• Valerie (10/5): Charming Italian Apartment. - We were a group of 6 women in our 40s-60s. This apartment felt like a home! It was spacious and charming. The bathrooms were huge--one even had a tub. I can't remember how it was advertised but there is a powder bathroom on the lower level which was really nice to have as we only anticipated having 2. The host was very helpful and provided good information at key transfer. They were very quick to answer any questions we had. Location is somewhat relative based upon where you will be spending most of your time and your ability/desire to walk. While it was close pretty close to the Duomo, the walk to the train station took some time. The location was quiet (even though we were close to the Santa Croce). They let us check out a little later that normal which was greatly appreciated and something we did not find at any of our other Italian apartments. The "balcony" is a stretch. It is on the roof on platform that will hold no more than two people (if that). The banister is really shaky. The view is amazing, but it isn't a place we took advantage of because of the size. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs which can be a challenge with heavy luggage. 3 out of 4 opted to leave our luggage downstairs and only take up what we needed. The washer/dryer is right outside the apartment and is shared with others.

The apartment is in a beautiful building and has an authentic Italian flair – a bit shabby, but the bathrooms and the kitchen were perfectly clean. The terase was a bit of a disappointment – the view from it was in fact beautiful, but it was not suitable enough for spending pleasant time there.

• Sylvie (10/5): Séjour ensoleillé, logement vraiment à réserver car tout y était parfait - L'organisation est parfaite. On reçoit l'adresse deux ou trois jours avant l'arrivée. Cette année, à l'arrivée, nous attendait un jeune homme pour nous montrer l'appartement et prendre copie des passeport. Il nous a expliqué comment fonctionnait l'appartement mais on connaissait déjà. Il restait joignable toute la durée de notre séjour. comme d'habitude, très bien situé. On visite la ville à pied. Grand avantage car voiture interdite en ville de 7h30 à 20h. Appartement spacieux, propre et calme, sauf claquement de la porte quand des gens entraient dans le couloir. Mais RAS concernant la nuit. Il y a un jeu avec la porte qui fait qu'elle bouge quand les voisins arrivent dans le couloir. Désagréable mais ils sont comme nous : des touristes. Honnêtement, dès qu'ils étaient entrés dans leur appartement, tout rentrait dans l'ordre. Donc 2 secondes de désagrément. SDB parfaites. On avait même des capsules de café à disposition. Pour le petit déjeuner, il y a tout ce qu'il faut à 2mns à pied. Nous avons eu la chance cette fois-ci de visiter Florence sous le soleil timide de février mais c'était bien de visiter au sec. Ca ne concerne pas l'appartement mais le fait de venir en voiture. Nous avions réservé un garage, comme il y a deux ans. Mais comme il y avait des travaux, on s'est perdus dans Florence. Je pense que nous allons avoir une amende très salée. Et ça, par contre, c'est un stress que je conseillerais au gérant de résoudre par un donner un plan bien précis des accès autorisés de Florence quand on vient en voiture. On parlait de revenir, mais on a trop galéré pour trouver le garage...avec GPS !! La ville était en travaux donc GPS inutile et ce fut une galère pas possible. On a croisé plein de policiers en tout genre (municipaux, police et même la police financière :)) et pas un de nous arrêter pour nous hurler dessus. Ce fut le seul point positif de cette aventure pas très sympa. Par contre, l'amende va être gratinée alors qu'on avait tout bien planifié.
• karin (8/5): Die Lage und die Wohnung perfekt. Ideal um die Stadt zu Fuß zu erkunden. - Wir wollten uns einen gemütlichen Fernsehabend machen. Der Fernseher funktionierte jedoch nicht, keine Reaktion auf die Fernbedienung und Schaltknöpfe auf der Rückseite auch nicht brauchbar. Auch die private Parkmöglichkeit ( bei meiner Buchung noch angezeigt) nicht vorhanden.

• Jia (1/5): Our experience in Florence was partially ruined by our stay. - It is next to Santa Croce and in walking distance to almost all points of interest in Florence. The host communicated with us on WhatsApp. She sent us detailed information on access the room before arrival and acted quickly to rectify an issue we had. 1. There is no staff on site, communication is through messages. 2. The room (and the whole building) is old and had strong sewer gas smell in the downstair toilet and on the terrace. 3. We had water left in the kettle from previous visitors. We contacted the host and she acted quickly and sent a cleaner to solve the issue. The cleaner washed it with some chemical solution (all labelled in Italian and I don't know Italian) and we dared not use the kettle during our stay. 4. I noticed that the room was cleaned thoroughly but furniture were too old, some of them can be sold as antiques. 5. Power socket next to the bed on the bathroom side was not installed properly. I categorise this as a safety hazard. 6. The side tables had sharp metal edges sticking out (underneath as well, be warned!) and almost cut my figures. Health and safety hazard again. 7. The kitchen drawers were dirty (old?). 8. We had many mosquitos in the middle of winter!!! Our child got bitten several times and was left with big lumps on her arms for about a week. I managed to kill 3 of them but there were more. 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed we did not get proper sleeps. Deal breaker for us (for anyone I would imagine)!! 9. We booked the place just because we wanted to use the washing machines and dryers. But the washing machine had no English instruction. With the help of Google I managed to get it working but some English instruction would be good.

Old broken and dirty furniture, spongy(rotting) decking boards, no working light. The rest of the apartment was stylish looking but needs a lot of tlc. E.g. sockets loose, trim hanging off bedside table. Kitchen area very basic. Lovely clean, very comfy bed. Great location.
• Kathy (10/5): Relaxing Tuscan escape close to all amenties with a modern twist - This property truly exceeded my expectations. The apartment was veru roomy and had a lovely homely Tuscan feel about it. The location was excellent - not too busy and with the Metro close by as well as a great supermarket for cheap meal options. This property is very roomy and comfortable it even has it's own terrace. The kitchen is modern with all facilities you could need. Our host Michele was very attentive and assisted me with any enquiries.

Nothing bad to say or dislike I will mention the apartment next to ours was rather noisy between 5-7 pm alot of shouting and loud music although I feel may have been to a older school child adults were shouting alot as well as the child. However it did seem only between the hours mentioned so didt have a impact on our stay.

• Bettina (9/5): Tolle Location für einen städtetrip alles fussläufig erreichbar - Tolle Lage mit dachterasse die allerdings ein bisschen renovierungsbedürftig ist ! Dass wir am Abreisetag bereits vor der auscheckzeit zweimal sehr unsanft mit lautem Klopfen gestört wurden während wir beim anziehen waren - an der Tür war dann zweimal niemand zu sehen beim dritten klopfen kurz vorm auschecken war die Mitarbeiterin nicht sehr freundlich und machte ihrem Unmut Luft - das fanden wir nicht so schön !

• Ralph (9/5): Wunderschöne Tage in Florenz in einer tollen Wohnung - Sehr zentrale aber auch entspannte Lage im Zentrum von Florenz. Parkgarage gleich um die Ecke, man gibt das Auto ab und muss sich um nichts kümmern. Das Appartement war im 3. Stock mit einem Aufzug zu erreichen. Wir konnten unsere Ziele alle zu Fuß erreichen. Egal ob Sehenswürdigkeit oder Restaurants. Klimaanlage funktioniert hervorragend, der große Kühlschrank ist ein weiteres Plus. Für Florenz eine optimale Übernachtungsmöglichkeit, wir kommen gerne wieder. Übrigens, ein T-Bone Steak in Florenz, dort als Bistecca alla Fiorentina bezeichnet, sollte man sich gönnen. Es gab nichts negatives.

• Alicia (10/5): Beautiful apartment in great location steps away from Santa Croce Basilica - The location was great. Spacious apartment with all the amenities and patio with a beautiful view of rooftops and landscape. Easy to walk anywhere from the apartment. There are 2 shared washing machines and a dryer in the hallway/entryway for the 5 apartments to use. Supermarket around the corner. Many restaurants and shops in the plaza that the apartment is next to, which is in front of beautiful Basilica Santa Croce. Highly recommend visiting Santa Croce Basilica! The host of the apartment, Valentina, was very helpful! She even helped me find a wonderful dentist to help me with my crown, and arranged for a taxi pickup in the morning to take us to the train station. There are a lot of stairs in the Bue apartment where we stayed, from the entryway of the apartment going to the bedroom and living space, so if stairs are a problem, this isn't the place for you. This was a great choice for us and I would stay here again!

• Karen (8/5): Great location, comfortable bed - The apartment is in a great location and within walking distance to all the sights and restaurants. Good sized room with comfy bed and the little balcony was a lovely bonus for the odd glass of wine before going out to dinner. The check in process was not the best as no one to meet us when we arrived. Other than that nothing negative to say.

• Brian (10/5): An absolute gem in the city - Having lived in Firenze twice, and visited 30+ times in the past 30 years, I have to say that this was the best apartment and space that I have ever stayed at. Location, comfort, layout and amenities were spectacular. Apartment was spotless. In addition, Michele and Valentina made check-in super easy and helped with all of our questions. One thing to note, this apartment was suprisingly quiet--no street noise and other guests in apartment were quiet in the halls--the double pane windows definitely helped with this. Will absolutely stay again!!!!
• Kathrine (10/5): Fuld valuta for pengene - både lejlighed, beliggenhed og komfort helt i top - Skøn lejlighed med super beliggenhed. Meget centralt men dog fred og ro inde i lejligheden. Skøn aircondition, godt brudebad og dejligt køkken. Balkonen var skøn og med dejlig udsigt. Utrolig hjælpsom vært der svarede hurtigt. WiFi forbindelsen er ikke den bedste, men fin nok til feriebrug.

• Kathleen (10/5): Can not beat location and the absolute charm of the apartment. We would definitely stay there again. - Right at Santa Croce Basilica which turned out to be one of the favorite places we visited. Very close to Arno River, and easy walking to everything in Florence. And free laundry, including detergents, made for a great choice. A few things weren’t ready as expected (extra bed as requested and confirmed in reservation was missing) but they rectified everything on Day One and all was perfect afterwards.
• Tatiana (10/5): A dream place in a dream city - The apartment has lots of character and is very comfortable and spacious. No noise is heard inside, so the quality of sleep was superb. The kitchen was well equipped, and the little balcony was nice. The location could hardly be any better: close to everything and quiet at the same time. We were pleased to be welcomed at the door upon arrival by the property manager, who led us in. We would love to stay there again. The following is just for information, it did not spoil our enjoyment of the apartment: - The apartment description on booking.com said there was a washing machine, but it was not in the apartment. - The garbage disposal appeared complicated: the garbage containers were locked and required a credit card.
• Wells-Holtey (10/5): Perfect location, lovely apartment, exceptional service from the host. - Great home in Florence. Close to a grocery store, restaurants, and the beautiful St. Croce cathedral. We walked everywhere from our apartment and most places were within a 7-10 minute walk from this location. There is an elevator which makes it so easy to reach the apartment with your luggage. The host had someone meet us outside of the apartment when we arrived who showed us the apartment and how to use the AC, washer/dryer, coffee, etc. The beds were very comfortable. We had an issue with our transportation to the train station on the day of our departure. The apartment owner was contacted by our driver who then arranged a taxi for us and even came in person to make sure we made it to our train. Such exceptional service! There is some street noise from a bar outside our window at night. We had the windows closed and the AC on which helped dampen the noise. It was a holiday weekend for Italy so very busy throughout the city.

• Vaish (6/5): Lots of space, not much comfort. - 1. big and spacious! 2. great location for food and sight seeing 1. Wifi didn't work properly upstairs 2. Strange damp smell downstairs 3. Terrace floor unstable and unsafe - felt like the floor boards were about the break and the seating has rust/unstable and uncomfortable. 4. Broken side table which is unsafe (see photo) 5. generally uncomfortable lounge - the carpet for hotels is not a great option as it can gather dust and cause allergies - none of the furniture was comfortable to sit on (we could feel the wooden slats on the couch!) 6. serious maintenance required - sealant is coming off in the bathroom (see photo) and the bidet we couldn't empty because the plug would not come out for some reason. This is the most expensive hotel we have stayed at, but we have received the least service and comfort. We have stayed at hotels much cheaper in Florence and Venice that have provided better comfort and service. La Croce has a lot of potential - but unless there is an improvement in maintenance, and a price that matches the service, it will be disappointing.

• alan (10/5): Lovely stay in Santa Croce , perfect location to see all that Florence has to offer. - Perfect location in Santa Croce, right off the piazza but very quiet. The apartment is beautiful, well equipped, and spacious with too many clever touches to list. There is a delightful small terrace over looking the roof tops. Our hosts were very helpful with dining recommendations, and went above and beyond to recover a misplaced phone.
