• Manish (7/5): Gives a very comfy and cool stay, but @20% higher price - An old fashioned, cool, clean place to stay, with all the comfort, good breakfast, very courteous staff and almost everything available for a solo traveller. But for good value for money, all the furniture and provided facilities needing a VERY URGENT UPGRADE (wrt bathroom, ACs, Wardrobs). All the facilities provided are working well, but below the price level expectations. As below: 1. Bothroom seat, wash basins were too old with cracks 2. In offered room seepage (or long closed door) smell was there, with low light complaint, while the other choosen room, was not heaving shower partition curtain at all. 3. Crockery offered in the room was very low class. Tea Coffee sheshes were provided on demand 4. Sparkling lights outside the wide front window, disable you to keep the curtains open in night for outside view. 5. Sofa covers, seat covers were clean, but badly need replacement, as being over used. 6. Wardrobe lights in my room were not operational, keeping it very dark at entrance. 7. Hangers in wardrobe can be used only to hang max 5 year-kids cloths only 8. Restaurant also needs a minimum makeover wrt window doors and glasses.

• BALAKUMAR (1/5): Never Stay Never Again - Nothing Subject: Disappointing Stay at Klash Hotel, Guindy, Chennai Dear Sir/Madam, My family and I stayed at Klash Hotel, Guindy, Chennai, on July 27, 2025, after booking through Booking.com for ₹4,899 for three people. We were excited for a comfortable stay at a 3-star rated property, but our experience was far from satisfactory. Upon checking into Room 201 at 11:45 PM, we were shocked to find it infested with mosquitoes, with rusted switchboards, broken bedside tables, and a damaged washroom lock. After requesting a better room, we were moved to Room 301 after a 30-minute wait, only to discover the air conditioning was not working. When we asked for another room, we were told only these two were available and were compelled to stay despite the conditions. We requested a refund to book elsewhere, but the staff refused. Left with no choice, we spent a sleepless night battling mosquitoes. The next morning, July 28, 2025, we checked out at 10:20 AM and raised our concerns with the new receptionist. She connected us to the hotel’s general manager, who offered a suite room after we had already checked out—a pointless gesture. Despite requesting at least a partial refund for our inconvenience, our concerns were dismissed. This property does not justify its 3-star rating or price. Even a budget hotel charging ₹1,000 would have provided better service and comfort. I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel and urge management to address these serious issues. Toilet seat broken room 308. Outside toilet window is a very loud motor running sound, whole night couldn't sleep. Next day asked for another room. 303- toilet seat is almost touching the wall. So can sit only 3/4 !! Night my colleague came to visit me at 9.45 on his way to hj one from work. He was not allowed to come to my room as they have a rule - NO VISITORS AFTER 10Pm. Why is it not mentioned while checking in or while booking?

One because the toilet was broken and another because the air conditioning was not working in the sweltering chennai heat. Would recommend this only if you're up to tackling such issues during your stay. It was over priced as well

We requested for room cleaning and it wasn't done despite leaving the key at the reception. There was no locker in the room to store our valuables! And the female receptionist was rude and was asking for the key of the room before we went out saying it's their policy. If that's the policy, provide a locker in the room atleast.

Property is close to Chennai Trade Center, and thats pretty much its only redeeming value. Otherwise, it's very rundown and doesnt justify the prices being charged. Several 1Star Oyo hotels would be better. The frontdesk staff was helpful but have no control over the upkeep of the property.
