• James (10/5): - The host, Barbara, was warm and welcoming, so helpful with what we can do around Napoli. Just amazing! At first the front door of the building, but then we understood the Napoli vibe and the general landscape, embraced it, and loved it.
• Stefanie (10/5): - Sehr zentrale Lage direkt am Spaccanapoli mit Cafe für Frühstück um die Ecke und Restaurants. Barbara hat uns sehr gute Empfehlungen gegeben. Zur Metro Dante ca 10min zu Fuß. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten fanden wir sehr gut zu erreichen zu Fuß oder mit Metro.

• Suzana (9/5): - Zeer centraal gelegen in het historische centrum. Op loopafstand van veel bezienswaardigheden. Veel bars en restaurants in de buurt. In het appartement hoor je geen geluiden van buiten. Hartelijk ontvangen door Barbara. Ze had ook goede tips. Appartement is ruim en schoon. Bij terugkeer kies ik zeker weer voor dit verblijf. Één minpunt: handdoeken zijn niet gewisseld (we waren er 3 nachten). NB: Appartementen zijn op een hoge 1e verdieping en er is geen lift.

In der Unterkunft scheint Napoli weit weg zu sein - angenehm ruhig. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir haben ganz viele Tipps erhalten. • Margot (9/5): Brilliant place, amazing welcome, extremely well looked after, would definitely recommend - The location was perfect right in the heart of busy Naples easy walking access to everything we wanted to see I didn’t know we weren’t able to see the outside from the windows so made the appointment a little dark but this wasn’t an issue fo our party but others may want to know.

Sie hat uns in ihrem Hotel persönlich empfangen und uns alle Sehenswürdigkeiten und empfehleneswerten Restaurants in Neapel auf einer Karte gezeigt. Danach war sie jederzeit für uns erreichbar. Der Fassade und das Treppenhaus lassen nicht vermuten , wie wunderschön und elegant das Hotel und die Zimmer sind. Außerdem war es sehr sauber und wurde regelmäßig gereinigt. Grazie mille Barbara. Heart of the historic centre near lots of incredible restauranta, shops, ice cream parlours, pastry spots, bars and clubs but truly quiet inside! * Wonderful high ceiling suite with all the amenities you need and housekeeping turned the room over too - best of having an apartment and our own space with the comfort of a hotel. Photos don't fully do it justice! * The building is truly grand, space to chill out in the reception area, coffee machine and magazines to entertain * Barbara and the team were wonderful throughout, in particular the low down on the city Not much not to like! Only thing is our room faced the courtyard which meant not a lot of natural light, the flip side was that it was very quiet and when doors were shut at night, it blacked out all light resulting in a great lie in!

Il trasporto dei bagagli sulle scale di accesso alla casa non è stato molto agevole e ascensore non era disponibile.

The house itself is beautiful, tucked right in the heart of the old town, and Barbara was an exceptional host — friendly, attentive, and full of great local tips. The location couldn’t have been better, with easy access to the metro, trains, and ferries for exploring Naples and the nearby islands, plus countless fantastic restaurants just a short walk away. In the center of everything, all major cites, restaurants, bars, within walking distance. Parking is very near the hotel but be prepared for a crazy ride through the historical center😀

The room itself was spacious and well-equipped with tableware, which was a convenient touch. What truly made our experience special was the staff. Barbara was an absolute star – always just a quick WhatsApp message away and ready to help with any request. She went above and beyond for us, kindly providing a temporary key so we could securely store our luggage after check-out, as our flight was in the evening. This thoughtful gesture was immensely appreciated and made our last day so much more relaxing. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the city Just a couple of practical points for future travellers: it's helpful to have cash ready upon arrival for the city tax, and the Wi-Fi needed a quick reset when we first checked in. However, what impressed us was how quickly the staff resolved the Wi-Fi issue via WhatsApp. While they aren't on-site 24/7, their availability via message was excellent. The only slight discomfort was the suggestion to leave a 10/10 review, as we prefer to give a genuine reflection of our experience, which was still genuinely great. As a final tiny note, and to be completely thorough, we did spot one small spider on our first night, but it was a very minor, isolated incident and a complete non-issue for the rest of our stay. Would still recommend the place

• SUZANNE (10/5): - This hotel is a little oasis in the Old City of Napoli, which is a very vibrant area! It was close to everything and walkable. It was originally a family villa apartment of Pierpaolo, who converted it to a hotel and who greeted me when I arrived. He was so kind and spent a long time with me, marking places to see and restaurants on a map, and providing me with a lot of information about Napoli. Barbara helps manage the hotel and she was wonderful. Whenever I had a question I could text her and her response was immediate. She even made a restaurant reservation for me one night. A simply lovely person. I felt so very welcomed by them both. It's not often you have accommodations with people so intent on making you feel this welcomed and supported. Although the hotel is in the heart of the action, it is very quiet inside. And the villa apartment which is now the hotel, has beautiful original old artwork, fresco, antiques as well as wonderful floor tiles and wood work in the public areas. The room did not disappoint, it was a studio with stairs to a bedroom loft and it was immediately apparent that attention was also made to art and design of the room. • Melina (10/5): Stunning, Quiet, Comfortable with Excellent Service - Difficult to pick a favorite thing. Casa Hosteno is so, so, so quiet, yet it's a 1 to 30-minute walk from everything! The room was absolutely gorgeous: spotless, BEAUTIFULLY decorated (i.e. Architectural Digest), has a refrigerator, has crisp sheets on a comfy bed, includes instant coffee (thank you so much for in-room coffee!!!), has strong reliable Wi-Fi, has a bidet, has windows that keep out the street noise, close to the Pompeii bus, close to many of the best pizzerie in the city, and my room -- Donna Bianca, I think -- had a living area with a lofted bedroom above. It was dreamy. Additionally, the host, Barbara was so communicative, kept my baggage safe after check out, recommended her favorite spots in the city, communicated in Italian and English, and was so kind after I left my last uncomfortable hotel. I didn't catch the housekeeper's name, but she didn't mind at all when I returned after checkout to change out of rain-soaked clothes and insisted I take an umbrella with. A fabulous experience. The entry was a bit hidden, but I ended up falling in love with that quality, too. I think only a Nespresso machine and real milk could make this place better.

• Aoife (10/5): A truely amazing 11 days in Napoli! - Beautiful period property in the most perfect location to really live like a local! The apartment was the perfect size. We stayed for 10+ days. The cleaning and facilities were perfect for what we needed. I was remote working so the WiFi was of huge importance to me and it was perfect for our full stay. Barbara and the rest of the staff were so friendly. She provided us with excellent recommendations for our stay and was there everyday to help out if we needed. I’ve heard Naples is a love/hate city but we were 100% on the love side - we will definitely come back - It is so vibrant and full of life. Every night there was something to do and the city was full of atmosphere. Casa Hostena is the perfect location to really enjoy the historic city. Thank you Barbara and team for making our stay so enjoyable! Our room faced an internal courtyard, this was perfect for us as it was darker which meant it was cooler during the warm days. Perhaps some people would prefer a bright room and you can request this if it is available with Barbara ar reception.
• Arosehightower (10/5): Comfortable and convenient in the historic center - This property was perfect for our needs! It's located right in the heart of the historic center, and was a quiet reprieve from the bustling city. Our room had a quiet interior courtyard view, fully stocked kitchen, small patio (ideal for drying hand-washed clothes), and a great AC unit. The host was very kind, helpful, and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. Breakfast vouchers for the cafe around the corner were a nice treat. Being able to step out the property's door and dive straight into the city center was an incredible convenience. I have no complaints, the property was great. It should be noted that there is one flight of stairs for anyone concerned. A washing machine would have been appreciated and the sitting space furniture improved, but these are nitpicks.

• Bradley (10/5): - We loved staying at Casa Hosteno in Naples. We arrived in the evening and were able to get a late check in. The building was a little hard to find when we arrived off a long flight (tiredness played a large part!) but we were given very good instructions and once you were through the gate and up to the hotel, it was just wonderful. Barbara was super helpful with tips for the city, restaurants and transport options to get around. It’s in a central, easy to get to many Naples sites and had a helpful taxi rank just outside.

Even though it was right in the middle of a very busy neighbourhood, it was surprisingly quiet inside. The interiors are beautiful, the apartment is spacious and Barbara is an exceptional host.
