Guest Reviews
- Laura (10/5): - Loved the stay. Room was clean and comfy. Ms Lorraine at the front desk was sweet and welcoming. Convenient walking to shopping and restaurants. The pier down from the place was perfect. Will be staying again soon.
- Amy (8/5): - Very nice placce for price and convience. Front office was very nice. We would stay again. An older motel but very clean
- Jenna (6/5): - Location is great! They are always nice, but they have gone downhill over the years with cleanliness of floors, trim & showers and the rooms smell musty. I wish they would do some updates.
- Norma (8/5): - Room was nice and big, but the floor was sandy.
- Richard (8/5): - This os probably going to be my go to hotel when i visit Rockport cant complain as of yet.
- George (4/5): - I had to call when I got there to get the key to the room waited 20 minutes then when I checked out, I had to call them and waiting and waiting and waiting. No one never showed up so I just left the key at the door. The room had roaches coming out of from underneath the table
- RUDY (10/5): - If the rates are where i like them than this is my go to place. I like the location.
- Fernando (8/5): - Great location.
- LaRicher (8/5): - First time staying here. It was ok. Not bad for the price. Had a little trouble finding out the tv but the front desk attendant came right over and helped us. Wished there were a ceiling fan in the room and a landline.
- Jayme (8/5): - Property was good….good location, good air conditioning, nice staff. Definitely a no frills type accommodation though.
- JEREMY (6/5): - Right next to water and plenty of shopping within walking diatance. Had staff accidentally walk in room unannounced which was a little uncomfortable but accidents happeb
- Jesus (10/5): Friendly service - Very friendly service
Room are great
- Samantha (10/5): - Everything was amazing from the time we got there love that it was walking distance to go fishing
- Conny (6/5): Disappointed stay - For the price I thought was going to be better, the location close to the bay 5 points but needs more attention on cleaning the very first day we found a cockroach down on the floor close to bed, they have to change towels every day because they didn't, the white towels was tanned not white and the place has a smell. I do not booking in this place again. This was debut and farewell !!
- Lory (2/5): - When I arrived I was given room 9. Upon entering the room I observed three roaches. I went back to the office and reported what happened. I was issued a new room. When entering room 12 the first thing I noticed was a used towel on the bathroom floor. After looking around the room further I noticed bugs about a half inch long. They weren’t roaches but some type of insects. I flushed 4 of those down the commode. I always check rooms for bed bugs. When I pulled the cushions up on the sleeper sofa I noticed rodent droppings, insect carcasses and hair under the cushions. When I pulled the sheets back, the mattress protector was filthy. It was mildewed and had stains and appeared to not have been washed. The window sills have insect carcasses and dirt in them. There was some type of insect droppings on the baseboards. I went back to the office and a different lady was there. I told her the situation and she just said that she could not refund my money. I told her that my grandsons and I could not stay there. She just said, So you are checking out? I gave her the key and searched of a couple of hours trying to find another place to stay. I finally found one. I normally don’t complain about things but mouse droppings and roaches are just too much. I did get refunded for three of the four days we had reserved. We did not stay there any nights but the manager felt the need to keep on nights stay.
- Shannon (8/5): - Very plain, but clean and comfortable with friendly people and close to a fishing pier, easy walk to art galleries and nice pub across the street.
- James (8/5): - This is an older property located in the Rockport Heritage District that is in walking distance to downtown and the fishing piers. The rooms are clean and the area is relatively quiet.
The only thing I found that was less than desirable was the area around the trash dumpster which is where our room was located. Food scraps lay around the dumpster which causes a rodent problem. Keep this area cleaner and you have a winner.
- Salvador (10/5): Very Good - Bay View Inn was excellent for a weekend fishing getaway! The room was very clean very nice, and the beds were comfortable. Very well kept. AC was nice and cold at night. The location was perfect for what we were doing, and where we were going to be. I will definitely stay there again!
- Krystal (8/5): Great stay - Overnight trip with my family.
- Richard (10/5): - Very easy to come and go. Exactly what I want no hassle on a vacation
- Acesa (8/5): - The chair in our room had serval visible stains and bathroom ventilation wasn’t working. The door had a 2 inch gap and you could see headlights shining into room
- Raynaldo (8/5): - It was nice
- Melissa (8/5): - Great location. Most everything is walking distance to include fishing.
Staff is friendly and accommodating.
- ANNA (6/5): - Love the quietness and how freely everyone was. Disliked that the ac did not work so we slept in a warm room. Not to bad but wish it was cool
- Juan (10/5): - Staff was great and pier was so close as well as store's and beach
- Yuri (8/5): - Great location. Spacious and allows pets. Was pretty clean. My only complaint is our room was a bit dusty like it hadn't seen anyone in a while. Did enjoy our stay.
- Antonio (10/5): - Awesome stay
- Krystal (8/5): - Quick beach trip
- Richard (8/5): - It was a convenient walk to the fishing jetties
- Sara (2/5): - Cuando llegamos al hotel no tenían ninguna reservación a mi nombre
- Norma (10/5): - Strong shower and big towels
- Laura (6/5): - Towels were spearly
- Annie (4/5): - I liked the fact that it was right on the water. However, when we tried to open the door the keycard reader wasn't working properly. Had to try several times to open the door, every time we came back to our room. When we walked in the floors were dirty with sand and leftover food. A dead and dried roach was glued to the bathroom floor. The tables also hadn't been cleaned and the shower has mildew. One of the beds had a huge stain in the middle of the sheet and the other had hairs between the sheets. The office persin was more than willing to give us cleaning supplies as well as another set of sheets so WE could clean it ourselves. If we weren't in a pickle we would've gone elsewhere. And your only "amnenities" is the tv, IF it works. Not even an ice machine.
- Monica (8/5): - Everything’s rusted, even the toilet paper holder. It gives the feeling that things aren’t clean. Sand all over the floor. Pullout sofa was pretty gross; soiled mattress and no mattress protector for the next person. Killed a roach on the wall.
On the upside, the regular queen beds were comfortable. The motel is also walking distance to the fun Art district.
- Joel (10/5): - Great stay no issues .
- Natalie (10/5): - The courtyard was beautiful. Walking distance to the water, restaurants, a shaved ice hut we like, and live entertainment. Just be aware that the noise levels are sometimes lively.
- Dennis (10/5): Bay view yes - Out of the way little motel, very clean, comfortable only stayed one night waiting on my VRBO but nice enough for an entire weekend.
- Chris (6/5): - Hoping for a better experience.
- Juan m (10/5): - A great get away
- Rachel (6/5): - It was close to the pier which is good and convenient for fishing and night time fishing what we did not like is there was their ice machine was not working and the lighting outside was horrible
- Norma (10/5): - It was a very nice place to stay. Liked the area its located good fishing area. Staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable.I would stay there again.
- Higher (10/5): - Besides the Roach in my bed, and the blonde hair in the other bed, it was ok i would recommend you sleep fully dressed tho!
- Lauren Ashley (10/5): - Clean rooms, great location and friendly staff.
- jeffery D (10/5): - Very nice ,clean room's. Close to everything. We stay here alot.
- Amber (8/5): - Price was great and the facility was spacious! The only concern is the noise. You can hear literally everything on both sides of your room along with any noise outside of your room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was okay. Hot shower and a place to lay your head. No ice
- robert (6/5): Updated older motel near downtown - Conveniently located downtown near the bay. This is an older motel that has updated flooring and bathroom. However the bed uses a sheet as the mattress cover and there is no sheet for sleeping. There is no comforter and the provided blanket is coarse. The room is poorly soundproofed and I could hear the conversations and TV of both neighbors. Also the front door is right next to the parking and early risers idling their diesel trucks while leaving while awaken you. There is no breakfast provided.
The room was safe and clean but noisy.
- Marcos (10/5): - Evening was great
- Yvonne (8/5): - The bed was comfy. The room could have used better cleaning. It was quiet and safe in the area. Staff was kind.
- Carilyn (8/5): - It was ok close to downtown Rockport
- Amber (10/5): - This is always my go to place for a quick, inexpensive, getaway. It is an older property with appropriate renovations. I love that it is one story and plenty of room outside to grill. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, and shops. Also has a sea wall across the street for fishing. Service has always been great.
- krystine (10/5): - Great value right on the bay and only 30 minutes from activities in Port Aransas. Within walking distance of the quaint shops on the main drag in Rockport.
- Michelle (10/5): Great Plave - This is our 4th time there right next to the water the sunrises are amazing. The room is spacious and clean will continue to stay thrry
- miguel (6/5): - Not clean as expected
- George (8/5): - A clean room and friendly staff. The room is small but have all the amenities.
- Jeffrey (4/5): - Friendly people but location was very run down and worn out, rust, old old furniture, weak bed
- Antonio (10/5): - Down the street from shopping and across the street from the pier
- ANDREA (10/5): - One of the best places to stay. Close to the ocean peaceful great staff. Very reasonable prices
- David (10/5): - None and thank you
- Kenneth (6/5): - Thin walls, could hear people talking in next room at 5 am,got woke up
- roy (10/5): - I liked everything
- Annie (8/5): - This a nice clean place to stay but be warned they do charge a fee for service animals.
- Fernando (10/5): Fishing trip - It was a quick stay but the room wasn’t what we needed.
- Fernando (10/5): Fishing trip - Was a fishing trip so this room was perfect.
- Maria (8/5): - Our favorite place to stay in Rockport. Parking is so easy; car is usually right outside the room door. No ice machine. Walking distance to the fishing pier.
- Antonio (10/5): - Awesome place to stay across the street from the pier. Few minutes to the beach and awesome shopping.
- Demaris (6/5): - I can tell it flooded. But it right by the water, and looks like they are in the process of fixing things.
- Vickie (2/5): - The property is old, there is no staff, only saw one person working the whole time we were there. It is not at all what you think it would be. No others cars were even there except ours and the guy working.
- Shawn (8/5): Great for the price - It was good for the price great location right next to a pier for fishing and got to watch the space x launch really cool.
- Jeffery (10/5): - Very nice quiet place. Close to fishing. Very friendly staff. Will be staying there often.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Awesome Stay - Always a wonderful stay a Bay View Inn
- Blanca (10/5): - staff is always nice, rooms cute and priced well…
- Jeffery (10/5): - Very nice place .very friendly staff.close to everything. Will be staying here more.
- Jeffery (10/5): - Very nice hotel very friendly staff.Fishing right out the door.
- Paula (8/5): - It was a small cute room with a large walk in shower with plenty of hot water, has a mini fridge and microwave. It is right next to a large lighted jetty fishing pier and right in front of downtown Rockport. Walk to all the dining and boutiques. Location is awesome. My only complaint would be that there were a few dead water roaches in the bathroom.
- Robert (8/5): - Cost
- Eduardo (10/5): - Super limpio, excelente atención
- Debora (8/5): - Been there a few times. Right by the water and always friendly
- Gregory (8/5): - Near ocean very quiet and peaceful
- Melissa (4/5): - The staff were nice and allowed us to check in. Room was spacious and appeared neat. When going to bed we found several little critters running on the floor and bed side night stand.
- Nora (6/5): - No comment
- Barton (4/5): - Room was no clean. Came back thinking the room would be clean and no. They just replaced the towels and did not empty the trash cans. Spare bed was dirty and they never cleaned. Will NEVER stay there again. Too bad!
- Donato (10/5): - This is a small Motel like property. My wife and I weren't expecting much, but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was accommodating. We were able to check in early with no problem and the owner found that the charge for our 2 dogs was a little high, so she gave is a huge discount. The rooms were clean and the shops were only a few steps away. I would stay there again.
- Sindy (10/5): - Clean and economical.
- Ramiro (10/5): - Good
- Brittanie (10/5): - The room was clean and stayed nice and cool, within walking distance to the pier. Located around everything, had a wo derful time even during storm alberto
- Thomas (10/5): - Love staying here! It’s clean, convenient to town and has great fishing in a short walk. Always fast, friendly and efficient.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, quiet, spacious, at 100 degrees outside the room was cold, pier is within visible walking distance. All definitely stay again.
- Ginger (6/5): Not the worst but could be much better. - Check in was simple and the clerk was friendly. The room was updated and looked nice at a glance but on closer examination the rust on fixtures was off putting. The bed was comfortable but the were old stains on the sheets and there was a huge stain on the chair. The flooring was really nice but needed to be swept and they don’t clean the room until you check out.
- Elsa (8/5): - Room was Clean, Cold and Comfy!
Great Service,Friendly and Nice.
We Shall Return to Stay in Our Next Trip to Rockport.
We Thank You Kindly Bay View Inn. Good day to You.
- April (6/5): Ok.... - They didn't clean the room daily. There were no towel hangers.
- Jacqueline (10/5): - This was a really cheap and nice motel in downtown rockport, everything was clean and the motel was very quiet and safe
- Norma (10/5): - a great place to stay overnight and very friendly staff
- Melissa (10/5): - Great value. Clean and updated rooms. Friendly staff. Very close to shopping strip and fishing pier.
- Charles (10/5): - It’s very quiet walk in walking distance
- Cory (10/5): - Just what I was looking for. Close to everything and a good find for booking two weeks before the Memorial Day weekend. Will stay again.
- Tom (10/5): - Right on the edge of downtown Rockport and a very short walk to the waters edge where there is a concrete breakwater structure to fish along a channel with good fish movement. I was not in Rockport for any of the seasonal many events. I was there to do maintenance work on a boat I store near Rockport and needed a place to lay my head. I was pleasantly surprised by the room accommodations, the cleanliness, the friendliness and the location. This little jewel is a great value! I highly recommend The Bay View Inn as a place to wind down after a day of exploring Rockport and it's surrounding areas whether you are exploring the area with your family, as a couple or on your own. Great A/C, shower, queen beds with a sleeper sofa and a good sized refrigerator with upper freezer compartment.
- Franz (6/5): - Construction of underground pipes right out front of the hotel. No pool. The only staff is 1 lady who checks you in. I saw no other staff. I picked this hotel to see if I could bring my dogs the next time but there is no way I will do that having been there. The toilet seat has one bumper out of 4 causing the seat to be wobbly. Lots of flies in the room as well.
- Ricardo (10/5): - Bayview inn is our go to spot when we are visiting Rockport , Great job 👏
- Kimberlie (10/5): A nice little gem by the ocean - Surprisingly, we enjoyed our stay. Considering the amount we paid for the room, we didn't expect much, but the bed especially, was so comfortable. The employess were very gracious and nice. The location was great. We will stay there again when we visit Rockport.
