• Heinz (9/5): - Die Lage am Fluss, das Personal ist außergewöhnlich freundlich. Die angebotenen Speisen werden frisch zubereitet und es war jede davon köstlich. Zwei von den Touren welche über die Unterkunft vermittelt werden, habe ich in Anspruch genommen, die Tagestour zum Cheow-Lan See und eine mehrstündige Trekkingtour in einem Teil des Nationalparks. Jeweils mit dem Guide namens Chang. Ich kann dies jedem empfehlen zu tun. Bemerken möchte ich, dass ich dies nur als private Tour (2Personen) gemacht habe.

• Smal (6/5): Heeft een upgrade nodig. - De mensen zijn erg vriendelijk en aardig en maakt veel goed. Je kan er ook prima eten. Bed lag redelijk. Als je een taxi nodig heb, brengen zij je tegen een vergoeding. Het buitengedeelte is leuk. Tijdens ons verblijf van 3 nachten 4 dgn is er niet 1x een schoonmaak van de kmr geweest, geen prullenbakken geleegd en ook geen schonen badlakens. Zelf om gaan vragen, toe kreeg ik ze wel gewoon De douche en toiletruimte niet heel fris. De voegen zitten vol schimmel zo ook t douchegordijn, bovenkant spiegel vol met stof en overal doodgeslagen muggen en vliegen. Hoogste tijd voor een upgrade. De traptreden naar t camphuisje zijn erg hoog en lastig te betreden. S'nachts best herrie van de airco's die draaien, alsof er een wasmachine aanstaat. Badlakens erg dun en versleten.

• martin (10/5): If you want a bit of peace and quiet and be looked after and feel safe and relaxed you need to stay here - It was perfect. Trying to gage from the images was hard, but it’s everything I love about some paces in Thailand when you escape the tourists. The staff were so nice, and go the extra mile to make you feel welcomed and at home. The food was great, amazing value. I had only booked two nights.
• Ekaterina (3/5): Would not recommend - Good things are friendly people, they made early breakfast and ordered taxi for us. and the territory is nice next to the river. Got scammed. We booked 2 rooms and got only one for the first night. They said it is a system error but there are several similar reviews from before. we asked several times for changing the sheets and towels which they agreed but never did. The rooms are not comfortable, sewage smells. Food is not good. The hotel is far from the village.
• FREYA (8/5): Sehr empfehlenswert. Einfach, sauber, Preis Leistung passt. - Wunderschön in der Natur gelegen. Die Besitzerin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Camp ist eher abgelegen was eine sehr ruhige und angenehme Umgebung mitten in der Natur schafft. Wenn man nicht mobil ist mit einem Roller oder ähnlichem ist es etwas schwierig dort weg zu kommen. Man muss im besten Fall mobil sein wenn man viel sehen möchte. Etwa 10 min (mit dem Roller) von dem Camp ist ein kleiner Ort an dem man alles hat was das Herz begehrt. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Nationalpark, Yoga, Cafés und Restaurants und auch einige Bars für ein Lebhaftes Nachtleben wenn man das sucht. Super ist das man doch so weit weg ist so das man Leben um sich haben kann wenn man möchte und aber in Ruhe schlafen kann. Die Hütten sind einfach aber sauber. Es sind ab und zu ein paar Tierchen unterwegs aber wir sind eben in Thailand. Wir können es sehr empfehlen und würden definitiv wieder kommen.

Être dans un endroit paisible, entendre les animaux, et être loin de l'afflux touristique, était un vrai bonheur ! Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis. • Stephanie (9/5): - Super warm and helpful staff, from pickup to receptionists, people are just very kind and helpful. I'd say they have the cleanest towels I've had! Sadly I only stayed overnight and arrived late due to unforeseen circumstances but I'd come back and stay again. There is also a tour desk there which I'd like to try too. Nothing at all. I felt incredibly welcomed by their kind hospitality.
• Kati (10/5): Peaceful Riverside Retreat with Amazing Hosts - Our stay at Khao Sok River Camp was an amazing experience. The spacious riverside huts offered the perfect spot to see the local wildlife like groups of nutria, a caiman, and lots of colorful birds. With only a few huts and therefore few guests, the camp maintained a tranquil atmosphere. It was wonderful to wake up by the sounds of macaques and exotic birds each morning. But the real highlight was the hospitality of the hosts. Three elder people took meticulous care of us, ensuring we always had delicious meals, fresh laundry (for only a few bath / kilo), and even a free ride to town whenever needed. A simple WhatsApp message was all it took, and within five minutes, they were there to assist us. What about offering a cooking course just like the Black Stone Cafe does? It would be amazing to learn how you prepare the good food.

• Luz (10/5): Surrounded by nature - The property is surrounded by nature, with a river right in front of the rooms — so peaceful and beautiful. It’s a little far from town, but they have a restaurant, sell a few drinks and snacks, and even offer transport to town. They can also help you organize tours and arrange transport to other cities, which made everything so convenient. The staff are incredibly friendly, especially DawThararat, she is so helpful and always ready to assist without even being asked. She’s always aware of guests’ needs and quick to help as soon as she notices. I will definitely be back soon. I loved everything about this place! Just keep in mind that if you want your room cleaned, you need to request it.

Ze hebben ons geholpen aan een extra bed, een ticket voor de bus en maakten elk moment van de dag eten voor ons. Het ligt ver buiten het dorp en er is verder vrij weinig te doen. Kom je voor rust dan is dit de plek.

The air con was great and worked well. The staff and food were exceptional I loved all of it especially the new favourite mango pancakes - not too sweet. Nothing.

• Carolin (10/5): - Wir können das Khaosok River Camp nur wärmstens empfehlen. Durch die 5 oder 6 bestehenden Bungalows ist es sehr übersichtlich und privat gehalten. Die Ausstattung gibt alles her, was vonnöten ist. Das Hotel liegt mitten im Dschungel, gelegen an einem Fluss, was perfekt dazu einlädt, abzuschalten. Die Damen, welche das Hotel leiten, sind alle super herzig, zuvorkommend, aufgeschlossen und freundlich. Wir haben uns mehr als wohl gefühlt und sind über den Aufenthalt sehr glücklich.

• Anna (4/5): Es ist in Ordnung - Die Unterkunft ist für die Ausflüge rund um den Khao Sok Nationalpark gut gelegen. Ich muss dazu sagen, dass wir ein Auto hatten. Die Anlage ist an sich schön gelegen und ruhig. Die Tour, die wir hier gebucht haben, eine Tag auf dem Lake war super und klasse vom Preis. Wir wurden nicht so herzlichen empfangen, wie wir es auf unserer Rundreise durch Thailand in anderen Unterkünften erlebt haben. In unseren Zimmer gab unangenehm Geruch, es roch sehr modrig. Hier gab es Abortfliegen. Das Bad ist Renovierungsbedürftig. Für das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis und den Vergleich mit anderen Unterkünften ist es für die Ausstattung eindeutig zu teuer.

• Stinka (7/5): Dnes bych hledal ubytování v uličce pod vstupem do Khao Saku. Krásná atmosféra a lepší výběr agentur pro výlety. - Klid, krásná zahrada, večerní taxi do vesnice v ceně. Přímo v hotelu nejde dělat vůbec nic, takže se musí vyrážet na výlety. Ty jsou a) nesmyslně drahé a b) prodají vám je, i když na to nejsou podmínky. My jeli na “kajak” na řece. Dvakrát jsem se paní na recepci ptal, jestli je na to dost vody. Samozřejmě řekla, že ano. Bylo přitom vody asi jako v létě v Čechách, pořád jsme drhli a tlačili. Místo kajaku jsme dostali nafukovací baraku a “průvodce”, takže jsme nemohli ani sami pádlovat. Další dva výlety od paní domácí byly špatně zorganizované. Ani jídlo nám moc nechutnalo, kromě toho trvá příprava velmi dlouho, což byl u snídaně trochu problém.

• Rima (9/5): Comfortable escape in jungles - Very supportive staff, clean room, nice surrounding on the bank of the river, calm, relaxing atmosphere in the jungles. Hotel provide both ends ride to Khao Sok village 100 tba per person. Bed is a bit hard for my body, but it is very personal, because other couple from our group was very happy about bed.

• Ryan (8/5): Riverside nature close to the park gate! - For anyone looking for a khao sok stay that is in the middle of nature, this is your place! It is right on the river and deep in the forest. Relaxed and surrounded by nature! It maybe that with the increased tourism the kitchen is trying to cater more to the western tourist, but we found it disappointing and missing the spice and flavour one hopes for in Thailand.

• Connor (1/5): Awful. - It is literally in the jungle, where I wanted to be. Not sure where to begin. I arrived and found out there was no room for me and had to stay in a tent, in the middle of the jungle, and our toilet/shower was exposed to the elements. The tent ‘room’ they gave us as they had double booked is not even listed on their site and is clearly a place they use for times they double book. Despite decent communication before our arrival, they did not mention that we had no room to stay in. I think this was deliberate as it was pay on arrival, and we were then stuck in the middle of the jungle, with only their staff to ferry us into town and no taxis available in the area. After how sad we were about being in a literal tent, they promised us we would then be in our room the next day. They said we would be in that room when we returned from our activity, and could move in when we got back. Upon return, the lady was screaming at me in Thai that we should have packed our things and brought them to reception, despite never telling us this. I was so incredibly polite through Google Translate about how upset we were about this, but she screamed at me in Thai, and brought the owner and his son to also be threatening and aggressive to me about this. They offered to drop me at the main road, and there was nowhere else to move to, so we had to stay there. It was hostile, aggressive, and the most scared we had been in Thailand. Other guests witnessed this and were shocked. On our last night, they moved us into the ‘Queen bungalow’ we had originally booked, and it was quite literally full of ants. If you’re ant adjacent, or want to become and ant, this is for you. The woman told me the first nights in the tent would be free, but when we came to pay before we left, had deducted nothing from this, and just ignored my messages on translate to this effect. This was the most horrible experience of our honeymoon in Thailand. The Khao Sok park was incredible, and I would encourage anyone to go and see it, but avoid this place like the...
• Lucie (3/5): Got a Tent instead of a Queen Room - Location is quite far out the city but it’s a nice property near the river and the atmosphere is enjoyable I booked a Queen Room, got a Tent, with two single beds. The host didn’t even explain anything about the situation. Also the shuttle to the village was free on the 1rst night, and the 2nd night it was 150bath / pp.

Hotel jest bardzo daleko od jakiejkolwiek cywilizacji, ale nie oceniam tego na minus bo obsługa nigdy nie odmówiła nam transportu do centrum. Nie polecam nocnego safari (wycieczka dodatkowa) chodzicie po nocy w dżungli z czołówka i oglądacie żaby 🤦🏼‍♀️ dla bardzo wrażliwych w pokoju są mrówki i mieliśmy jaszczurkę :)

• Charleen (6/5): Ruhig aber abgelegen - Die Unterkunft ist sehr ruhig gelegen und sauber. Die Natur ist wirklich sehr schön drum herum. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht und freundlich. Es gibt einen Shuttle ins Dorf, dieses ist aber nur für die 1. Fahrt umsonst. Man soll dann Cash abholen und kann dann für 100 Baht pro Person die nächsten Abende fahren. Das Essen im Hotel ist aber sehr sehr lecker und es sind faire Preise. Die Lage ist wirklich sehr abgelegen. Wir haben eine Stunde bis zum Parkeingang vom Khao Sok gebraucht. Der nächste kleine Ort mit Geschäften etc. ist 15 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Das Personal spricht leider nicht sehr gut Englisch. Nachts war der Boiler im Badezimmer oder die Klima durchgehend am knacken. Wir haben über die Unterkunft eine Tour gebucht. Vorab hatte ich angefragt ob wir Touren lieber im voraus buchen sollen. Daraufhin wurde mir gesagt, dass dies nicht nötig ist. Als wir dann dort waren, war die Overnight Lake Tour ausgebucht, wir sind daher einen Tag früher abgereist. Der Bereich mit dem Netz über dem Fluss war leider gesperrt aufgrund von Bauarbeiten.

Na miejscu można zamówić wycieczki, personel jest bardzo miły, pomocny. Pyszne jedzenie do zamówienia na miejscu! Świetny taras z widokiem na rzekę. Odgłosy dżungli niesamowite. Parking na miejscu. Zdjęcia nie oddają uroku tego miejsca. Chętnie wrócimy. Dziękujemy.
• Felix (9/5): - The room was simple but clean and had everything you needed for 2 nights. Spacious bathroom. Relatively hard mattress, but still slept very well. The restaurant served delicious food at all times. The hosts were very welcoming and helped with everything and even drove us to the nearby town. Thank you very much for that. Tip: If you want to enjoy a view (or cocktails) instead of the river, there is a path on the other side of the road that leads to the restaurant of the boutique camp, which is on an elevated position and offers a beautiful view of the landscape.
• Thomas (8/5): Great atmosphere and good value - It’s a beautiful little resort, very tranquil in the middle of nature. The atmosphere is very enjoyable. You need to be motorised though as it’s in the middle of nowhere and there aren’t any shops or anything in the immediate vicinity. They do however serve food and drinks and we had an excellent meal. The seating options in the room aren’t very comfortable, a cushion on the wooden chairs might be a nice improvement. Also this is in the middle of nature so be aware you might share your room with some bugs or geckos but nothing frightening.
• louise (10/5): Chill, welcoming and well run by helpful hosts - So much to like about Khaosok River Camp, it is a little out of town but the staff will drop off and pick up…with this in mind we loved the peaceful chilled location away from the touristy busyness of the main strip. Lovely big room, comfy bed and pillows and everything a good standard of cleanliness. Lots of wildlife to listen to and see, which we loved. Staff were so helpful and friendly, particularly on our last day when our prepaid minivan didn’t show…helped us to book another and drive us down to minivan depot. Food was great and very reasonably priced. I concur with a previous reviewer that the breakfast pancakes were amazing…we had mixed fruit and they were super fluffy and tasty. We felt that a couple of things would help to practically improve things in the room, such a providing a few hangers and more hooks to hang things on. Also, given the size of the room it would have been good to have bedside tables and a reading lamp on both sides of bed rather than just one.
• Ines (8/5): Lidt som forventet, overordnet meget god ift. prisen. - Personalet var super søde og hjælpsomme med alt fra booking af ture til booking af transport videre til koh tao. Værelset var som på billedet. Maden i deres lille restaurant var god. Man blev kørt ind til den lille by når man havde lyst (gratis, vi gav dog tips). Man kan få vasket sit tøj hos dem. Ingen rengøring på værelset de tre nætter vi var der. Ingen skift af skraldespande. Håndklæder blev kun skiftet ud hvis man selv bedte om det. Måske man kunne have fået rengøring hvis man spurgte. Sengen var ret hård at ligge i.

• Sabrina (10/5): Geweldig - Fijn huisje, privacy, midden in de natuur en de mensen zijn zeer behulpzaam. De service is top. Schoon huisje met prima bedden.

• Bernd (6/5): Wer es ruhig im Hotel mag um mal ein Buch zu lesen oder Reise zu planen schön. - Sehr ruhig am Fluss gelegen. Einfache saubere Zimmer. Nachtsafari im Dschungel war an sich schön, wir selbst waren nur zu Zweit mit Guide. Im Dschungel dann allerdings mindestens 100 andere, die lärmend mit Taschenlampen durch den hell erleuchteten Nachtwald liefen. Da kann die Unterkunft aber nichts dafür. Trotz Bestätigung über booking.com kurz vorher die Nachricht das kein Zimmer mehr verfügbar sei. Hilft nur nichts, wenn man schon auf der Anreise ist bzw. vor dem etwas Abseits gelegenen Hotel steht. Letztlich haben wir dann doch ein Zimmer bekommen, vermutlich mussten andere in den sauren Apfel beißen.
