Great location, next to the market leading to the old town and nice beach 10 minutes walk away. Strong WiFi also and lots of restaurants and takeaways nearby. For a 2* hostel, this place far exceeded my expectations.

• Damian (9/5): Very recommend it hostel in Split! - Šime is a great host, he waited for me for the check in and it was very smooth. He gave me great tips about what to see/do in Split, restaurants and places to go out at night. I was upgraded to a spacious room at street level, with a queen size bed, a couch and a small bed. There is a common area who has a fridge, a kitchenette, pans, pots and cutlery. You can also do laundry there for a price. Location is A+, a short walk to Diocletian Palace and the Promenade. Great deal in Split! Sometimes there was a bas sewage smell in the common area before entering the room.

• VALENTIN (9/5): This place is wonderful for staying — the hostel staff will suggest interesting spots and meet you h - I really liked that the owner of Hostel Split unexpectedly met us halfway and upgraded our room for free — it pleasantly surprised us. The kitchen is very clean, the staff is friendly, and the place is cozy and quiet. The price is amazing — for such a low cost by resort town standards, this gorgeous hostel feels more like a hotel, and it’s close to the market, the pier, and the sea. What I didn’t like is that there are no signs indicating such a wonderful hostel is there — we couldn’t find it and had to ask the locals for directions. That’s the only thing I didn’t like; we didn’t find any other downsides.

Jak na hostel to bardzo pozytywnie oceniam wielkość i standard pokoju. Blisko do starówki, sklepy tuż za rogiem. Byliśmy trzy noce, z czego dwie noce pod oknem ktoś strasznie hałasował. Mamy świadomość że bliskość starego miasta ma na to wpływ ale lepiej uprzedzić. Komuś może to przeszkadzać w większym stopniu. To tacy „wracający z nocnych imprez”.

• Wiebke (10/5): Perfekt ausgestattete, ruhige Wohnung im historischen Dachgeschoss ganz nah am Zentrum - super! - Rundum perfekt! Charmante komplette Wohnung im Dachgeschoss eines historischen Hauses. Sehr nah am Zentrum, am Wasser, an Fähre und Bahnhof, und doch eine kleine Ruheoase. Vollständige Küche mit Geschirrspüler und Ofen, Sofa und Esstisch. Zwei Schlafzimmer (Doppelbett, zwei Einzelbetten) je mit Schrank, Kleines aber funktionales Bad. Drei Klimaanlagen (Wohnküche und beide Schlafzimmer) und vor den Fenstern schaut man sogar auf ein paar Bäume. Das Personal war sehr nett und hat vom Empfang zur Unterkunft eine Straße weiter sogar unser Gepäck mitgetragen. Es war alles mehr als in Ordnung, hier aber zwei kleine Hinweise: Man sollte kein Problem mit Treppen habe, da es im alten Haus recht steil hoch geht und das teils ohne Geländer. Wegen der Dachschrägen ist die Wohnung für sehr große Personen vielleicht nicht ganz so geeignet.

• Nadja (7/5): Great location and helpful management, but unpleasant roommates and a strange smell in the replacement room made the sta - The location is fantastic – just a few minutes’ walk from the harbor, perfect for strolls, day trips, or simply arriving in Split. My first room felt like a real stroke of luck: bright, cozy, with adjustable air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and a clean bathroom. I slept so well that I wanted spontaneously extended my stay! The building is set up more like a small apartment with three rooms sharing one bathroom – and at first, with a group of quiet girls as neighbors, the atmosphere was really pleasant and friendly. A special shoutout goes to the manager: when things got uncomfortable on the second night with new roommates who unfortunately weren’t considerate at all (loud burping in a row, not flushing after using the toilet, etc.), he personally showed up at 11:30 p.m. and quickly arranged another room for me. That level of attention and care really stood out – thank you for that! 🙏 The replacement room, while private with its own bathroom and offered at a special rate, was in the basement area – it was a bit cold and had a strong smell of cleaning products or insect repellent, which made it hard for me to feel at ease. I’m quite sensitive to that, though others may not mind it at all. Also, while the shared apartment-style setup is charming, the experience really depends on who you’re sharing with. Unfortunately, the good start was dampened by the behavior of the next group of guests. A hostel with heart, in a great location and run by a helpful team. For solo travelers like me – who like a bit of quiet but are open to connection – it was an interesting experience with ups and downs. I’m grateful for the flexibility and will remember that first night fondly.

Lo único malo es que había olor a cloaca todo el tiempo, dado que la ventana del baño se encuentra hacia el desagüe de la calle lindera. The room was spacious, clean and matched the pictures. The location was excellent, about a 5 minute walk from everything (old town, docks, bus stop and market) There was no salt, oil or condiments in the kitchen.

Had to pay to use the washing machine. Washing machine was in my kitchenette so people coming and going inside regularly.

The location is perfect and very central as well. We cannot wait for our next stay in Split and when we do, we are planning to stay at the same Hostel!
• Christopher (10/5): Quiet, comfortable and great location - The receptionist was exceptional - not only did she explain all the hotspots and places to check out in the area, but was also very accommodating to our requests for filling up water bottles and using the bathroom after check out. The location is also great - right across from the Green Market, next to 2 bakeries and a supermarket, and only 4 minutes walk from the main harbour for ferries. And for the price we paid for the room, it was great value for money. Beds were incredibly comfortable, room was spacious and there were cupboards for each bed too. The bathroom was also quite spacious. Not much to add here really. If I had to add anything it's that the room we had (2 sets of bunk beds) was a weird shape, but it's much nicer in person!

• Victoria (9/5): Great value in great location - Location is SO CLOSE to everything Port and trains literally across the road, 5min walk Green market and Old town/palace literally across another road Despite this it's in a quiet back street behind a supermarket and pharmacy, with 3 bakeries, 2 of them 24hrs right in front. Room was clean, with TV and fridge and enough plugs for everything. Bed sturdy enough Aircon great Owner was super nice and helpful, talking me through everything and offering his help because i was travelling alone Only really minor issues Twin room with bunk is next to the shared bathroom, which you can hear, but more annoyingly, it has a very light door that people slam and a noisy lock. So if you sleep super light then it may wake you. Its not at all a room to spend any time in, but its not designed for that I guess The window in the room moved!? when you open it, like the entire frame moved in the wall. Duno how sturdy that is.... Pillow was tiny but, again, i'm just fussy

• Grace (10/5): Kind staff and clean facilities - The staff were incredibly helpful, the owner/manager checked us in and asked if we were a couple as we had booked a bunk bed with shared bathroom (saving money on a long euro trip) and then asked if we would like to be upgraded to a room with a private bathroom and double bed as it was available. The room was enormous and had a tv, which was such a treat after staying in hostels etc for the past few weeks, it was a very generous offer from the owner. The room was clean and well appointed with linens, the bathrooms were very clean and large in size. The location of the property is great for both old town and then port, with a short walk to a large public beach also. We really enjoyed our stay! The shared kitchen only really has a microwave and kettle for cooking - just good to be aware of

• Orla (8/5): Good location for Split - Good location within walking distance of the beach, the Split riva etc. Located next to 2 supermarkets with a pharmacy, bakery, and markets very close also. The staff in reception were very friendly and helpful with their recommendations. The WiFi connection wasn’t the best.
• Sini (6/5): Cheap - you get what you pay for. - This was easy and cheap but it's not a hostel. When I book a hostel, I expect it to have hostel kind of activities that bring the travelers together, that there's a sense of community. This was more like a cheap and shabby airbnb. However, I wanted to go for a cheap option and experience what it's like, this experience definitely reflected what I paid for. It felt pretty impossible to check-in. People were coming and going and there wasn't any clarity on what happens or when so better have a lax attitude towards the communicated times. Also, there were staff smoking outside our window and even when we had the windows closed, it smelled like cigarette smoke. A big negative impact for us.

It was easy to find and close to bus and ferry! Would recommend it to anyone Nothing, unfortunately it was sold out next time we wanted to book again! But that’s a good thing anyway

• Monika (10/5): It was a truly great stay! - Me and my two friends came for short trip to Split so we booked a triple room at this hostel. It was simple, but that’s exactly what we needed since we knew we’re going to be outdoors for the most part, exploring the city! The room was clean, towels and sheets were ready and prepared for us upon arrival. Spacious, could easily move around, also had space for clothes, travel essentials, and even a mini fridge (the water was always ice cold when taken out of the fridge and we loved it!!). Having an AC was very useful, after hot days outside, as well as laundry wires outside the window to hang our beach towels and swimsuits! The shared bathroom was very tidy and clean, and the shower was easy to use and also very spacious. If we ever ran out of anything, we could ask the lovely hostel general manager for it, and he would sort it out quickly! Also cannot thank the general manager of the hostel enough, he was so kind and talkative from the moment we arrived, gave us a map with recommendations, showed how everything works in the room and bathroom, and on our last day, allowed us to keep our bags at the reception safely, so we didn’t have to struggle through the day. Lastly, he was kind enough to tell us how to get a bus to the airport, gave us extra bags for our small things and took our 3 heavy travel bags to the bus station by his vespa so we didn’t have to carry them, and waited for us to get in to the right bus! We are so thankful for his kindness and we could tell he loved his job and interacting with people! The only small thing missing in our eyes, was there was only the main light in the room, and we thought having a small ‘book’ like lamp would have been perfect!

• Lauren (9/5): Superb - Extremely good location, handy to the bus stop, port and waterfront. Clean facilities, and we were able to store bags on the day we checked out. Very helpful host. Would stay again!
