- Resort787144 (10/5): Highly Recommended Drury Inn at U of Iowa ! - Customer service at the Drury Inn - Coralville is AMAZING! Great staff. Super friendly. Helped us out with a couple of changes in less than two minutes without any issues at all. Joel was super helpful and friendly!
- rebeccaeR6745BF (10/5): Stay here - Youāll be happy you did! - This hotel is neat and clean. The surrounding grounds are beautifully maintained. Each one of the staff members we spoke with were so pleasant and helpful, as has been the case at every Drury where I have stayed (many). The hotel is very easily accessed from the highway, yet itās far enough away that there is no highway noise. There are several businesses nearby, and the area seems very safe. Unfortunately, we did not arrive in time for the complimentary āKick Backā meal/drinks, but we walked to the Perkins restaurant just next door and had a nice meal. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you are in the area.

When I complained hotel desk employee Quin compared my child to a dog. ā we see dogs the same as a child they have a right to comeā. The the next morning dog was in the eating area again and upon checking out talked to manager about issue. Dog was peeing in lobby! Manager also compared my child to a dog also. My child has a right to come where I go a dog does not!!

- Cheryl (10/5): Pros and one Con - The hotel was very clean, appealing, and convenient. The whole staff was wonderful, and so very helpful. We needed some extra help several times and they provided it instantly. They went above and beyond. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel does not enforce the Handicapped Parking sign area in the front of the hotel. The No Parking line of handicapped parking was fairly generous, but all spaces were taken, with NOT all handicapped marked vehicles. Note, my husband and I are both motor/movement impaired. When we pointed out to the front desk that there was no place to park because of the number of non-handicapped cars that were parked in that area, we were told, "Yes that happens sometimes. You have to call ahead and we will put safety cones out in a space for you to save it. ". A rather unhelpful response and not a lot of concern for the fact that we could not find a space, and that the legally enforced parking spaces were not being held for people. Very disappointed in this one factor when staying at the Drury Inn. Who should be monitoring and policing these spots? This was a terrible introduction to your hotel. It continued through our entire stay (5 nights). However, as mentioned above, the rest of our stay was stellar. Yet, this parking concern may prevent us from choosing Drury for our next extended stay in Coralville.

- Rita (5/5): We wouldnāt stay here again. - Staff were friendly and helpful. Our first room smelled smoky. We transferred to a different room. We chose this hotel for the hot breakfast. The breakfast items were school cafeteria quality as the items were prepared elsewhere and warmed up at the hotel. For example, of real orange juice, they offered orange splash. The coffee tasted like instant coffee. We ate elsewhere. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The complementary evening meal was delicious with a lot of choices. Breakfast was also very very good. The rooms were large, the beds were super comfy. Such good bang for your buck at the Drury Inns!

We love staying with you and all everyone does to make our stay such a good experience. The only thing we thought didn't work well was the evening lines kind of cut off flow and don't run as efficiently as there could. Maybe that could be set up better.

The Happy Hour buffet the evening with complimentary drinks when we checked in was an unexpected pleasure. The room was fantastic. My wife forgot her toothbrush. I went to the market next to the desk and picked one up. When I went to pay for it, The desk clerk asked if I would rather have a complimentary one. I was impressed. I came to Iowa City for a medical appointment and the Drury that we stayed at was within 5 blocks of where my medical appointment was.

- carrie (9/5): A great hotel choice for sure! - The beds were comfortable the hot tub was amazing, the snacks in the evening was a surprise and a plus, great breakfast and the staff was nice. It was very crowded in the pool and the dining area. The food needed refilling a lot but the staff did their best to refill as needed. Itās a popular hotel so of course itās going to be crowded.
