• ASC555 (10/5): A wonderful stay in a rustic location. - One of the best stays during our road trip across Iceland. This is thoughtfully made and decorated guesthouse with very nice facilities. It's is in a relatively remote and quiet location. It has quality toiletries, fitments and wonderful linen. The only crib would be that the lights in the room could be brighter, otherwise Room 10 was Fabulous. The common kitchen and dining/TV room was useful for our cooking & dining. The compact hot tub & sauna with a lovely rustic background was a delight to use. This guesthouse is a benchmark for owners of other places, we stayed at and rated lower. Happy to recommend to other travellers. 1. Lights in the room could be brighter 2. Breakfast could be provided, as this place is quite far from any town.

• Femke (8/5): Prima plek op doorreis - Het is een heel rustige plek, en het is fijn om gebruik te kunnen maken van de complete keuken. En natuurlijk de heerlijk hottub. Sommige anti-aanbakpannen in de keuken zijn aan vervanging toe. En ik begrijp dat self check-in heel praktisch is, maar ik mis het toch om even door iemand ontvangen te worden.

Nous conseillons vivement Karuna Ghesthoise, idéalement situé pour une halte entre Reykjavik et le lac Myvatn. Excellent souvenir !

Per poter usare la sauna bisogna chiamare la proprietaria, molto gentile e disponibile, che deve accenderla. Le zone comuni sono molto ampie e arredate in modo moderno e accogliente.

• Ines (9/5): Cool country side guesthouse - Karuna Guesthouse was lovely. It is literally in the middle of nowhere, but it has everything for a good sleep. Parking, shared kitchen and living room. Hot tub and sauna that we didn't try. The room was small but enough and had a sink. And the shared bathroom was clean. Very quiet place.

• Wai Fun (8/5): Good value for an overnight stay. - The guesthouse location is scenic overlooking a plain and a farm with horses and chickens. The room was clean and spacious. Bed were comfortable and good size. The dinning area was large and beautifully decorated. There was a hot tub and sauna but I did not use it because by the time I finished cooking/eating dinner they were closed. The water smelled sulfur which was normal in Iceland but it was so bad comparing to other guesthouses in Iceland. The shared kitchen was not so tidy and under equipped, with only 2 small pots and a worn out pan. It took some time to wait for my turn to use the kitchen/stove. Breakfast was Ok mainly cold stuffs.

• Nicole (8/5): Wir können das Karuna Guesthouse sehr empfehlen. - Das Karuna Guesthouse lag für uns sehr gut am Weg nach Kjölur. Alles war sehr sauber und für eine Nacht gross genug. Der Aufenthaltsraum und die Gemeinschaftsküche sind grosszügig und gut ausgestattet. Das Guesthouse verfügt über einen Hot Tub, der nach der langen Anreise sehr gut getan hat.

• Elisa (9/5): Guesthouse molto carina e confortevole - Camera molto ampia, nuova e pulita. Zone comuni veramente ben arredate e curate. Cucina ben fornita. Personale cordiale e molto gentile. Per chi volesse, c’è anche una vasca idromassaggio e una sauna in loco. La cucina era forse un po’ piccola per il numero di ospiti. La colazione era poco varia, anche se abbiamo apprezzato fosse inclusa.

• Andre (10/5): Super Gästehaus - Super Gästehaus. Wir waren hier 1 Woche und sind von hier aus immer Tagestouren gefahren. Das kleine Frühstück am Morgen hatte alles was man braucht. Die Zimmer waren wirklich sehr sauber. Auf den Betten haben wir sehr gut geschlafen und man hat 3 Kissen pro Person 😍 zur Verfügung. Das Warmwasser ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig vom Geruch her, da es aus einer Quelle kommt und Mineralien enthält. Aber auf der Haut fühlt es sich super an und ich habe das Gefühl es macht eine weiche Haut. Also ich fand es mega gut. Und nach dem ersten Tag war mir der Geruch schon egal 😉. Und es gibt dort einige Tiere wie Hühner und Pferde, aber absolut kein Geruch und man hört sie nicht. Im Gegenteil, zu der grandiosen Aussicht dort ist es auch noch total Still. Man hört einfach NICHTS. TRAUMHAFT. Auch einige Hunde sind da, die super lieb sind und sich freuen gestreichelt zu werden. Der war sogar so gut erzogen, er ging nicht mal in unser Zimmer hobeln, obwohl er gerne wollte. Er blieb davor stehen. Super süß. Danke an die Besitzer des Gästehauses, für den tollen und freundlichen Urlaub. Alles super, keine Beanstandungen.

• Samsul (7/5): Will definitely stay here again. - The location was amazing. It overlooks the valley with horses roaming around and mountains in the background. Hard to beat that. The staff didn’t properly stock the room. Missing hand soap and toilet paper. But the front desk was quick to response.

• Ander (8/5): - El sitio es genial. Entorno muy bonito y dentro con vistas increíbles. El personal muy amable y servicial. Además incluye desayuno muy rico. Las habitaciones son pequeñas pero suficiente y con espacio para guardar ropa. Algún utensilio más en la cocina estaría bien. Por lo demás genial.

• Livia (7/5): Bonne étape près de Saudarkrokur - Très grand et joli salon / salle à manger commune. Jacuzzi et sauna extérieurs (dommage que le parking soit juste devant, gâchant la vue !). Petit déjeuner avec gâteaux fait maison. Bonne literie. Cuisine petite et sous-équipée pour le nombre de personnes / chambres (file d’attente pour préparer son repas).
• Erzsebet (9/5): - Die Unterkunft liegt gute 10 km von der Stadt weg, dafür ist sie Aussicht auf die Berge sehr schön. Die Sauna ist sehr originell gemacht, wie ein großes Fass und man blickt auf die Berge hinaus. Das Zimmer war Recht gross und das Bett separat in einem rund abgetrennten Teil. Alles war schön sauber und sehr ruhig. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Es riecht im Zimmer ein wenig nach Schwefel und auch das Wasser aus der Hahne. Zum trinken nicht so appetitlich. Der Teppich stand am Zipfel in der Luft und man musste aufpassen nicht zu stolpern. Das Morgenessen war eher einfach.

• Lena (10/5): Jederzeit wieder! - Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr nett und zeigte uns alles. Die Gemeinschaftsküche ist sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Auch die Gemeinschaftsbäder sind sehr sauber und verfügen über einen Föhn. Die Zimmer sind sehr komfortabel und mit einem eigenen Waschbecken und Fernseher ausgestattet. Besonders gefallen hat uns der Hot Tub, den alle Gäste nutzen dürfen und die Tiere auf dem Hof. -
• Christel (10/5): - Cadre superbe, maison magnifique, communs très spacieux et cosy, petit déjeuner délicieux et personnel vraiment très sympathique. Rien à reprocher. Je recommande vivement
