• Robert (8/5): a great stay, great location, and very friendly staff - I love the location, and ambience of the property. really easy to access all sights within rek from this location. great breakfast. i booked andrea, was put in aurora on the top floor in the eaves. it was fine as a solo traveller, but had it been myself and my partner, it would have been more problematic as we are both nearly 2m tall and one half of the room is lost to the eaves. there was also no kettle, nor microwave, nor fridge in the room as i believed there would be.
• Rebecca (5/5): Great Location, price wise it was good. Room was very spacious! - The location is excellent if you want to walk downtown. If you get the triple family room it is on the 4th floor. We aware of you need to carry luggage up. The bathroom is private with its own lock, which was kinda a hassle so we just kept unlocked.

• Versteegh (8/5): Prima locatie in het centrum van de stad, goed ontbijt, goede parkeergelegenheid. - Het ontbijt was goed, uitgebreid. De locatie was in het centrum van de stad, waardoor we een mooie basis hadden om Reykjavik te ontdekken. Geen kookgelegenheid, alleen een magnetron.

To the point I could hear the one blonde female talking about the fact I had more than two pieces of toast made me feel very uncomfortable. The rooms very basic. Corridors noisy. Radiator kept us awake climbing during the night. 3 cups for 6 rooms!! Breakfast tables always dirty never clean with crumbs everywhere. Same basic breakfast every day and some things were out by the time we got there 9am. Door handle came off. No staff around or reception to ask questions. One pillow!! Would definitely not recommend sorry we won’t be coming back.

Umywalka z lustrem w każdym pokoju. Dość małe pokoje i łazienka. Przy dużej walizce warto wziąć pod uwagę wąskie schody i brak windy.

• Ula (8/5): - Blisko centrum, schludny guesthouse, nawet bez obsługi wszystkie informacje podane jasno. Bardzo wygodne łóżka, zadbana łazienka. W sam raz na krótki wypad do miasta. Nie działał telefon na taxi i trzeba sie siłować z drzwiami do pokoju.
• Michael (7/5): - Lage war sehr gut - gleich neben Hallgrimskirkja - diese Kirche ist von überall zu sehen - nach Hause finden ist also kein Problem. Das Zimmer war spartansich eingerichtet - sehr gute Matratze, der Rest war in die Jahre gekommen aber funktional - ich habe mir jedoch nicht mehr erwartet. Ab und zu war es wegen den Fenstern zur Straße recht laut. Frühstück war recht einfach - der Kaffee dürfte gerne stärker sein - wenn man sich jedoch die Preise im Supermarkt ansieht, dann wird verständlich, warum das Frühstück kein umfangreicheres Sortiment hat.

• Irenne22 (9/5): LUGAR AMPLIO, LIMPIO Y CON BUEN DESAYUNO - La habitación estaba muy limpia y era espaciosa. Nos tocó una habitación con baño incluido lo cual fue un plus, aunque el baño compartido de fuera siempre estaba vacío y limpio. Hacía muy buena temperatura, algo muy positivo cuando has pasado el día fuera y con frío. El desayuno estaba buenísimo, destaca el pan recién horneado. Por poner algo, las toallas se recogen en recepción, que está en otro edificio. El día que llegamos no las vimos y no pudimos ducharnos, hubiera estado bien saber esta información un poco antes.

Mancanza di asciugamani in stanza e l'acqua che ha un odore sgradevole in tutto l'edificio. So che è una caratteristica comune dell'Islanda ma in altri luoghi la puzza è molto più attenuata.

Possibilité de trouver des places de stationnement gratuites a partir de 300m autour du logement Pas de plaque de cuisson dans la cuisine. Mais une bouilloire et un micro onde.
• Garry (8/5): Really nice place - Nice breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Room was big enough and clean. Was a little confusing when we arrived, as the key was left for us and the instructions we found confusing but maybe its because we were tired after a .long travel day.

• Meindl (8/5): Super Zentral, sauber und freundlich. - Die Unterkunft war sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet war auch sehr lecker. Es ist auch nahe an der Hallgrimskirkja gelegen und die Innenstadt war bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Einzelzimmer war zwar nicht groß, aber vollkommen Ausreichend. Die Duschen sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen

• Ruth (10/5): Fabulous place - Fantastic location. 5 minutes walk to one of the main streets. The room we had was great, we ended up with a private bathroom as no one was in the adjoining room! And full use of the kitchen which was really good as eating out in Iceland is ridiculously expensive so you can go to supermarket and buy stuff to make yourself! Breakfast was basic but the freshly baked bread was delicious! Check in was easy as we arrived late they gave us the key code and left keys out for us. Just was a little confusing as the guesthouse is actually called guesthouse aurora (not Andrea, I think that’s the name of one of the blocks ) but wasn’t an issue but just to avoid confusion. Also it might be worth putting blinds up in the front window as when walking from bathroom back to bedroom everyone on the street could see me in my towel!!
• züleyha ceylan (9/5): Perfectt location, clean - In a suowr expwiensive city this place is a great option, they şet us stay in the main aurora building, coöfortable beds, clean, adequate breakfast( cheese, bread, jam, boiled eggs,cereal, milk,yogurt, tea,coffee, spam l think some meat product) it is right next to the big church, we went to the meeting points for bus stop 8 in a few minutes, very close, and 10 minutes to the srop 6 for the aurora tour, 10 minutes to bsi bus station for airport shuttle, they let us leave our luggages after check out, we took it and drank tea, there is hot water tea and microwave in the kitchen all day long. No need to pay a fortune to hotels. Bathroom was very close and extremely clean. There was also water tap in the room. The room had twin beds just you know if you are a couple, and of course bring your own slippers.

Ubytko fajn - je to hostel a teda pomer cena a kvalita je fajn.Studio sa oplatí,lebo je tam aj kuchyňa.Inak pri apartmánoch sú len také na urobenie čaju/kavy.Je tu ako obsluha mlady muž zo SR,ale žije tu dlhšie a je veľmi nápomocný. Ďakujeme Vyprdla sa na našu zastávku cestovka,ktorá robila fakultatívne zájazdy,ale to nie je chyba ubytovania.

If traveling with a car---there really isn't any specific parking lot for the guesthouse as the online description made it seem - parking is around the city blocks. I specifically booked this place because they said they had parking. It was confusing as there is a sheet in the kitchen downstairs that indicates you should pay at specific times and zones but there were not any pay meters we could find. We were able to pull close and drop off bags, then took a chance and just parked where ever we could find a spot without paying for the night. No fines that we know of yet!!
• Karlee (10/5): - The breakfast was lovely and a GREAT deal in reykjavik. Getting your days started with a hearty enough breakfast to save you a LOT of money in a place with really expensive dining. Location was awesome. It's expensive overall, but for Iceland prices it was quite reasonable. Check in was easy. The bed wasn't the most comfortable and it was fairly small but I'm Canadian so take that as you will.

• qianyu (1/5): 再也不来了 - 宣传上给人很好的预期，到了有套路，先是以“升级”的名义直接给我分配一个半地下的双人间，虽然是双人间，房间里只有两张床，没有任何承诺的厨房的东西，我本来就认栽了，问了一个中国人，她也是被这样对待，她跟我说可以跟前台换回来，我才跟前台讲，终于给我调到本来的单人间。就这个单人间还是在一楼，就在大门旁边，进进出出声音很明显。 最后一天退房的时候，由于我本来的观鲸旅游被取消了，最后一天正好天气不错，就说去海边碰碰运气。正好有个9点的大船要出海，但回来就要12点了。我提前一天也在平台上私信接待人员问能不能晚一点退房，或者帮我把整理好的行李放到接待处我回来拿，但这次接待人员没有任何回应，结果最后的最后，下午一点的时候，我带上行李准备走，被清洁人员质问，跟我强调是11点退房。这就让人很恼火，你们这天气还这么差，不然我本来的行程也不会被取消。我也沟通了退房的问题，结果没有得到任何回复，不回复正常退房好了 最后还要质问我，这一点我很不满

• Sander (8/5): Wij vonden het een toplocatie. Comfort, ligging en ruimte. - Wij waren positief verrast. Wij verwachten een 4 persoonskamer maar wij kregen een studio met eigen badkamer, koelkast en kookgelegenheid. Het was niet heel uitbundig ingericht maar wel schoon, netjes en lekker ruim en licht. Het ontbijt was niet heel luxe maar wel vers, en voldoende. De badkamer/toilet was ruim en schoon. Bij het gebruik van warm water rook je wel de geur van zwavel. Maar dat is misschien niet gek met zoveel vulkanen. Wij hebben weinig gebruik gemaakt van de keuken. Er zou meer kookgerei mogen zijn.

• Nataliia Harmash (10/5): Home Away From Home - Our impressions of Guesthouse Aurora in Reykjavík, Iceland Guesthouse Aurora was cozy and warm, with a homely atmosphere. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the hosts very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were tasty, and the location was convenient for exploring Reykjavík. We felt right at home, even so far from our usual surroundings. -Everything was excellent — we had no complaints at all.

• Charis (9/5): Lovely stay, would recommend! - Great location, clean, has everything you need and easy to find. The staff did not seem to be around. Whilst this wasn’t too much of an issue most of the time, there was no one around to help me store my luggage so I had to do this myself. Then when I came back to collect my luggage to go to the airport, again, there was no one around and someone had locked the door!

• Felicitas (7/5): If you’re a traveler and explore that’s the place for you - The location is perfect for exploring and tours. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast covers all basic needs, nothing fancy, but sufficient. The different breads are incredible. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Temperature regulation in the showers is a bit of gamble and our refrigerator was more of a freezer, but that’s a first world problem
