, so it was not an issue when we went. It would have been perfect if they'd spoken English.
- Sue (10/5): Welcoming and hospitable casa - gracias - Lovely staff - really friendly and helpful. Clean spacious rooms. The food for our evening meal was perfect. Nothing
- Happy (10/5): an amazing hotel and definitely the best place we stayed on our trip. I want to go back again. - This is a stunning little hotel just 10 minutes walk off the Camino Ingles(Celtic Camino) In the village swing left away from the camino route and in the direction of the Church. You can see it in the distance. The hotel is just beyond the Church. in total 10 minutes walk.
The hotel is beautiful with fabulous rooms. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the valley. There is an outdoor swimming pool and plenty of tranquil places to sit in the garden after a long days walking. The Owners cooked us a great evening meal and were so kind and helpful. I definitely would like to visit again. I liked everything
- Marco (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brady (9/5): Would like to return with my family - Beautiful decoration
Fab garden and pool
Very friendly staff It was very quiet
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Pamela (10/5): An unexpected beautiful restful stop along the Camino Inglés way. - What a wonderful place! The grounds, staff, my room and breakfast all exceeded my expectations. Not a thing!
- Richard (10/5): Fabulous Casa. - Absolutely outstanding Casa.large comfortable room with large bathroom. Very pleasant and helpful staff, lovely fresh breakfast. Great out-of-town location, and fabulous garden. Couldn’t wish for anything more. It was all perfect
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was very helpful and friendly, the pool was lovely and the food was good. Our beds also were comfortable and the room was quiet. It was also located near the Camino Ingles.
- Marina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sigrid (10/5): The best place in the Galicia region! - Casa das Veigas is a pearl, located only 100 meters from the Camiño Inglés A Coruna route. The staff is incredible and we felt at home immediately. Never have we experienced such service minded staff. This stay is by far the best compared to all our stays in the Galicia region. everything was perfect
- Michael (7/5): satisfactory - the pool and gardens, room. the jacuzzi bath did not work and the owner kindly drove us to a bar restaurant in a nearby village which she said would supply a meal but they only had bread soup and ham tapas and no other good.
- Ricardo (9/5): We loved our stay there and would definately recommend it - Breakfast was good and generous, room was lovely as were the bathroom facilities, gardens were gorgeous and there is free parking and easy access to La Coruña by car, helpful staff with recommendations of restaurants to visit, lovely welcoming house feel A little hard to find, wrapped towels and bedding left in lift for two nights presumably for other rooms, rusty bin in bathroom, which left it down, it's so close to being perfect.
- Michael (5/5): Not terrible - disappointing, irritating. - nice garden Just not interested in guests. As another reviewer warned - more interested in events & gatherings - hence the huge car park.
For context - we travel a lot, 10 stops on this trip in France and Spain. We’re not fussy but we do like good value. We don’t expect 5 star welcome & facilities for 3 star properties. So this review is in the context of the previous 7 hotels and acknowledging that many businesses are still in post-pandemic recovery. But this was more like a hostel.
Poor communications - call late afternoon asking why we hadn’t checked in. E-Mail sent that morning - 1800/1900 not read.
Communications a major flaw here - and not language we have good Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French - take your pick but literally no information on the property - in reception, in the room or on the website.
Despite all the detail on how wonderful the restaurant is we were told ‘it’s closed.’ No explanation or when it might be open. Again - we travel a lot and understand seasonality and each country/region has different closed days but the reality is that this is not a hotel and the restaurant is not a restaurant. It’s a kitchen to serve events.
True - the lady who checked us in offered to lead us to a recommended local cafe, this turned into being given directions. We are capable of finding our own way around and just as well - the lowest rated place in the town - ten minutes away.
On return - car park entrance blocked by party organisers’ cars.
The room - large but awkward. Nowhere to put cases, no table - a huge TV had just been dumped on the tiny one. Floor hadn’t been swept or vacuumed. Had soap dispenser empty, no grab handles for shower/bath - no glass/tumbler - and a dozen other small irritants.
Just an impression of not being guest focused.
Breakfast. I’d say training was in school catering not hospitality. Cash & carry processed food - basically cheese, ham, tomato and sliced bread - all tasting pretty much of nothing.
- Jason (8/5): Classic building but too far from Camino Ingles - Beautiful building with excellent pool and gardens Location for Camino Ingles was 4 mile diversion. Staff inattentive apart from Night Manager. Restaurant advertised but not open
- Darragh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): despite being out of way, it opened another opoortunity for us to try another way from presedo. still we were abke to w - the cleanliness of the place and the homy feeling it gave. we were also able to splunge in the pool after a long tiring walk a little out of way from the pilgrimage as we did the camino ingles from ferrol
