Guest Reviews
- Aleisha (5/5): Lovely staff, a few things to be rectified. - We enjoyed the location of this villa... out of the way but not too far away from things. The breakfast included was good. Staff was lovely. The girls loved the pool. We adored the kittens. We didn't like the ants in our bathrooms. They were all over the walls. We didn't like the cold showers. We didn't like the villas were open, so we were worried about our children sleeping in their own room, as they were 6 years old. The ceiling was flaky, and kept flaking on to our things. A bit of mould on the ceilings.

- Shahana (3/5): Avoid bad DAMP - Pool area was nice and the surrounding rice fields. The staff where lovely. I stayed here for 2 night. There was so much damp all over the room and the open kitchen area. The damp was so bad I left my t shirt on the head board for couple of hours damp stain went onto my t shirt. The bathroom there is water dripping from the ceiling due to condensation. Kitchen area paint peeling off and so much ants everywhere. I stayed in other accommodations in ubud in the middle of rice fields but the ant infestation was nothing like this place. I was put off eating breakfast in the kitchen area. At night you have ants crawling on your leg if you are not careful when leaving clothes out to dry. To access property is via tree walkway. The walkway is so badly maintained that it was so difficult to take luggage in. There was no light at night during walkway which made it scary. I had a baby so this was a very difficult stay for me.

- RENAUD (1/5): - Rien A FUIR
- Kannan (5/5): Passable - Outside view, nature Washrooms are not clean, No hot water, Not worth foe money, disappointed.
No hair dryer no cleanliness.
- Keren (5/5): Passable - It was basic. No milk provided for the coffee. It looked like some people from the public were coming in to sit by the pool - not just for private guests. Also, quite a few ants crawling around bedroom wall and ontop of bed cover too.
- Denis (1/5): Disappointed and would not recommend it to my worst enemy. - Nothing about the property is worth the cost. The entrance path to the property was rough and not safe for walking on . The property was mouldy and dirty walls added to the dingy outlook . Toilet pot was broken . The facilities was unliveable by Western standards. See above.
- Sabdar (8/5): Very good -
- Harry (1/5): Very bad, not clean, staff are friendly but not good facilities. - I don’t like any thing about property. Its not clean, lots of mosquitoes, I recommend, don’t stay in this property during raning season.
- Mehdi (1/5): Please stay somewhere else if you have children as this was an unclean place. - Nothing. The property was horrible. Nothing like the picture, the swimming pool water was unclean and the view with field was blocked by a construction site. The property was not clean and the way to reach to the door of the hotel was horrible.
- Sheena (8/5): Very good -
- Jody (1/5): Filthy, dirty, did not get refunded after leaving - Nothing at all. This place was really dirty (even found a tampon under the bed), dirty sheets and no clean ones to replace. The place was filthy. We had booked 5 nights and left after the first night, and did not get our money back. Bali had exceptional places to stay at for much cheaper, and this was not one of them. We even found a tampon under the bed. The fridge (comes with kitchen) was terrible, bedding was dirty, even the lovely pool in the pic had sludge around it. When I showed them the bedding, the guy said they had no more. There were 7 of us and we needed to find urgent accommodation for the next morning. I even found a used tissue when opening the bedding! Really, if you want your family trip to be lovely, DO NOT STAY HERE. If you are a solo traveller, DO NOT STAY HERE (it is far from everything), if you are with a partner, DO NOT STAY HERE, the photos are not a true representation of the expensive place you are paying for. We spent many wifi opportunities making contact to get the funds returned, which they were not. It was a big waste of money and a dampen on our trip. Filth. While we were there, there was another couple who left at sunrise, who also cancelled their stay.

- Aribam (9/5): Superb -
- Vipulkumar (6/5): Okay , If you can avoid bugs then it’s good place ! - Nice pool Bugs and lizards roaming around in our rooms and bathrooms really gave us the nightmare 🙄.
- Renae (5/5): Passable - There was a female staff member who was lovely and made delicious breakfasts. The fact that breakfast was included was welcome. The rooms were generally spacious, but our friends in a different room said the layout wasn't as helpful. The pool and gardens were well kept. There are lots of ants and the efforts to keep them under control in the rooms were inconsistent. Some of the linen was stained, so some more attention to cleanliness would be good. Our rooms were tidied every second day. The kitchenette had basic cutlery, but this varied and there was little care given to the number of people staying in the room (eg. 2 forks for 4 people). The path to the property is partly paved, but majority of it is broken and muddy, making bringing luggage in difficult. There is a sign near the road, but not more directions once you get inside. We met an angry dog by going down the wrong path - easily avoided with some signs. The distance from town and key sites was quite far and we needed to regularly get transport, which was an additional cost. It was fine for the price we paid, but a little bit of love would go a long way.
- Castellanos (6/5): Pleasant - The staff was friendly and the garden and the outside area was nice. Beds were comfortable and the size of the room was also good.
There is a small local store close by which is very handy. We have an animal inside the roof of one of the rooms It was very noisy and it was not possible to rest. On the bedside table was a bunch of hair from an old guest like if they cleaned their hair brush.
Before the guest arrives they should have a look at the room and check that everything is fine. There were a couple of snails and hips of ants in the showers.
The rooms needed some maintenance, the curtain on one of the rooms was falling.
- Linson (9/5): Superb -
- Komal (1/5): Worst experience ever - Nothing Let's start by the location of the place, in the middle of nowhere, not even a concrete paver path. It rained before our arrival, and we had to get to the place through a real narrow muddy/gravel path surrounded by bushes. So much so that we could feel the spider webs on her face while walking in.
We had booked 2 rooms with a kitchenette, breakfast included.The room was average looking and the washrooms appalling. The ceiling in one of the bathrooms was leaking on top of the sink, couldn't even wash hands without getting leaky water drops on your head. And the toilet flush wasn't working either. 😕 one may say, out of 2 bathrooms, one was useless except for shower. In the other bathroom, it was either hot water or cold water- no mix temperature. Luckily, we had 2 rooms, so we shared and survived. We used one for the shower and the other for the toilet. It's worth to mention that there is no ventilation in the bathrooms either.
Air con was functional with just on/off switch only, nothing else worked on the remotes.
Kitchenette area was so disgusting. it seemed like no1 has cleaned it in months. We couldn't stand the sight of it.
For breakfast, we had to wait for more than 1 hour for just an omelette and pancakes. When it arrived, the omelette was too salty, and the tiny bread slice were burnt. Pancakes were still raw, and the coffee was disappointing, too, with all the coffee powders floating on hot water as it is.
Moving on to the cleanliness, we gave some clothes to wash and got them back the next day. There were still stain marks on the shirt, and the socks and underwear were still dirty.
NO HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE AT ALL. Not even towel replacement.
There were spider webs, lizards, ants and tons of mosquitoes everywhere. I understand it was close to fields, so is pretty much all the villas in ubud. The least they could have done was spray some mosquitoe replent and keep the space clean and tidy aka maintain it.
- Marzviv (9/5): Superb - Nice, clean room. For one night it was perfect.
- Εμμανουέλα (3/5): Disappointment! - There were ants and spiders everywhere. The ants were crawling on the bed and us, so we couldn’t sleep all night.
- Marie (5/5): Passable - / Dont like like pictures
- Mita (8/5): Very good -
- Catherine (5/5): A little overpriced and incorrect advertisement not entire villa with private pool - Staff always in bali are amazing Advertising it is not a private pool sharing pool and facilities in villa inadequate for cooking but that appears normal for bali 😀
- Nele (10/5): Exceptional -

- Tim (5/5): Extremely dirty - The pool was ok, breakfast as well Very dirty. I mean very very very dirty!! Even after asking for cleaning it was dirty. They didn’t clean the bathroom at all during our stay. Towels were present from guests. Fungus in coffeemaker. Dead lizard in fridge, ants all over the place.. just extremely dirty
- Megan (7/5): Good -
- Jemma (7/5): A bit out of the city, takes a bit of effort to get into Ubud, but lovely gardens and pool - A beautiful garden, a little oasis in a busy city. Putu who works there was particularly friendly and helpful and made our stay easier by helping to organise transport and food and tours - she was very friendly and kind
- Talha (1/5): Whaaaaat a rubbish! - Seriously is that a place to live? There is nothing good I can mention about this place. If they give me money to live at it I ll not stay. *It 100 meters of the road. Taxi can't drop you at front. Entrance looks horrible at night.
* Dirty breakfast.
* lizards every where.
* you hv to sleep with ants
* spiders in the room and toilets
* no shampoo, conditioner, face wash, tooth paste.
* dirty toilets
* staff is very bad at english. You o communicate in few works of english.
* staff drinks and play card at reception with his friend on weekends
* poor quality of bads
I know you get what you paid for but for this one if they give me money I ll not stay in it. A place should maintain some minimum standards. Unfortunately I have to say if you wana have a good holiday please don't go here.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jerry (10/5): Exceptional - Quite and secluded
- Aya (9/5): Not as it seems, but wonderful stay with excellent staff - The villa had two very spacious rooms, a wonderful garden, and is to be found in an environment surrounded by nature. The staff is extremely friendly and seems to be involved with their customers. We would love to come back here some day! The TV didn't work, we did not use it during our stay and the pool was dirty, but our child did not care.
The variety of breakfasts shown on the pictures, is not offered. It's either banana pancakes or toast with an egg of your prepared liking.
- Adriana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - amazing stay at Pondok! thanks for being amazing! we miss you
- Ivana (9/5): Superb - The place is quite central and spacious. The price is reasonable and it has all the necessary utilities. A lot of ants in the room and the rooms smelled a bit like mold
- Archambault (9/5): Superb - Service from the host was impeccable. The breakfast was simple but delicious. The garden and the pool were also very nice.
- Arjun (6/5): Pleasant -
- Justine (8/5): Beautiful place and amazing staff! - Large, clean room. Very nice and quiet place. Far from the centre, you definitely need a scooter. The bathroom had bad smell.

- Hannah (10/5): super attentive staff - lovely staff members. the Villa was so comfy and practical. great location - scooters are definitely needed which you can hire nothing - it was all great!
- Sabine (10/5): Great stay for honeymoon and family trip. - We love this place so much. It was such a romantic place for honeymoon especially. Even the location is a bit far from ubud center but we love the quiet and serenity here especially in the morning. Staff named Putu is super helpful! Manage to fulfill our request even at odd time. Nothing. We love it so much.
