Guest Reviews
- Tina (10/5): - Great stay. Staff all very helpful and friendly
- Fleur (8/5): - Beautiful location! Loved all the local wildlife, the great glamping option and the tranquility. We will definitely be back!
The only drawback was the showers near our tents - the water pressure was next to nothing (literally a trickle of water) but we did find the other bathrooms near reception, much better and walked there instead.
- Jose Walter (10/5): - I love it when I woke up there are lots of Kangaroo and different kind of birds around our tent and our tent is overlooking the lake.
- Nick (10/5): - Very well equipped and a wonderful setting.
- Jamie (8/5): - No heating in tent and not enough blankets
- Daniel (10/5): - It was an amazing place to stay, highly recommend, beautiful an peaceful
- Amanda (10/5): A Must Do! - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Habitat Noosa! I will highly recommend my friends and family to stay here.
- Nadine (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at Habitat Noosa! Everything was perfect—the amenities were great, and having our own bathroom in the tent was such a bonus. The bed was super comfortable, and we loved sitting out on the deck watching the birds and kangaroos.
Before coming, we read one really bad review and honestly couldn’t believe how wrong it was (though, of course, everyone has their own experiences). The internet worked perfectly for us—we were even able to stream films in our tent! It was a bit hot, but that’s expected when camping in summer, and the fan made a big difference.
The staff were all so lovely, and it was the perfect two-night stay—though we wish we could have stayed longer! Genuinely a 5/5 location and experience. Highly recommend!
- Mitchell (10/5): - Relaxing great place to stay
- Faoziyah (10/5): - Perfect 4 day getaway. Facilities were pretty good for a mixed camping/glamping site. Our glamping tent was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The onsite restaurant came in very handy. Sunrise by the lake was spectacular. I will definately visit again.
- Nathan (4/5): - The site is miles away from Noosa and in a national park. The tent is literally that, a tent which is crammed with an uncomfortable double bed and bunk beds. The site has a shower/toilet facility however the showers have poor water pressure (literally a dribble) additionally there is no “playgrounds” or things of that nature to keep children occupied. WiFi is available however lucky to be able to check facebook/emails - trying to stream anything - good luck!!
- Kirstin (8/5): - Glamping tents were great, personal choice I wouldn’t come back in summer again, but would definitely stay again, water activities are great, our family had fun here.
- Simone (10/5): - We've both camped and glamped at Habitat Noosa, and both times were great.
The campgrounds are clean and well-kept and allow noninvasive interactions with the wildlife, which is amazing.
The glamping tent was a great experience; it was practical enough to ensure a comfortable stay but still rustic enough to give you that camping feeling.
The campgrounds are family-friendly.
We found other campers to be respectful of each other and haven't encountered any negative behaviour during our stays.
The lake is nice to swim in; the shallow water made it feel safe for our kids to swim in, plus it was also great for kayaking and canoeing.
The cell reception and wifi are very poor, but that's not an issue if you don't need it (we didn't).
The restaurant is very expensive for what it is, but it's to be expected since it is the only restaurant there, and it's Noosa.
We will book again; this place is a family favourite.
- Janette (10/5): - Beautiful sunrises with kangaroos hopping across the water. We had a wonderful glamping experience waking up to kangaroos outside the tent every morning.
- Damian (10/5): - We stayed in one of the glamping tents and had a fantastic time, despite the weather not being very pleasant. We were able to park the car close to our accommodation, which made everything very convenient. We could also walk our standup paddle boards to the water very easily from our accommodation. Great location!
- Shanshan (10/5): - Very unique experience, me and my kids all spend a wonderful time there.
- Jordan (8/5): - The area is so beautiful and everything you need is there already.. we had a great time with the kids playing in the water and doing the everglades serenity tour.. All staff were super friendly also. Would only suggest a childrens playground, and eliminating the mould from the ensuite tent.
- Ozden (10/5): - Like it
- Amanda (10/5): - Beautiful location.
- Fernando (10/5): - Super quiet and beautiful sky
- Danish (2/5): - Pathetic, extremely dirty kitchens, Spider webs in the rooms, reception staff busy using mobile phone, make excuses if need any sort of assistance, extremely cold in the night no heater and no power socket inside the room. If going with kids don't go.
- Colleen (10/5): - Coming from the USA, we had never seen a kangaroo outside of a zoo. This place was AMAZING!! It surpassed every expectation we had, the bed was comfortable, everyone was very nice, and watching the kangaroos in the evening and mornings is something we will never forget!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Glamping but not in style - Check in times are not 2pm like hotels.com advises, its 3pm if you are staying in the glamping tents, and 2pm all other camping styles.
Duct tape used to secure the screen door, and not clean properly with pizza box and water bottle left under the main bed from whomever used the room last.
- Glen (8/5): - Stayed for a couple of nights in Paperbark Glamping Tents, family of 4.
Kids loves the kangaroos! Awesome grounds, extremely well kept!
Restaurant on site is a massive plus - food is ok (expect Pub Meal), and good bar on site with Gelato Bar for the kids.
Area is good - way out of the rat race. Great place to base yourself and explore Noosa Northshore by 4WD.
The lake is good for toddlers (ankle deep forever…..) not ideal for a swim due to shallow depths (think canoe / paddle boards)
Would I stay again? Yes. The Glamping tents are fantastic!
- Louise (10/5): - We enjoyed two nights with our toddler in a wilderness tent. It was great value for money and our little one enjoyed watching the wildlife especially the Kangaroos. Options to suit every budget from camping sites to glamping tents.
- Nicola (8/5): - The showers were appaling. No pressure and this really needs fixing as customers expect better when glamping.
The fish and chips looked amazing, but the fish was off. The restaurant did not agree to reimburse this and that was disappointing and again unexpected from such a restaurant.
- Melinda (10/5): - Beautiful place to spend time at!
- Tessa (10/5): - Our family of 4 had a fantastic time staying in one of the Wilderness Safari Tents. The room was comfortable and clean. Sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise and seeing the animals close by was spectacular. The property staff were all lovely. Checking in and out was easy. Amenities clean, plenty of walking tracks, tables, lake side beach front to view the sunrise, activities and camp kitchens. We stayed Tues-Sat off peak and it was exceptionally quiet up until Friday night when the weekend campers arrived which is perfectly okay. If youre chasing quiet, weekdays are best, if you crave a community feel with music then weekends are best. The restaurant was lovely with plenty of warmth from the internal fireplace or outside heaters. And we also enjoyed sitting around our own individual fire pit near our tent. Thank you for a great family trip.
- Kylie (10/5): - We had a wonderful time at Habitat Noosa. The Paperbark Wilderness Tent was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The food at the Bar and Bistro was delicious and the staff were very accommodating. We highly recommend Habitat Noosa!
- Sathya Narayanan (10/5): - Excellent campaign location near river- Glamping units are awesome and staffs and restaurants excellent- will come back and recommend to anyone
- Chao Yang (10/5): - Excellent glamping experience with modern facilities. In house wild kangaroos! Very comfortable.
- Mike (8/5): - On site restaurant and brewery was great!😀
- Cassandra (6/5): - In both styles in glamping tents, there are no facilities to cook, not even a microwave. Room also had no way to eat meals of a night time, table and chairs outside but no lights too slow eating a meal.
1 microwave available on grounds in camp kitchen. Camp kitchen not equipped with tables and chairs. Disappointing facilities set up.
Bistro food was quite good.
- Gregory (8/5): Pleasant stay - We had a 2 night stay. First go at glamping. Quite cold at night however we bought a heater with us so managed ok. We didn't realise we had to buy the firewood for the firepit. It may have been on the website but i didn't see it, anyhow that was disappointing as we weren't prepared to buy 20kg of firewood.Restaurant meals quite expensive ($43 steaks) but food good quality as well as quantity. Gravel road into resort very rough. Otherwise, a pleasant stay quiet and relaxing
- Jasmine (10/5): - It was clean and good
- Christine (10/5): - Glamp tents are very clean, comfy beds..
pub food and service is great. Just wish they had breakfast service in the mornings. Live music was fantastic, on the evenings when there’s no live music, would be good if the music was louder on the speakers so we can hear outside whilst dining... All staff were very friendly. During day would be good if there were some arranged games , maybe volleyball nets ? Or climbing jungle gym area for small children? Fire pits are awesome. The stools around the circle pit at the pub should be removed- kids continue to climb on them, quite dangerous... maybe put some outside toys at the pub so parents can dine and kids play - camp grounds are right near the lake - great family holiday location.. shared laundry facilities etc- very handy
- Melanie (6/5): - .
- Kurt (4/5): - It would have been nice if we weren’t located 10m from the amenities block which smelled luck sewer the whole time. Also the beds were not made and were dirty and when I asked for new sheets I was given attitude like I was an inconvenience and told no cleaners were available so I would have to make the best my self. We also needed to sweep the room as it was covered with sand and dirt.
And all this for over $250 a night in a supposedly Glamping tent
- RAYMOND (8/5): - Need more trees in the clamping area
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely weekend away - Such a lovely spot, great for kids and well maintained facilities.
- Chris (4/5): Don't go in school holidays - Glamping tents had no view just surrounded by other tents.
End of school holidays so lots of kids that were very noisy as soon as the sun came up they were all out making the mornings unpleasant.
Their parents probably got to sleep in because they were all running around other people's tents, very frustrating. Parking was allocated but that didn't stop people parking in your bay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Unfortunately our stay didn't get off to a great start. The lady that "welcomed" us at reception was blunt and rude, and tried to rush us off as there was a long check in line, due to the long weekend.
The Wilderness tent was very basic, no double bed as pictured, it was a double with a single bunk on top. The roller blind was slso broken with no cord to pull it down for privacy.
The Wilderness tents are located right next to the carpark, which meant all throughout the night you could hear cars coming and going. Lots of vistors come to the restaurant and bar that dont stay there. The staff then started arriving for work at 5.30am with their radios blaring, again parking right outside the tent.
Dispite no music being allowed they had a live band playing at night, maybe because it was the public holiday, and other people also had music with the base pumping into the early hours, and this was not managed. It certainty was not the peaceful back to nature stsy I had pictured.
The toilet block and camp kitchen were both of a good standard.
The place itself is absolutely beautiful, lots of fun to be had bush walking or doing watersports.
If your looking for a quite getaway in nature I'd avoid this place. If you looking for a party campsite then this is the place for you!
- Janet (10/5): Birthday visit - Lovely location, excellent bistro. A really peaceful stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Such a beautiful tranquil place to stay surrounded by nature & wildlife. I didn’t stop smiling from the moment I arrived. Highly recommend
- julie (8/5): Lake Cootharaba - Tents without ensuite are shaded but the ensuite tents can be hot with no trees in sight. Pleasant huge lake with shallow water.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Chillaxed camp feeling in a luxury, spacious tent. I believe the photos on website are deceiving though, you're not really in-between the trees as expected. Car park right beside us, could here the cars moving through, so didnt feel like in the wilderness as described. Lovely they had a restaurant in centre of the camps, delicious food, however, could have catered better for kids.
- Niroshan (10/5): - Great nature experience with the location in the midst of the woods and lake right beside..
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely place to get away with kid, paperbark tent is a good choice for toddler and relaxing for parents too
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful part of the world - This was my second stay at Habitat Noosa. It’s such a great family site and has everything you could need. Beautiful natural grounds and 20 min drive to Noosa Heads if you feel like a surf beach trip!
- Michael (10/5): Amazing location, amazing accommodation! - Amazing location, amazing accommodation. The facilities were fantastic, tent was comfortable and clean, staff were friendly and restaurant delicious! My family and I had a fantastic time!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Kids had fun, comfort & staff we’re “o.k”. - Kids loved it & had fun, thats the main reason we went there.
Check in lady claimed that Hotels.com hadn’t paid them & we had to pay again. Was hard to sort out because of no internet connection but eventually we worked it out & proved that we had already paid.
Showers always hot, toilets good however camp kitchen near the wilderness tents was very poor condition.
Wilderness tents were nice but cold at night, really cold!! Site said linen supplied so we didn’t bring sleeping bags, big mistake!
Forest, ever glades & lake were beautiful. We had fun hiring kayaks.
Closest shops 30min drive away.
Will would visit again but be better prepared.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff in reception is wonderful and helpful. And they were willing
- Chloe (8/5): - Beautiful place. Staff were quite lovely but poor with communication in regard to our stay and with the restaurant (bookings). Overall it was a lovely place to stay and spend time with family. All other residents really lovely as well!
- Chene (10/5): - Was a real Aussie Experience and very friendly staff and clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We only booked for one night in a standard glamping tent as we had a wedding to attend on Noosa North Shore. Due to conflicting times with check in and the wedding starting, we called to ask if we could check in earlier and were told that it was completely fine and that they’d even upgraded us to a tent with an en-suite. We were so appreciative and stunned at such a wonderful gesture. We loved our stay and regret not booking more nights there. We will definitely be back.
