- Michael (10/5): - Jim & Kris are very welcoming & wonderful hosts! Kris’s breakfasts are all world!
- Rebecca (10/5): - The property is beautiful and serene. I enjoyed my stay in the bird room and bfast was great.
- Stewart (10/5): - Outstanding views
- Kevin (10/5): - Anchorage was a memorable stay, Kris and Jim were great hosts, their bnb was very cool and the breakfasts prepared were delicious!
- Jerry (10/5): 30 days on the road - This place is amazing. Friendly host. Comfortable room. Fantastic breakfast. Beautiful location. Kris and Jim are the best
- Christopher (10/5): Great location great hosts - Kris and Jim were amazing, very friendly. I was able to help feed the horses they have there.
The food was great, the property was beautiful.
- Mark (4/5): Unfortunately - How do i say this nicely.... We picked the Anchorage for the close location to Mnt View Ranch for a wedding. I'm all for a time period themed room but when it's due to not getting any attention for repair or cleaning then it becomes a "dump". My guess the owners are past the age to give each room the attention it needs as well as the breakfast. Unfortunately the cobwebs, dust, peeling wallpaper and old bathroom fixtures i can only give it a poor rating. For the price we were very disappointed.
- CINDY (10/5): - We enjoyed out stay at Anchorage Farm B&B. We will definitely stay there again.
- GERALD (8/5): - Our Hosts were very welcoming & accomodating. The breakfast was delicious.
- Ana (10/5): - The house is charming, and the hostess was friendly and helpful, helping me with ideas for areas to explore. The breakfast was superb. I had a great experience.
- Faith (10/5): - A friend and I had a lovely stay at Anchorage. Our room was spacious, charming, and clean. The proprietors were warm and friendly. They also prepared a delicious breakfast and chatted with us as we dined. The adjoining horse farm was a nice place to walk around and enjoy the country air. This establishment is far outside of the ordinary and was an exceptional experience for us both.
- joe (10/5): - Jim and Chris were wonderful hosts!
- Brad (10/5): Beautiful Bed and Breakfast - Kris and Jim were great hosts who were gracious, accomodating, and very attentive to their guests needs. Highlights were their company and the incredible gourmet breakfasts!!! We will return in the future!
- Kaycee (10/5): - Kris and Jim were the best hosts. We were greeted with a cup of coffee and gourmet breakfast every morning. They also had conversations with us and recommend various activities we could do to fill our downtime. We would definitely book with them again the next time we are in the area.
- Spencer (10/5): - Kris and Jeb made me feel right at home. I loved their house and the all the animals on the farm. They have horses, chickens, and ducks. Breakfast was so good and everyone was so friendly. They remind me of one of the wholesome couples in a Hallmark film. If you’re looking for rooms the best one in my opinion is the Bird Room. It was such a fantastic experience. If either you’re passing through or you’re looking to unplug for the weekend this is the spot to go.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful location, clean quiet room. Horses on property. Friendly hosts.
- Rachel (10/5): - Beautiful property!!! Very quiet and nice place.
- Linda (10/5): - Loved the property in the mountains, and the horse stables. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and ours had a sunroom that was lovely. We enjoyed our visit with the owners, and the delicious breakfast. Highly recommend!
- Robert (10/5): Horse Lovers Haven - This is a special place. A working Horse Farm/Ranch and a lovely spot. The owners Chris and Jim go out ofthere way to make you welcome. The conversations were great. I am not a horse guy and learned a lot. I stayed in the Horse themed room, which had a large jacuzzi/shower and an amazing garden sunroom all to itself. The other room I say, The Coyote Room had a softer bed but even more atmosphere (with it's separate in-room jacuzzi and stand alone shower.) Breakfast was their specialty: Eggs Benedict and a fruit parfait. Just great...highly recommended for anyone willing to get their boots dirty and their hearts filled.
- ANTHONY (10/5): I highly recommend - This was a great find. Our hosts Jim and Kris Shred their home and a beautiful breakfast with us and a few guests. This is a working farm that is set in a quiet, peaceful surrounding. Our room (Room of the horse had an enclosed garden patio and a large whirlpool bath. The place is spotless and furnished with antiques except for the mattress which was extremely comfortable. The breakfast included Juice, coffee, eggs benedict (with fresh duck eggs) and a fruit parfeit. I highly recommend!!
- Myra (10/5): - We were fortunate to discover this property. The B&B offered 3 unique rooms and we were 3 couples traveling south to Gunnison. It was special time together, being the only guests. Our hosts were friendly, informative and helpful with local information. Our breakfast, eggs Benedict , was outstanding with a beautifully set table, including fruit, juice with an enless pot of coffee.
I highly recommend The Anchorage Farm Bed and Breakfast.
- Kathleen (10/5): - Nice and comfortable stay during our visit here.
Karin and Jim are wonderful hosts and were helpful with some food limitations for my family. There were seven of us and we occupied all of the rooms.
I would highly recommend this location!
- Deborah (10/5): - The outstanding thing about this property is its location just a few minutes away from Staunton State Park. Also terrific were the home-like atmosphere, and helpfulness of the owners. I loved the decor of the room where I stayed - the Bird Room - which any birder would be just tickled to stay in. It shows a lot of love and humor. The hosts are very accomodating to special requests, and I would happily stay there again. The breakfast was very nice, and I greatly appreciated their doing it at an earlier hour so I could make it over to the park in time to avoid the heat for my hike. Highly recommend!
- Karen (10/5): - A lovely night away.
- Anne (10/5): - We really enjoyed stay with Kris and Jim. They are excellent hosts, and their Inn is beautiful. The breakfast every morning was wonderful.
- Bryan (10/5): Busyness - Quick and easy
- David (10/5): - What a great stay! Horses great! Staff great!!! Bessie the awesome dog, the best!!!! Breakfast delicious! Not a bad thing to say!!!!!
- Nancy (10/5): - Beautiful horse property with a lovely bird-themed room for our stay. Breakfast was delicious. We would return next time we are in the area.
- Sandra (10/5): - The Anchorage Farm provided an authentic Colorado experience. The hosts were warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this property as a place to stay.
- Lance (10/5): - Fantastic hosts. Beautiful location.
- AARON (10/5): - Great hospitality!
- Paul (10/5): Colorado mountain stay. - Jim and Kris are excellent hosts. It’s a working horse farm with all the things that go along with that. If you love horses and the mountains, then come. Take a lesson, you will not be the same. Both are amazing teachers/coaches.
- Robert (10/5): - Horses
- Sharon (10/5): - Bed and pillows very comfortable. Bathroom was a bit small and sink faucet didn't work well (sprayed). Beautiful location!
- Stuart (10/5): - An absolutely sweet place nestled in the pines with great innkeepers. I had the Coyote Room which is an architectural and artistic wonder with original art and handcrafted furniture, oak floors and hand troweled plaster walls. Very cool. Great trails are right out the door and the proximity to Evergreen, Red Rocks and Golden is perfect. The breakfast was delightful and homemade. The feel is relaxing, unpretentious and welcoming.
- Kasie (10/5): - Stayed here for a wedding in the area. Jim and Kris were so friendly and had coffee and breakfast ready every morning. Their farm is beautiful with quiet places to sit and walk to enjoy nature. They have horses on the property and have all sorts of activities to do with and around them, I didn’t get to do these because my schedule was packed pretty tight but I would definitely return just to stay and experience their B&B farm. My room was comfortable and clean. This place was a nice change from staying in a hotel.
- Brenda (6/5): - The B& B was a beautiful place. Location to family wedding was perfect. Hosts Kris and Jim were very friendly. The problem was the rain coming into our room. Causing such a mildew smell. We had to leave the bathroom fan on the two days we were there. The floors were so wet. The bed in the Bird room was way too soft. Also, wifi cut out at 10 pm the first nite we were there and never came back. We could have called Kris but she was busy with personal things. We managed.
- Paul M (10/5): - Elk (in the woods around the property) as well as a horses on the property. A beautiful and serene setting. Kris treated us to a wonderful handcrafted breakfast. Kris and Jim have a unique B& B and are the epitome of rural America with hard work and following their passions in life!
- Eric (10/5): Real Human Hospitality - What an amazing wonderful place to stay. Everything was completely oriented towards real human hospitality. Imagine exactly the opposite of a Motel 6 stay. Walked out of my room in the morning and was greeted by 6 gigantic elk dining on the front lawn. Exceptional breakfast and great conversation from hosts and guests. Can't wait for an excuse to stay again...
- Anne (10/5): - Chris and Jim were the sweetest people and really wanted to make sure our stay was wonderful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious
- Alex (10/5): - Kris and Jim were phenomenal hosts! And, Bessie, the resident Newfoundland, was a great surprise. A true bed and breakfast experience in the Front Range. 10/10 would stay again!
- Sonia (10/5): Charming accommodations - The bird themed suite we stayed in was charming and comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was excellent and it felt like we were visiting with old friends.
- Joe (8/5): - Jim and Kris are very accommodating hosts. The breakfast was delicious and filling.
- Greg (10/5): - It's a working horse farm in a beautiful, quiet mountain area. Breakfast was delicious and the other guests provided interesting conversation. Kris and Jim were very attentive to our needs.
- dennis (10/5): - It was a quiet place - just what we were looking for to escape the noise of the city.
- Kimberly (10/5): - We had a wonderful time. It exceeded our expectations.
- Toby (10/5): A Great Experience - Our stay couldn’t have been better!!! Kris and Jim were great hosts The breakfast they made for us the next morning was awesome! I hope we get an opportunity to return!! I would recommend without any reservations Anchorage Farm to anyone traveling to the area!!!
- Charles (10/5): A quiet place to stay - My wife and enjoyed our stay at Anchorage Farm. Kris and Jim and their son were very kind and prepared a great breakfast! We enjoyed the family atmosphere and conversation, Kris thank you for the use of your ironing board. Jim, I will remember your story of Mr. Janssen. Thank you again for your hospitality and kindness. May God bless your family. Charles and Joan
- Mary (10/5): - This quaint B&B is a small working horse farm. It has a charm to its setting with a dated decor. The praise goes to the fabulous breakfast that we devoured. Kris and Jim were most accommodating and low key that made you feel so welcome. It was conveniently located off 285 for us to attend a wedding down the way.
- Joy (8/5): - I stayed in the “Bird Room” which was aptly named…..resin birds, fAbric birds, plastic and China birds abound. I slept well as it’s very quiet and peaceful with a ultra comfortable bed. Jim was a good host, friendly and helpful.
- Alexander (10/5): - Very humble place to stay
- Douglas (8/5): - Nice
- Andy (10/5): - The property had beautiful views of the surrounding state park, which is absolutely stunning in the fall. The owners also teach horseback riding so there are beautiful horses, and very friendly pups ready to welcome every guest. In the morning, breakfast is served family style and everything is hand made (one of the best breakfasts I have ever had), the eggs are farm fresh from their chickens. I will definitely be going back!
- Adam (10/5): - Beautiful place!
- Jonathan (10/5): - I didnt like waking up at 8:00 to hear other people eat breakfast and talk all morning
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very friendly hosts. No AC but did cool off at night in room
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The people are nice and friendly and very accommodating the food was good the bed was comfortable had a good time
