• Wim (9/5): Heerlijk zonnig verblijf in Gran Canaria - Locatie perfect dichtbij tov uitgaans en eet/drink centrum Yumbo. Het Gaymen only hotel is heerlijk kleinschalig met zwembad, uitstekend ontbijt en lunch mogelijkheden Kan bij het zwembad geserveerd worden evt. Wifi was slecht en na 2 dagen volledig weggevallen. Toilet bleef doorlopen, daar moest je steeds op letten.

• Torsten (10/5): Grandios - fabelhaft - ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!!!! - Das kleine Hotel und auch die Anlage, in der es steht, ist unfassbar schön! Klein, gemütlich, sauber und alles mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und dekoriert. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist klein, hat aber alles, was man benötigt. Eierspeisen werden ganz frisch zubereitet. Der Service ist unfassbar gut. Herausragend dabei ist "Ralf", der jederzeit alles für seine Gäste tut und fast alle 5 Minuten fragt, ob er noch was bringen darf oder seine Bereitschaft einfach mit einem Lächeln und seiner Anwesenheit zeigt und spätestens nach dem dritten Tag alle Wünsche der Gäste von den Augen ablesen kann ohne dabei im Entferntesten aufdringlich zu wirken. Grandios! Im Übrigen ist das gesamte Team sehr sympatisch und immer gut gelaunt. Man merkt, dass das Team sehr gut und auch gerne miteinander arbeitet. Auch die Zimmer sind super sauber! Der Toilettendeckel frisch desinfiziert und mit Blütenblätter dekoriert. Hier merkt man gleich: Die Gäste sind wichtig und sollen sich wohlfühlen. Hier gibt es keine Minibar , sonder einen Kühlschrank, der mit allerlei Getränken, Snacks und Schokolade gefüllt ist und sogar noch ein Gefrierfach hat. Was will Mann mehr?! Die Anlage ist super gepflegt. Täglich sorgt ein Team für Sauberkeit und hält alles in Schuß. Der Pool hat eine gute Größe und ist genau richtig temperiert. Nicht zu kalt und nicht zu warm und darf 24 Stunden benutzt werden. Habe ich noch nie erlebt! Die Atmosphäre ist sehr entspann, gemütlich und familiär. Man muss sich einfach wohlfühlen. In 5 Minuten ist man zu Fuß im Yumbo Center, was auch genial ist. Mir fällt beim besten Willen nichts ein!
• Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful relaxing oasis in the middle of Maspalomas. We had been to Maspalomas twice previously but our first time at Birdcage. We were so happy we decided to stay here. The room (we had the pelican cage) was exceptional. Clean, with all required amenities and a private garden space. The resort itself was exceptional. Pool was great, it’s not too overcrowded as Birdcage is a smaller property. Breakfast included was exceptional, with several options to choose from a small buffet style, but if that doesn’t suit, the team will cook you breakfast from a vast selection of other options. And the team - they are exceptional. Ralf and Roland did a fantastic job, nothing was too much trouble and they took the time to check in each day and see if there was anything required.
• Tobias (10/5): - Wir waren während der Maspalomas Pride für 1 Woche in der Unterkunft. Das Personal und auf die anderen Gäste sehr freundlich. Von Anfang an ein sehr familiärer Umgang. Haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer war sauber und schön eingerichtet. Die Minibar eine der besten die ich je in einem Zimmer gesehen habe, mit vernünftigen Preisen. Die Lage sehr zentral nähe Jumbo Center. Der Pool kann 24/7 benutzt werden, was nicht selbstverständlich ist in einem Resort. Das Frühstück erstklassig. Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt definitiv wieder her kommen. LG Dorian und Tobi :)
• Brian P (10/5): Bliss in Gran Canaria - We were tremendously impressed with our stay at the Birdcage. The staff arranged for our after hours pick up and return to the airport. Our rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The pool was extraordinarily clean, the breakfasts and lunches were delightful, and the staff was efficient and very friendly. We are already talking about our next trip to Gran Canaria and the Birdcage is our destination of choice!

Jose espescially is qu - I had a garden apartment that had its own living room aswell as a terrace with sun loungers to capture the afternoon sun. PERFECT! Access from the main gate to the apartments meant you had to walk very close, in fact, adjacent to the pool, abit too narrow, especially when guys are bathing/standing around the pool. Thats my only fault, all be it a minor one.

Jose was a joy each morning, entertaining and very efficient at his job. The resort is a short walk from the Yumbo Centre and ideally placed. My room was clean and comfortable and they surprised me with a special breakfast table and present for my birthday, which was unexpected. The service from booking too leaving excellent.

Traffic can be heard in the morning, but it’s a city so one should expect this.

The only thing we were a little disappointed with is the bar closes at 5pm. Would have been nice to sit and have a drink before going out in the evening. However, the mini bar in the room was very well stocked, so you still had everything you could want.

Had a private members' club vibe. Compared to what else is on offer in Maspalomas, this is by far the best hotel.

• Alunodomundo (3/5): Too much of a good thing. - Proximity to Yumbo. This is a case of too much of a good thing. The complex is small and immaculate. The staff pay attention to every detail. However, this means it is highly intrusive and there is no sense of privacy. They knew all my movements and odd little details about me. Staff, including non-cleaners, entered my room at will at any time of day. When I raised this with one of them, he shouted at me. I ended up only using this place as a place to sleep. There are better resorts with a better vibe around, admittedly not so close to the Yumbo.

• Paul (10/5): A paradise away from the stress and strain of everyday day life, that everyone can benefit from. - we were made to feel totally welcome & relaxed from the second we entered the resort. Everything was amazing, especially the staff, the wonderful Sema & Roland in particular did everything to make our stay special. So much so that we booked to come again in 7 months time for my birthday. Unfortunately we had a later flight home and had to be out of the room at noon. Whilst still able to stay within the resort, we had to change in a toilet and use shower at the pool before leaving for a long flight home. The resort excels in so many ways that access to some type of courtesy room would have been really welcomed.

• Emmanouil (10/5): Great gay-men-only resort near Yambo - Spend a week a this great gay-men-only resort in the heart of Maspalomas with my partner. Fantastically clean, well maintained and offered a great breakfast. Nice touches included free fizzy wine on arrival and with breakfast. The resort is clothing optional everywhere except the breakfast/bar/reception areas. It was very quiet while we were there but if you're looking for a party, Yambo centre is 5-10' walk away. Rooms are very comfortable and well presented and kept. If I were to change anything, it would be the mattress and pillows which my partner and I found not to our liking (too soft). I have to say that I was also expecting more of a "gay-family" style experience with recommendations for things to do from the owners (who we never saw), which was not really the case. The pool is eco-friendly with some sea-water setup, very clean, but also quite chilly. Hot water is also some eco-friendly setup which means you always have hot water but it might fluctuate a bit in temperature as you're using it. We definitely enjoyed our time there and would recommend this place.

• Chino (8/5): Better Staff? - Stayed here on January (totally off-season) for 4 nights. The place was an amazing escape from all the buzzing activities in Playa Del Ingles. Spent most days lounging in their day beds. Super nice and quiet. The owners were really welcoming and warm although they have one staff (shorter guy) with beard who seems to be very unhappy there and doesnt bother showing it to us. We would have understood if there were so many guests that it can be stressful. However during the entire stay we were just 3 or 4 couples staying. We hope he learns to treat guests better. The lady cleaners were both nice and kind, Andree is impeccable and really knows the job! It was unfortunate that on our two days we were treated badly by that staff. Upon checking out he also gave us the total amount handwritten numbers in a piece of paper expecting us to pay whatever number he writes down. Complete catastrophy. The manager came and gave us the real receipt after demanding for it.
