- Tracy (10/5): Perfect! - Beautiful hotel! Cookies at check in!
- Y9525BHjamesp (8/5): Cool Old Hotel with History - This is a beautiful old property in Downtown Green Bay. The building has been renovated and in nice shape. Unfortunately the feature restaurant is only open for breakfast and has a limited menu. The pub on the ground floor is just that... a bar with bar food. They do have a really nice workout room with Matrix equipment and nice media hookups for the cardio machines. The biggest complaint I had was the excessive use of air fresheners. The hallways, elevators and our room had VERY strong scents. So heavy that the irritated my nose and caused congestion.
- Hike2dy (4/5): Inconvenient hotel with dishonest housekeepers - Upon arrival I had to drive around just to see what others were doing to find the entrance. Once in, I had to climb stairs (2 months out from total knee replacement) after driving for six hours. Then I had to get a cart, take the elevator down, and walk around the building to where my car was, get my luggage, then drag it back around the building to the elevator to get to my room. Then I had to move my car into the parking garage. Once again I had to figure out how to get in. My room and bed were just ok.
There were no outlets to plug my devices into next to the bed, so I used an outlet on the wall to charge my phone and AirPods. When I left the room I checked to make sure I wasn’t forgetting anything and left. Unfortunately I missed the white AirPods on the white shelf. I noticed that they weren’t in my purse later that day and called to report it. The hotel messaged me that they were found and they directed me to the company they use to return lost things. $75 later I received cheap ear plugs. I can track MY AirPods, and 5 days a week they show up at the hotel and go to work. The hotel was kind enough to reimburse me for 2/3 of replacement cost, but be aware the person who took them still works there, and they are using my AirPods.

- luvlylady1 (10/5): Beautiful Hotel! - Very nice hotel with old world beauty. Room was clean. Our window faced other rooms which wasn't a big deal since we spent minimal time in there. I guess you would have to request a city view. Hotel was quiet so we got a great nights rest. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay.
- Mary (4/5): - My room door lock failed due to a dead battery in the lock. I had to wait 30 minutes before it could be addressed and fixed. This is after going down to the front desk getting a new key, which failed because that wasn’t the problem, then waiting for maintenance to come up to the room and fix the lock.
- Michelle (10/5): - Love the location near downtown. Lots of great restaurants and bars to walk to
- Thoma (7/5): Fine! - Breakfast was good I think the hallways were unclean.
- dale (10/5): - We had a nice room comfortable bed. Breakfast is available for a price. Very good.
- Robert (8/5): - please have hotels explain if they have a night light in the bathroom is my recommendation ALL of them SHOULD. This bathroom had none and only way to turn on the lights is to all come on and when you're in middle of the night sleeping this is terrible. no soap in the room dispenser. door doesn't shut on its own. they must have a recurring problem because they have a procedure to deal with a door ajar. someone opened my door when i was in the bathroom to notify the door ajar...
- Grade (2/5): Great location but the smell was unbearable. Also, way too expensive. - Great location! The entire room smelled like smoke. It was smelly in the hallway, too.

- Danielle (10/5): - It was a beautiful place to stay
- ClubManDoc (8/5): Nice Stay at Hotel Northland - The Hotel Northland is a nice place to stay in Green Bay. It's a welcome difference from the regular hotels in the area. There is a lot of history in that building. We stayed there during Packer Family Night weekend in August 2025. However, we did have some challenges. The beds are very comfortable, and the pillows are cozy. The shower is great! The bathroom could stand to have some better lighting. The charcoal gray walls just made it so dark in there and the mirror lighting is so dim. While the hotel is downtown, we found it to be very quiet. There really isn't a lot of nightlife close by so you would have to drive or car-share to go someplace with a bit more life. AJ did an adequate job checking us in. However, I would recommend a bit more training be given. I didn't really feel warmly welcomed as a Titanium Lifetime Bonvoy member. I also had to ask a lot of questions. She didn't expand on parking, the restaurant in the hotel or what there might be to do in the area. The Walnut Room is very pricy for a breakfast that is on-par with a local mom-and-pop diner. Knowing what I know now, I would stay there again.
- Middleoftheroad5 (4/5): Unreliable - My visit was part of a trip where I stayed at three other hotels. In the months between making the reservation and my arrival, my credit card got hacked. The company issued me a new card. I didn't think any more of it. Three of the hotels had no issues with this and simply ran my new card at check-in. On the day of arrival, I stopped at a restaurant for supper and noticed two e-mails from the hotel informing me that they had tried to run my (old) card, it hadn't worked, they were expecting high volume, so they canceled my reservation for two nights. I called the hotel, and the clerk basically said the same thing mentioned in the e-mail. The clerk said a manager would call back. In the interim, I was in a bit of a panic, because I was tired from driving and, given the large event happening in town, figured I'd have to drive a ways to another town to find a hotel. When the manager called, I explained that, had someone tried to call me, I would have been happy to provide them with my new credit card number. (I don't check e-mails when I'm driving.) My phone showed no record of any attempted contact. There were no incoming calls or voicemails from the hotel. The manager reinstated my reservation.
When I arrived at the hotel, I discovered there is no short-term street parking for check-in purposes. I parked in a gravel lot behind the hotel where tags were required and hoped for the best.
Parking options were not voluntarily explained at check in. I had to ask where to park. I was told the public garage next door was free on weekends. That part was fine. What I was not told, however, was that it would be a good idea to park on the third level of the garage in order to access the skyway to the hotel. I was not told there WAS a skyway. After parking on the first level of the garage and pulling my suitcase onto the sidewalk, I noticed the skyway. I went back into the garage. The garage elevator was kind of nasty inside. I got off on the wrong floor initially (hotel and garage floor numbers generally don't match up- that part is normal). After figuring out the correct floor, I took my luggage into the hotel, up the hotel elevator and then to my room. I went back to my car and moved it to the third level in order to be closer to the skyway. All of this hassle could have been avoided with more specific instructions at check in.
I was so frustrated with this whole situation that I checked out a day early.
Due to the unreliability of this hotel to keep a reservation made months in advance, I would not risk staying here again.
I will say that the room itself was very nicely appointed. The bathroom was pretty luxurious. The mattress was very comfortable. It was also clean.
- Muhammad Imtiaz (10/5): - Nice place
- Renee (10/5): Historic beauty - Fabulous hotel. Really beautiful breakfast and lobby. But why do they keep it at 65 degrees?! I couldn't stand it and needed a sweater.
- travelmom61 (10/5): Green Bay visit - This is a beautiful hotel. We stayed two nights and were very comfortable with the room and location. After a delayed flight and late arrival we were greeted with a smile and welcomed to the hotel by the staff at the front desk. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. Breakfast was enjoyable.
- Matthew (10/5): -
- Jake (8/5): - The hotel was old and beautiful.
- Madeline Annisa (2/5): - I was overcharged and completely misled. I was given breakfast vouchers during my stay - yet I was still charged the full amount, of the breakfast fees for the each day.
When I contacted the hotel, they blamed it on the fact that I didn’t book directly with them. That’s unacceptable. If I had known I’d be charged anyway, I never would have eaten at the breakfast spot.
This kind of customer service is unacceptable, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
- vm120e9 (2/5): Closed for dinner ! - No longer serving dinner
Huge disappointment we chose hotel because of the Walnut Room
Downtown Green Bay is dining desert see no reason to visit
Hotel claims to have been restored however rooms are typical bleak gray Marriott Decor
- Rosemary (10/5): - This is a classic hotel, beautifully renovated. I loved it! Great breakfast as well!
- Beth (10/5): - Very clean property, quiet and peaceful stay. Beautiful property!
- kathlyne (6/5): - The gal at check-in must’ve missed the memo on hospitality—zero smiles, zero help. The AC? More like a humidifier in disguise. But hey, the bed was dreamy and the location? Chef’s kiss. If there’s a wedding going on, you will hear the party—but honestly, we loved the vibe. Plus, plenty of fun walkable spots to check out, so it evens out!
- marc (10/5): - Classic hotel.
- Jen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wisconsinite01 (8/5): Depends what you are for - We've stayed here a few times. Lovely hotel.
Good for a couple or a business stay
Not so much for families
Pro's
Historical hotel that has been redone. So each room is different.
Nice-sized rooms that are redone.
If you have a wedding here, a perfect place to stay
Wine bar across the street
Con's
It's one of the few hotels in Green Bay that charges for parking during the week
No free breakfast
The Walnut Room is overpriced for Green Bay
Besides a higher floor no Marriott benefits if you have status.
Tip
On higher floors no noise issues. You won't hear the weddings' receptions
- maria (10/5): - Excellent service
- LaTonia (10/5): Nice location - We stayed here on a Saturday night. It was quiet we didn’t see many other people. The room was clean and huge. We stayed in a one bedroom suite and it was well worth the little extra cost. The location for walking to everywhere we wanted to go was perfect!
- Jody (10/5): - Beautiful hotel and the beds are so comfortable!! Love the shower too! Restaurant downstairs was really good!
- Zachery (8/5): - The hotel itself was very nice, but don't bother with the breakfast. It said free breakfast, but yet you pay more for it. The breakfast was not worth it at all. Not only was the food not that great, the portions were small, and the service was so slow, we had to ask to get our check out extended.
- Angelina (7/5): Good - Very cool place. Historic but still comfortable. We had a nice room and a cool view Not very pet friendly. Hard to find grass the pet area is a thin strip of grass in a parking lot. The property claimed they didn't know I had a pet. Even tho I messaged them about it.
- Carmody (3/5): not good - Coffee was good. It was really loud until late in the morning. The room was not what I expected and the facility itself was run down.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super cozy, very comfortable bed but not totally impressed with the shower design & bathroom lighting
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (10/5): A great place to stay. - The Hotel was of the highest quality with lovely rooms attentive staff and absolute cleanliness. The breakfast menu gave us a great range of choice with full service.
- Amy (10/5): - Great stay at this historic hotel! Really fun to be downtown and with walking distance to some great food and coffee, also.
- Russell (10/5): - A very unique hotel that has been beautifully maintained through the years. I would highly recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): If this is downtown, go elsewhere - Crap.
- Melissa (9/5): Superb -
- Barry (10/5): - Loved the 1920's feel of the hotel even though it was extensively remodeled. Would definitely stay there again.
- Kelli (10/5): - The Hotel Northland Autograph Collection in Green Bay, WI is fabulous! I stayed for only 1 night from 3/28/25-3/29/25 because I was only in town for 1 night but I will definitely stay again. The hotel decor is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and very comfy. The hotel was apparently built in 1924 and has clearly been renovated but some of the original features have been kept though not operational (e.g., a mail chute and a shoe shine stand). Loved it.
- Levi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erica (10/5): Good time - Was a good stay. The room was clean and organized and the fitness was nice. Enjoyed Poke the Bear also.
- Kristi (10/5): - Lovely, quiet restful stay.
- Brandon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Teresa (10/5): - Great property!!! Will be back!
- Tracy (3/5): Really disappointed especially for the price paid - Beautiful lobby and decor in rooms for the most part
Front desk staff nice & accommodating Lumpy bed pillows, hard beds, worn thin duvets, couldn’t get rooms warm , dusty , no light on night stand near bed (changed rooms but still not great)
Poke the Bear had rude and inattentive, poor quality drinks at bar and not very dietary inclusive menu at either restaurants (no plant based)
- Sara (10/5): - Beautiful decor and design. Felt luxurious even though it was a quick night stay with friends. Thank you.
- Heidi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erica (10/5): - Was a fun over night stay. Room was nice and spacious and clean.
- Margaret (6/5): - Wanted to love it but it was just fine. Front desk person that checked us in was fine. She basically handed us the room keys and walked away. No directions on how to get to our room, where the elevators were, etc. Room was fine. Lobby was the best part of the hotel. Location is great for exploring downtown. I wouldnt stay there again....price not justifed for what we got.
- jeanie (10/5): - Loved everything about this place including Walnut Room !
- Mirna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (8/5): Old towels and needs maintenance - The hotel has seen better days. Towels were old and had holes on them. My coworker had a malfunctioning shower in a different room and said the towels were also old.
- Nancy (10/5): - Love the vintage theme of this hotel. Staff are very nice and breakfast comes in good portion size. Highly recommend!
- Lynn (6/5): Great hotel - Location No valet
- Skylynn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edward (10/5): - Everything was great.
- Elena (10/5): Nice , Concert night - The look, the location! The bartender kept walking past us and it wasn’t busy !
- freiburg13 (10/5): Pleasant one night stay - This was actually excellent one night stay for our family over Labor Day. It was slow night, and we got upgraded to a spacious suite. Bonvoy Titanium status certainly helped. Had good breakfast included too. The service was friendly and efficient. The location is pretty good too. No complaint whatsoever. On top of everything, I was able to redeem the points for free stay, and it was quite reasonable conversion. All in all, nice historic property, with attractive common areas too. Recommend to stay here, if business or pleasure bring you to Green Bay
- Hilary (6/5): Pleasant - The Hotel is in a quiet location so not ant traffic noise, it was beautiful inside and spotlessly clean, our room was modern, comfy and spacious.
Bathroom was airy, bright and clean.
Nice big tv and coffee machine, if you like your coffee.
Complimentary water in mini fridge, nice touch.
Dog friendly Hotel, O I believe there is an extra charge. Some of the staff were not friendly and attentive.
I felt dismissed or insignificant because they continued to converstate together despite me standing waiting for help.
Breakfast we where left standing waiting for seats whilst it was obvious to reception staff they did not assist.
Breakfast itself had very limited options.
Hotel not close to shops
Swimming pool was mentioned on Hotels own website but no facility available
- Jake (8/5): - The historic hotel has been tastfully updated while retaining the historic charm. The room was well equipped.
- Bill (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gratia (10/5): - This 100 year old property is a gem! The remodel is respectful of the history but has every modern amenity. As beautiful as the building is, the staff is equally top notch.
- Laura (8/5): - Well located, friendly staff. Building is beautifully restored. Only negative was room refrigerator noise at night.
- Caitlin (7/5): It was our first time in Wisconsin and it was memorable. - It was a unique property and was a one of a kind place for us to stay. The only downside was that no one ever came to clean our rooms during our stay so we would have to go ask for fresh towels.
- X702SergioM (6/5): It was ok. Don’t bring heavy luggage. Parking was confusing. - I had absolutely no issue with the room itself. I had a full night sleep with no issues. The location is great, I was able to walk In a desirable part of town. I couldn’t figure out the parking, parked in the lot next door. I had extremely heavy luggage that I had to lift up some stairs. At Marriott Titanium Elite, I thought there would be some breakfast benefits. Not here. The staff at the restaurant were kind and attentive regardless.
- Jason (10/5): - We loved our room, the staff was excellent and the location was perfect! Definitely will stay again.
- Rebekah (10/5): - Hotel Northland is a beautiful and immaculately restored and kept up. Every staff member I encountered was fantastic. If I find myself in Green Bay again, I will absolutely stay at the property again!
- Hampton (10/5): - A perfect combination of classic and historic but fully comfortable and modern where-it-counts!
- Cassandra (10/5): Great Spot - First trip to Titletown & we definitely picked the right place to stay!
- Here_we_G00000 (8/5): Very comfortable room - Room was extremely comfortable.
Nice bed linens nice furnishings.
Breakfast restaurant offers limited selections for use with my marriott status coupons. It all felt kind of pricey.
However, the Eggs Benedict was absolutely great. Restaurant bar/ dinner place (Poke the bear) was dead on a Saturday night. I found some nice restaurants on Adams Street. Pro tip: free parking on weekends from 6 PM Friday till 8 AM Sunday, including streets and garage attached to the hotel
- Fearless31735533000 (6/5): 70” wide “King” bed, stale smoke smell - This is the second time I stayed at The Hotel Northland. Although the hotel gives every appearance of being a luxury hotel, and does have some high end finishes that make for luxury accommodations in some rooms, there are some issues which detract greatly from the overall stay experience. Our first time staying, we had a double queen suite. We noticed large stains on the carpet, and broken shades on lamps. The HVAC system was incredibly loud, so much so that it interfered with our sleep. But the suite was a generous size with two bathrooms and a soaker tub, which we enjoyed. Our second stay, we got a king room that according to the website pics had a separate seating area with a couch. Imagine our surprise when the room we were given had no such seating area, and most importantly, no king bed. I was told the the bed -was- a king, and that “king rooms have different layouts”. My tape measure measures the bed at 70” wide. That’s 6” short of a king bed width. My husband is 6’4” and it’s all limbs. We need a 76” wide bed, not a 70” wide bed. Even more disappointingly our room, and the entire floor reeked of stale cigarette smoke. I’m sorry to say we won’t be returning to The Hotel Northland.
- Jedidiah (10/5): Exceptional - Very beautiful. Great location.
- Steve (10/5): - Beautiful old hotel. Nice rooms and public spaces. Great location convenient to variety of places to eat.
- Rick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clinton (10/5): Wonderful stay! - Amazing value. Beautiful hotel.
- Jeff (8/5): - Near the river but not much happening on a Sunday/Monday.
- Timothy (9/5): Superb -
- jassim (10/5): - Nice vintage hotel. Have to use parking before hotel with a cost. No street parking at night.
- Kimberly (9/5): Superb -
- Shelly (10/5): - Spacious rooms, large bathroom, great pillows and linens on comfortable bed. Clean!!
- Isabella (8/5): Nice but not wot - Nice hotel. Not worth the price of $300.
- Marco (10/5): - Restaurant stuff… just wow! You need an upgrade!
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sheila (4/5): Won’t be back, rooms filthy and cheaply decorated - Nice room for breakfast Bad breakfast
Boring menu
Small portion
- Donna (10/5): - Beautiful historic property very clean, friendly front staff great bar and restaurant. I was very happy and comfortable.
- Kristine (8/5): Worth the splurge, but get room details! - The history and beautiful exterior/interior of this hotel is a treat. So much character! There are several restaurants/stores in walking distance. We also enjoyed the common gathering spaces and the exercise room. It was nice to have a fridge in the room. So glad this property was saved and renovated – it is a gem. We were placed in an interior room facing all the hotel heating/cooling machines. The view was ugly and there was a constant hum, which was a bit annoying. In addition, I booked two of the same priced rooms and one had a soaking tub and one did not. It would be nice if both of these things were more clear when choosing a room. I would have definitely preferred a room facing outwards. For the price, it would also be nice if breakfast was included.
