Elsa (9/5): Qq désagréments mais formidable accueil et emplacement . Les repas sont excellents ! - Formidable accueil , bel emplacement au calme , et la présence des animaux est géniale ! Les logements sont Très beaux mais quand il faut chaud , la climatisation met du temps à rendre la chambre respirable ! Et en cas de forte chaleur , comme des derniers jours, l’eau de la piscine est plus que tiède . Elle ne rafraichit donc pas .

Chloé (4/5): - J’avais tellement hâte d’arriver à ce logement ! Au vue de tous les commentaires positifs. C’était le plus chère de notre voyage mais malheureusement l’expérience n’a vraiment pas été bonne. Nous avons dû changer 2 fois de chambre. La première était envahie de fourmis rouge qui sont allées en deux jours jusqu’à tout nos vêtements dans nos sacs. Ensuite la deuxième était ENVAHIE de moustique tigre, une cinquantaine rien que dans la salle de bain. Puis la troisième et dernière, coupure de courant a 5 h du matin, j’appelle la réception qui me rapporte des serviettes car ils n’avaient pas compris ce que je disais….. le bâtiment mérite vraiment énormément de rénovation. Et nous n’avons donc pas du tout passé un séjour reposant. Malgré tout ça je tenais à remercier le personnel qui était extrêmement gentil et toujours aidant. Je sais bien que ce n’est pas de leur faute.

Philippe (10/5): Exceptionnel - C'est un havre de paix dans un environnement où la nature est maîtresse. J'ai passé un super séjour, cet hôtel est une merveille. La chambre donne le ton avec une vue sur un superbe panorama au travers de grandes baies vitrées. La chambre est spacieuse et lumineuse et la literie très bonne. Le cadre de l'hôtel est soigné, très belle piscine pour se détendre et la propreté est le mot d'ordre comme partout. Le propriétaire, un québécois, est aux p'tits soins avec tout le monde, à l'image de son personnel. Il est de très bon conseil pour vous permettre de passer un très séjour et découvrir la région suivant vos souhaits. Ici, l'harmonie est partout même chez les animaux, très nombreux, qui vivent tous en parfaite cohabitation (chiens, chats, poules, canards, chèvres, moutons, cochons) ce qui nous donne ce bien-être et cette tranquillité. Je sais où m'arrêter là prochaine fois et j'y resterai encore plus longtemps. J'avais prévu trois nuits, j'aurais aimé prolonger mais c'était complet, dommage. Tout m'a plut

Madeline (10/5): - I am so so happy we stayed here!!! The space is so relaxing, the facilities are lovely, and the staff really go above and beyond! My boyfriend accidentally left his wristwatch in the room, remembering after we had checked out and made it to the bus stop- the staff were not only able to locate the watch, but they also drove it to us just before the bus got there! I can’t rave enough about how kind everyone is and how wonderful this place is. Breakfast is delicious and the cute animals are a major bonus! Wish we could have stayed longer. Do yourself a favor and stay here when in phong nha :)

The view from all the rooms is lovely because there is so much green around. Walking from my room up the path through a field with water buffalo and cows was stunning and so peaceful. The pool area was amazing too. Food (veggies grown on the farm) and staff who helped out with everything were amazing. Could have stayed here for another week. Nothing, it was perfect!

В отеле большая зеленая и очень ухоженная территория, огромный бассейн, ресторан, есть аренда велосипедов и байков. Девушки на ресепшен дают полную информацию что можно посмотреть вокруг и как туда лучше добраться, а владельцем Максимом просто классно поболтать обо всем на свете. Вайфай на всей территории отличный. Рекомендую и семьям, и парам и путешественникам соло Очень классно там!

The guide was absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable, passionate, and full of fascinating stories, always shared with a lovely sense of humor. A special mention to the owner, whose presence and care can be felt in every detail of this place. The food was delicious, fresh, flavorful, and made with love. The room was spacious, comfortable, and cozy, with very comfortable beds that made it easy to fully relax. De’ana (10/5): Amazing property tucked away in the countryside, with amazing people and facilities - The property is located about a 5 minute drive away from the town, I never struggled getting grabs and the staff even offered to collect me from the town. The restaurant and pool area is SO lovely, really relaxed vibe, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff were extremely helpful and provided lots of valuable information about the area and booking tours. Everyone was so friendly, they even gave me a free room upgrade! I didn’t want to leave this place, I will definitely stay here again when I return to the area Nothing

Lauren (10/5): Relaxing, quiet stay, amazing staff - I treated myself to the room with big windows overlooking the river (mostly dry at that time of year, but still beautiful), and I am so glad I did! It was so nice that I was tempted to stay in and enjoy the big patio instead of exploring the area! I did, however, explore, and it was super easy to rent bicycles and scooters from the property. Staff were super welcoming and were ready to help you in any way necessary, including recommendations for what to see and do. The property is large and really feels like a resort when you cross a bridge to reach the rooms, with trees all around. Food was good, also with a nice view. I didn't use the pool, but lots of others were there and it looked lovely. I can't recommend this place enough! There was a super noisy animal keeping me awake most of the night. I forgot to ask the staff about it, so I don't know how common that is or what animal it was. I'm guessing it's not a problem all year. Maybe something to consider, though, if you're a light sleeper like me. You probably couldn't hear it from the huts on the other side.

Juliette (10/5): Laid back, great good, friendly staff - highly recommended! - The location and the staff are fantastic. Everybody was so welcoming. Tina is great and has such a positive energy. The food cooked by the lovely ladies in the kitchen was fresh and delicious. The animals - dogs, puppies, cats, kittens (4 days old) and pigs - are adorable. All trotting around very happily. Dogs and pigs were cuddling up, I’ve never seen anything like it! I would recommend for anyone, especially animal lovers.

Christian (10/5): Es war einfach toll ! - Es war wirklich schön im Nguyen Shack Retreat, wir haben uns so wohl gefühlt, viele Tiere. Die Atmosphäre am See war einfach toll, alle Mitarbeiter sind unglaublich herzlich, irgendwie war da immer eine gute Stimmung, wir haben auch viele nette Leute getroffen, wir sind jeden Abend zum Essen geblieben, die Küche ist einfach toll. Gutes Frühstück mit Vorauswahl, wir hatten eine Art kleines Reihenhaus, das als Doppelzimmer im Internet steht, mit einem Mezzanine. Meine Freundin hat das kostenlose Yoga gerne genutzt - und ich konnte ausschlafen. Es ist ein Farmstay und somit etwas rustikaler, etwas außerhalb uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Hinweis: wenn man mit dem Motorroller nach Google Maps zur Phong Nha Cave fährt, landet man am anderen Ufer. Alle 10 Minuten kam jemand mit dem Motorroller in diese Sackgasse. Der tatsächlich einzige Weg zur Phong Nha Cave führt über die "Boat Station" mit dem Boot über ein paar Kilometer.

Great pool with cracking view. - Food was great, fresh produce from the farm, kids loved collecting eggs and to have animals around just added to the atmosphere. Matthew (10/5): - Amazing stay, probably our best of 4 months in SEA! Services amazing (motorbike rental, laundry, tours) and a great location only 5 minutes bike from the main town. The swimming pool and surrounding area were great but the highlight has to be all of the animals. We loved feeding the ducks and goats and playing with the many dogs! The staff couldn’t do enough to accommodate us :)

Matthias (9/5): - Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön gelegen. Von unserem Zimmer hatten wir einen Blick auf den See. Das Zimmer selbst war nicht besonders, mit Blick auf das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis aber vollkommen ok. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal. Außerdem fanden wir die Essensauswahl und Qualität sehr gut. Der Pool bietet eine schöne Gelegenheit für Entspannung nach einem langen Tag. Insgesamt ist die Unterkunft ein super Ausgangspunkt für Touren im Phong Nha Gebiet. Das Bad war schon ein wenig heruntergekommen und die Wand durchnässt. Die Tür zum Balkon konnte man nicht abschließen. Außerdem stand das Bett mitten im Raum. Die Handtücher haben etwas muffig gerochen. Der Pool hätte auch etwas sauberer sein können.

We had no problems using Grab to get to places in the national park. The staff at Nguyen also arranged us a private transfer to Hoi An with a lovely driver. My only regret is we only had 3 nights here.
Silke (8/5): - Tolle Lage direkt am Nationalpark, morgens Storchschwärme und Wasserbüffel direkt vor der Terrasse. Sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit großem Balkon, äußerst freundliches Personal. Badezimmer nur bedingt sauber, Essen sehr auf Touristen ausgelegt und eher mäßig, was schade ist, da man in der etwas abgelegenen Lage des Resorts in der Regel in der Unterkunft isst.

Christina (3/5): Fassungslos über die guten Bewertungen - Die Anlage ist etwas außerhalb von Phongh Nha gelegen. Direkt an einem See, der bei unserem Aufenthalt im April 2026 leider zu großen Teilen ausgetrocknet war, aber mit Blick auf eine Gruppe Wasserbüffel. Das Personal gibt gute Tipps für die Ausflüge in der Gegend und ist freundlich. Leider sind sie aber auch etwas planlos und sprechen teilweise praktisch gar kein englisch. Da wird dann aus dem Wunsch „no pineapple“ more pineapple. Das Frühstückst war gut und es gibt viel Auswahl. Wir hatten das zweistöckige Familienzimmer. Viel Glas mit schönem Blick. Oben eine große Terrasse. Vorab: wir haben große Teile Südostasiens bereist, wissen was wir für unser Geld erwarten können und suchen wirklich nicht das Haar in der Suppe. Diese Unterkunft hatte aber mit Sicherheit das schlechteste Preis/Leistungsverhältnis aller Unterkünfte, die wir bisher besucht haben. Der Bungalow: dieses Haus ist nicht runtergekommen sondern wurde schon von Anfang an einfach komplett minderwertig und mit geringstem Aufwand gebaut. Im Bad hängt der Durchlauferhitzer völlig schräg auf Brusthöhe an der Wand. Die Dusche ist letztlich eine Stange mit Plastikduschkopf und einem Loch in der Ecke. Das Bett unten steht mitten im Raum und verursacht Rückenschmerzen. Die Couch ist aus einer alten Palette hergestellt. Bei der Treppe nach oben muss man bei jedem Schritt aufpassen, dass man nicht zwischen die offenen Stufen tritt. Selbst unserer 6-jährigen Tochter ist ungefragt aufgefallen, dass die Stufen schief sind. Oben ist die Deckenverkleidung irgendwie hingeschraubt. Betten bestehend aus alten Paletten. In einem Wort: schlampig. Wir waren 3 Nächte da, das Zimmer wurde nicht gesäubert. Der Pool: schön groß, aber die Filteranlage war scheinbar nicht in Betrieb. Zumindest war der Poolboden teilweise schleimig und das Wasser nicht so recht sauber. Bei 30€ pro Nacht wäre das alles nachvollziehbar und nicht so tragisch, aber bei 75€ pro Nacht, die wir bezahlt haben, passt das einfach nicht zusammen.

Lukas (7/5): - Das Hotel lebt von seiner Lage. Für Familien toll mit den ganzen Tieren. Unser Zimmer, wir hatten einen Bungalow, hatte einen tollen Blick auf die Berge. Allerdings war das Zimmer innen schon ziemlich herunter gekommen und wies einige Mängel auf. Auch war es nicht besonders sauber. Hier gibt es definitiv Verbesserungsbedarf.
Raphael (10/5): - Schöne Unterkunft mit Glasfront, Terrasse und 2x täglich super angeleiteten Yogastunden. Roller und Fahrräder könnte man Vorort (gegen Aufpreis) ausleihen. Das Personal was sehr hilfsbereit auch was Ideen und Tipps für die Unternehmungen in der Gegend aber auch die weitere Reiseplanung angeht. Ich kann Nguyen Shack Resort auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

The service was exceptional, staff arranged day trips and helped out when 2 of my children were unwell. We loved the animals, (if you are not an animal lover this probably isn't the place for you). We ate all our meals here, lot's of choice and good selection.I would absolutely recommend Nguyen Shack to anyone looking for a relaxing break in Phong Nha. Bathroom needed a little maintenance but not a big deal.

Lieu au top avec un lac, vu sur la montagne, des buffles, des chiens en veux-tu en voilà et des animaux de ferme. La nourriture et les cocktails excellents et à des prix totalement raisonnables compte tenu que le logement est un peu isolé du centre ville. La chambre était un peu rudimentaire (mais nous avons aussi choisi l'option la moins chère car çanous arrangeait) mais quand même fonctionnelle et confortable. David (9/5): Great staff & lots of friendly animals - The staff were excellent with everything we needed in regards to getting to them and getting us to the sites we want to visit. The animals on site made it very special and a unique experience. It was really special to have pigs, cats, and dogs wondering the property. They had additional animals like rabbits, goats, calves, chickens and ducks in an enclosure that you could visit. The new born puppies were an added bonus. Our room could have used a little maintenance but nothing major.

Beth (10/5): - Absolutely amazing place! Breathtaking location and facilities. A heaven for animal lovers! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, truly above and beyond service. The food - also incredible! We ordered the greens fresh from the farm on-site as part of our dinner and they were SO delicious. The view and layout from the rooms is wonderful. Very cleverly set up too, creating complete privacy for each bungalow. The pool was a wonderful respite after a day scootering to local caves. Oh yeah, you can rent the scooters there too! Truly the whole package. The Nguyen Shack family have really thought of everything to make a perfect stay. We will be back!

Die Unterkunft ist so schön gelegen, das gesamte Personal ist super freundlich, lustig und zuvorkommend und auch das Essen dort ist super frisch und lecker. Man kann total unkompliziert einen Roller mieten und den Nationalpark damit erkunden. Nicht zu vergessen - die ganzen dort lebenden Tiere - wir haben es geliebt!! Danke für die tolle Zeit!

Et le service de temps en temps ( les boissons en fin de repas , fini de manger que ma compagne recevait son plat , mais ce n’était pas récurent)
