• Angela (9/5): Consigliato per raggiungere la foresta di bamboo - Posizione strategica per visitare la foresta di bamboo la mattina presto, essendo solo 10/15 minuti a piedi. Vicinissima a metro e tram. Essendo la ferrovia proprio dietro la struttura, credevo avremmo avuto problemi a dormire, ma in realtà è andato tutto bene ! Camera bella e spaziosa. Comodo aver potuto lasciare i bagagli per qualche ora post checkout. Nulla

• Greta (10/5): Fantastico soggiorno a Kyoto - Mi è piaciuto tutto, la struttura si trova in un quartiere delizioso di Kyoto, ricco di ristoranti, negozi ed anche attrazioni turistiche. La cosa importante è andare a cenare presto la sera altrimenti tutti i ristoranti chiudono intorno alle sei. La cosa più bella dell’hotel è che si trova attaccato alla stazione della metro, tra l’altro una stazione deliziosa. Stra consiglio anche di cenare in un ristorante tipico lì vicino Saganoya, cucina squisita r autentica !

• Julie Pat Joo (9/5): Wonderful stay away from the busy town, with excellent breakfast and dinner. Nearby Cherry blossom was pretty. - The room was clean and futon bed was comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The place is much less crowded than Kyoto main city area which is nice. The hot bath area can be cleaner.

• Robert (7/5): - Dicht bij station Toilet was stuk, kregen op aanvraag een andere kamer en dat bleek een kamer te zijn waar gerookt mag worden. Dat was niet van te voren verteld en daar kwamen we laat in avond (na een dag sightseeing) achter. De volgende dag kon na indienen van klacht er weer verhuisd worden, maar daar hadden we geen zin meer in. Dus gemengde gevoelens over het verblijf. De vrouwelijke receptionistes waren vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De mannelijke receptionist was helemaal niet behulpzaam en vriendelijk. De beheersing vd Engelse taal is ook zeer beperkt!

• Shuichi (9/5): JR嵯峨駅直結のお一人様にも優しいコスパの良い宿 - 眺望の良い部屋をリクエスト したら、閑静な ３階の嵐山側の室を用意されていた。 手話の研修センターを改修して ホテルにしたせいか？ 廊下も部屋もとても広く感じた。 二連泊しましたが、バイキング形式でない、 朝食は同じメニューではなくて良かった。 周囲に夕食が取れる店や 居酒屋が限られていれるかも。

• Karen (10/5): - Die Lage direkt neben dem Bahnhof war für uns super. Der Stadtteil ist früh morgens und abends urig und authentisch. Über Tag ist wirklich viel los. Das Personal war nett. Unser Gepäck konnten wir nach dem Checkout problemlos lagern und abends abholen. Ich würde das Hotel wieder buchen.

• Mary (7/5): Good location - Location. The rooms were a reasonable size and it was quiet. The staff were a bit abrupt. We stayed three nights. When I asked for more tea bags I was given two and told I would be given another two the following day. It seemed rather petty.

• Sholeh (9/5): - Loved the Japanese style room. We had been dressed into kimonos that evening and using the room for our photoshoot was perfect as it was Japanese themed. They came to set up our futons in the evening. It was very well located to all attractions nearby like arashiyama forest, Kimono forest, train station. Had a nice little balcony too. Because the assumption of the Japanese room meant using only the onsen, there was no bathroom in our room, just toilet. That may or may not be a problem. We didn't mind it but because one of us was unwell, they still had to go all the way downstairs to the onsen

• Eduarda (9/5): - Hotel excelente, funcionários super solícitos e gentis. Localização absurdamente boa literalmente ao lado da estação. O quarto é espaçoso, com cama espaçosa e super completo, e o hotel conta com águas termais, super recomendo. Ar condicionado muito fraco, passamos calor. Além disso a acústica não é tão boa então conseguimos escutar barulhos do corredor e de outros quartos, o que atrapalha na hora de dormir.

• Monia (7/5): - This hotel is simple but nice, as with most hotels in Japan it is very clean and the staff is very helpful. It is located minutes away from the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove so extremely convenient if you want to go there early in the morning to avoid the crowds. The hotel does feel a bit outdated and the matress and bedding aren't the best.

• Stacy (10/5): PERFECT KYOTO STAY - Right beside the train station- down the road from the bridge. The big bath was relaxing and clean. The floor mats were pretty hard. This was our first time using Japanese style beds- so this might just be how they are- Also- we wanted to eat at the hotel restaurant but were turned away because we didn’t make a reservation the day before. This was not a huge deal, 2 VERY good restaurants right across the street.

My room did not auto-lock as expected and they were easy to communicate with about this. Safe regarding my luggage, and prompt in fixing it. Although my room was non-smoking, I was down the hall from the smoking room and it showed. Although they did have a air purifier in the room which helped. And they tried in the smoking room with multiple devices..still. It’s hard to stop that smoke smell.

• Jan (9/5): A great stay - A nice western-style hotel in Arashiyama, reachable by both the JR San-in and Randen train lines. The bamboo forest is just a short hike away and there are many restaurants in the area. The Japanese-style tatami room, public indoor bath and breakfast made for a great experience. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Luggage storage as well as booking a luggage courier service at the front desk both worked without a hitch. If you use the luggage courier service, make sure to ask the staff when is the deadline for bringing the luggage to the lobby. For us, it was at 10 am the day before requested delivery time. Note that there is a curfew after midnight.

There isn’t a shower in the room. It was ok for us as we enjoyed the big bath to share but it could have been better if there was a choice.

Made a lovely display on the bed with a sign and some towels for my husband for his birthday, which was a nice touch. Great with communication! Wish the onsen was outdoors. Was very stuffy being inside. Step in the bathroom was quite steep and the restaurant did not cater for vegetarians.
• Mark (8/5): Very good - It was very close to the station, so that made travelling around kyoto easier. Good size room and bed I didn't like the bathroom set up. The bathroom door had a gap underneath it and small area. Also nearly everything in the area closes by 5-6pm
• Erin (8/5): - The location is great- steps from the train station. Not a lot nearby in terms of food and most things close early when the tourists leave for the day. Which means it’s pretty quiet at night. Rooms are good size, not cramped like most of Japan. Windows barely open and the AC was not working well when we were there.
