Guest Reviews
- Simon (8/5): - Good budget hotel. Close to Sengakuji Stn (exit A4). A 7 eleven is very close to hotel and a Lawson’s is across the street. If you’re going to Shinagawa stn via the Keikyu line. Use platform 1. Use platform 2 to return but make sure the train stops at Sengakuji stn.
- Egan Jixiang (10/5): - Excellent
- Ginty (8/5): - Very convenient for Haneda Airport and the Tokyo subway system (but be prepared for a lot stairs if carrying suitcases!). Good coffee. Small rooms. 7-11 extremely close.
- Axel (10/5): Excellent stay - We stayed for 1 night and everything was great.
- Alice (10/5): - I like how I got to order a breakfast for 600yen as a hotel deal. I think it was pretty good for what we paid for. I had fun and it was overall clean.
- Gabriel (10/5): - Near a metro station and the room cost was economical. Great hotel to stay at.
- Ernesto (10/5): - Helpful staff and great location... Would definitely recommend 😎💯
- Tan (8/5): As expected - Just as expected, nothing more nothing less.

- Zachary (10/5): - Convenient location with a clean and cozy room
- GUN (10/5): - It was the first trip for my business and tourism.
The hotel was nice and clean. On top of that, location is far better than that. Close to two lines of subway stations.
I enjoyed a lot with my family, only spending almost half of the cost that I should’ve paid at Ginza.
- Darlyn (10/5): - I monitored this hotel through recent reviews before deciding to maintain my reservation. I read the room details and observed previous guests' reviews including photos and videos, setting my expectation for the room size accordingly. My spouse and I stayed at this hotel from April 23rd to May 4th and were away for 3 nights while visiting Kyoto. The room met expectations, and the pillows were not hard as mentioned by some reviewers. We did extensive sightseeing and used the hotel primarily for sleeping. Open luggage occupies walking space, so we kept our luggage closed except when retrieving clothes or storing purchased items. Despite a review mentioning construction noise, it was not noticeable during our stay. The staff were courteous and accommodating despite the language barrier. Interaction with the housekeeper was also positive. Rooms were cleaned after the third night, which was satisfactory as we maintained cleanliness. Instructions state that one bag of rubbish can be collected on non-cleaning days. Complimentary coffee is provided in the morning and late afternoon until late evening. For those who prefer, there is a 7-Eleven just outside the hotel and a Lawson across the street. The hotel held our luggage from checkout at 10 AM until 5:30 PM.A minor inconvenience was the provision of only one key card, and the dryer taking an extended time to dry clothes even with a small load. Aside from this, I would consider staying here again in the future.
- Toyoda (8/5): - Good location!
- michael (4/5): - Hotel is nice, but front staff is not helpful and it’s a pain having your room cleaned every 3 days. They did not explain what to do with garbage or used towels….
- Yun (8/5): - Room is very clean! The location is good!
There’s no elevator in the nearby subway station, if you have more and big luggages, it’s not suitable for you.
- Pak Kei (10/5): Nice location, comfortable room, nice staff - Nice location, comfortable room, staff are very nice and helpful
- Mario (10/5): - Good acomodations
- Gary (10/5): - Convenient location. Helpful and friendly staff, well done!

- Jesly (10/5): - so clean!! and very very friendly staffs! highly recommend!
- Yoshiaki (8/5): -
- Hee Jung (6/5): -
- Leinen (10/5): - The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!

- Sabrina (10/5): - Convenient location. Room is very clean. Staffs are nice and friendly.
- Antoine (10/5): - Convenient location and lovely staff
- Joel (8/5): - The staff were brilliant, the place was clean and well presented. They made everything super easy and pleasant. However I should add unless you specifically need to stay in this location, it is still a development area, so if you are staying here to explore Tokyo it was difficult for transport as you will need to catch at least 2-3 different trains one-way to get somewhere nice in Tokyo with dining/shops - there is however a convenience store next door which came in handy many times. Aside from this our stay was brilliant and would definitely recommend these guys as a place to stay
- Rossel (10/5): November 2024 Trip - Conveniently located near the Sengakuji station that has direct train access to both Haneda and Narita airports. One station away from Shinagawa which gives access to other train lines like the Yamanote. The hotel has vendo machine for coffee so you could have coffee any time of the day and supply of matcha tea. Daily change of towels. 7-11 is just right next door. Room is larger than usual. Enjoyed our stay. Will recommend.
- Ivy (8/5): - Happy with service and amenities available. Close to conveint stores and train station. Pillow was hard and beady. Room size is small but decent for price in this location.
- Shingo (6/5): -
- Fernanda (4/5): - Terriblemente incómoda la cama y la almohada
- Ikeda (8/5): -
- michie (10/5): - Thank you
- Kurt (10/5): - Nice standard hotel with good staff
- Sibel (8/5): - Tolle Unterkunft - Zimmer sehr klein.
Alles vorhanden was man braucht: Shampoo, Duschgel, Spülung, Toiletartikel, Fön, ... sogar Steckdosenadapter kann man sich ausborgen.
- YIU SUM WILSON (8/5): Nice stay - Prime location, 2 minutes walk to subway station. Lawson and 7/11 convenience stores nearby. Quiet environment.
Station yamanote a 10 min à pied.
- YUNKYU (10/5): - all was good.
- Jolene (10/5): Great place to stay in Tokyo - Nice place to stay in Tokyo, very close to the metro A line. Going to either airport is easy on the rapid train. Our room was a decent size, very clean, cold AC, mini fridge, comfy bed, free flowing coffee machine (during certain times), and small amenities make this a lovely place for travel. We opt for breakfast which was at a restaurant across the street. It was simple and delicious.
The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Check-in was very easy and we were able to store our luggage until we departed for the airport. However, if you have a lot of luggage opt to use the Yamato transport TaQbin as getting down the stairs at the metro is a struggle! Thanks again!
- Sophie (10/5): - The hotel is relatively new and very well kept. The location is conveniently close to Sengakuji station on the Asakusa Line, which means low cost direct access is possible to both airports. However despite all the other highlights, the best part of this hotel remains its staff. Especially the front desk staff on duty during my stay: not only were they friendly and helpful, they went above and beyond to ensure I have the correct information. My trip wouldn’t be nearly as smooth and easy without their help. Highly recommend this hotel and I would absolutely stay here again.
- Fabio (10/5): - Close to subway, walkable area, nice room
- antoine (8/5): - Good
- Jim (10/5): - Nice location
- Alwin (8/5): Small but nice! - This hotel is very nice! It is literally a 1-2 minute walk from the Sengakuji train station exit number 4. In between the station and the hotel is a 7-11. So convenient! The room was small but very clean and very modern. There was absolutely no view as the room was only a couple of feet away from an adjacent building separated by a tiny utility space. The entrance to the hotel was a very small lobby with big glass doors which opened right onto the sidewalk. The small lobby had an elevator which allowed direct access to your room floor with your key card. Without a card you could only access the 2nd for which is where the Registration Lobby is located.
One major complaint about the hotel was that the air conditioner did not work. It was not an issue until our last two nights when the weather got warmer. We opened the window which was nice but soon found ourselves with mosquito bites. With only one other night to stay we opted not to say anything, not wanting to pack and move all of our stuff for just one night. We decided we’d just suffer through the heat with the window closed for the last night.
The very best part of this place was the value!! It was hundreds if not thousands of dollars less expensive than other rooms which were available at that time.
We will definitely stay here again the next time we’re lucky enough to visit Tokyo!
- Anthony (10/5): - It’s amazing area. Very close to everything like train station, gym, convenient store, and it’s 30 mins walk to Tokyo tower. I would recommend.
- Lalit (10/5): - Public transport just outside the hotel and a 24 hour convenience store.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Public transport just outside the hotel and a 24 hour convenience store.
- Rosalva (10/5): - Beds were a little too firm for us but overall the stay was wonderful. The staff were very helpful when trying to forward our luggage. It’s also very close to a station and a 711. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here
- Julia (8/5): - Very nice and clean, however there were times in the mornings where I heard doors slamming very often. There was loud thumping almost every morning.
- Erik (10/5): - Workers were very nice and helpful
- KIMBERLEY GIA KIM (8/5): - Close to 7Eleven and KK line A07 Sengakuji Station. However walking down stairs might have made much inconvenience to those who carried luggage.
- Dory (10/5): - Good
- kim (10/5): - What I liked about this property is it was close to a train station.Very quiet area not too much people. There is a 7/11 & a Lawson near by also a restaurant across the street that is open 24hr.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Enjoyed being close to station and facility was great!
- Ma Romelezza (10/5): - Highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice staff, clean rooms
- Amina (10/5): - It very nice
- Marlon (10/5): - Easy to check in, very clean, super close to station, and had all necessities.
- anthroAustralia (6/5): Very average hotel with good station access - Very average Japanese business hotel. Limited facilities and amenities (although had a laundry and vending machines). Rooms tiny. Staff grumpy and made you feel like you were doing something wrong all the time. Not awful, but wouldn’t stay here again if I had any other options. Location is quite good in a quiet area with nearby stations. Access to stations is the best feature which makes it suitable for sightseeing on a budget and where you spend no time at the hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A nice hotel - A great hotel for my stay in Japan. Staff were very friendly, and the room fit well for what I needed it for. The bed was comfortable, and the controls for the room were very accessible. No issues whatsoever! The closest station is Sengakuji which takes the Asakusa and Keiku line
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good - I enjoyed my stay in Smaile Hotel.
- Timothy (8/5): - Location is fine for local businesses but not for Tokyo as a whole
- Cassandra (10/5): - It was nice. The room was compact but nice and functional. The staff were great and the laundry, microwave and ice machine in the lobby area were handy. The location is easy access to trains and some restaurants but is more quiet and there was a lot of construction nearby.
- Ronen (8/5): - Very good. The rooms are tiny but it was fine for me
- Nicholas (6/5): Language Issue - Room was very small, made for someone small. Staff where helpful, However, had trouble with the English language. One would think better personnel.
- Javier (8/5): - Good for an individual on a short trip who doesn't want spend much time in their room.
- SHIGERU (10/5): - Clean and nice room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Absolutely amazing! - Have stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. The room is quiet, new and clean. You can get the toiletries in front of the reception, the staff are so friendly.
Even you didn’t request a cleaning service they will provide new towels and bin bag for you everyday and hanging them outside your room, which is very caring.
There is a convenient store next to the hotel, and there are metro and JR stations within 10 minutes walk as well, definitely a great location.
The only problem of my room is there is no view because it is very near and facing to the next building. And there is no early check in option. But it won’t stop me to book this hotel again when I travel to Tokyo next time!
- Philip (10/5): - Had a great time staying here
- goodhoteligo (8/5): Nice Comfortable stay - Stayed 4 nights at this hotel. Just across from Shinagawa Station.
Hotel gave us a room with an awesome view on the high floor facing the train station. I like that it has a wide window and sill where I can sit and watch the people crossing the road down below while sipping bottled coffee.
Room is large at 30 square meters and has extra pillows, all toilet amenities EXCEPT cotton pads, buds and shower caps.
Check-in and out was a brisk and staff was very friendly except the staff at the customer service counter where we left our luggage with them for a few hours.
We didn't buy their breakfast plan so no comments about it. You can have your breakfast at Mcdonalds or better still, at Anne & Miller restaurant infront of the station.
- rai4a (6/5): Just okay - close to shinagawa but nothing special - The hotel is just a few walk from Sengakuji Station which connects Haneda Airport, Shinagawa, Asakusa, and Narita Airport, so mobility should not be an issue if you are a tourist. However, there is no elevator or escalator in the nearest station exit (A4) which means you need to take the long walk if you have large luggage (or do some exercise between the platform and the road).
The rooms are new and facility is decent, but unfortunately my shower room felt very damp and the curtain had the smell like it's never been washed for some times. Another let down is the breakfast; you need to go to a restaurant across the road for a Japanese style bowl meal, or to an Italian cafe nearby for sandwiches. The Italian cafe was a heaven for smokers and for me personally, I could use that breakfast fee to buy something nicer in the 7-Eleven next to the hotel.
Wi-fi was fast and check-in/out was a breeze. My room was $30 per night so I won't complain much but I might look for other options when returning to the area.
- ElishevaR5 (10/5): Amazing Experience and the Staff is Great with Accomodations - We stayed here to be close to the local Jewish community for Shabbat. The hotel was all electronic BUT once we explained, the staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help accommodate us according to our religious observance. They opened the electronic doors for us and let us you the emergency only staircase. They went above and beyond and were amazing!
A few doors down from the Sengakuji subway exit A4.
