- Lachandras (10/5): Relaxing - I like everything about the stay, everything was great. I have no complaints. I like everything.
- Lafayette (8/5): -
- RickSimp80 (8/5): Great location and comfortable amenities. Highly recommended stay! - A clean and comfortable hotel with extremely friendly staff. I stayed here many times for work purposes, and I highly recommend this location. Lots of construction hinders the use of certain amenities, but this is understandable in the improvment of the property.
- terryjp2025 (10/5): Thanks for caring, sharing and being there! - The Staff exceeded my expectations and made my visit a delectational and therapeutic experience. They should be cloned 10,000 times and placed in ALL of the US facilities.

- Charna (8/5): Too expensive for one night but still good accommodations. - The staff was friendly and we had a beautiful view of the Mississippi River. It’s under renovation and needs more work, especially the floors.
- Crawford (10/5): -
- Rachal (1/5): Bad smells - Nothing Water smelled like eggs bed was uncomfortable
- Melissa (10/5): -
- James (8/5): Friendly staff and clean hotel, renovations ongoing - The staff was extremely friendly and kind. They were very willing to help resolve any issues that we may have. The bed was comfortable, and the rooms were extremely clean. Only one of the two elevators was working. Also, it’s not that we did not like it, but there were multiple renovations going on so several areas were marked off with tarps in the lobby and under repair.
- Tina (10/5): Enjoyable - Clean. No pool towels at the pool.
- Kim (10/5): - Comfortable, clean, & quiet! All 3 things I look for in a hotel room.
- warner (9/5): - Cleanliness of the room. Comfortable bed. Esthetics Carpet in the hall needs to be steam cleaned. Not enough parking space.
- SHABNAM (10/5): Overall, my stay was comfortable and the service was excellent - I had to step out for work-related reasons and needed to leave my family at the hotel for a bit longer. I inquired about the possibility of a late check-out, and the staff were extremely accommodating. I simply asked if I could check out approximately an hour and a half later than scheduled, and they immediately agreed, assuring me it was not an issue. This was my main concern during our stay, and I was very pleased with how helpful and understanding the staff were. There was nothing I found to be of concern during my stay. Everything met or exceeded expectations.
- Kalia (10/5): -
- karinab976 (2/5): Don’t! - Everything in this Hotel is awful. It’s dirty and old and it smells bad.
To be fair- the staff does its best.
But this is not a hotel to stay at and absolutely not Marriott standards.
- STEVEN (10/5): - Martina was super friendly and very accommodating.
- LaKesha (8/5): - Nice, quiet stay.
- Efrain (4/5): - We stay at this hotel 2-3 times a year during our roadtrips back home. We have noticed that over the years deferred maintenance has only accumulated and not been addressed properly. It is unfortunate since there are very few hotels in Vidalia of this caliber
- Marie (9/5): Très bien - Très bon hôtel
- Gladys (9/5): -
- Sheri (6/5): - The property was undergoing a renovation which effected our stay. Although the staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Ramsey (2/5): - House keeping never came clean the room , there was dead bugs in the curtains and long black curly hair strings in the toilet , we barely checked in because the computer system went down !!
- sprater09 (4/5): Not Good... - We had a very sub par one night stay here. First, the building was under some kind of construction throughout the hotel. The first room we got the walls were peeling off and the carpet was coming up. Room was just not clean. We got the second room. The walls were not peeling, but it still wasn't as clean as I would expect of a hotel that cost $250 a night.. There was leftover hair in the shower and it just wasn't clean. Again, i may be okay if it cost $99 a night, but we paid $250..
The staff was great. No complaints. Very friendly and helpful but unfortunately the Hotel does them no favors. Good location with good views of the river. Seemed safe. Breakfast was good and the staff in kitchen was great.
I wouldn't stay here again. I felt I was drained of $250 for a sub par motel 6.

- Demetris (10/5): Other than not getting house keeping for 3day overall I enjoyed the stay - I liked everything I didn’t like how I didn’t get room service 3 days in a row
- Demetris (7/5): Other than not getting room service it was fine - It was fine I didn’t receive house keeping at all
- GeNaro (10/5): - Great
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room appeared clean, but there was a strange smell in the bathroom and the closet.
- LouisianaRandy (10/5): TownePlace in Vidalia just raised the Marriott bar for service! - I am a VERY loyal Marriott patron, and suprisingly, this TownePlace Suites just raised the bar! It wasn't the area, but it is BEAUTIFUL at night on the river, it wasn't the decor, but it was VERY nicely furnished and VERY comfortable, it was these 2 things. This is the FIRST MARRIOTT PROPERTY EVER that I walked into my room and didn't have to run to the thermostat to turn it down. It was AMAZING!!!! As soon as I walked into my room, I felt like I was walking into my house with the air set perfect!. But, before that, when I walked in, Delvin was the absolute most pleasent person of my day. His smile and attitude are infectious! He made me feel right at home, thanked me for my service, thanked me for my loyalty, and even offered to get my some cookies. HE WAS AMAZING!!!!! And then in the morning, the breakfast staff was so pleasent asking if I needed anything and even said to have a wonderful day. Then, as I was checking out, Engwin just sealed the deal. She was so sweet and genuine, and again thanked me for my service and we just had a wonderful chat for a brief moment before she wished me a wonderful day. This Marriott property just made my day! As I'm writing this review, I'm still smiling! If you're in the area, and need a bit of Southern Charm, you just found it! And I live in South Louisiana, so that says a lot. Great hotel, great location, great view, great people! Enough said! Thank you so much for making my stay perfect!
- Sigalit (5/5): Bad service in nice hotel - Big rooms, good location The staff was very bad! Many logistics problems, nothing to eat in the breakfast, washing machine- not working, pool- closed, key don’t work, give our room to another couple
- brendahO8440RG (10/5): River views, rest and comfort - Nice last year but renovating was in the plans. This year our floor was completed. The floor above us was being renovated, but we never heard them. We sometimes stop here when we are traveling. We love to watch the ships/barges. The breakfast buffet was well provided including attendants to help should any need arise. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Last time we tried to sit outside but was raining. This year we were able to enjoy it more. It was not a busy evening as it was Easter. There were almost no places open for our evening meal except Popeyes chicken which we drove nearby and brought some back and sat outside by ourselves. It was nice. There were people on the river walk periodically. Nice evening The room was very comfortable and the AC working properly. Everything was as we expected and we will probably stay here again in the future. In times past we took time to go across the river in Natchez and enjoy some of the homes and the food there, but this time we had to be on our way the next morning. Pleasant staff btw. A nice stopping point when we get a late start to our day. We did appear to have a "resident" cat who politely stayed near enough to melt our hearts into sharing a bit of our meal. That probably would not be something many would enjoy...but she was actually a well behaved stray. If you stay here you have a GREAT view of the river and the bridges at night. They are lit up and very pretty. The view across the river is of old Natchez where you just have to take some time to go and visit.
- Tanesha (10/5): - Staff was extremely friendly
- Haley (7/5): Good - Gym was nice
Rooms wear clean Price too high for the location.
Pool was dirty

- James (8/5): - would recommend
- fredyt3 (8/5): TownPlace - Vidalia, LA - This hotel met our expectations. Easy to locate, affordability, updated property, well appointed rooms. The few issues we had were quickly resolved. The refrigerator was not working so we received a replacement. Also, because we had guest coming for dinner we needed the full complement of kitchen accessories and they too were promptly provided. They have a laundry on site, which for us was great.
Diedre who managed the breakfast was outstanding and made sure a nice selection was available. We had a very positive experience.

The hotel was undergoing some major repairs which took away from the ability to use the interior spaces, but we were still able to eat breakfast.
Overall it was a nice stay and we will be back again
- David (10/5): - Carpet was showing some wear at the transition to tile in places

- Donna (10/5): Exceptional - I love how the employees made you feel comfortable and at home. Wonderful hospitality!!!!!!!! I will be back!!!!!
- Byron (7/5): 7/10 since we paid so much money. - Proximity to our venue. Staff seemed overwhelmed with 100% occupancy. Breakfast stayed without items. Second day didn’t even have certain items. Also overheard from a staff member that one of the two elevators has been out for months. Room had several issues. Some lights didn’t work, coffee service didn’t have cream or sugars, room could have been cleaner.
- Marcayla (10/5): Exceptional -

- Gay (2/5): Sub-par experience. Poor value for the money. Certainly not "up to" Marriott expected standards. - Mediocre. Facility is in bad repair. Elevators out of order our entire stay. Musty smell and damp in room. Air conditioning not working in the hallways. Plaster falling from ceiling in the breakfast/tv area. Mildew around door in room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice updated hotel in Vidalia - Rooms were clean
Bed was comfortable
- Sonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jerry371 (10/5): Vidalia stay June 2024 - We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the following staff members of this wonderful hotel: Serena, Savanna, Martina and Rob
These folks made our stay enjoyable. They are a true asset to this hotel.
Check in and out very easy.
Room was very clean and spacious.
WIFI was excellent.
Breakfast was very good. Coffee was great.
Evening cookies provided by the hotel was a plus.
This is our go to hotel when we visit Vidalia.
- JAMES (10/5): - Very nice hotel. Wish the breakfast would start at 6AM instead of 6:30AM. Many guests were there early trying to get food. Mostly because they, like my wife and I, had appointments or work for 7AM. We will stay there again
- Miriam (10/5): Amazing views - Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Such a clean and nice room
- Miriam (10/5): Amazing views - Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Such a clean and nice room
- Mark (9/5): Great place to stay. - Great breakfast. Could not get room on river side.
- Jamie (9/5): Great! -
- Karen (7/5): Good -
- dalerF8396IV (8/5): Great with one big exception - Five stars except for the shower. The room was clean and quiet. Bed was good. Common areas clean. Only one elevator working, but it wasn’t a problem on a Tuesday night. The lobby/breakfast room was clean and spacious with a view of the Mississippi River. Staff members were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, plenty of options. No problems with the cleanliness of the bathroom, but whoever designed the shower should have to use it for the rest of his/her life. I know it’s trendy, but showers should not be open. See picture. We’ve seen it in Europe, but it’s a dumb idea. Water all over the bathroom floor. And nothing to hang my towel on except a hook. Good thing we only stayed one night or we would have needed housekeeping.
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Keyonna (10/5): Exceptional -
- W (4/5): Incredible security lapse - The man who rented our room the day before us came back and told the front desk that he left something in the room. THEY HANDED HIM A KEY TO OUR ROOM!! He walked in on my wife and I, which terrified us. Our dog charged at him snarling and he left - as confused as we were. When I discussed the incident and our security concerns with the front desk, they eventually apologized but offered no financial concession. This was and incredible security breach. If it had happened an hour earlier we would have been out on a walk , my wife’s purse would have been in the room, and the man would have had full reign to go through our possessions. Incredible security breach caused by poor staff training. We had a future reservation here and are cancelling it.
- Salyse (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tahniyah (9/5): Superb -
- Brianna (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (8/5): - Beautiful view of the Mississippi River.
- Lashecia (2/5): - Upon check in I wasn’t aware nor was it on the website about a 250$ incidental fee. It was Christmas time I couldn’t pay cash the money had to be on my card and i would have to 5 to 7 days to get my money back on my card. 250 and 2 days before Christmas I need my 250$
- Mccatty (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was extremely helpful,
- Toni (10/5): - Check in staff was awesome, very professional.
- Traci (6/5): - The lady that checked us in the night we arrived was very hospitable and the ladies in the dining room also were exceptional. The sitting area and dining area was nice and clean. The view from the room was very nice. The room was not as expected from pictures in size, there was a smell in the room like WD40 (same as in elevator). Most of the furniture and appliances had rust on them and the glass on shower wasn’t cleaned well.
- Summer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (1/5): Definitely not clean, comfortable, or kept up. - The location was perfect and from the outside everything looked great. When I walked into the hotel it was welcoming. The carpet was worn and coming apart when I walked in the room, which I was okay to dismiss; however, the fire alarm would not stop chirping. I climbed up and took the battery out and hit the reset button, the chirping stopped until 2:30am where it resumed every five minutes.
Climbing into bed I kept feeling something under the sheet, when I pulled the comforter back and looked closer I saw that there was something under the sheet, but one look at the carpet had me scared to pull back the sheets.
When I went to shower the next morning I found pubic hair in the shower and a wad of hair that did not belong to me outside of the shower.
I decided to check out a day early because of these issues and watching a cleaning lady spray the floor and mop it without cleaning the mop off confirmed my decision.
I am hoping to find somewhere else to stay.
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Dan556 (6/5): Has good points, but needs a little love. - On a recent road trip, I booked a reservation here after reviewing both hotel websites and TripAdvisor, as the reviews here were better than the hotels I checked in Natchez across the river.
My wife and I had a long day on our recent road trip and arrived here after 7:30 in the evening. Jacqueline at the front desk was wonderful, welcoming and outgoing...she represents the brand very well! We chatted with her about travel for a bit, then went to our room. I noticed immediately that the blackout curtain on the right half of the window was not fully attached at the curtain rod, and was missing the pulling rod, leaving a gap letting in light from the parking lot. Fortunately we always travel with a clip clothespin, and I was able to clip the two curtains together to keep out the light.
The room was comfortable, if chilly...it was 68 degrees when we arrived, and we attempted to turn up the heat to 72 but were not successful. In fact, when we awoke the next morning, the temp was 66 degrees. Here and there the room is showing signs of wear, which is likely due to frequent occupancy, and was, in most cases, to be expected. However, there were a few things that should have been handled as they came up in order to avoid becoming bigger issues. One was the baseboard next to the shower in the bathroom that was pulling away from the wall...just reattach it! Also in the bathroom, I noticed in the shower that the dispenser for body wash had come off the wall and was standing in a metal shelf basket in the corner of the shower...just reattach it to the wall! When showering later, I noticed that the water from the shower head was spraying a bit outside the shower area (there is a fixed glass panel but no shower door) and by the time I finished, the bath mat was quite damp from the overspray. Also, there is no hook on the wall outside the shower for a towel...I had to place it on the toilet seat and reach way around the glass a panel to access it; adding a hook on the wall would solve the issue. Housekeepers need to report small issues when they're noticed, and Maintenance should step up their game to stay on top of these things. By the way, one of the 2 elevators is down as well...making me wonder what's really happening here. (We had no issues accessing the 1 working elevator when needed.)
In spite of the chilly room temp, we slept well and the room was otherwise comfortable. We went down to breakfast about 7:30, expecting a crowd (there were 7 Viking Cruise buses in the parking lot!), but we were nearly alone. The woman overseeing the very nice breakfast area was outgoing and friendly. Breakfast offerings were very nice, kept filled, and the area was clean and neat.
As we left I reported the room issues at the front desk, so I hope the management reacts to them. As for a recommendation, I think I would still choose this hotel over all the others in the area that I researched online.
