- suehT536PG (10/5): Another outstanding vacation at Atelier Playa Mujeres. - Our 14 night stay was flawless! We are huge fans of this resort and will return again very soon. Our butlers Martin and Aline were brilliant, they were always available (via WhatsApp) to answer any questions we had, in fact, there was a minor maintenance issue in our room and it was fixed within 30 mins!! We are creatures of habit lol, we ate lunch at the Consentida buffet every day, our waiter was Ricardo, he was kind and so helpful. The quiet pool at building 3 is our fave spot to relax and chill, so peaceful and relaxing. Thanks to Carlos and Itziel for looking after us. We ate at most of the restaurants and enjoyed the food but a stand out for us was dinner at Limon Y Sal, my husband loved the creamy shrimp dish. The gala dinner on Christmas Eve was sensational. They had so many different types of food. Standouts were the Beef Wellington, Prime Rib, seafood section and the desserts! The raspberry Pavlova was divine. We missed the lunch menu at Cala di Luna this visit, we both really hope it will be open when we return next time. All in all another magical stay! Thank you to ALL of the staff at Atelier.
- Wander37922983688 (10/5): Christmas 2025 at our home away from home. - The greatest place to celebrate Christmas. We enjoyed every minute of our time. Our butlers Aline and Martin were the best! They took care of our every need, so professional and kind. We visited all of the restaurants and enjoyed the variety of food they offered, It was very busy during our stay but we had no problems getting reservations. Had breakfast most mornings at La Consentida where Luz and her team took very good care of us. I have to mention the Christmas Eve gala dinner which was held at Mercado 19, it was absolutely amazing! Kudos to the chefs and servers, they all worked so hard to prepare the fantastic food offerings. The bartenders at Atelier are super friendly and extremely knowledgeable, thanks to Jorge Petul, Daniel Millan, Pedro A, Freddy F, Analili M and not forgetting Robert..bravo to you all. We look forward to seeing you all very soon!!!
- dozchdik (8/5): Beware of extra charges for your stay - Beautiful grounds, very attentive staff, good food. Expensive. And one would expect everything is included for $1400 a night. Except spa, Maria Dolores restaurant and very special New Year celebrations evening they charge additional $400 per table on the beach. Or and when you check out tips are charged to your card too, about $55 a day. So dont bother to tip in cash, those don’t count:). 90 minutes sale time share/vacation resort speech with gave you a couple massage at the spa though. Nice bonus. Would we come back? Probably not.

The resort itself is absolutely stunning—modern luxury meets nature in the best way possible—but what truly sets this place apart is the people. The level of service here is world-class. I want to give a special shout-out to the team members who made our trip so memorable: Concierge Excellence: A massive thank you to Eduardo and Gabriel from the Concierge team. They were incredibly professional and efficient in sorting out all our room requests. They ensured our stay was comfortable from the very first moment, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Morning Smiles: Our mornings were made perfect by Ianis and Itzel at breakfast. Their super friendly and welcoming greetings every single day started our mornings off on such a positive note. We also have to thank Fabel from the breakfast team—not only was his service great, but he gave us fantastic recommendations for Isla Mujeres that made our day trip there amazing! Poolside Perfection: Service by the pool was top-tier thanks to Yax. I was so impressed by his attention to detail. It wasn’t just about the service; we really appreciated him taking the time to share his culture with us. It added such a personal touch to our afternoons. Dining Highlights: We had a fantastic dinner at the Steak restaurant, and Wilberth provided a truly memorable evening. The facilities and grounds are meticulous - from the beach, the pools, etc. the food is outstanding - there are a variety of restaurants (steak, Italian, Asian, seafood). However what makes this a 5 star experience is the service. Our butlers Alejandro / Val went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. Yet it was a complete experience from servers to pool attendants to bartenders to housekeeping / turndown service. This is the third visit for us. We will definitely be back.

- RebSmyth (10/5): 5 star family Christmas and resort - My family and I had a truly memorable Christmas holiday at Atelier. We booked INSPIRA swim up suites and were so happy we did for the following reasons Access to a designated part of the sandy beach with sea view cabana beds. We did not have a problem getting a bed any day with the expert friendly organizational skills of Luis and his colleagues. Exclusive use of the INSPIRA rooftop infinity pool on the 5th floor. The view of the golf course and the Caribbean sea there is breathtaking. The staff were so attentive sourcing beds, serving drinks and even bringing you a towel to dry off after a dip in the pool. A special mention to Concepta who was so friendly and professional serving us drinks. She joined in the fun when some of the family were telling her about the Irish way of asking for another drink called “one for the road”. Complimentary hydrotherapy experience at the NUUP spa. I went with my daughter and it was so invigorating with an air of calm. I particularly liked the part where the therapist puts cucumber slices on your eyes and an iced cloth over them to lie in the sauna heat. It was so simple but effective. Free dinner at Maria Dolores restaurant. We went on Christmas Eve. You can feel and see the opulence of the restaurant on arrival with a violinist playing. It sets the scene for the fusion of fine food to follow. Each dish had a unique Mexican twist to it. We enjoyed the experience so much we returned on the last night of our holiday to create a special memory. On this occasion we got 50% of the meal cost. We had two butlers Alexis and Domingo. We met them on WhatsApp before our arrival and they were there for us 24/7 until our departure. Anything we asked for was dealt with efficiently like restaurant, spa, golf, bike tour bookings and even extra cans of coke zero for our room. They came to see us daily wherever we were in the resort for a chat along with answers to our WhatsApp queries. They genuinely wanted to play their part in making our holiday special and totally stress free. They are true Atelier ambassadors. I would 100% recommend booking an INSPIRA suite. We had to fly from Ireland via the US to get to Cancun. The good news is from January 2026 there will be direct flights from Ireland. This will make it more accessible for us to return to this gem of a Mexican resort. I would definitely recommend Atelier to anyone looking for a holiday in a luxurious 5 star resort in Cancun. It ticks all the boxes and more.

They went above and beyond to celebrate my 40th birthday, creating the most beautiful and romantic displays, thoughtful surprises, and unforgettable décor and treats. Every detail was intentional and perfectly executed, making the celebration feel incredibly special and personal. It was honestly more than we could have ever imagined. Brandon and Pingting are true professionals who clearly take pride in what they do, and it shows in every interaction. It is a quick trip from the airport and the hotel can arrange great transportation. All areas of the hotel are clean and tidy. The rooms are perfectly laid out with wonderful beds. We love the space in the room, the bathroom and the wide open shower. This hotel is simply a joy to stay at. The staff including our butlers Valeria and Alejandro are amazing. I have to mention Liliana, Gisel, Concepcion, Sandra, and many more waiters who provide great service. There is also Luis, Carlos, David, and Donovan. There are many more names to add. Alberto our mixologist;. I will write another review and add more information but know this, this hotel is perfect.

The resort itself was excellent, peaceful, and very relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the experience. We were able to adjust our plans for rain, and our on-site coordinator was very engaged in the process. The mosquitoes were noticeable in October compared to when we first visited in March, but we had no major issues and were very happy with how our wedding weekend went.

This was our first time at the resort, and it completely blew us away in every possible way. The property is stunning, the atmosphere is luxurious, and the level of service is truly world-class. What made this trip especially unforgettable was the incredible staff. Every single person we encountered was friendly and professional, but two team members absolutely deserve special recognition. Jonathan from Hospitality and Entertainment and Guadalupe from Pool Services went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, and they made us feel welcome from day one. Their positive energy and dedication truly elevated our entire experience. My daughters and I had an amazing, memorable vacation, and we are already counting down the days until we can return. Atelier Playa Mujeres is a gem, and we cannot recommend it highly enough!

- Wander25531070414 (2/5): Atelier is a fraudulent hotel - Atelier Playa Mujeres – A Complete Letdown Masquerading as a 5-Star Resort Atelier markets itself as a luxury, five-star property, but that claim is nothing short of fraudulent. The food is nowhere near five-star quality — bland, inconsistent, and served in portions so tiny it feels intentional. Steaks were literally paper-thin. Every restaurant left something to be desired, and you quickly realize the “fine dining” label is just clever branding with no substance behind it. The service is equally disappointing. Basic requests are met with no, we can’t do that, or that costs extra. It feels like every interaction is designed to upsell you. The staff isn’t empowered to fix anything, and trying to escalate to management is pointless — they’re either unavailable or completely ineffective. You’ll have better luck solving issues by talking to a wall. The only legitimately nice thing about the resort is the physical property — the grounds and buildings are beautiful. But a pretty backdrop can’t compensate for terrible service, subpar food, and constant nickel-and-diming. Bottom line: This is a three-star experience wrapped in a five-star price tag. The way they advertise themselves is, in my opinion, a blatant misrepresentation. If you’re used to genuine luxury resorts — the kind that actually deliver quality and service — you will be extremely disappointed here. I should’ve known the moment I saw the price. You really do get what you pay for, and this place proves
- D4817ZVtp (8/5): Selective Service - Atelier was phenomenal for the most part. I gave it a 9/10 the only thing to share was the selective service. It was unfortunate but we did notice where the service was not consistent. We noticed that some guest would be served well before we did which could be concerning. A few examples is that we had been sitting and waiting via the lobby bar for quite some time to be served for a beverage and others just arrived and was served before us. There was another instance when we were at the wine and cheese tasting in the lobby area, we were at the couch closest to the windows, we arrived and was seated first and others were closer to the open lobby area and was served prior to us even though we arrived first (also note the other family that was sat closest to us arrived similarly to us and was served but we were not until others) and lastly we were at el supiro on our last day and we waited 15 minutes before we were served but noticed a guest that well after we arrived were served immediately. we call this into question because although we had questionable service we tipped each time because we value the work that service people do and don't want that to be construed when waiting on tables of different nationalities. Again, it was not with everyone but enough to make an awareness.

From the arrival, to the check-in, the room, the restaurants, the bars, the gym, the activities, the pool, the the politeness, and genuine feeling that everyone gave us; this was a vacation we will remember for a long time!! .....and we will be coming here again exclusively. Our experience at the Atelier has convinced us we need go nowhere else to find exactly what we need in a vacation. The staff, in particular, made us feel like their whole goal was to make our vacation special. It goes without saying that this is how it should be, but most places fall far short of this. I have been in the hotel/casino industry for over 35 years and I felt like "these are the people I want working with me at the casino I work at!!" Above and beyond with a consistancy that places like Las Vegas should take serious and deep note of. Now on to the dining, while all of the restaurants were good, two in particular stood out for food; Cilento and the (kind of hidden gem) Limon Y Sal. The presentation and the taste of these two are still in my head even after returning to home. If you go, make it a point to NOT miss these two culinary exeriences! As a note, the bartender at Limon makes a darn fine Passionfruit daiquiri, give it a whirl. The only place that was "kind" of a letdown was Kopai, but that may be because we are VERY picky when it comes to our Japanese cuisine. But take that with a grain of salt and try for yourselves. Overall, the experience will be bringing us back again and again. We have found "our vacation" spot in Cancun!! Thank you everyone at Atelier!!!

We ended up staying4 nights on the Rooftop suite, and it exceeded all our expectations of all inclusives. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys all little bit of everything, as we were able to go to the pool or the beach or even the rooftop bar and lounge around. The food was incredible, and our butlers, Domingo and Alexis, were very helpful throughout our stay. FYI, we did do Inspira — but def noticed not everyone had it, so you can def have an amazing with or without :) Already planning our next trip back!

- melathomas (10/5): Happy returns...... - Another wonderful Atelier visit! We had a week of great food, delicious drinks, non-stop service, a great room that was so comfortable, and some very good music. It all starts with seeing old friends and acquaintances. Our butlers, Lazaro and Alberto, were on top of things. Since we had them on a previous visit, they knew what we liked during our visit–restaurant reservations, scents in our room, notification when our room was cleaned, and daily activity schedules. Plus anything we requested, they were happy to help. The mixologists at the Bar de la Calle were amazing! It was a show just to watch them create drinks with a smile. Alberto, Maximilian, and the team were just great! Freddy at the Sports Bar was a friendly face to see and always a pleasure to have a conversation. The Sky Bar knocked it out of the park with Evol or Raja always helping us get a bed or seating. Great service. Elizabeth was our server for most of the week. Her smile is contagious. My husband lost his voice on the trip and she made him a drink of honey and lemon juice to help his sore throat. So sweet. Many others suggested tequila with a wink! El Supiro has a new lunch menu and we were some of the first to try it. The seafood rice was delicious.The team of Oscar, Armondo, Victor, Job and Herbert were so attentive. They knew the new menu and made a few helpful suggestions. We stumbled on some enjoyable entertainment and would suggest giving it a try. Orlando the sax player was in the main bar and one evening at the Sky Bar (really good). Aura Band played at the Bar de la Calle one evening and had most of the people at the bar laughing and dancing from 9:30-11:00. So much fun! Don’t miss this group. We also liked the show Latin Beat at the theater. There was a Country and Rock show at the theater that was TOO LOUD–we had to leave! During our last few visits, we skipped having lunch at the main pool restaurant-Limon y Sal.. That was a mistake. We had two delicious lunches there this time and will definitely make sure we visit again. A few other people who made our visit memorable were Daniela (server in the Don Fernando Bar), Alicia (registration), Moises (Bistro–try this place for sure), and Mateo and Gilberto (Cilento). Still wishing they would do a follow up visitors survey and please purchase some better house wines……cheers. Oh and please add a lovely cafe light (like in the Don Fernado lounge) to the remote single table in the back of Takeshi.
- smin0ym (8/5): 2 out of 4 nights- not up to the 5-star level - So, we decided to have our family reunion at Atelier Playa Mujeres. We’re a group of 7, and we’re currently staying in three rooms for a total of 5 nights. We checked in two nights ago, and this is my halfway review. The whole experience of staying at Atelier hasn’t been exactly great so far in our first two nights. The luxuries and benefits of a true 5-star hotel are missing in most parts of the property, and we feel like we’re not getting the value for what we paid for, which was around USD 900 a night. To start with, we weren’t escorted to our room, and it was a bit of a hassle to find it after check-in. My wife and I are celebrating our tenth anniversary, and I had asked for a cake to be sent to our room, but it never arrived. The language can be a bit of an issue with some of the staff. The in-room amenities were just okay, not quite up to the standard of a 5-star hotel. After housekeeping, they didn’t replace the nespresso pods or my white, soft sandals. Lastly, there weren’t any dental kits and we had to ask for them, which again took a long time, and our room had and still has a mild moldy smell. Despite being an adults-only property with a night club (which was mediocre, again), most of the lights in the property go off after midnight. There’s not a lot of lighting options in our room. And I dont’s know why they keep ringing the bell when the ‘Do Not Disturb’ light is on! Now, let’s talk about the food. The breakfast spread was just okay, with not many choices. The coffee and pastries at the cafes were great, but the food at El Suspiro and Cilento was just about satisfactory. The cocktails at most bars weren’t up to par. We have stayed in resorts throughout the world from Singapore to Bahamas but this just doesn’t cut the 5-star mark! I have to mention a few people who made our stay better: Cynthia from Guest Services, Amayarani at Cilento, the lady at the gym, and Damian, our buggy driver. Hopefully, the rest of the stay will be much better.
- withlovenina (10/5): Best All-Inclusive Resort Experience!!! - ATELIER Playa Mujeres was by far the BEST all-inclusive experience we have had, and I look forward to returning as soon as possible! Overall, it was a fabulous resort and the staff are so kind that you feel incredibly taken care of. If you're lucky, you'll even get some servers who are also entertainers! :) The food is great—high quality, thoughtful, beautifully presented, and really yummy. We didn't have a meal that was less than "good" and the majority of them were excellent! Plus, the taco stand and crepe stands were such fun surprises in the evening! As someone who doesn't drink, the ease of ordering non-alcoholic cocktails was wonderful—every restaurant and bar even had a handful of different specialty non-alcoholic cocktails and all of them were extremely flavorful without being overly sweet. I am always worried I will accidentally get a "real" drink and not once did I have any issues. We really enjoyed the ocean-front INSPIRA cabanas —the service was outstanding, the beach was spotless, and the view was magical. HUGE shout outs to Guadalupe, Rojas, and Emmanuel for taking such good care of us. We splurged and got an INSPIRA rooftop suite which we loved—we had a full snack bar that was replenished after our second night, something I didn't expect! Based off other reviews we were a little weary of being "pitched" something on check-in but that didn't happen (they dropped an invitation off at our room later that day to what seemed like a pitch other reviewers had mentioned). The only minor complaints I have are: I would have liked a physical map at check-in or from our butler; I would have liked the ability to make dinner reservations via an app or on my own phone (the butler service for this feels over the top, except in the case where ours was able to get us in at the steakhouse which was completely booked); I would have loved to be able to control the temperature of our hot tub because it was TOO hot; and I also would have liked to be able to make it warmer in our room (it was 72 and a little chilly at times--thankfully there was an extra blanket!). We didn't do much other than lounge on the beach, but I could have experienced so much more with all the entertainment they provide!
- sarahwW8953BC (10/5): Unforgettable week at Atelier - Hi everyone! We visited Atelier around mid-November and finally had some time to write a proper review. We’re an Asian couple from Toronto and stayed at the resort for 7 days, and overall it was such a memorable experience. First of all, a huge thank you to Jonathan. We first met him at the Latin dance workshop, and his energy, warmth, and teaching style were incredible. He made the class so engaging and fun that even beginners felt comfortable jumping in. What really stood out was how thoughtful he was. Every time we ran into him afterward, he would stop to say hi and genuinely ask how we were enjoying our stay. Those small moments made us feel so welcomed and seen. Speaking of activities, we absolutely loved the crafting workshops, especially the piñata workshop and the Huichol art workshop. They were fun, hands-on, and gave us a chance to learn something new. For popular workshops like Huichol art or the sushi class, I’d highly recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early. They fill up fast, and we almost missed them! Casino night was another highlight, and we also really enjoyed the casino activity in the pool. There was a magician running the blackjack table (so sorry we didn’t catch his name!), and he absolutely blew our minds. He riffled through the deck, asked us to say stop, and somehow the card we landed on was exactly the one we needed. Still can’t figure out how he did it! Now the cocktails deserve a whole section of their own. We spent a lot of time at Calle Bar, right in front of Cafecito, and this is where Juan truly stole the show. Juan consistently made some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had. I’m more of an adventurous drinker and loved asking him to surprise me, and he never disappointed. One standout was a blueberry gin cocktail with lychee foam on top, which was absolutely amazing. Another favorite was a smoky green apple drink with mezcal. It was so well balanced and unforgettable. Juan’s creativity, attention to detail, and passion really elevated the experience. All the bartenders at Calle were friendly and professional such as Aezel, Rodolfo, Max…I only wish we had asked everyone for their names! We also joined the stargazing activity, which was such a peaceful and unique experience. The facilitator used a laser pointer to guide us through the stars, and we were able to look through a telescope as well. It felt both educational and magical. Finally, the food. Our two favorite restaurants were the Mexican and Mediterranean restaurants. At the Mexican restaurant, the tacos were incredible. Our personal favorite was the beef tongue taco. A tip: if there’s a buffet night at the Mexican restaurant during your stay, don’t miss it. The atmosphere is amazing, and you get to try more authentic local Mexican dishes rather than fusion-style food. At the Mediterranean restaurant, the paella was our top pick. It was rich, flavorful, and packed with seafood taste. One more place we don’t want to forget to mention is María Dolores. We booked our stay directly through the resort, and as a result, we received $100 in resort credit, which we were able to use at the restaurant. Before coming, I had seen some posts saying the credit could only be used at the boutique or spa. This might apply if you didn’t book directly through the resort. To avoid any confusion, I’d highly recommend checking with the front desk when you arrive, so you know exactly where your credit can be used. As for the food at María Dolores, the scallop ceviche was hands down the best dish we had during our entire 7-day stay. Both the presentation and the flavors were outstanding. It was incredibly fresh, light, and vibrant, with a bright lemon or lime acidity that tied everything together beautifully. Everything was perfectly balanced, and it truly stood out among all the meals we had at the resort. Overall, Atelier exceeded our expectations when it came to activities and cocktails. What truly set the experience apart, though, were the people, especially Jonathan and Juan, whose passion and hospitality made our stay feel genuinely special.
- Z3833MCtomb (10/5): Everything was great! Special specific shout outs to the employees who’ve helped us. - Domingo and Alexis were excellent butlers, very kind, accommodating and very attentive. We have no complains and can’t recommend any areas of improvement. The 2 employees that stood out to us otherwise were Donovan at Mercado 19 and Wilberth at Los Abrasos. Donovan was incredibly welcoming, friendly and attentive every single morning we came down for breakfast. He gave us extra care and recommendations as soon as we walked into the area, even addressing me by name before seating us. Wilberth was our waiter one night at the steakhouse and was so incredibly friendly for the entirety of the dinner. He helped us pick out a wine based off of our preferences and his personal recommendations. He then explained the details of the wine we selected and how best to enjoy it. He was attentive and made us feel special while we were there, even offering a special romantic/isolated dining experience. Special shout out to Moises the wine (sommelier?) for giving us extra help every night we attended the wine & cheese event. He would ask us questions and help us choose a different wine every time we went. Everything about the resort has been fantastic and we will be back.

Also our breakfast server Donovan at Mercado19 and our dinner waiter Wilbirth at Los Abrazos have made our experience that much more special. I’d rate my experience 10/10.
- 179madhuras (2/5): Privacy Concerns in “Private” Balcony of Inspira Corner King Suite #3544 - I stayed at Atelier Playa Mujeres (Inspira Corner King Suite #3544) on Dec 15–16. I was alarmed to find a visible surveillance camera installed directly above the balcony, overlooking the seating area and private jacuzzi. I reported this in person on Dec 16 around 11:30 AM to Carolina and Morgane, but no clear explanation, verification, or resolution was provided. I later emailed management formally and did not receive any acknowledgment. As a result, I could not comfortably use the balcony or jacuzzi that I paid a premium for. For a resort that markets itself as luxury and privacy-focused, this is deeply concerning. The issue is not just the camera — it is the lack of urgency, transparency, and accountability around a serious privacy violation. Until management provides written confirmation of the camera’s field of view and addresses the loss of privacy, I cannot recommend this resort. Luxury should never come at the cost of privacy.

We are not in that position, & put a lot of time & effort into researching what the best resort for our money was. Without a doubt, we made the right decision on this vacation. We traveled with our best friends. We are foodies and ate and drink a ton, the best AI food we've ever encountered. We took one excursion to Isla Mujeres, that I would highly recommend. Otherwise we stayed on property. It was high 80s every day, it rained this morning as we were leaving, and that was it. We 100% would go back. We do have strong opinions on buildings, 3rd floor in bldg 2 could be a nightmare. We were floor 5 in bldg 3 and while it was a walk, it was a gorgeous view and silent. We ate at Maria Dolores, it was worth it. None of us got one single mosquito bite, we didn't get the inspira sales presentation, and we didn’t play the towel game once.

- CKSymonds (4/5): Mostly style over substance - Mostly style and very little substance is our take on Atelier. My wife and I travelled here to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday and it’s truly staggering that this hotel has so many glowing 5* reviews. It was very disappointing - overall very little was great - it was average or way below average all the way. There are of course some positives worthy of mention such as Cafecito - the main coffee shop, the majority of the staff were welcoming and helpful, some of the restaurants were good (none were great), and the hotel rooms and hotel in general were clean and well maintained. However the negatives took away so much from our stay there. The main two negatives to mention are the food and drinks - mainly the cocktails. Both of which are fairly essential for an all inclusive resort holiday. First and foremost - the in-room dining was staggeringly terrible and not due to personal taste and preference. The standard of the ingredients and the way it was cooked was genuinely laughable for a hotel that charges as much as Atelier does. It was inedible. We had a breakfast and a dinner in the room and the food was generally cold, microwaved slop. The breads soggy from having recently been defrosted (nothing seemed fresh). Cold, soggy microwaved nachos being the highlight. Avoid in-room dining at all costs. Regarding the restaurants - as mentioned none were great. Ones to avoid from our experience: • Bikini Azul - awful low quality food, • Cala Di Luna - the most guilty of style over substance. Looked good but in reality, way below average food. • Mercado 19 - The Mexican restaurant in an evening. Really disappointing and the only place the waiter made us feel unwelcome. The buffet, La Consentida, was the only one we found to be good but even then it wasn't great. We've stayed in much cheaper all inclusive resorts that were far, far better than Atelier in respect of food. Regarding drinks - I can only assume that Atelier thinks that sweeter = better. Almost every single cocktail we had was far too sweet, particularly the cocktails from the respective bar/restaurant menus. Due to this, we started asking for specific cocktails which the staff either didn't know or couldn't make, which included a mojito. Just so disappointing. I'm not sure if its a competency thing or just a taste thing - maybe Mexicans and/or Americans just prefer cocktails that way. The house wine was also poor - the good stuff was extra. I resorted to just drinking the Mexican beers which were good. Other negatives include the terrible online services such as the restaurant booking portal and particularly the e-concierge function, where we were just ignored and had messages just disappear. Its also the first hotel we've stayed in that did nothing from their own initiative for a birthday. They did send me a brochure of obscenely expensive decorative options where they expected me to pay over £100 for some balloons and chocolates. What they do instead is ask you everyday at every meal if you're celebrating something. Why not just make a note and offer some small gesture for your guests rather than asking them multiple times a day? Bizarre. I can't think of anything else that was materially bad, but nothing else stands out either. The Spa was obscenely expensive, the pools were ok but quite small, below average beach, decent sunbeds, however no management of the morons that go out at first light to claim the sunbeds for the day. It was a long way to travel and a lot of money to pay for such an average hotel.

They were incredibly kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our anniversary special, adding thoughtful and beautiful touches to our room that made us feel truly celebrated. The pools were clean, fun, and well-maintained, and the beach was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, scenic, and perfect for relaxing. The food was exceptional—hands down the best food I’ve ever had at a resort, and honestly better than most restaurants. The quality, presentation, and service were all top tier across every dining experience. Atelier Playa Mujeres exceeded our expectations in every way. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury, unforgettable getaway.

Special shout out to our Butlers Rodolfo and Yareni who were amazing. Aristeo, on the beach - I miss this guy, he is a Gem, there all the time, went above and beyond even belting a birthday song for me! The service from these folks as well as all the other servers, bar tenders and staff in each of the restaurants, bars and throughout the hotel was exception making the trip stand out as the best experience we have had. - P888UZjeffl (10/5): Excellent resort !!! - Overall, this was a wonderful experience. The resort/complex is beautiful and well-maintained. The service was excellent and the food was terrific. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here (my first time at this resort) and I’m pretty sure we will try to return. There are plenty of positives to review. The property is very nice and it was rare to find anything worn or not working. We were pleased that the resort was not crowded… maybe 50-60% occupancy. That made it a pleasure finding pool chairs, etc. (Of course, had it been a different season and it was 90%-100% full, there may have been some issues, but that was not the case this time.) Our guest room was nice and housekeeping did an excellent job daily. The AC in the room was strong enough to cool the room, as well (not always the case at some resorts). All of the restaurants were outstanding… we enjoyed Takeshi and Kopai the most, but found delicious choices everywhere. And having 2 coffee shops in the resort is a big plus. The gym was outstanding, as well… it was crowded in the mornings, but not at all the rest of the day. Our room was in Building 3 which has less foot traffic and is much quieter (the way we like it) than the “main” building. Bartenders did an excellent job making drinks… very few misses. Atelier hits all the right notes on the main/important things you come here for. We had mixed reviews on the restaurant “reservation” system… it worked out most of the time, but we did get closed out of restaurants a couple of times and had to ask the concierge for help. Callouts to many staff there… Ernesto, Jahir, Marcos, Freddy, and Javier were our favorite waiters. Wendy in Azucar was so very pleasant to us. Andres and Ana at Consentida (our breakfast buffet) were delightful. And both Damarys and Juan at the pool were fantastic!! Most everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. Of course, there’s typically a list of the “negatives” experienced while there (or anywhere). I don’t think there’s a “deal breaker” on the list, but just things which could be improved, or, at least noted. -- The resort/campus is not very easy to navigate (directionally). Directional signs are just fair and it took us 2-3 days to get our bearings and figure out how to get from point A to point B. -- The “quiet” pool is for people who want read, nap, enjoy the serenity of the pool. If you’re someone who must talk/socialize with EVERYONE and can’t keep quiet, PLEASE be courteous and go to the “noisy” pool or to the beach… the rest of us really don’t want to talk with you, or hear you argue with your spouse/lover. Disturbances didn’t happen too often, but they did happen a few times (which were all very annoying). And if you hoped relaxing on the beachfront would be, you know, relaxing… forget it. People were talking, playing loud music, blabbing on their phones, staff moving equipment all over the place, etc. -- The “house” wines in the restaurants are very mediocre, which is a real shame. We did not buy any bottles of wine, so suffered through the house wines, or drank other liquor. Note to the resort… just spending “$1USD” more on your house wines would improve them immensely… please do. -- The ceiling fans in the guest rooms need a “low” setting… there’s only one speed (on or off) and it’s too high for sleeping, etc. -- The (non-existent) dress code in restaurants was rarely followed. Several men showed up in t-shirts, shorts, and flip flops at the indoor restaurants requiring “Business casual attire.” If the resort isn’t going to enforce a dress code, then DON’T HAVE A DRESS CODE….. There were men wearing shorts to Maria Dolores (a Michelin star restaurant). -- Speaking of Maria Dolores (which is not one of the included restaurants of the all-inclusive), we did purchase dinner there one evening. The meal was good (as you would hope in a Michelin star restaurant), but it was not one of the top 5 meals we had at the resort. We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing and it cost $700USD for the 2 of us. Not worth it at all. We got off to a bad start with the meal when our waiter tried to sell us a $200 bottle of wine when we hadn’t even looked at a menu… it was as bad as the timeshare presentations. -- The nightly entertainment was also just fair. The only show we actually attended was the “70’s/80’s music show” and we left about halfway through. Entertainment has been better at several other resorts we have been to. -- We did not do many of the activities the resort offered (we were busy relaxing at the quiet pool), but the bike ride excursion was disappointing. My interpretation of the excursion was that it would be a bike ride in/around Playa Mujeres. What the excursion was, was a (very) leisurely ride… with 3-4 stops along the way for resting/talking. The 60-minute excursion only covered a few miles of actual bike riding. The guides were very nice, but I was expecting a lot more “riding” and a lot less “talking.” -- Nightly turn-down service was very hit-or-miss (as it is for almost every resort we’ve been to). We had our room turned down only about half the nights we were there, even though we went to dinner early at the same time every night. -- We wanted to try a buffet for lunch during our stay, but wasn’t able to find one. We thought Mercado 19 would be open for lunches, but, apparently not. Believe me, the positives far outweighed the negatives at the resort… the property, food, and staff are definitely top-notch. All in all, this is certainly on my “Top 5” list of resorts to come and enjoy. I’m sure we will return.

Lazaro and Alberto were our butlers for the week and they were just phenomenal. Already planning our next return!
- lulujack (6/5): Hotel is five star, the food is vastly below par… - The hotel is beautiful, clean, huge, vast in fact. The rooms, even our lead-in room, were spacious and perfect. The staff are brilliant (esp concierge who go an extra mile to help out), the guys in the cocktail bar deserve gold medals for shaking and quaking that drink, wait staff always professional. A young American set seems to be the predominant guests and they had a terrific time, which is always a joy to see. We enjoyed the cheese and wine tasting - probably because they had better wines on offer than the AI Chilean plonk. However, here’s my gripe: the food was mediocre at best. I guess it’s what the mass American market wants, as efficient as a McDonald’s drive thru’, and about as tasty. Most restaurants - although not all - have food ready to go, it just needs warming through. One restaurant which truly delivered was the steak house - perfect cooking and great staff again. The Italian is a one star restaurant, food there was inedible, and please that buffet restaurant leaves me perspiring just thinking about it! You see, we are a little older (ok, a lot older) than 98% of the guests and I’ve experienced wonderful culinary delights over the years, so tell me the food is good (like most reviewers), I actually have high expectations. Which alas were not realized. I know mass catering is tricky for a gigantic hotel with over 1,000 guests, but from experience, it really can be done if you have chefs who can execute from Scratch. (And as a footnote a warning to smokers: don’t go, the restrictions are VERY tiresome. I know it’s the Mexican Law, but our second hotel was far more accommodating to our bad habit).

All the restaurants easily compare to the better to best restaurants in Chicago or New York. I want to especially mention Ramiro and Elliando, two professional servers at Lo Constantida in building 3. Their attentiveness and helpfulness really made our experience so much better. - mirandadM4992IJ (10/5): Great for a honeymoon! - We just got back from our trip at Atelier for our honeymoon and we had a fantastic time! The rooms are very well appointed, clean, and beautifully designed. All of the staff at this resort are incredibly nice and attentive. We spent most of our time at the beach rather than the pool. The water was amazing. All of the staff at the beach were very nice, specifically Albert and Guadalupe. Our favorite restaurants were Takeshi and El Suspiro. The sushi at takeshi and the ceviche from El Suspiro were some of our favorite dishes. Herbeth from El Suspiro was our favorite waiter!!! We genuinely looked forward to visiting the restaurant to see him. He was always happy and in a good mood, providing a wonderful experience. Bar de la Calle was a really fun vibe and our favorite bar to grab drinks before or after dinner. The bartenders here put on a great performance when making the cocktails and it’s fun to watch. The drinks are also great. Our favorite was the mango margarita. Overall it was a wonderful experience! Only thing I would say is that this is kind of a quiet resort. I’m not sure if we just went during a slow season, but if you’re looking for more of a club vibe in the evening you won’t find it here. They do have a cool “club” style room but the music doesn’t match the vibe and there were hardly any people in there.
- Ep10101010 (10/5): Incredible trip! - We love Atelier! This was our second trip (first in 2023) and it was just as incredible this time. Actually maybe even better as we stayed in an inspira swimout oceanview room this time and the view and pool were spectacular. We requested the same butlers for this trip as we had in 2023 and although one is on maternity leave, Rodolfo and Yareni truly made our trip. Everything about this resort is 10/10. The food is phenomenal and not just by all-inclusive standards. The service is top notch. The design and art is beautiful. It really is such a treat to visit!

- anthonyf383 (10/5): Need to be honest when one writes a review - Sorting through reviews one has to be careful to ensure that they are getting an honest review and not one where a person had a bad experience and wants to denigrate a resort, or those over complimentary and and it is more an advertorial, then an honest review. Here the majority of the one-star reviews were based on the 2023 fire and we were there (second night) and the Staff did a spectacular job given the circumstances. We were evacuated and on the beach/pool at 11:30 pm amd at another resort before noon the following day. Did some people get treated or put up at better places? Yes!!! We are members and we got a lower-end resort (still rated 5-stars here) and nothing close to Atelier. Now we were reimbursed fairly (no better than others), but understand others arriving after the fire or those with weddings it may have been a different matter, but regardless I think they did their best. 3-star reviews I usually am curious about what people took issue with and again we can agree to disagree. I'm here to tell you Atelier still is as great an AI as we've stayed at and continues to excel. I look for signs of aging, and still very minimal. The rooms are as nice as you will find anywhere, the architecture is great, the attention to detail and continued improvement in amenities is evident. The drinks and bars continue to excel and the warmth of all the staff is evident. Food has not fallen off, room service high quality too. All the rstaurants are good, but everyone has a different opinion. No doubt some dishes are better than other for me, but others may feel differently. A few standouts. Wood-oven Pizza Cilento, Fried fish and Octpus at lunch at Suspira, Empenadas and Oysters Rockefellar at Los Abrazos, Mexican night for some Mexican cuisine, a plethora of buffet breakfast choices and a sit down breakfast a Suspra too. I also look at little things, like can they make a good burger (answer is yes). Finally the staff is great, so many to name (and I apologize for not naming more), from those setting up a daybed, to hostesses looking after you at the restaurants, Gisele and Elizabeth serving drinks and smiling ear to ear and the bartenders knowing your drinks and not looking for tips every time you are served, it is the little things. I also ask if they like working at Atelier and the answer is yes (very important to me). Yes our butlers too Surin & Yatzy continually checking in and so sweet to my spouse and adult kids, there is a reason we keep returning. I joke as a member I'm only upset, that everyone is treated the same (yes we have a private beach area, a small pool nearby and the rooftop, but do not get special treatment with restauant reservations or a different level of alcohol), and that is wonderfully. We spent almost every day by the pool and I’m only writing this because when you go there you need to find Helmer’s section. He was the man. I was super surprised that the alcohol selection was as good as it was. You name it, they had it. I came here thinking I would never find something as simple as captain morgan and would have to drink house rum. But they had it and it was flowing the whole trip.

Shout out to Alfonso, our poolside bartender who took care of us so well for 3 days straight. The service and kindness he shared was incredible. The weather , the food and cocktails, and most importantly the service. Our butlers Pingting and Brandon went above and beyond. I forgot a medication and my husband needed one . They immediately were on it and delivered the meds to our beach bed!!!! They are fantastic!!! Also, we met Ernesto at the pool restaurant.. he was a delight and we loved the healthy grilled chicken and salmon we ordered with salads. Rojas the pool concierge delivered us treats on our beach beds everyday !!! And Edwin at the main bar makes the BEST cocktails. We.cant’t wait to come back!
- Jet782847 (10/5): Luxe Relaxing Girl's Trip - We had a fantastic girl's trip at Atelier! It is a beautiful resort with Excellent food and Excellent service! We had a room with a swim out pool that came with the butler service of Martin and Aline. They provided prompt communication, information, insights, suggestions and generally went over and above to make our stay relaxing and comfortable. The service was so conscientious at all of the restaurants and pools it was rare when we had to specifically ask for things to be done. The staff aimed to make us feel at home and welcomed everywhere we went. We found the grounds, rooms, pools and spa to be well maintained. I thought the beds were especially comfortable. The top shelf alcohol in our rooms and high quality snacks - we occasionally had to specifically request them to be replaced. But once mentioned, they were promptly replaced. The variety and quality of the food and drinks were truly impressive, including a Michelin starred restaurant onsite. We all agreed that we would return to this resort if the opportunity presented itself.

Our butlers, Carolina and Cesar, were super helpful and always available, even with our large group of 10 visiting. Our concierge, Marisol, helped us work with our reservations person, Cynthia, to make several adjustments to our rooms and transportation. Daniel, the sommelier at Los Abrazos, was knowledgeable and fun to talk to, and helped us select very tasty wine from Mexico. Other folks were also very helpful, Bernardo, Rajul, Gilda, Uriel at the pool and beach, Oscar at el Suspira, and Octavio (sp) at Los Abrazos. But of course, everyone is always super helpful and friendly. The resort is still in great shape, and it’s super laid back and comfortable. Highly recommended!

With over 8 restaurants and cuisines to choose from, 2 coffee shops with snacks and pastries, high end bars and bartenders, excellent room service, stunning living quarters, a breathtaking beach, great pools, super friendly/professional staff all serving great customer service, endless activities throughout the day and evening…I mean this place is incredible. My fiancé and I met so many great people and had the best time living and breathing the Mexican culture! Atelier sticks true to the Mexican culture, cuisine, and arts which is greatly appreciated and expected when I go on vacation to another country. I could not of been happier going to art class everyday making cool art projects (like a piñata, painting, clay sculpture, etc) that we could bring home! The live music acts at night are a real treat, playing dominos in La Cantina while watching sports games is 🙌, laying out on the day beds at El Cielo under the night sky makes you feel closer to heaven, and attending Mexican night at Mercado 19 are some of the highlights that Atelier offers that you can’t miss! - EmilyMIllinois (10/5): Another Amazing Stay at Atelier - This was my second stay (in January 2025 I went with a girlfriend) and my husband and I can’t wait to go again! We were celebrating our anniversary in October with a 9 day stay and everything was perfect! Our room was in building 3 (the quiet building) and overlooked the water, golf course, and quiet pool. It was always spotless - kudos to the maid service, they do an amazing job! All of the restaurants were excellent with our favorite being Takeshi. Our waiter there, Javier, treated us like family -in a good way, lol- and made us feel very special. Ernesto at Limon Y Sal was terrific, Wendy at Azucar was so lovely and did the best designs in our lattes! But I really have to give a special shout out to Damarys, Juan, and Herare (spelling?) at the pool. They are amazing!!! Damarys was there in January and I was so excited to see her again this October. She and Juan always remembered our names and drink preferences and all three always had a smile on their faces and just brightened our day! We ate at every restaurant including Maria Dolores where we did the tasting menu with wine pairing. The first five courses were delicious but the next two had truffle oil and neither of us liked those. The wines, all Mexican, paired very nicely with the meal. The gym facilities were nice and I finally got to try a rowing machine (thumbs up!). All in all, you can’t go wrong staying here! Having been to many different all inclusives, this is in my top 2.
- fseles (8/5): A nice luxury hotel that did not live up to expectations - First and foremost, this is a large resort so bring comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk a lot. Second, the service at Atelier is impeccable. The entire staff is amazing from a simple “Buenos Dias/Tardes/Noches” to making sure you have everything you need. Incredible. Check In: Process is smooth but long. Add the fact that, after a long day of traveling where you just want to get to your room, someone from the resort is trying to get you to attend the Inspira session. To be honest, we found this annoying and a bit pushy, especially after saying no thank you several times even with free massages as an attendance offering. Room: The room is quite nice and clean. The A/C and ceiling fan work well to keep the room cool. The beds and pillows are comfortable. We were in 2491 (building 2, 4th floor) which over looked the golf course. You could see the ocean wayyyy off in the distance. A little ways to the beach and main pool area but it was close to the lobby (in building 1, 3rd floor) and coffee shop. The mini-bar snacks are ok. Not gluten-free friendly so bring your own if you are Celiac. Also, most “snacks” at the resort are sweet so if you’re looking for salty (chips or pretzels or nuts etc….), again, bring your own. We did not book the Inspira room and quite honestly, our stay was perfectly great. Not worth the over $400usd per night upgrade in my opinion (especially as a Canadian paying 1.45 times that with the exchange). On check-in you will get an in-house website log-in that has some pertinent information. This exclusive website is where you will find information on the restaurants and their menus as well as the dress code. The activities for the day. You can also request room maintenance, and mini bar refills from this site as needed. This is also where you can book your future restaurants. After booking your first three on arrival, you can only book one future day at a time when the calendar opens at midnight. (See dinners below) Wi-fi was really great anywhere you went. I just do not know how it was at the beach but a good strong signal everywhere else. Meals: As a newly diagnosed Celiac, I was concerned about the food options. Obviously choices are limited but I was impressed at how serious they are about GF, vegetarian, lactose-intolerant options. For breakfasts: We went to Mercado and Consentida. Both very good with many buffet options! Consentida had labeling for GF etc… and its own GF bread station and toaster. Mercado 19…wow! So many different things, my husband was in Heaven! For lunches: We either skipped due to late breakfast or we just ordered by the pool (Bikini Azul). Important to note that these are snack sized portions. Dinners: When you first arrive, the concierge will help you book your first three nights of restaurants. NOTE: if you’re looking to eat at the famous, Maria Dolores it’s important to book ahead as there was no space for the 8 days we were there. Mercado 19 was yummy Mexican fare. The red Pozoles soup was so good and flavorful as were the shrimp tacos! Again, keep in mind that portion sizes here are smaller than what most of us are used to. We even went back a second night! El Suspiro (Mexiterranean & Lobster) was sold to us by our arrival concierge as a very good seafood restaurant. It’s by the beach and it was a beautiful evening with a nice breeze. Despite this and many positive reviews, it was actually our least favorite. Takeshi (Asian) was one of our favorites. The food, the service…awesome! Went back a second time! The fried rice & shrimp and the Chicken Tikka Masala were yum!! My husband loved the Thai Cashu saying it was addictive. Los Abrazos (steakhouse) - It has a ton of great reviews and is difficult to get into but personally we found this one to be a little overrated. It’s located on the top floor of building 2 so the views are incredible just outside of the restaurant. The margaritas we had were not the best we have had. The salad bar was nice with many options although not certain about the dressings for people with Celiac. The beef carpaccio was good. My husband and I both ordered the 14oz NY strip that came with a very small baked potato and a small quarter corn on the cob. We maybe got 6-7oz of meat off of the steak and a spoonful of corn. For dessert, no options for Celiac due to CC. Cilento (Italian) - I had the Pork Confit which was a little salty but quite good and tasty. My husband chose the Caesar Salad as an appetizer. He said it tasted nothing like a Caesar Salad. As an entrée he had the slow cooked beef rib. Now anything slow cooked usually means tender and fall off the bone but te beef was chewier than a rubber sole. Beach/Pools: The sand is nice and there are many places to sit. The beach is a hop, skip and a jump from the main pool, which is a bit more active and noisier than the relaxing pool where we spent all of our time. The relaxing pool is located off of the 1st floor of building 3. The beach is off the 1st floor of building 2 all the way at the end. They are generous with pool towels and will help you set up your umbrella. And no worries, there is always a bar attendant checking to see if you need drink or food! Tipping: I recommend that you bring small US bills, ones and fives, OR Mexican pesos for tips. Tips ARE included in the total cost however this is shared amongst all of the hotel’s employees so if there are specific people who stand out to you, they are very appreciative of the extra personalized tip.

Everything was top notch: Food: we were able to get into every restaurant we wanted. Takeshi (asian) was our fav. Get the pad thai - best pad thai of my life. Drinks: every bar and restaurant could make any specialty cocktail you wanted. The liquor was not watered down. Their house wine was good too - no need to buy bottles Service: everyone that we encountered was very professional and well trained. They were nice, fast and wanted to make sure you had a good time. Shout out to Guadalupe by the pool. She was our favorite on the trip. She was super sweet and kept our pool cocktails full. Rooms: We were originally in an ocean view room in building 1, above the reception. We had a "party suite" above us and you could hear people dragging chairs and tables all night long. After two nights, we asked to be moved. The staff was excellent and moved us to a swim out room in building 2 at no charge. It was fantastic. Pool: we didn't have any issues getting pool chairs but if you want the double pool beds, you had to get them by 8am. People played the towel game, but it wasn't ever too bad. Beach: they clean the seaweed off the beach every morning. They have a dozen thatched huts and about 2 dozen chairs by the beach. Beach wasn't ever crowded due to the water being a tad rough. But beautiful and definitely an option.
- S2217XIjustinc (10/5): Great food, great pools, great times! - We absolutely love Atelier for our vacations. This was our 3rd trip and our first time booking an Inspira room. It's a big jump in price, but honestly, our butlers, Alexis and Domingo, made it worth it. They were able to start making restaurant reservations for us before we even arrived, which made a huge difference, and they were incredibly proactive in making sure every one of our needs were met. Prior to arriving they even asked our favorite liquor and had a bottle of Patron waiting for us in the room when we checked in! It was incredible. Outside of the Inspira benefits, the food at this resort is head and shoulders above the other all-inclusives that I've visited. Even lunch, which is typically the weakest meal at these places, is delicious... especially if you go to Bikini Azul and have Gerardo as your server. Cannot recommend this resort highly enough. Worth the price in every way!

Our room was really nice. We had wanted to get the room option that came with a butler, but they were completely sold out even without the butler. Our room was amazing. We had maid service every day and turndown service every night. The food offerings are broad and there’s something for everyone personally, I just loved the coffee. The coffee was amazing and ruined me for anything else. Overall, I found the service to be beyond expectations if I could rate it higher than a 10 I would I highly recommend this resort. Can’t wait to go again.

Getting There & First Impressions We booked the resort’s transportation from the airport, and it immediately set the tone. A quick pro tip: grab a jumbo mango margarita from Margaritaville right outside the terminal—they’re delicious! Our driver, Jonathan, was hilarious, the car was spotless, and we felt completely safe the entire drive. Every security checkpoint and handoff felt organized and trustworthy. Upon arrival, we were escorted to the Inspira Lounge, where we were greeted with drinks, snacks, and warm hospitality. It was the perfect introduction to vacation mode. 2. Our Suite & Pool Time We stayed in the King Swim Out Suite—and wow, was it worth it. The private swim-out patio made the room feel like our own little oasis. Everything was clean, modern, and beautifully designed. The resort has multiple pools, but the Cielo rooftop pool and the main pool became our favorites. Even on busy days, everything felt calm and well managed. Eating lunch from our cabana, without ever feeling rushed, became one of our favorite daily rituals. 3. Dining Highlights The food at Atelier was outstanding. Every restaurant had its own personality, and the quality and service were consistently impressive. Maria Dolores: A definite splurge, but absolutely worth it for a true fine dining experience. The cocktails and the Fideo were exceptional. (Not included in the all-inclusive.) Mercado 19: Our morning staple. Fresh fruit, eggs made to order, American and Mexican options, and the BEST Café de Olla (clay-pot coffee with cinnamon and cloves). They also have a make-your-own Bloody Mary, Martini, and Mimosa cart. Breakfast heaven. Los Abrazos: My number one favorite. The ribeye and New York strip were some of the best we’ve ever had. If I could’ve eaten there every night, I would have. (Included in the all-inclusive!) 4. Activities & Daily Moments Atelier offers so many activities that I wish I had more hours in the day. I attended the 7 am sunrise stretch class with ARTURO every morning on the Cielo rooftop—easily one of the highlights of my trip. The combination of the sunrise, perfect music, and gentle stretches felt like a form of therapy. I also did water aerobics (fun and surprisingly challenging), and we both enjoyed painting with wine and playing Lotería. The gym deserves its own shout-out: bright natural light, perfect temperature, cold eucalyptus towels, and top-notch machines. They offer spin, TRX, and mat Pilates. I went every day! 5. The Staff: The Heart of the Experience The property is gorgeous, but the staff is truly what makes Atelier exceptional. Nearly everyone greets you with a hand over the heart—such a genuine gesture that made me feel cared for in a way I’ve never felt at another resort. - Our Butlers: Yareni & Rodolfo These two made our entire stay unforgettable. They arranged reservations, kept our champagne stocked, helped me track down the Alebrije I wanted (Yareni even went to the market on her day off and delivered it to Rodolfo’s house!), and planned the most thoughtful birthday surprise. Their attention to detail was unreal. - Pool Team Alberto at the main pool was phenomenal—attentive, cheerful, and full of great energy. He even taught us jokes in Spanish and kindly spoke slowly so I could practice. Evol and Uriel, the concierges, somehow always knew when we needed towels, sunscreen, or a place to relax. At Cielo, Gisell took wonderful care of us, always arriving at the perfect moment with food or drinks. - Gym & Activities Staff - Arturo (stretch + Pilates) was incredible—peaceful, encouraging, and skilled. His classes were some of my favorite moments of the trip. - Carlos (aqua aerobics, painting with wine, Lotería) brought great energy and friendliness to every activity. Their kindness is a huge part of why the resort feels so special. 6. Final Thoughts Atelier Playa Mujeres exceeded every expectation we had. The resort is stunning, the food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is peaceful and luxurious—but the staff is what truly makes it unforgettable. We left feeling cared for, refreshed, and already dreaming about our next visit. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Spent good time with Carlos, Jonathan (and his dancing teammate), Brian, (and etc. who I even cannot remember their names) from Entertainment as well as all other teams! Activities throughout the day. And the food is good too, recommend dinner from Cilento the Italian restaurant, and breakfast from Alba which is right across the gym. They have activities planned for rainy days as well. Will definitely come back!

From the moment we landed in Cancun to the moment we left the resort, everything was seamless, relaxing, and genuinely special. Arrival / Check-In We arranged an airport pickup through the resort and it was incredibly smooth. The additional gated security checkpoints on the way made us feel extremely safe and cared for. Upon arrival, we were escorted to the Inspira Lounge, where we were welcomed with unlimited refreshments and cocktails while waiting for our room. Room / Pools We stayed in the King Swim Out Suite, which was worth every penny of the upgrade. There are several pools on this property, but we spent most of our time rotating between the Cielo rooftop pool and the main pool. Lunch menus were provided so we were able to eat by the pools as well. Restaurants We were blown away by the food and drink options. A few highlights: - Maria Dolores - Truly fine dining. Incredible cocktails and excellent food and service. The Fideo paired with Mexican wine was my favorite. Note that this restaurant you will have to pay for, but it's worth it. - Mercado 19 - We visited this spot every morning for all you can eat breakfast and the service and food were fantastic. They have American and Mexican options with the best coffee I've ever had, Cafe de Olla, which is brewed in a clay pot with cinnamon, cloves, and piloncillo. - Los Abrazos - My FAVORITE restaurant on the property. It's a steakhouse, and I could've eaten there every night of our stay. Absolutely terrific. Activities / Experiences Atelier provided so many opportunities to make memories throughout our stay. My wife attended the 7am sunrise stretch at Cielo every morning, and she absolutely loved it. She also participated in the water aerobics which was a lot of fun and surprisingly tough. We both enjoyed painting with wine and playing Loteria. Exceptional Service This resort is gorgeous, and there's no debating that, but the people are what make Atelier a truly unforgettable experience. Each person we interacted with treated us with genuine kindness. One thing we noticed and loved is how staff members place their right hand of their heart when greeting you. That small gesture unexpectedly made us feel even more cared for. The staff members who took care of us on a daily basis cannot go without mentioning. - Butlers - Yareni and Rodolfo Both were absolutely outstanding. They consistently went above and beyond, whether organizing dinner reservations for us, refilling our complimentary champagne ice bucket, or organizing a birthday celebration for my wife. They made our entire stay feel special. - Pool Staff At the main pool, Alberto was our server, and he was hands down one of the best servers we've ever had. Also at the main pool, Evol and Uriel, the pool concierges, always made sure we had somewhere to relax with plenty of towels and sunscreen. When spending time at the Cielo rooftop pool, Gisell always made sure we weren't thirsty or hungry. She was great. Final Thoughts Atelier without a doubt exceeded every expectation we had. The resort is beautiful, the food is phenomenal, and the atmosphere is peaceful and luxurious. It's the people though, who truly set this place apart from any other resort we've been to. We left feeling incredibly grateful, and we're already discussing when we'll return.

EVEN IF NOT A PERFECT FIT FOR US - After visiting other resorts in Playa Mujeres many times, we decided to give Atelier a try, mostly because we heard the food was a cut above other AI resorts in the area. The rumors were absolutely true. The food at Atelier was wonderful. The grounds were meticulously well kept. The room was spacious. The amenities were modern, comfortable, and everything worked well. The resort is huge. Because the beach frontage is narrow, the resort is super deep and five stories high. Walking from one end of the (3 connected) building(s) to the other takes twenty minutes if you don’t get lost. Add bonus minutes if you do. The restaurants are spread throughout the resort. Some of the floors don’t go through the whole length of the resort so it often felt like a puzzle to find which elevators lead to the right section of the floor we needed to find. Because space had to be used efficiently, with limited space for outside grounds, the property had a corporate feel. We got high end shopping mall vibes. We spent most of our time between a beach cabana and our swim out pool. There are 17 beach cabanas for the whole resort, so you have to get out early to snag one. Our swim out offered privacy, which my husband loved. While the privacy was nice, I prefer a swim up with a little more connection to the rest of the property. There was no food/drink service at the swim ups. (We were in Room 2130. Some of the swim ups in other locations were more connected to their surroundings.) While we could (and sometimes did) make our own dinner reservations, our butlers were very attentive in arranging dinner reservations for us. We didn’t need them often, but they were always available without ever being intrusive (via Whats App). A shout out to Alberto Garrida and Lazaro Morales for staying in touch and making sure we were well taken care of. As good as the dining at Atelier was, there were also some nice lunch surprises and options. The chicken skewers and the moussaka at Limon y Sal were delicious. Chatting with Ernesto (Santiago) after our late lunch was an added treat. He was not only an attentive waiter, but engaging and warm as well. Bonus points to Ernesto for indulging my imperfect Spanish, and allowing me to practice a bit with him. So, the bottom line for us is that the resort is pretty perfect. The food is a highlight. The services is top notch. That said, the overall feel was more corporate than tropical, and more enclosed indoors than we prefer.
- Venture63732811703 (10/5): Exceptional Experience at Atelier. I will go back! - Amazing trip with friends at the Atelier a few weeks ago. The resort was exceptionally nice, the pools were very clean, and the beverages were high quality. I was very impressed with their selection of top shelf liquor. Also, the food was top notch. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning and a new restaurant each evening. My friends and I typically enjoyed lunch by the pool! Another important callout is how amazing their staff was. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure you were taken care of. Specifically, Elian (often at the pool or El Deseo) was very friends. He frequently checked in on my friends and I. Also, he even came to stay goodbye to us on our last day at the resort. I will absolutely go back to this resort!

We especially enjoyed the work of the arts and experiences team (shout out to Jonathan, Andrea, and Carlos!) and the fitness classes by Olga and Arturo.
- 110kierap (10/5): Alberto Mis from the pool deck!!! - Our experience was nothing more than incredible due to amazing staff. Honorable mention to Alberto Mis; who has for a second time (also went last year) made our trip endlessly wonderful. His contagious energy and humor, as well as his passion for ensuring we are always well taken care of is what will bring us back next time. Last year, we felt the same.. This staff member would be enough of a reason for us to come back time and time again. He is incredibly kind and patient, and we witnessed some incredibly rude groups that he handled with ease, patience, and the same kindness as everyone else. Highly reccomend to head to the main pool and ask directly to have him take care of you. You will not regret it. Atelier is very lucky to have him.

- A9879RMmattk (10/5): First time but not the last - Our experience at Atelier was really spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we felt catered to and taken care of. The food and drink were all head and shoulders above any other all inclusive experience we’ve had so far. Our butlers Brandon and Pingting really capped off the experience by providing a daily rundown of activities, help in booking the restaurants, and any other needs wr had during our stay.
- Michellebell13 (10/5): Amazing luxurious all inclusive! - Amazing all inclusive! People were right when they said to come here for the food. All inclusives can be lacking at times with food but not Atelier. All the restaurants had great food and variety….the only one you have to pay for was the Michelin star restaurant, Maria Dolores, which we 100% recommend to try. The property is gorgeous and clean, views are amazing, the service is top notch. It’s spread perfectly and doesn’t feel crowded. We went for our baby moon and even though drinking wasn’t an option, they had so many mocktails on all the menus that were all a little different. We had the Inspira level service which is amazing as you get your own butler. I was craving Dr. Pepper which they didn’t have and our butler went and bought it from outside the resort on his day off. Cesar and Carolina were the best and very attentive. They put out special non-alcoholic wine and decorated our tub with rose petals to celebrate. The room attendants were very attentive as well. Always organizing your things, cleaning, turning down beds, making sure the room was perfect for anytime you returned. Very classy, relaxing all inclusive. This isn’t a party spot but that was perfect for us as we wanted a high end experience. They had a good amount of things to do and some night life which was just right. 10/10 highly recommend and we will be back!

We will request them when we come back - they thought of everything!! The food was amazing, ALL of the staff were wonderful and the location and general atmosphere was beyond our expectations. Worth every penny and we can’t wait to go back.
- JFDTravels (10/5): Exceptional Experience - This is our second trip to Atelier Playa Mujeres and it was a wonderful experience. This is a place you will want to keep coming back because everyone makes you feel welcomed and becomes a home away from home. We would like to give a special mention to all of the individuals we encountered and made our trip special. Erikka, Hiram and Carolina in Concierge thank you for your support. Luis and Stephan in sales you guys rock. Alejandro in the pool areas was extremely helpful ensuring we were able to enjoy our trip he is truly amazing. For the restaurants we would like to give special mention to El Suspiro Job, Omar, Victor, chef Kevin and Emily and the entire breakfast and lunch team. For the dinner team at El Suspiro Fernando is incredible! We also found Juan at La Consentida for breakfast he provided out standing service. As for the bars, Daniel is a special kind of bartender who caters to the customers preferences. He is truly fantastic! Although we named a few by name, we would also like to point out that everyone is very good and helpful with a great attitude. There is a special kind of positive vibe that makes you feel welcomed.
- meganlW612CL (6/5): Beautiful Resort & Amazing Staff, but the Actual Experience Falls Far Short - We just returned from our stay, and while there are things this resort gets right, especially the food and the wonderful staff, the overall experience didn’t come close to the luxury impression the resort advertises and appears to be hit or miss. Biggest issues: Scorpion found in our room - On our last evening, while packing, we found a scorpion in the middle of our room. Not near a door/corner, but in the center scurrying across (near the desk and bathroom door/curtain). As far as we can tell, this resort turns off all the lights and doesn’t have any night staff each evening, so the capture and release (which we did outside very far from the main lobby) was our problem to manage. As we walked the scorpion on the 10 minute trek from building 3 to the main lobby and down the drive around 11:30pm EST on Friday evening, we did not encounter a single employee. This was unsettling and not enjoyable. Constant construction & repairs - There was ongoing construction and repairs throughout the property during our stay. Drilling, hammering, and maintenance noise became part of the daily backdrop at the pool and in the hallways, which really undermines any sense of relaxation. None of this was communicated in advance or on arrival. Zero sound insulation / no chance at sleep - The biggest disappointment was the complete lack of sound insulation. We specifically chose an adults only non-party resort yet the nightclub is open until 3am and every night our neighbors came back at 2am loudly talking, yelling, slamming doors, and arguing until 4am. We heard every conversation, every fight, every laugh when they made up. Noise complaints went ignored each night on the app concierge and calls to the desk just rang (because again there’s no night staff to be found). It’s impossible to relax when the walls are paper thin. Los Abrazos - We went to Los Abrazos because so many travelers and the staff raved about it. We got a literal rave. We were seated during a full wedding reception happening directly beside and bleeding into the restaurant. The music was at nightclub volume with strobe lights. We couldn’t hear each other at the table. Wedding guests wandered drunkenly through the restaurant like it was part of the dance floor. The night ended with the wedding party chanting an explicit phrase (“suck his d**k”) during Mr. Brightside loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear. It was wildly inappropriate for everyone involved, for the couple whose wedding felt like it was being watched through a fishbowl, and for paying resort guests who got blindsided by a steakhouse-turned-club environment. There was no warning, no alternative seating, and no sound barrier. For a restaurant marketed as a highlight of the property, serving dinner in nightclub conditions was shocking. There needed to be, at a minimum, a notice on the app when dinner was being booked regarding the conditions for that evening, so everyone had an opportunity to make a decision on whether or not they wanted to sit through that. To be fair, the food throughout the resort was genuinely excellent and the staff was consistently kind, warm, and attentive, they were the best part of the resort. The property itself looks beautiful and is kept clean. However, I felt this resort delivers “perceived luxury” more than actual luxury. There were too many issues that directly impacted comfort, rest, and the ability to enjoy the experience we paid for.
- Alexdv (10/5): Back in paradise - This is our second trip to Atelier and this was just as good as the first. The place is exceptionally clean & well maintained. Rooms are beyond spacious. Staying in Insprira suites obviously means some additional amenities that are well worth it. The butler service and the privacy of suites are worth their weight in gold. The food at this resort is beyond anything I’ve experienced at any other all-inclusive. Obviously the food at Maria Dolores is renowned, but all of their restaurants are exceptional. Tekashi was insanely good with fresh ingredients. The filet at the steakhouse rivals anything you would get at an old-school chophouse in the States. The thing that makes this place truly special though is the people and the hospitality. Everyone you encounter has a smile and they go out of their way to ensure you are being well taken care of. The bartenders are all highly trained mixologists. They will literally make you anything you can think of or they will create something magical from your favorite spirits. They are all great but Alberto, Pedro and.Russbelt at El Cielo bar and Daniel in the lobby bar are absolutely spectacular. Besides their talent, their smiles go such a long way in making you feel welcome. This place should certainly be on your bucket list of places for a restful or adventure filled weekend with your significant other!!!
- montanai767 (10/5): Birthday getaway - Our stay at Atelier Playa Mujeres was absolutely incredible! The grounds were truly beautiful—perfectly maintained, lush, and stunning in every direction. Everything throughout the resort was spotless, and the décor and overall style were modern, elegant, and genuinely impressive. It felt luxurious in every way and was definitely worth every penny. A special shout-out to Carlos from the entertainment team! He was amazing and brought so much energy and fun to every activity. He has a great way of getting everyone involved and making sure everyone is having a good time. The water volleyball games were a highlight of our trip thanks to him—so much laughter and such a great vibe. Highly recommend this resort, and we can’t wait to come back!

The resort is stunning and clean, the staff are incredibly nice and welcoming, and the food was phenomenal. The experience team (Jonathan, Ethan, Carlos, and Bryan) were great and had fun activities throughout the week, including Spanish classes, water aerobics, a bike experience and several art and painting classes that we really enjoyed. All the restaurants had fresh food that was delicious. Special thank you to David, Jesus, Placido, Alfonso, Adalina, and Erik for their exceptional service. We will be back as this resort is a 10/10

I can’t rave enough—the food, the room, the staff, the activities, the pools, the design, the drinks… everything was top-notch. I honestly wish I could remember every staff member’s name because so many people made our stay exceptional. I jumped into many of the activities—highly recommend! Sunrise stretching will live on in my dreams, and beach volleyball was a sun drenched must. Elian, Danny, Carlos, Mari, and the whole activities team made every day even more enjoyable. Their energy and camaraderie were contagious. We had a fabulous time, and I already can’t wait to go back!

They were very thoughtful, very caring, and went above and beyond. Even while we were filling our plates at the Buffett, they would come alongside of us and take our plates when they were full and would bring them to our table. They were all outstanding. Julio was a very caring waiter, who not only showed a great level of care for us as guests, but also for the rest of his team that he was working with. They made the experience so great. Would love to return again.

Jonathan and Carlos work in the activities and entertainment, and they made everyday so much fun! We loved the Aqua Fit class with Jonathan! We can’t wait to come back again soon!!!!
