Outstanding facility, superb rooms with excellent beds The grounds are well kept and great with mini seating areas designed with recycled materials for a casual funky atmosphere Not walking distance to the marina but a quick drive This will be my go to place when I’m in Bandon
- Winngrip (2/5): Couldn't give less than 1 star - So here is my review of the B.Side Motel and RV park, in Bandon, Oregon, 1/8/26. So looked them up On Line and primary was “pet friendly” for the Black Dog. Looked good and good price and so I booked it and paid and got my conformation. All set, right? Thursday I got a nice message from them at 8:58am with all my info. I left home at 11:45am for my 4hr drive. After 2hrs of driving I stopped to let the pooch go potty. Checked my messages cuz I never do the phone while driving. There’s a message from the motel “reservation cancelled” no staff to clean the rooms, really having worked around motels for years, I question this for an excuse. So I call them and it gets worse and is the reason for this rant. After all their Blah Blah Blah they tell me that there are a couple of other places that have the room I want and they are all friends. So I say to pick one and let them know that I will take the room for the 3 days. They say NO, I need to do it from 2hrs away while on the road. I say you just called them and confirmed that they had the room, they say NO it’s a privacy thing. Ridiculous. I say you just talked to them just tell them I am coming and will take the room. Still NO. Well folks so much for Customer Service and Common Courtesy and good Business practices. I question whether they ever called anyone and I would have been left hanging when I got there. So good luck dealing with the B.Side Motel folks, as for me it’s a SOLID PASS.

The rooms are decorated in such a fun way that they made me want to book here, and then I noticed many thoughtful things included in the rooms that made me want to come back. The bed was super comfortable and the bidet was a nice surprise too. I'll definitely stay here again when I come back to Bandon!

- TBTuba (8/5): Cute Well Intentioned Spot on US 101 - First of all, this is a mostly positive review of a very cute and well intentioned spot on the Oregon Coast that could use a little bit of Love. We stayed here for one night in October in Cabin #1 during a tour of the PNW and Oregon Coast. The rates are reasonable for what you get, but we felt that there were several issues that prevented the B. Side from getting a full 5 Stars. The Positives: -The whole place is adorable, situated in a small, renovated motor hotel style accommodation that probably dates back to the 50/60’s and has been renovated and updated with as many modern amenities as possible using the existing infrastructure. I had forgotten how much I love just parking directly outside my accommodation and walking straight out to my parking spot. With so many closed motels up and down the coast, I wish more places like this existed. There are seating areas with benches and BBQ grilling areas. We arrived too late to use these, but they are available. -Quiet: The motel enforces quite hours and although it was full, it was very quiet after 9:00 -Convenient: The b. Side is located directly off US 101 about 7 minutes from the highway. It’s easy to find with GPS directions and easy to make your way out. The Not So Positives: -The cleanliness/maintenance of Cabin #1 was a little suspect. The motel provides a kettle and coffee maker and we wanted to use the kettle to make tea, but it looked like it hadn’t been fully cleaned out from the previous user. The fuzzy “blanket” on the bed seemed unnecessary and not really useful but also like it probably wasn’t regularly cleaned. Actually, nothing in the room or bathroom felt overly “clean”. It was fine, but just felt a little grimy. The room comes with a microwave and a fridge both of which looked like they had seen better days. It looks like the thought was to buy some cute “vintage” looking appliances with no thought as to what would happen when things would inevitably get worn out/dinged up or chipped. There were also a couple of burnt out light bulbs in our room. Your Mileage May Vary: Depending on how you feel about these things, you may want to consider the following. -Small: This is a renovated, vintage motel with vintage motel sized rooms. The floors are bare concrete and the bathroom is large but oddly laid out. We were two adults in a King Room with two bags and it was very tight. -No Front Desk: You get a text message with a lock code to get into your room about a day before your arrival. There is no front desk and I’m not sure what would happen if you encounter a problem late at night. We arrived after 10 pm and luckily had no problems. Very “Mom & Pop: The towels, bathroom amenities and lighting felt more like it came from someone’s home rather than a motel supply company. The bathroom decor was solid and provided cotton swabs and Q-Tips in little jars. -WiFi Available but No Traditional TV: Everything is done via App or WiFi. The room comes with complimentary access to Roku TV, a couple of streaming services but if you want to have your normal TV routine, you may be out of luck. Concluding: Overall it was a fine experience. There isn’t much in the way of accommodation this far down the coast and the b. Side was fine for our needs for one night. The vintage boutique style was great but could use some updates.

- Seniye (10/5): - The property is stylish and modern and check in was easy once I called to learn my room number and code. The room had nice extras and thoughtful additions. The room is spotless , too. The only area of improvement is the noise level. Perhaps double-paned windows would help. The walls are thin and I can easily hear my neighbors. I’m a light sleeper so even though the bed is comfortable sleep will likely be difficult.

- Passport14135 (10/5): Best Place Ever!!! - My husband and I took our newly converted Ford Transit camper van up the Oregon coast and and rented a TV spot the b.side for a couple of nights in late July. We had our little dog with us. We could not have been more pleased with the place !! in addition to having the cleanest bathrooms at any place we have ever stayed ( including fancy hotels) they had a heater in it so you weren't cold when you got out of the shower PLUS washcloths by the sink and thick terrycloth mats to step on when you got out of the shower!! Super nice family that takes pride in cleaning. There are a few special places to sit and have conversation - some covered with little couches and chairs with soft cushions and lighting.. and lights hung all around in the evergreen trees that ensure privacy. They LOVE dogs!! as do we! Absolutely marvelous place in every way - almost don't want to write this because everyone will know and it will be OVERBOOKJED all the time!!! - Nichole (10/5): - Booked for 3, us and daughter. I didn't realize the 3rd bed was kinda a couch bed. It was super neat in its own space and my daughter said it was comfy. That being said, might be a tad small for an adult. Our bed and pillows were amazing. Very clean, quiet and decorated very cute. I felt like i was on a roadtrip in the 1960s and found a cute motel. Sweet smoking area and close parking. No hallways! No office, its all contact less. It was very cozy. Its not walking distance to anything really but a few minutes and you are in town! You are right off the road if thats something that would bother you, not real busy. Overall i loved it. Maybe a tad expensive for the size of the room but nice. Cute grounds

- sherim912 (10/5): Hidden Gem - Hidden gem in Bandon! I’m actually afraid to rate this a 5, and then tell too many people because it will be full every time I want book our own Beach stay. Our family had two motel rooms & two RV spots and all were great. The property is so cute, and well maintained and the owners are awesome. We will definitely stay here every time we vacay in Bandon.
- OCRoadDog (8/5): Decent Pit Stop With A Better Than Expected Setup - At first glance, B.Side comes across as a revampled motor lodge (which it is), but it surprisingly overdelivers with it's attention to detail and thoughtful design. Check in / Check Out was a breeze via text, beds were comfier than I had anticipated, and the cherry on top was the delicious in-room pour over coffee! Also, the on-site washer and dryer was a godsend for two weary road-trippers. Only caution is the bidet. How do I put this.... Let's just say the PSI is set dangerously high and the water was the temperature of a winter garden hose. A wicked combo that I won't soon forget. But besides that, B.Side hits the spot! Cruise in and chill!

There were people who were talking a lot outside our room multiple times. Without management onsite to help mitigate this is was less than great. The concepts of “b” were fun.

- Flyer67802883431 (2/5): Don't Go There - Check in time 4pm. Was told to call for a room entry code. I tried calling many many times. The call would not go through many many times. I tried to connect with my computer but it required a password which I was not given. I had to bother one of the campers to see if he could find out a password so I could connect. He was successful (welovedogs). No one had emailed me with any info. When we got into the room we were not happy. NO CLOSET?! and no table to to put my computer on so I could work on my laptop. Customer service is a joke.

The motel style is also convenient since you can pull right up to your door. The room itself has been recently updated and stylishly decorated. The bed it big and comfortable with plenty of pillows. The bathroom is ok , I wish the sink was a little larger but its overall fine. For the responsible price I would say it's a good deal. I would definitely stay again. The location is excellent since its a short drive to town or Bandon Dunes
- Jill (10/5): Best funky find - Everything about this place is adorable. The decorations the amenities. They let us check in early which was an added bonus as my husband was playing golf all day. The decorations are funky and fun and the poor over coffee is amazing. Love that you can pull right up to the door instead of limping luggage upstairs after 17 days on the road. Highly highly recommend.

It was very stuffy in the room, a dehumidifier was running when we arrived but at night we had to but turn it off overnight because it was too loud. We could hear the neighbors through walls.

There is plenty of space between sites and we can park a tow vehicle in the same area. The owner has gone out of his way to make everything as pleasant as possible. Check in is seamless. The sites are clean and we are happy to see a new sewer system has been installed. There is a place to bbq and another to go and relax. The bathroom/shower/laundry room is immaculate as always. Well stocked with TP, small hand towels and bath mats. Thank you for a great experience!

- Carolyn (10/5): You Won’t Be Disappointed - We stayed here on our final night of our trip up and down the Oregon coast. All of our lodging was good (I read reviews) but this was my favorite place. It’s very clean, very comfortable, quiet and roomy. But what makes it special is all the unique details. Very nicely done! Hulu Live was another nice touch. We don’t live far and love Bandon, so we will return soon now that we found a great place to stay.

- Mariah (10/5): - This is one of the most unexpectedly lovely places I have stayed in recent years. The property is immaculate (both inside and out) with so many funky beautiful places to enjoy outside. The room was a vibe with so much attention to the little details (all the adorable containers with things you might need!). Loved it and slept like a dream.
- tdubya_12 (10/5): Funky in every great way - Best mid-price stay we had at the Oregon Coast. This place is so well-appointed and eclectic/funky in every great way. Not near the beach or restaurants/shops, but who cares, you can be there in a couple minutes. We loved B.Side and will stay there again. Highly recommended.
- Samantha (10/5): - I feel like I am staying in a high end hotel or a rich friend’s guest house. The room is comfortable and has so many amenities, you would not expect. There is a quiet fan, air purifier, noise machine/speaker, pour over coffee that is beautiful, candy, tea… seriously it is so thoughtful. Then there are the b. Branding stickers on each item. It is adorable.

- Alexis (2/5): - Upon arrival I was unaware that there was no host and the it was keypad access, which was fine at first. I got into the room and I thought it was awesome. The concept of the retro room was very cool there were vinyls on shelves all around the room, as well as retro gaming consoles that you could play. I decided that I’d take a closer look at one of the vinyls from an artist I wasn’t familiar with. When I picked up the vinyl the shelf looked like it had never been cleaned or touched since it was put up. I didn’t think much of it because it is a place that somebody would possibly forget to clean, but it just got worse from there. Underneath the beds was not swept nor were the floors. The bathroom floor was wet, possibly from a leak in the toilet. I know the shower hadn’t been cleaned because there was a used razor left with lots of hair stuck in it. One of the beds had a pillow that smelt like urine. I flipped the pillow over to look at the other one and it had little spots of blood on it. Since there was no host I couldn’t ask for more toilet paper or towels when I ran out. I paid lots of money to stay in this room just for it to be the most unclean place I have ever stayed in. The concept of this motel is great but it’s the cleanliness that really needs some work.

- Michael (10/5): b. Rilliant - Very clean, comfortable and well appointed room. King size bed, large flat screen, upgraded everything. Parking 6 feet from door with covered porch/patio. Love the style and the little touches, obviously someone who knows comfort. Dog friendly with big run and sticks if your mutt is inclined. b. Rilliant
- Diana (10/5): - Clean, comfortable room with lots of fun extras to find. About a mile to Old Town that we easily walked. One block to a grocery store. We will definitely stay again next time we are in Bandon.
- Rochelle (10/5): - I normally don't do reviews but I absolutely ADORED the b.side motel. It was clean, quiet, quaint and cozy. Rooms weren't huge but the bed was the most comfy I've ever slept on. I loved their retro looking microwave and mini fridge. I also loved their little coffee/tea bar in the room along with other "might need" items like q-tips, cotton rounds and such. They even had earplugs in case your patner snores. The decor was simple and elegant. Very pleasant place to spend a stormy evening.

Very comfortable bed with lots of pillows, cute sitting area, fridge, microwave, nice restroom. Shower was nice with plenty of hot water and good pressure. Toilet has a bidet! Additional touches in room included fresh ground coffee, mints, chocolates, and more! Highly recommend this place, will stay again!
- Jill (10/5): A Nice Surprise Motel. - This place really surprised me. It looked like a nice motel. But they were the extra mile inside. The room was spacious with King size bed. They had a laundry, which no one wants to do during vacation but it works out very very nice. Care keeper brought me soap. They really did a nice job
- rickleed (10/5): Cozy! - We spent a night at the b.side motel in Bandon. I was originally hesitant, a RV park. Do I really want to stay there? Yes! If there would have been any rooms available the next night, I would have stayed again. The room was small, but it was clean and had a super comfortable king-size bed. There was a mini fridge with a freezer. Chocolates, mints, comfortable pillows, soft blanket, even a condom. The bathroom was also small, but again had everything we needed. My only suggestion would have been a heavier shower curtain. The shower is small and the curtain lightweight, so it kept blowing into the shower and trying to cling to my legs. Outside, there is a smoking hut for those who want that, a cannabis hut, tables and grills, various seating areas. It's a very comfortable, relaxed area to hang out. Next time we are in Bandon, we'll definitely stay here again.

My sister and I, and her two kids stayed, and the manager was absolutely amazing, got us an extra room at the last minute, and did everything he could to accommodate us. The rooms were super cool and it was a great stay! I highly recommend this place!

- Sirintorn (10/5): Enjoyable and Peaceful Stay - The motel experience exceeded my expectations. The grounds are lush with vegetation. My stay was enjoyable and peaceful. It was quiet, very clean, comfortable, and cozy. Walkability is fair especially is you are a walker. Stores and restaurants are nearby. Parking is reserved in front of each room which means you don’t have to stress over finding a spot for your vehicle. The WiFi works well just in case you need to work remote. I would definitely recommend staying here.
- Jill (10/5): Cozy and Comfy - Charming, refurbished motel and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever experienced! Just a little pricey for how tiny the room is...Rm #6. (Two people would be bumping into one another at all times.) Not sure if other rooms are any bigger. They've done a fantastic job with the decor- (but a dimmer switch on the overhead light would be welcomed). Ice machine would be nice, even if the guests had to pay for ice...

- heyimmaegen (8/5): Very pet friendly spot on the coast but could have been cleaner - I stayed here for one night while visiting the coast since they advertise themselves at pet friendly. My small dog was very welcome here, there was even dog waste bags on a tree. There is a small pet fee, but this is fine. However, if I have to pay an extra pet fee (I assume for cleaning) then I expect the room to be clean. Our duvet/comforter smelled of wet dog very strongly, we didn't realise this until we got into bed quite late and with no staff on site, we decided to just try get some sleep since we had an early start the next day, so we were unable to use the comforter. Pillows were ok. Shower was warm and decent pressure with ice toiletries too. The walls are quite thin, you could hear a lot of other guest noise through the night, unfortunately our neighbours seemed to be awake until like 5am making noise. They supply local ground coffee for pour over which was lovely, it's always great to support local businesses! There were some chocolates/sweets too. The fridge was great to store cold drinks before heading out the next day. No breakfast options, but we brought our own breakfast muffins. It was a convenient location but given the price AND the pet fee, I was disappointed in the strong wet dog smell. I don't think I'd stay here again because of this.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Adorable, remodelled property with wonderful room and big TV. Tiny tiny shower and a tiny sink that was actually kind of hard to use. But the whole thing was really cute. Our walls were paper thin, and the group next to us was really loud when we arrived so we were worried, but they seem to have disappeared so we were spared from noisy night. I would stay here again if I was in the area.
