Guest Reviews
- Brenda K (2/5): Scam!! - When we tried to check into the room I had questions and the owner would not answer any questions and simply said "do you want to check in or not?" I chatted with hotels.com who tried to resolve the issue, I then got a phone call from the owner stating that he would not allow us to check in and he would not refund our money!! The restaurant across the road stated that the owner was banned from there and they hear a lot of these same stories and that no one has ever stayed there! Zero stars to this place - do not recommend!!!! We had to book at a different place for the night!
- Dana (10/5): Labor Day weekend - The people who own the hotel were the perfect guest there was a gas station in a bar and restaurant across the street and the company was great. There was free wood for a fire at night and a free coffee bar.
- THOMAS (10/5): - Our room was spotless, with comfortable beds. This property has a country store and tavern (with great fried perch!!) within walking distance. It doesnt get quieter than it is here. One of the top dry fly fishing rivers in the world is withing walking distance and the fishing truly is world class.
- John (10/5): - Great place to stay excellent staff, the coffee in AM was a great convenience.
- Michael (8/5): - Could have used a personal coffee maker, other than that it was a great place. Would definitely stay there again.
- James (10/5): - A great, if modest, hotel and super hosts! The joint across the street is fun and the food is very good.
- William (10/5): Great little charming Inn - wonderful, charming location and the owner, Bill, was fantastic. Talked with Jim on arrival and he told me the interesting history of the Inn and the surrounding area. Highly recommend!
- Candace (10/5): - Really clean and updated rooms. Quiet area
- Terrence (10/5): - Owners were great people - everything was clean and new
- Lauren (8/5): - nice place for a stay if you are looking for lodging in Lovells
- Louisa (10/5): Highly recommended - Second time, great spot!
- Tracy (6/5): - I thought the properly was on the riverside or in view. It wasn't. It was a one floor xoncrete structure with 6 doors outside in a parking lot behind the old building shown. It was modern, clean. No temperature control in room, we were freezing. Also no phone service to call number on door to be let inside.
- jeffery (2/5): - I never checked in. The road had construction i couldn't get down. They basically stoled my money by not telling me there was construction and rudely refusing to refund when they were notified of this.
- Julie (10/5): - Staff is very friendly. Easy to get to and if you’re in Lovells I recommend staying here! Beds are comfy. Bonus content: there’s a fan in the room!
- John (10/5): Great little place! - The owners were amazing! My arrival was delayed until after 10pm but they accommodated me . Room was very clean and comfortable!
- Antriksh (2/5): - IT WAS ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES I CAKE ACROSS.
THERE WAS NO ONE IN THE HOTEL, NO STAFF. NO ONE RECIEVED US.
WE WAITED FOR AN HOUR, KEPT KNOCKING ON THE OFFICE DOOR AND THEN FINALLY LEFT SONCE NO ONE CAME.
WHEN I CALLED FOR A REFUND, THE OWNER WAS A "RACIST".
HE WAS RUDE AND DID NOT GIVE US A REFUND. TO WHICH, WHEN I APPROACHED EXPEDIA, it was not their policy to refund someonw if the hotel does not refund.
So here I am, ruined my vacation, wasted my $100 and faced Racism
- Anthony (4/5): - The tv didnt work wifi no hood the refrigerator didnt work
- Matthias (10/5): - Very nice hosts, clean and quiet.
- Jack (10/5): Hidden gem - Easy to reserve, owner answered second ring, arranged for late arrival so didn't have to leave meeting, tavern and small grocery/fuel next door. Room was large, beds were perfect, shower was hot. Fridge and microwave in room. Ideal for short or long term.
- Emily (10/5): - Very clean. Wish there was access to ice.
- Kurt (10/5): - The owners live two doors down and greeted us at our room two minutes after we called. They provided dining recommendations at a town 12 miles away as nothing was open in town. Motel itself was roomy, comfortable, and clean.
- Ilona (8/5): - It was clean and kept up. Room was not in the building pictured but one behind it, also behind a gas station. Easy to find and some groceries at the gas station were convenient and a bar across street for a meal.
Beds are very high off ground not recommended for kids and TV in awkward place, couldn’t watch from bed. Quiet considering it sits at a main crossroads. Plenty of parking for my 14 ft fishing boat.
- Branden (8/5): - Owners were great. Friendly and knowledgeable about stuff to do in the area. Little quaint town was refreshing in a small town friendly vibe. Definitely go back there again.
- Lois (2/5): NO-STAY STAY - We arrived at 5:30. The doors were locked, the lights were out, there were no cars around. We looked all around and then left. We had to find another motel late in the
day. My payment was nonrefundable. We will try not
to stay at a "nonrefundable" place again.
- Erin (10/5): Above and Beyond the Call of Duty - The owner, Bill, and his wife went way above and beyond their duties to help us out in a pinch. We actually broke down 18 minutes from there. They came out to get us and our stuff after hours and gave us a ride back to the motel. The next day, Bill even gave us a ride to the next town up where our car was going to be worked on. We don’t know what we would have done without their help!
The motel is definitely “no-frills,” but if you like to fly fish, as my husband does, you will be very happy there with the river so close by. The friendliness of the people easily makes up for the rustic nature of the accommodations!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The motel is very clean. For a basic motel this is ok. Safe and fresh clean sheets. Double beds. The owner—call if you come in by 8 pm— kindly left the door to our reserved room unlocked for us as no one was present.
- Roger (4/5): Disapointed - Disappointed by the hotel and the room. Check in was so-so with the office being closed and had to call to get checked in. The restaurant across the street was pretty but the food was very disappointing
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is a small out of the way motel, but it was very clean and tidy. My only, very minor complaint is that the shower stall was a bit small.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The river was not far from the hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hidden gem for sure. It was perfect for where we wanted to be. The room was clean, the check in was very easy, and the owners were super nice. We will be going back when we head that way again.
