• Noury (8/5): Heerlijk! Geweldige sfeer en zeker een plek om terug te komen. - Locatie was top, op 5 minuten lopen van het strand en Ericeira centrum. De sfeer was goed, erg relaxt en personeel was erg vriendelijk en voelde direct goed. Het is een klein hostel waardoor het erg huiselijk voelt en de drempel erg laag is om elkaar te leren kennen. Er was een kleine whirlpool, nog niet in gebruik in maart maar in de zomer waarschijnlijk wel. Veel buitenruimte, fijne plek om de anderen te treffen. Er worden ook surflessen aangeboden, waarvoor je per dag kunt aanmelden. Erg fijn! In maart was er nog geen avondprogramma, zonder initiatiefnemers is het dan erg stil in de avond en is er geen gezamenlijk diner. De gezamenlijke ruimte smeekt om wat sfeer en gezelligheid! De surfschool was vrij prijzig, wel goed van kwaliteit. Er waren geen voorzieningen om iets te eten, er is geen ontbijt of bar. Zorg dus zelf voor voldoende snacks en bier in de avond! Supermarkt is om de hoek. De douches zijn op elkaar aangesloten dus wanneer meerdere mensen douchen komt er slechts een heel summier straaltje water uit de douche.
• Pedro Miguel (7/5): - Die Leute, die ich während meinem Aufenthalt kennengelernt habe, waren sehr net und ich habe sehr viel Spaß gehabt. Ich bin schon das 4. Mal im Hostel, und habe immer sehr lustig gehabt!

It was last minute decision to come up to Ericeira for a day and we are glad we did it. Room was spacious and comfortable, kitchen was great and it was fun running into co-habitants of the hostel. • Alicja (7/5): Good place if you’re looking to socialise and meet new people - Very nice staff and atmosphere. Good central location. Access to a well-equipped kitchen. I think it’s great if you’re looking for party and meet new people, maybe not ideal for a couple who’s more in a chill relaxation mode. Also great if you want to rent a surf board or have classes. Honestly on the pictures the place looks more new and fancy. The jacuzzi was cold and not that clean, no one would use it (and before I was excited about the idea of using it). Noise from the main street at night. For this price (we had a double room) we expected a bit more - but maybe it’s just that Ericeira is pricy and it was a weekend.

Le personnel est adorable, location de board et wetsuit sur place ! Je pense que le frigo à besoin d'un déglaçage 😅 Les lits en métal son plutôt bruyant dans le dortoir mais ça reste acceptable

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect – close to the beach and the town center. We’ll definitely come back!

Great outdoor space to hang out and enjoy the sun. The vibe is incredible here and felt like home. The location was perfect, walking distance from the village and the beach. The full kitchen made it easy to cook (a lot of people cook). Would definitely go back and recommend to anyone solo travelling! Beds were a little squeaky but it’s part of the experience, haha!

Group trips organised. walking distance from town and multiple beaches / reef breaks. Very fair priced surf rental. Highly recommend Would have liked the ability to easily get to further beaches with surfboards rented here, maybe a group minibus on one day to a specific beach.

The room got very hot in the night when it was full and there’s not fan or a/c so if you’re far from the window or there’s no breeze you just kinda sweat

• Augustus (10/5): Best hostel in Ericeira - great vibes in this hostel. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were clean and the water was hot in the showers. The staff made my stay an exceptional experience, I would 100% recommend to friends to stay here and would stay again myself.

• Georgina (3/5): If you want to sleep, go elsewhere - Staff were excellent! Also seemed like a good place to socialise. The amount of noise was very high so it depends on whether you'd like to sleep or not. The bunk bed was probably the worst I have ever experienced in my 20 years travelling- every little move made a horrendous noise and all three other bunk beds also made the same noise. You end up trying not to move much so as not to make the awful squeaking sounds. My room shared a wall with the kitchen and people were talking loudly until midnight and you could hear everything. The noise from the traffic outside on the main road was loud. Two tiny bathrooms to share between three rooms one of which was a 6 bed dorm, so there was some wait time. I did not cook so can't say about the kitchen. This just was not the place for me so ended up a waste of money.

• Daniel (10/5): Incredible stay at surfers den - Surfers Den was an incredible hostel! It really had a family vibe. Ailen, Tim, and Simona were awesome volunteers and made my stay memorable. I Was sad to leave but i know if the opportunity presents itself, I would 100% book here again.
• Georgina (8/5): Very good - - In a great location opposite the Praia des Pescadores - Sociable for solo travellers with a whatsapp group for activities. The hostel is very small with few people which makes it easier to socialise - The kitchen has good equipment available if needed - There is a pharmacy and supermarket next to the hostel - The beds have curtains for privacy - The bed didnt seem that clean - I would have preferred a small shelf for personal items on the beds
• Daniele (9/5): Superb - Great location, vibes and people. The facility has everything you need. The staff was very nice and made me feel as part of the community from the very first moment. I had a very positive experience, though if I have to mention just 1 thing that in my view could be improved is to give the guests the possibility to take a shower even after check out in the shared bathrooms if needed. We had our flight later in the afternoon and had to shower on the beach directly (which was not a problem anyway :)

• Susan (7/5): Good - Staff were really friendly, rooms were a nice size with lots of air and everyone was quiet at a reasonable time. Lockers too and they let me leave my laptop with them when I checked out. I then had to check back in and they gave me an empty room which was kind! I just lost my wallet there which was a shame but they let me back in to check everywhere again and was just unfortunate. And maybe it was between the restaurant and the hostel.

• Loann (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and good vibes! 5min from the center, and we walked to the beach to surf 2x per day. We rented good boards and suits for the cheapest price I've seen, and they even refunded our last day when we could not go surfing. All the shared amenities are clean and in good shape, kitchen well equipped. Friendly people most importantly, so look no further for your stay in Ericeira!

• Julien (9/5): Awesome vibe at this hostel - The vibe at the hostel and the people. Its rather small size makes it very familiar. There is a nice outside area with chairs to relax. The WiFi was good, it was very clean as well. You can take surfing lessons with the local school, which organize pickups right in front of the hostel, or rent the equipment yourself. The beds are not sturdy at all, so everything moves around and squeaks when you or someone moves in his bed. And the hostel is just next to a quite busy road. During the night the traffic stops though.

• Nadia (7/5): Good - It’s located near the town center, the “Vila”. The breakfast was decent with coffee, fruits, bread, and a dairy-free milk option. The people are very friendly and the hostel is an old house, so you feel a homely environment. The reception works just a few hours per day and closes at 17:30, so probably when you need to ask for a hair dryer or if you ran out of hot water, there’s no one to help. They don’t have a luggage room, so It’s important you have a pad lock in case you need to storage your suitcases. The hostel itself is not bad, but a little bit of organisation would do good. The drains in the showers were blocked with all the types of hair and the sink and the floor weren’t clean too. The mattress was too soft for me, and with no curtains. And you need to pay extra for a shower towel. Overall I think It’s expensive for what you get.

• Birte (4/5): Disappointing - The other travelers and the location. I make it short and simple. I don´t know why the raitings are that high because i thought it was really disapointing. The location is good but it´s at the main traffic road that means it is really loud. The bed are not nice to sleep in (squeaky) and it is pretty dirty. The Kitchen is just not nice in general and i wouldn´t have found cool people to hang with, if i would not have stayed there. To be honest, i feel like the owner is just done with it and is doing it because he has to not because he enjoys it.
