- David (5/5): The location sells this place, but the resort doesn't fulfill its end of this bargain. - The location was perfect for relaxing: spacious room, spacious balcony, riverfront facing which was perfect for birdwatching and, in general, for sitting and watching the river traffic go by. It also had a prime view of the sunset. The complimentary sunset cruise was a lovely touch. Everything is in serious need of a spruce up. More 'shabby' than 'shabby chic,' but the location makes up for all of that. The food offering was rather monotonous and, apart from the fish dishes, everything else tasted the same, no matter what it was. The swimming pool was enjoyed by many, unfortunately, and way beyond the stated closing time of 7pm which, for those staying in the cottage right next to it was occasionally annoying. The wifi didn't work at all, so you have to burn hotspot data from your phone. The hot water in the shower was hit and miss, and the room wasn't cleaned once whilst there.

The food is cheap but the restaurant doesn't look clean. We did get a lake side view which was the only saving grace. The room was decent but nowhere close to a 4 star rated property's standard. The fittings in the bathroom are pretty old. The property was unmaintained, looked pretty bad with broken animal figurines( supposedly for little children to enjoy).The road to this resort is very narrow, any vehicle bigger than an innova is going to get into serious issues navigating through the stretch of road. The reception of this resort reminds one of these little government offices.. smelly and unorganised. No real effort in trying to maintain standards of any kind, let alone a supposedly 4 star resort. Highly overcharged for a property which at best that can be rated a 2 star.

Other than that not really much to like. Access to the property is through a very narrow road next to the backwater, to be avoided if you plan to arrive after dark. Room and bathroom looked really outdated, upgrades needed specially the bathrooms. Basic in-room amenities such as towels and soaps were very bad. Food quality was ok, with limited options, and you can't really go out at night from this location. We saw few families ordered food from outside and eat. A very small pool, more of a big tank with water filled...

They went out of their way to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. - *Excellent Food:* The food at the resort was top-notch! The chef did an excellent job of preparing delicious meals that catered to our tastes. - *Unparalleled Location:* The resort's location is simply stunning. The views of the lake are breathtaking, and the surrounding area is peaceful and serene. - *Exceptional View:* Our room had an exceptional view of the lake, which was a perfect way to wake up each morning. - *Room Service:* While the food was excellent, the room service could have been better. There were a few instances where our requests were delayed or forgotten. - *Housekeeping:* Unfortunately, our room was not cleaned on the second day of our stay, which was disappointing. - *Staff Training:* During our stay, the pest control staff entered our room with their shoes on, which was not very considerate. I would recommend that the resort provides more training to its staff on cleanliness and consideration.

Photos aren’t accurate of the accommodation at all. The bedrooms and bathrooms are dirty and the facilities are outdated. The pool is super grotty so not swimmable. The location is tricky to get to (would have to be by rickshaw or foot as the road is so narrow). The icing on the case? Staff tried to scam us of extra money.

Having travelled lots, we can honestly say this is one of the best places we've stayed. A real gem find. Communication was sometimes difficult especially by phone (for food ordering). Face to face was easier.

Cleaning agent in the bathroom smelled very unpleasant. Communication via booking was slow. Pool did not look clean.

- Kevin (1/5): This was the most disappointing and appalling hotel we experienced in our 3 week travels in India. - The location on the lake & view were spectacular. The management and the staff were unhelpful, un-attentive and surly. The ambiance was poor. The choice and quality of the food was very poor. The dinner was appalling in both quality and service. The room was OK but needed refurbishing. The white bathroom towels were worn out and grey. This was advertised as a 4 star hotel but there must be some mistake, this is a budget/backpackers hotel at best. We booked a 2 night stay but we stayed just one night and checked out asap.

- Catherine (8/5): A beautifully located and charming boutique hotel with lots of character. - Stunning location. Very nice rooms - we had the King rooms with a verandah looking onto the water. The rooms were clean and spacious. I would happily visit again. I thought the pool could have been a bit cleaner as could the pedaloes.

There was a leech in the bathroom and mosquitoes everywhere. 3. The resort is in a very dilapidated state. The rooms are very dated. 4. There are big red ants everywhere.

Having chased for an upfront payment before we arrived, they then tried to charge us the full amount. After 30mins of them calling various people and arguing with us they then did show that we had previously paid. However, they then took £1000 instead of £100. As we were leaving I got a notification of this and raised it to them. They did not apologise but instead gave us a mug and said they would sort. We have not heard from them since and now having to raise a fraudulent claim with the bank.

- Mary (4/5): Not worth the money - the hotel absolutely does not match the photos on Booking. the domain is in poor condition and is in urgent need of maintenance. When we arrived at our room it was quickly clear that the room was dirty. Since there were many stains and small animals on our sheets, we asked to change them. continued the air conditioning leaked on the bed. this hotel is in dire need of maintenance and they need better management, especially for the high price they charge per night. We were promised a breakfast buffet, but when morning came there was no buffet and we had only a few Indian options. Looking for something sweet, we saw some cornflakes in the back of the kitchen which we had to ask to take. Upon tasting, the cornflakes were old.
