Diana (10/5): - The Jewel Howard Carter Hotel was the perfect choice for our last 3 days in Egypt. It is comfortable, clean, and had great facilities, including a restaurant that features organic, freshly picked vegetables from their garden. But the staff are the heart of the place. Always willing to help, answer questions, share a smile, a laugh, and a story. Truly a jewel on the west bank of the Nile. West is best!

Le personnel est très serviable et nous a aidé pour le taxi. Nous avons pu également faire le check-in tôt Le restaurant de l'hôtel, bien que cher, est très bon et le personnel très serviable. Le lieu est un peu excentré et il faudra forcément un taxi pour rejoindre le ferry ou le centre ville. Cependant si vous avez prévu des excursions, c'est à proximité (en voiture) de la vallée des rois etc... Même après signalement, nous avons eu quelques problèmes d'eau chaude

Stephen (7/5): Not bad but not as good as I was hoping for - Impressive on first sight. Good location with ready means of transport. Pleasant outdoor area and swimming pool, looking down to the Nile. Most staff attentive, warm and efficient. Breakfast offered lots of small plates with a mixture of Egyptian foods, pastries, and fresh fruit juices. Very good housekeeping each day. The superior suite I booked was a disappointment. Located in a non-descript building away from the main hotel. The picture on Booking.com gives an inaccurate view of the room's size and shape. In fact, there is only a narrow space between the end of the bed and the furniture on the opposite wall. The make-shift four posts and bed canopy only add to the constricted feeling. Poor value. You'd be better opting for an alternative. Much of the cooked food at breakfast appeared to have been prepared earlier. Tiny croissants were tasteless. The dinner was OK but nothing remarkable. It turned out to overpriced compared with better alternative restaurants in the area.

Any issue is promptly resolved immediately, with utmost care and regular follow-ups to make sure everything meets one’s expectations. Customer satisfaction is taken very seriously. Great restaurant with vegetables grown in own garden right next to the hotel. The vibe of the place is very relaxed, and it almost feels like being host of a family than being in a hotel. Food was amazing both in flavour and presentation. This is a hotel with peaceful atmosphere far enough from the hassle and traffic noise of Luxor centrum. Location is great for sightseeing, especially on the west bank. Helpful staff arranged our transport for archaelogical sites with transparent pricing and flexibility. Our driver was kind, reliable and flexible as well. Based on our experience we can warmly recommend this hotel.

The Hotel was very hard to reach with our own car, the hotel is not located on a main street so as we were arriving at night, we missed the only directional board out there that shows which street to go through. Specially with these side streets having no street lights, it was a bit Scary at our 1st arrival. 2. Everytime going back to the Hotel after midnight we are surprised that we have no water in the Bathroom. Even after telling the Staff to fix the Water Motor pumping system, 5 mins later, no Water. Specially that my Suit was on the 3rd Floor, so apparently when the water motor pump is not running then no water reaches the the Bathroom. It was bad trying to quickly take a shower and the water cuts again with Soap on the face.

Different animals (donkeys, cows etc.) and vehicles in the neighborhood are constantly making noise, making resting impossible. It is not the hotel's fault but if someone is trying to find a peaceful place to stay, this might not be the ideal choice.

El personal de recepción (Amira), el chofer (Mohamed), empleados del restaurante (donde comimos maravillosamente rico y en un entorno de paz y alegría) TODOS nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos y en casa. Las habitaciones son amplias, con detalles de buen gusto, bien equipadas y con camas cómodas. The coffee is dreadful so we went to a local cafe for a decent one. Given the fact there is a lot of attention to detail at the hotel this has been overlooked. Mark (10/5): Friendly boutique hotel stay in a quiet secluded part of the West Bank - A lovely boutique property with quaint architecture and a lovely quiet setting with a view of the Nile situated on the West Bank. Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the main city it is a great place to wind down after a long hot day of seeing sights. The onsite restaurant serves a number of delicious meals local and international far that are delicious as well as a generous breakfast with breads cheezes an omelet and some traditional Egyptian dishes. Really enjoyed my stay here, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The only downside is that it is further away from the sites and not walkable to anything around but it’s a trade off you make for the serene peace and quiet.

Javiera (6/5): Nice but wouldn't recommend to others - Breakfast was good. The pool and outside/restaurant area was very nice and well kept. You could see the Nile, albeit from far away. Staff was nice but it felt like they wanted to offer more services in order to charge more. Even though this is a recurring issue for tourists in Egypt, I was a bit disapointed that the hotel had this vibe as well. Hotel is in a sort of rural area so it's not comfortable to walk to places. The hotel taxi was not cheap at all and there weren't that much many other options since Uber drivers did not accept the ride to the hotel. Room was outdated and a bit musty.

Geen minpunt te noemen of het moet de omgeving zijn met ongeplaveide straten waardoor taxi's de locatie lijken te mijden. Door eigen slechte keuze hadden we geen uitzicht op zwembad/tuin/Nijl. Omdat we er maar één nacht verbleven hebben geen upgrade gevraagd.

De sfeer is rustig en ontspannen, het eten is fantastisch en wordt met liefde bereid, deels uit eigen tuin – dat proef je echt. Het zwembad is heerlijk, de bedden zijn comfortabel en alles is schoon en verzorgd. De mensen die hier werken zijn ontzettend lief en gastvrij; ze doen er alles aan om het je naar de zin te maken. Je voelt je meteen welkom en thuis. Kortom: een echte aanrader.

Catherine (7/5): Un séjour agréable mais qui n'a pas totalement répondu à nos attentes. - L'hôtel offre une vue très agréable sur le Nil et sur son grand jardin potager qui est utilisé pour réaliser les repas. Situé sur la rive Ouest, plus authentique et calme, il est proche en tuk-tuk de l'embarcadère du ferry public qui relie toutes les 10 minutes les rives Ouest et Est, en face du superbe Musée de Louxor. Le personnel de l'hôtel est très aimable et serviable. La piscine est chauffée (décembre) et dispose d'un jaccusi. L'hôtel est à taille humaine, beau et bien équipé d'agréables terrasses. Notre chambre était grande avec un petit balcon avec vue sur le Nil. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et copieux. L'éclairage de notre chambre "supérieure" était bien trop faible pour lire un livre alors que le soleil se couche tôt en décembre. Le soir, il n'y avait pas grand chose à faire et le quartier n'est pas propice aux sorties nocturnes, très sale et pas animé. La qualité des diners était inégale et très cher pour Louxor. Notre chambre n'offrait pas le calme espéré car elle était située juste au dessus de la cuisine. La salle de bain vétuste et la douche sale (surtout le sol). La literie correcte mais les oreillers sont trop épais et durs. Les chaises très inconfortables sur le balcon ne nous permettaient pas de profiter agréablement de la vue.

Very nice personnel especially Khaled is a very attentive waiter and Hend at the reception. Always on time. Το ξενοδοχείο ήταν πάρα πολύ μακριά από το κέντρο του Λούξορ,-τουλάχιστον μισή ώρα και ουτε ταξι δεν θα βρίσκετε ευκολα, το πρωινό φτωχό με πολύ λίγες επιλογές - σου φέρνουν μόνο αραβικό γεύμα και σε μερίδες πραγματικά μικρές , τα δωμάτια παλιά, η περιοχή πολυ υποβαθμισμένη και σαν να μην έφτανε όλο αυτό είχε κάνει κράτηση για ένα δίκλινο στο ξενοδοχείο για το ίδιο διάστημα και ο θείος μου και το είχε προπληρώσει πριν φτάσουμε, όταν πήγαμε του είπαν ότι η κράτηση είχε ακυρωθεί από τον ίδιο (πράγμα που δεν ίσχυε) και τον έβαλαν να ξανακανει κράτηση και να πληρώσει εκ νεου το δικλινο δωμάτιο! Ποσο απαραδεκτο!

O atendimento da equipe também é excelente. A localização é um pouco longe do centro de Luxor, mas como as excursões contratadas saem do hotel, isso não foi um grande problema.
