Guest Reviews
- John (1/5): No good to stay in - Lousy and not even clean and not clean bed also stink towel No good
- Denise (9/5): Good - Always clean N/a
- Christy (1/5): Was so bad had to leave property in the middle of the night and still haven’t got my refund - Nothing Bugs getting on us while asleep and when we lifted the mattress a pizza box was in between the mattress and box spring
- Dailey (3/5): We got sleep! - The fact we had a roof over our head
The workers were very nice and helpful and because we got in so early in the morning they even allowed us to stay after check out to get more sleep! The sheets and pillows were yucky and stained the walls were dirty very poor cleaning
- Jessica (10/5): -
- Angela (4/5): 0.2 - The room was ok I did not like the fact I was lied to by false advertisement the fact that the average husband showed a pool that there wasn't a poem that you could actually swim in
- Mildred (9/5): - pillows were yellow
shower curtain was dingy
- Maddox (5/5): Meh..... - Rooms were decent, had a weird smell. Beds were comfortable and A/C was cold Advertised that they had a pool and it may have had some kind of new species of algae growing. It was green as green can get. That was a selling point for me and other places. I wouldn't have booked had I known the pool was out of commission.
- Darrell (4/5): - The pool was green the rooms smelled like cigarettes the first room we had the sheets were stained and the fridge was leaking allbover the floor
- Jeanna (4/5): Like stay for good reason and location close by - Property is good Trashy peeps and drugs !!!
- Omayra (1/5): Bad -
- Dodge (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tonya (2/5): - The room was very dirty and smelled like sewer. The toilet was broken, sewer flooded the bathroom and carpeted area after using it, just #1. We were in the room about 10 minutes total. The manager did not have another room available and refunded half the reservation cost.
- MegaDancer (2/5): You get what you pay for - We were looking for an inexpensive but decent hotel room. This was one of the worst rooms we have stayed in. On first sight it wasn’t too bad - until you looked closer. There were only 2 electric sockets to be found in inconvenient places. The pool was not in use. There were flies and other insects, other than the flies, the insects were visible until after dark. The pillow cases were stained. I slept in my clothes on top of the bed. I would not take a shower (my husband had to go ask for soap) because the bathroom floor was dirty and the shower/bath had hairs in it. We should have left as soon as we opened the door but it was storming and decided 1 night would be ok. I barely slept and certainly would never stay there again.
- Jovani (4/5): - Wouldnt book here again, was given the wrong room and it was very dirty, sheets, shower and pillows. The fire alarm also randomly went off while I was sleeping 👎👎
- Jimmy (10/5): Wonderful - Staff helpful and kind Nothing at all
- Julie (4/5): - Nothing
- Randy (3/5): DO NOT STAY HERE!! - The location was the only thing that I liked It was supposed to be a nonsmoking room. The smoke detector was covered up by a plastic Walmart bag and it smelled very bad in the room. The furniture had stains on them. The staff walked in on me as I was getting ready after taking a shower.
- Jimmy (10/5): Exceptional -

- Justin (10/5): Not ur average 2 star - Very nice motel. Not ur average 2 star hotel. It's extremely nice and clean
- Michael (2/5): - My stay at the Rodeway Inn South in Calhoun, Georgia, was extremely disappointing. The motel was in poor condition, with multiple cleanliness issues. The linens had cigarette burns, and the sheets and pillowcases were visibly stained. The pool was green and contained an unidentified floating object, making it completely unusable.
Additionally, the provided amenities were inadequate—a single dirty towel was stuffed into a cubby, and I was given only half a roll of toilet paper, one bar of soap, and an empty shampoo bottle. The overall condition of the motel was unsanitary, and I would not recommend it to anyone. In its current state, this establishment does not meet even the most basic standards of cleanliness and hospitality.
- Michael (3/5): Poor -
- Amanda (4/5): Probably wouldnt stay again. - This was just a pass through stop for sleep on our way home. I booked based off of pictures and should have used a little more discretion. The service from the couple at the front desk was phenominal. Lighting for the entry ways at night was terrible and i had to circle a few times to find them to get in. Im not confident our room was completely turned over from the last guests... the floors were in deperate need of a vacuum, there was no bar soap for the sink and there were empty shampoo bottles in the bathroom - we did find a mostly full one near the ice bucket. The door handle to the bathroom was broken off, the sheets were all mismatched with misc. Stains, there was only one pillow per person and only two towels, a floor towel and two wash cloths for four people (no hand towels), the fridge didnt seem to be working (we had medication to store and it didnt keep cold). The room is visually appealing and does look to be recently remodeled. Im sure the towels and soap issues would have easily been resolved if we had asked. Had it of been earlier in the night and we had realized how it was before hand, we probably wouldn't have stayed here. Definitely a lot of potential, im thinking maybe someone started to turn the room over and left midway.
- Robert (2/5): - This had to be one of the most DISGUSING place if stayed in over 50 years of traveling, THEY SHOLD'VE PAID ME TO STAY THERE. NEVER THERE AGAIN.
- michelewK9207QP (2/5): DEPLORABLE - RUN!! Don't stay here. My husband and I stayed at this property January 24 2025. Deplorable conditions. No one cleans the rooms. Please see the pictures provided. I contacted Choice Hotels and got 8000 points haha a joke. So anyway the sheets are stained. The towels ripped to tattered rags. There's absolutely NO HOT water at this hotel. The remote wasn't programmed to the television. The shower is full of mold. The toilet isn't seated and or bolted to the floor. Mold all over the shower walls and im not exactly sure what's behind that bathroom door. I worked at hotels for the better part of 20 year's. That's y i expected more and found everything about this stay just wrong. I won't even give Choice Brands a 2nd try after this. Back to Hilton where no one this would of been accepted. The slap in the face 8000 points haha.
- Rojo67 (8/5): Very good -
- Marc (4/5): - Dirty Towels left for us to use. Dirty carpet that was very worn. I never complain, but this place was about non stayable.
- DANIEL (4/5): - No hot water in the sinks, barely warm in the tub. Pillows in linen are extremely dirty. No lamps in room. TV remote did not work. Most of all The shower and hot water did not work. The first room the sewage flooded up into the tub. They moved me into a different room. The plumbing in this hotel is a joke.
- David (1/5): Do not stay! - Nothing at all. 1st room very dirty-beds dirty, stains, hair, looked slept in. Dirty towels on floor, unclean bathroom, floors dirty. 2nd room- office worker gave us key to an occupied room that we walked in on (scared us and them!). 3rd room- beds still dirty and unkempt, floors dirty, tables sticky, grandchild found a tray with drugs under seat cushion of chair....extremely discusted of dirty and unsafe environment. Awaiting cancelation refund request.
- Eddie (4/5): Did not get the room we reserved, room dirty, old - Rodeway Inn- Calhoun. I reserved a 2 double bed room, arrived late in the night due to waiting hours for an accident to clear. Upon arrival, I went into the office to check in and the man told us after several minutes he was having trouble checking us in. He was very friendly and assured us he would get us into a room quickly. After 15 minutes he finally tells us that he doesn't have a 2 bed room available as we reserved and only had 1 room which had a single bed which was tight for us because there were three adults traveling with us. It was going on 1:00 a.m. and we just wanted to go to sleep so we told him whatever he had would have to do because it was too late to get a room anywhere else and I had already paid for the room and didn't have the funds to stay somewhere else. He then told us the heat did not work in the room (in fact, there was no power supply to the heater at all) Once we got into the room we saw that it was in very bad disrepair. Immediately upon entering the room we saw there was a huge hole in the ceiling, there was glitter all over the floor, stains on the sheets, mattress had debris all over it, there was one disheveled towel, dirt and marks all over the walls, mildewed shower, dirty toilet. We were very unhappy with the room. We checked for bed bugs and found none so decided to just sleep a few hours, get up and leave early. We will never return or recommend this place. The man did not offer any type of compensation for the error. I expected better.
- Timothy (7/5): Good -
- Young (8/5): Very good - Room was clean and staff was friendly Only 2 towel and 2 wash clothes for a room key didn't work the 2nd day the trash and clean towels was not replaced.
- Michael (4/5): - The room was nice but the TV was smashed and didn't work. I went to tell them at the front desk and they said they would get us a different room but that never happened.
- Freeman-williams (9/5): Superb - The beds were very comfortable just needs newer pillows. I absolutely loved the blind!!! I only had time to stay 1 night
- Caleb (2/5): - Disgusting
- Stacy (2/5): - Room requested wasn’t available and wasn’t explained but gave what was open. Key card given but fob didn’t work because they wont change the door battery. Had to walk to the front desk to get someone to let you in each time. Room carpeting and walls are stained with residue. Dirty pillows and mattress infested with bed bugs. Did not make it staying there due to being bitten and had to leave in the middle of the night.
- Sean (2/5): - We arrived to a dirty room. The sheets were crumbled all over the bed like someone had been sleeping in them, the towels were dirty and used, there was trash all over the room. We went to the front desk to let them know and the property manager said there were no other available rooms. We said we understood, he said housekeeping could come clean it tomorrow. We asked for clean sheets to sleep on until they could clean the rest of the room, he gave us 1 flat sheet, we had 2 beds. We asked for more sheets and he said they had no others. We asked for a refund so that we could leave and find another room elsewhere since he would not give us clean sheets to sleep on, he continues to say they had no more rooms, but we hadn’t asked for another room, only for sheets to make the beds ourselves. He was very unapologetic and did not care that we left. I would not recommend you waste your money here. Luckily Expedia worked with us to refund the money and we were able to stay somewhere else for around the same price.
- William (7/5): Good -
- Letisha (10/5): - Great location, friendly staff, and cheap rates
- Lorraine (1/5): Bad - Bad Don't go
- Sheila (3/5): Poor -
- MakikiB19 (10/5): First time in Calhoun - Met some very kind people that work here. Front desk have wonderful customer service. Beautiful family! My kids had a good time in the pool that is provided and my one month baby boy was treated like little king everytime housekeeping came around. They were all very pleasant
- Magdalane (10/5): - The place was clean and the bathroom was very nove and the attendent was very friendly and welcoming
- ashtyn (4/5): Double queen bed - The hotel itself wasn't absolutely terrible however, the owners. There were only 2 people working there the entire time. Neither spoke english good at all, you could barley understand them. No breakfest, the pool was dark green. There was an odd smell in the lobby (I do believe they were living in there as well). Photos matched the description of the rooms.
It could have been a lot worse but it got the job done. We were there for a music festival and stayed 3 nights and we survived.
- Simpson (9/5): Dog Trialing in Calhoun Ga - Mgr was very helpful and available when I needed help. Housekeeping was also helpful All was good
- Tom (8/5): owner/manager was very friendly and helpful - no breakfast! no breakfast or ice machine
- Farrell (8/5): Very good - Front desk was great Mirrors were dirty and garbage behind nightstand
- Brian (2/5): - The bed sheets was disgusting have been changed in no telling how long
- Hammon (1/5): Bad - Convenient Illegals and charging my card after paying cash.
- Cox (5/5): Passable -
- Little (7/5): Good - Everything it was clean and very comfy Breakfast
- Barbara (5/5): Clean, safe, basic accommodation - Ease of getting to it. I liked that I was able to park in front of my room because I had a pet with me. Very basic accommodation. They had the worst pillows I have ever seen, I had mine with me so no problem for me but big problem if you tried to sleep on them.
- Sandra (6/5): Pleasant -
- Laura (7/5): Will stay again at this location. - Location and price. This is the half way point between us and my daughters. This was our second stay. There was a mix up with the registration and we needed to switch rooms on the second visit. The situation was taken care of quickly.
- Cristin (6/5): - Carpet and towels were stained as well as the bed skirts. The mirrors hadn’t been wiped down either. It wasn’t terribly dirty or anything but enough to make me use my own Lysol wipes and get blankets from the car.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (4/5): - Nice place, recently remodeled with convenient parking right outside the rooms. A decent Mexican restaurant and bar right across the parking lot. The only thing wrong is that there was NO HOT WATER whatsoever.
- Edward (7/5): Good -
- Lisa (2/5): Nasty place to stay. Go somewhere else. - Close to interstate. The bedding was dirty and stained. Smell like body odor. Floor was not vacuumed.
- M Kate (2/5): Dirty and loud - The office was nice but when we got in our room . It was dirty , towels and bed sheets n comforter were Discusting and Stained all over. The Floor was gross, n hadn't been vacuumed in a long time..the shower had roaches n curtain was gross. Our room had flys, . You could here people going in and out all night n u could hear the people in the other rooms had to sleep with TV on to drownd out some of the late night noise...it was Probly one of the worst motels I've ever stayed in.. and there's no refunds so we had to stay ...
- Matt (2/5): - The best part of staying here was leaving.
I would strongly advise against staying at this motel. The property is poorly maintained and the rooms are filthy. When I arrived, there were people walking around outside peering into my vehicle and my room. They hung around for a long time, making me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe.
The room itself was in a terrible state. There were dead bugs and dirty towels hanging on the door. The sheets were stained and the ceiling had several water stains. The room smelled like a mixture of mold and pot. At $90/night, I expected more.
I would not recommend this motel to anyone, especially if you are traveling alone or with children.
- Robert (4/5): - The staff was friendly.
The room was not clean: coffee spills on furniture, bathroom not cleaned, floors not clean or vacuumed.
- Candi (1/5): Bad - close to stores for what we paid we had no towels no tissue paper
- Kathleen (6/5): Pleasant -
- Abigail (6/5): - I thought the hotel was in a great spot. Right off the interstate with a gas station right next door and dining options very close. I also really liked the price of the hotel and thought the room had a modern, updated feel. My only complaint was that my room was not cleaned very well. The bed comforters were stained, black hairs on the bedding, soap left in the shower, and there was a stain in the shower that washed away with water. Staff was very nice, and it was a quiet night at the Inn.
- Brittany (8/5): Nice stay for quick trip - We had a great 1 night stay. The lady who checked us in was so very nice, i didnt get her name. I doubt the pool was open as it was very green. But we had no issues.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Curcio (1/5): Bad -
- Borchardt (7/5): it was cozy for what I needed - location
- David (1/5): Bad -
- Bridgette (10/5): Exceptional - Cute room, clean, clean sheets, loved the t.v Towels weren't bad but didn't smell totally fresh
- Jenene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jackie (8/5): Very good - There was no breakfast but they did have coffee. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of restaurants nearby. The Nopal Mexican restaurant was awesome. Cleanliness and facilities. No breakfast or snack machine or drink machine. But there is a store right across the street.
- Beth (10/5): - The staff went out of their way to help get us in a room when we showed up early. Very kind and accommodating
- Robert (2/5): - We rented two rooms, one of the rooms looked like someone had been sleeping in it and the door was not closed all the way when we arrived. The room was musty/moldy/smelly, with stains all over the ceiling. The second room was so moldy smelling that you could almost not breath when we walked in. We left and went elsewhere. All around the property was a mess.
- pamelasS1400DK (2/5): Stay somewhere else - If I could give this hotel no stars I would . I use to be a regular at this hotel. When it was first remodeled, it was beautiful . Over the years it's really gone down. The sweet married couple they have cleaning , need to retire. They need to hire people who care about cleaning. There is no reason that blood stains linens should be used. The blanket, the towels were filthy. The carpet is disgusting. They arent even wiping down regular surfaces ! Definitely my last go round!!
- Larry (3/5): Poor -
- Tammi (4/5): Could use major cleaning - The staff was very friendly and courteous The rooms were pretty nasty! Covers, sheets and even pillows were stained ( not just a little bit) ironing board was so ripped that the coushon was coming out. There was something spilt down the wall behind the phone table that was just left there. Dead flies on the bathroom floor.
- Jean (10/5): Exceptional - New and clean!
- Oscar (9/5): Great price , updated - Great and affordable Sheets looks like not so clean,
But everything else clean
- Tiffany (4/5): Disappointing - it was decent not very clean others really loud at night
- Teresa (4/5): Not good. Affordable but not worth it. - Price was good. Room was ok. It was clean. People were standing outside the rooms having a party at midnight. Couldn't sleep. Had to call the manager. Still took a while for them to go away. Had planned to stay two nights. Went to a different motel for the 2nd night.
- Donna (8/5): - The pool was great.
- Susan (7/5): very nice room but lacking expected amenities - it was great. good location nice size, clean pool no coffee pot, cups or hygiene products.
- Joseph (2/5): - Above comments says it all. And besides that, which is incidental, I was given two queens instead of a King size bed.
- Valisha (8/5): - Clean quiet room. Beds were nice comfortable and clean- covers were slightly stained. Bathroom shower worked well, but was outdated.
- Manuel O (4/5): - This property have to be inspected is unhealthy
- Kyle (4/5): Stay away! - The wife and I stay here every year. This year was the worst. To the point where we will not come back. We pull in and look at the pool. It looks like a swamp. Green water with trash floating. We check in and ask about breakfast. They said they do not do any type of breakfast. They turned the breakfast area into storage. We get to the room. The room was muggy and smelled like smoke. The bathroom had trash in the trash can. The duel shower head didn’t work. The toilet paper holder was broken. We then opened the refrigerator. There was food left in there. The bed was lumpy. 3 pillows that were all extremely soft and small. The pillows were the size of a throw pillow for a couch. I tired calling the front desk with no answer. So we just went to sleep since we had an early morning. At 6:30 lam I went to check out and the lobby was shut with no one on site. There was a hand written sign that said press the doorbell. So I did. After waiting a couple minutes out comes the front desk person in PJs hair a mess rubbing her eyes. I told her I was checking out and handed her the keys. Not once did she ask how was our stay. Overall we will not be staying here because the quality has gone from a great place to a place that seems you can rent rooms by the hour.
- Judy (6/5): - Great bed but leaky bathtub faucet and broken toilet paper holder. No coffee in the room.
- Chicagonative_7 (4/5): Stay elsewhere if possible - Driving through the south we found nearly every motel sold out except this one. Budget hotel with a recent cosmetic update but towels with holes, lousy pillows, moist carpet near the ac and a strong smell of room deodorizer and mustiness.
Checked in and slept 6 hours and then out!
Despite some ok reviews this is a tough sell.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great overnight - Clean, comfortable bed, large tv. Good stay for a quick overnight. No amenities but plenty close by.
- Annie (10/5): - Everything was great
- winger999 (6/5): Clean, comfy overnight. - Fine for a quick overnight. Very friendly and helpful at desk. Clean, nice looking rooms. Really needs to offer breakfast. Coffee supposed to be available at 6am, Lobby not open by 6:15, so we took off. Was only there for about 10 hours, couldn't say what exterior looked like since it was dark our entire stay. Worked great for us
- Verified traveler (10/5): Loved it here - Quite and clean
- Verified traveler (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE!! doesn’t change sheets! - This place was awful and disgusting! I walked into our room that I got to stay the night driving home and was hit by a strong odor. And the bed sheets had very obvious Sex stains.
My wife and I decided to just drive through the night because we didn’t want to catch whatever was on those dirty sheets.
When I went to return my key I let the owner know and they didn’t even apologize, they just said we can move you to the other side of the building, the other side is nicer. WHY IS THERE A NICE SIDE?!?! Is dirty sec-ridden sheets a regular thing there, why are rooms not cleaned/sanitized after every guest?!
- Barbara (6/5): - Room was very clean but bedding and shower curtains really need to be replaced
- dougtS1872ZT (10/5): Family reunion - First off I'd like to say thank you to the wonderful staff and owners of rodeway inn it was very comfortable ,nice beds ,clean and great service! We will definitely be coming back every chance I get thanks so much
- Adrienne (10/5): THANK YOU!!! - Thank you!! We were here in an emergency and were comfortable and safe quickly. Beds were comfortable, water was hot and the tv was huge. The owners clearly have pride in their property and were LOVELY to us, helping however they could!! We can’t say enough that we appreciate it and having to stay an extra night until we could get arrangements made to get home. It’s not brand new or fancy - it’s well maintained, clean, tidy and comfortable. Stop here if you need a soft bed and warm shower and a happy face checking you in.
