Guest Reviews
- Kathy (4/5): Never again!! - Good location No coffee in the room nor the lobby. No nose tissues. Floor felt sticky. Walls paper thin. A male staff member was very rude regarding parking.
- Dmytro (10/5): -
- Patricia (10/5): -
- Jake (2/5): Alright and not good quality - The room was a decent size, came with what’s promised in the description Gave me a keycard to a random persons room, did not bother to check if someone was living there before I entered the room. The keycards that were initially assigned did not work. The rooms did not have a lot of comfort and did not know the hotel was a hospitality home also. Did not know the hotel was 21+ there needs to be a thing on booking.com to specify that it is 21+.
- Michael (7/5): Comfrontable -
- Kenneth (8/5): -
- Antonia (7/5): -
- Ky (9/5): I stayed 2 nights and it was pleasant with no big issues complaints. Well done staff! - My hotel was comfortable. I like the kitchen. Wish the elevator was also at the ends of the wings but the stares are good exercise. Too bad people don't pick up after their dogs but that's not the hotel's fault.
- Seth (2/5): - Our room was still very dusty, and the floor was also dirty with dog hair as well as there being a dog toy under our couch, it appeared that out room wasn't cleaned. Although it is out of the hotels control, our room was very loud with people slamming doors etc. I would not stay here again.
- Dmytro (10/5): -
- Charlotte (5/5): Budget friendly - The location was great. Near my destination, fuel station, interstate and fast food options Front desk gal was professional, but less than friendly. The hotel in general was not clean interior or exterior. Hall had a very bad food odor. Cigarettes littered the parking lot, stairway floor covered in muddy footprints during my entire stay. I did not get the requested 1st floor, but a 2nd floor room with a door that didn't lock. After being told they didn't have any other rooms I waited for a supervisor and or maintenance member to address the issue. I was then given a front facing room that was not as clean as the 1st room. Room 229 seemed lived in, hole in bathroom door, cuts in chair, food or ??? dried on walls, spills dried on floor. Terribly hard and warn mattress atop of a platform metal frame bed. As a back sleeper, this made sleeping very uncomfortable. By night three my lower back and tailbone hurt do bad I woke at 3:30 and got ready to check out. Shower head barely allowed decent water flow for washing/rinsing my long hair. Overall I will rethink staying here a 3rd time.
- Allen (3/5): Not pleasant. Creepy room - Nothing Ridiculous check-in process. Like signing a lease. We were there for one night...thank goodness. Room was sparse. Burn marks on the counter where a cook top was. Not very clean. Creepy!
- Dave (10/5): -
- Minter (9/5): -
- Owen (10/5): Comfortable - Clean, quiet, comfortable and easy to access
- Richard (10/5): - It works for people needed basic accommodations without a lot of frills.
- RALPH (8/5): - Not bad for the money
- Les (10/5): - Excellent staff, nice room. Had a coffeemaker in room. Free breakfast.
- Christina (8/5): - Very minimalistic with no amenities, but wall cared for and attentive staff. I will stay again!
- Joann (9/5): -
- Jan (7/5): - Gute Ausstattung und sauber
- Samantha (4/5): - I really want to give this property one star as the rooms are so chemically cleaned that I ended up having to put my own sheets on the bed in order to sleep at all and I still got chemical redness on my skin from chemical exposure. I am certain that they spray the rooms, everything in the rooms with a heavy cleaning chemical. It's way too much. I won't stay here again.
- Evelyn (6/5): - No coffee, no ice, no breakfast included. Property is meant for workers extended stay, not necessarily for travelers.
Only one chair for a room that would accommodate 4 people. Limited towels
- Sarah (5/5): - It was nice having the kitchen to keep our cold items in the fridge and for breakfast in the morning. The floor was very dirty in our room, and the beds were uncomfortable.
- MARY (6/5): Cheap But Good - Simple room but clean and well maintained. It was noisy but I was near an exit door that slammed all night.
- Warren (7/5): -
- Ben (10/5): - This is an extended stay property so remember to bring soap ,shampoo and anything else you might need.If you need a Hair dryer or ironing board,or coffee Maker for you'll need to bring it
- Carlos (10/5): - Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Property is clean and has all you need laundry facility, gym, fast food with in walking distance, gas station next door. Really nice place will be staying here again.
- Darryl (8/5): - Must have been using some air freshner or cleaner in the AC unit because the strong smell dissipated when I turned it off for the night and resumed when I turned it back on in the morning. Too strong a scent to leave running through the night almost giving me a headache.
- Amanda (10/5): - Everything was fine.
- Ed (7/5): Ok place, but cost for pet was too high. - Newer facilities and great staff The cleaning products left a strong, offensive odor. These units are set up for longer stays, so they didn’t provide some of the things you would expect to find for a one night stay. Also, be aware that they charge a $50 non-refundable fee of $50 per stay to have a pet, and then a $10/night fee for the dog. Again this fee was very high for a single night stay. We had rearranged our schedule on the fly, so we just grabbed the first place we saw, so no time to do the research.
- Roman (1/5): - Hotel told us they were full when we arrived late during the night, despite having a reservation, and blamed some computer glitch (night front desk person said the glitch has been there for a while and management haven't fixed it). She was not very apologetic. Terrible service and forced us to sleep in our car since it was too late to be able to find another hotel.
- Denise (2/5): - Never stay there
- Dustin (10/5): - Clean and friendly
- Christopher (2/5): - Manager is slimy. They will keep your pet deposit no matter what. That’s a fee, not a deposit, and it is in addition to the per night pet fee. Carpet looks like it was used in a horror movie. Overheard discussion about putting a dog down because it barked. Avoid this place!
- Paul (2/5): - Advertised as pet friendly, rejected when I showed up. No refund
- Brian (10/5): - A great property with a convenient location to Interstate 80 and local services.
- jeffbueno (2/5): I would not stay here again if they, paid, me. - Worst experience with their policies and lack of helpfulness. The room was cheap enough that it's not a huge financial drain, but feel as if I really overpaid. I would not stay here if they paid me to do it.
- Cory (8/5): - Place suited us well, We were in town for hot august night, Called a couple of months ahead of time and was told there would be parking for our trailer, Turns out most people staying at the hotel are still figuring out how to park, Not to mention the multiple motorcycles taking up spots that are car could of used, I ended up taking my trailer to a lot that costs me $405 dollars and had to park my truck out on the road heading in, But all in all, it was a good place
- Chris (4/5): - Extended stay hotel with NO coffee maker, dishes, pots or pans. No cups. Spring mattress was terrible
- Ana Laura (8/5): - I liked that it had a full refrigerator. Parking was difficult to find.
- Shearl (8/5): - Overall I enjoy the stay there..affordable, easy access to freeway, places to eat at nearby, and pleasant view. Only discomfort toilet to low, trash can in kitchen was stink, would have been nice to get nice greeting at front desk.
- Lee (9/5): Great value, GREAT staff. Bare bones, so know what you're getting into and plan accordingly. - I loved the full-size refrigerator and two-burner stove in our kitchen. Two things could be improved on: No smoking, understandable, but please provide a safe location for smokers to go. Also, pets are allowed but nowhere for pets to relieve themselves. There is a trash can with waste bags, though.
- Rick (4/5): - No morning coffee or breakfast for what i paid
- Harry (7/5): - Customer service was friendly and professional at check in. There was no breakfast. Although, it is an extended stay with a kitchenette; there are no cookware or dishes. There should be at lest some cooking sets that one could check out or even rent from the front desk.
- Ralph Conrad (8/5): - Great place to stay if ur just in for staying its close to everything and you dont have to worry about hidden resort fees i will definitely stay here from now on.
- Duffy (2/5): - So expensive for a cheap bed, threadbare sheets and comforter, rock hard pillows at the end of their use, no curtains and bright lights outside all night. Loud slamming doors and no coffee or breakfast service. $260 for the night. I’ll stay somewhere nicer next time
- Arnie (2/5): - There was nothing to like this place is dirty and would not recommend staying there
- Jared (8/5): - Thanks
- Martin (8/5): Adequate - Very spacious room, appreciate they're pet friendly. Staff is wonderful and very kind, helpful. There needs to be a better solution to the water spillage when showering in a room for the disabled. The shower curtain isn't long enough so water splashes all over the faux wood flooring. There's only one small floor pad intended for a regular shower with tub when there should be one that is the length of the entire shower. If those two things were switched up, there'd be less of a mess. I'm not a disabled person in a wheelchair but if I was, or had a cane, it would be difficult to bend over to wipe the wet floor.
- william (6/5): - This is a good example of you get what you pay for. This is a low budget property. The room seemed clean, which is expected. The registration process was odd as you had to sign, in 5 to 7 places, a document that outlined all the expectations of the property (which included things like taking out your own trash if you had what they considered to be excessive amounts of trash). My room was probably the worst room they have in that it was located on the ground floor & near to the exit/entrance from the parking lot, which means that it was getting opened & slammed shut all the time & at all hours. Additionally the blinds in my room were broken & could not be lowered all the way to the sill (so you could see into the room from outside). The front desk is only open between 3 pm and 11 pm, which is when people can check in - I suspect this is a cost cutting/savings strategy. Totally a budget property and okay if you need a place to just crash for a night.
- Cherice (10/5): - Clean and safe was very pleasant, easy check in and out.
- Francis (4/5): Will try not to stay there again - Location Felt like they did the BARE Minimum to accommodate. Did not get the feeling of care, except when I checked in
- Timothy (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jeanie (6/5): - Hostess was not friendly. No amenities. No coffee or breakfast. No extra linen. No night service. Noisy.
- Donna (6/5): - Didn’t have everything that I was told it would
- Cuauhtemoc Or Dalila (2/5): Very dirty - The bedroom and bathroom floors were very dirty. Dog food was under the bed and next to the refrigerator. Dog hair was everywhere. It smelled bad. It was generally very dirty.
The hallway carpet was very dirty, and the dog smell was everywhere. We were here a week ago, and the previous stay was a little dirty, but not like the one I had this time.
- Julianne (8/5): Very good -
- Vinod K (4/5): - overall bad experience
- Wira (7/5): Good -
- connie (2/5): - The rooms was unclean as it had cat hair all over the room. As I am allergic to acts. I slept terrible nose running sounding like I had a cold. Then the bed had a long black hair in it. The bed was as hard as a rock. Hard to sleep on a rock and nose running and coughing all night. It seemed to be kept up as everything was working. I don’t think I will ever stay there again.
- Lewis (10/5): - Great overall experience.
- Michelle (10/5): - NA
- Roving65334719268 (10/5): AWESOME - Myself & my girlfriend travel a lot due to my work. I have stayed at WoodSprings before In Joliet IL. It was horrible!!! nothing was fixed, the staff were not amenable & the whole place smelled of animal feces & cigarette smoke. NOT THE CASE AT THE SPARKS NV LOCATION!!!!! We were expecting the WORST but got absolute great service! Everything is clean & quiet, the staff is friendly & Jannette is THE BEST!!!! We are on our second day here & it feels like home! this place should be a 3 star! It says something if im writing a review & we just got here. Thank you Jannette!
- Sheila (10/5): - Clean. Easy access to freeway.
- Robert (10/5): - No towels available until after 4pm (until 8pm) Strange. Made it difficult for us since we were out playing a baseball tournament all afternoon/evening.
- Sandra (6/5): - Mattress pad was dirty, the cleaning staff put so much floor cleaner. The floor was sticky, and the smell was so overwhelming that it was hard to sleep or comfortably in the room.
- Lisa (10/5): - Easy, clean, affordable and friendly staff
- bendZ4812VZ (4/5): Disappointing - We have been here before and have stayed for occasional nights and for extended periods to when working.
The PROS : there are two girls on reception that are always pleasant and professional. they are attentive to guests. Thankyou Dizie and Ginette. They are the ONLY reason for the 2-star rating.
Very handy location right off I80 with easy access to Reno and the surrounding areas
CONS : Upon arrival you are told "no smoking, weed or vaping in the rooms". The constant pot smell is horrendous. It is a constant. No enforcement on something which is dictated to you at checkin.
Noise. The door slamming is ridiculous. Even during the middle of the night. You would assume that the door closers would have some form of adjustment to allow the door to close properly without the jarring crash that shudders the entire floor.
Parking. lines are not clear and nobody cares. People just park how they want with no repercussions and if the hotel is fully booked you cannot reasonably expect to find a space after 9pm. No vehicle monitoring not even for safety purposes, like license plate, make, model or anything. with no patrols and the homeless camp literally just up the hill by the hotel you just dont feel your car is safe.
Rooms. Nothing is really maintained to any standard. Yes they are cleaned but it seems that they either dont have enough cleaners or cleaners that are very thorough. One in particular is brash and seems to be constantly on her phone arguing with her , I assume, boyfriend, rather than cleaning. Another is sullen and moody and will just plain ignore you.
Our last, and final, stay there was no hot water it was lukewarm at best. We were told it was being fixed but in the weeks we stayed it never improved.
Management. The shutter at reception is always closed when he is there. If you have any needs you have to dial from the phone in the lobby and then youre treated like youve interupted him from saving the world. Rude. Does not treat the staff with much respect either.
We cant see returning here again without changes to in-house protocols and managment which is a shame because it was such a great place a few years ago.
- Warren (7/5): Good -
- Dan (10/5): - Great check in and speedy service. FYI this is an Extended Stay Facility no amenities.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Beware! Don't stay It won't let me upload pictures - I arrived with my senior dog and expected to pay the $10 fee. Then they said there was also a $50 nonrefundable fee. I had searched specific hotels for fees and said so. They ended up waiving it for the night. This place is more of a long term hotel. Take your own trash out. Dog poop is everywhere on the grounds. Parties kept other guests up. I had a slamming exit door that they said they could do nothing about. Want sleep? Don't stay here. I parked carefully and someone came in overnight and parked crooked. I had to crawl through my passenger side to leave in the morning. See the pictures. Front desk says this happens often. I highly do not recommend this place. I took pics of any previous damage so I don't get blamed. The owner needs to take responsibility and clean this place up. As I was leaving, an older gentleman came up to me to ask me what I thought. He was very disappointed and plans on moving. Pretty sad. I would not even advertise this place.
- Amina (6/5): Mid level, not bad, not great - The room itself was nice looking and the AC worked. It was close to the freeway and a gas station and fast food locations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was hard as a rock! It was miserable. Not much sleep was had here. ☹️ There is no fan in the bathroom so it was very very humid after a shower and difficult to dry off. The hallway was disgusting. It reeked of food smells... Too many different things mixed together. And the carpet was filthy. Shockingly so. Stains everywhere. It was really gross. And the other thing that was weird And kind of sucked was no pool. That would have made a lot of things better if we could have gone for a swim. Also ice machines. At least one on the bottom floor is better than none.
- Tara Sesepasara (8/5): - Hotel was clean, room had full refrigerater, top range and microwave.
- Sandra (6/5): - The property doesn’t have an ice machine or coffee makers and no Kleenex in the rooms! Very basic rooms
- Brooks (10/5): - Was perfect for what we needed (a quick place to stop overnight). Staff was very friendly, hotel was clean and nice!
- José (10/5): - Clean and quiet
- Melinda (6/5): - This is a bare bones hotel property, not even set up for extended stay, unless you bring everything you need with you.
PROS for this hotel:
- reasonable price
- right off the highway
- AC worked well
- hotel is clean
- laundry room if needed
- friendly front desk staff
CONS for this hotel:
- no pool or hottub
- no full length mirror
- no dishware for use in the kitchen
- no hand towels (only bath sheets and washcloths)
- no hair dryer
- no iron/ironing board
- no conditioner
- no ice maker on the property
- no ice maker in the freezer and no ice cube trays in freezer
- no early check-in (literally the property will allow check-ins between 3-11 PM)
- USB charger for devices on lamp was broken
- weird and loud alarm went off at 2:10 AM in our room and scared the crap out of us
- bed not comfortable
- no blackout drapes to keep light out of the room
- Julie (10/5): - Very nice and roomy. Big bathroom! Lots of storage shelves.
- Roman (9/5): Superb - Friendly staff clean rooms full size fridge nice modern stove tops. Comfy beds Depending on what room you stay in. If your near housekeeping then you'll hear doors slam during the day but it's quite at night.
- Faith (10/5): - Friendly staff, clean hotel, my only complaint is who ever is in the room above us has loud people stomping, running etc since we got in our room which was about 4 hours ago. We have to up at 5am. I really wish they would be more considerate of people below them. Plus they are keeping my service dog on edge.
- Yu (7/5): Good -
- Craig (8/5): - Close to a lot but not too expensive
- William (8/5): - Just needed a place to sleep
- Chris (4/5): - Tried to check in 35 min early. Very rude front desk. Came back after dinner and got into the room. Very dirty. Walls are filthy. Huge booger on the roof above the bed. Floors are dirty. Stains on the bedding. Will never stay here again.
Positive note. Very quiet in regards to traffic noise.
- Bobby (6/5): - The staff is incredibly friendly. Being dog friendly was great until it wasn't. Owners of very aggressive dogs not being able to control them and almost broke free to bite my dogs.
Walls are incredibly thin, so you can hear everything outside and in the rooms beside yours. and no blackout shades on windows.
Overall was okay. Probably wouldn't come back because of price and issues listed above
- Mary (4/5): Disappointing -
- Luis (10/5): - The property was clean & quite
- Naomi (1/5): Bad -
- Paul (10/5): - Nice quiet place to rest and a little kitchen
- Kathy (6/5): Missing items - No blow dryer or iron in the room.
- Cody (2/5): - To manny barking dogs allowed on property
- Janena (7/5): A decent stay - Close to shopping The beds were uncomfortable. Blankets were very thin. No hair dryer or iron in room, you could go down to front desk to request one if needed.
- Nathaniel (2/5): Do not stay here. - This property was unsafe and unclean. After getting into my room and finding it filthy, with snot on the walls, I checked out and got my money back. People were slamming doors and the vibe was very ghetto. I would suggest to stay somewherre else.
- jana (8/5): - Convenient location. Close to I80 and dining. Friendly staff. However, no ice machine, coffee or water.
- Asipeli (1/5): Bad -
- Shin (8/5): - Clean and simple. Quiet location.
A coffee maker and some paper cups would not have required us to step outside after dark.
- William (8/5): - Lean and friendly front desk lady
- Dave (4/5): - Liked the room itself. Stayed there 8 nights and the desk said I could not get service for my room. When checking out around 9 am the red hair (dyed) kept keeping the elevator door causing it to be slow. She also rushed into the elevator when I was going out. Doesn't she know proper elevator etiquette and let the others out first. RUDE!!!! The front desk wasn't very friendly either.
- Gary (10/5): - Had a kitchen- refrig, stove, micro, roomy. Soft mattress, very pleased.
