- Susan (6/5): Check and double check - There are 2 hotels of this name run by same family. Reviews for both are mixed up as no one seems to know which is which. Check the address. One is city centre chic the other backpacker backstreet. We got the wrong one and altho the family are lovely, we were glad it was for one night only.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owners were very nice and really made me feel at home. I asked if they had suggestions on what to see while in Hue and they gave me great advice on what to see. Overall, this was a great stay!
- Wing Cheung (10/5): Excellent experience in accident - The host missed my booking so that no room was reserved for me. When I arrived, I saw the beautiful and clean house with the surprised host. Fortunately, he had another property on the other side of the river and took me there immediately. The house was pretty, clean, and comfortable, in both bedroom and kitchen; wifi was stable; the location was even closer to the the royal palace for sightseeing, with some nice local restaurants nearby. The host and his wife were very friendly and helpful to get me a bus ticket for Laos. Everything was excellent, just the host has to check email carefully to make sure all bookings are given rooms :p
- Alan (10/5): - This is a bit complicated because, the day before we were to arrive, we got a message telling us there was a plumbing problem at the property we had booked and offering us a room in another property. We went on faith -- a good bet in Vietnam -- and were rewarded with a great stay in the lovely new home of the owner. He and his wife have great design sense and their new house, located five minutes from the Hue Citadel, is really quite beautiful. More importantly, Tinh & Binh were wonderful hosts who provided us with great advice and assistance and made us feel at home. And the breakfasts gave us three days of traditional Vietnamese cooking lessons. Very good! So, regardless of the specific property, I feel very confident in recommending Purple Hue BnB.
