• William (6/5): - The shower was not draining, and the hot water stopped working on the second night which they weren’t able to fix during our stay.

• IRENE (4/5): - We stayed three nights there with my family of 4. As soon as we checked in, we noticed there were some issues with the apartment but the staff was responsive and did send maintenance people over the next day. Nothing was resolved but the staff tried again and sent the maintenance guys back. Not everything was resolved but at least they installed a new washing machine for us so that we could do some laundry the last night. Please read the most recent reviews of other guests before you book the place. I have to say the location is great and it would have been better if the apartment was more nicely maintained.
• Jose-Miguel (4/5): Not very comfortable for a family. - This was the final stop on our family's Italy vacation and definitely the least enjoyable of our rentals. The building itself is not well maintained - the front door handle continually fell off when we tried to exit the building, there were a lot of cobwebs and bugs inside the main entrance, the staircase was dingy with very old, dirty carpet and the key lockbox didn't work. The unit itself was not very comfortable. The sofa bed in the kitchen didn't pull out (and was very dirty inside when we tried to wrestle it open) and the main bedroom mattress was very thin, lumpy and unsupportive. There was not as much decor in this apartment as the others that are pictured here from the same building, and the space felt very plain and uninviting. We also got bitten by mosquitos while inside the unit. We did have a good working a/c, as well as hot water for the shower. And we were able to use the kitchen to make breakfast in the morning. Would not recommend this apartment.

• Bernd (8/5): No big complaints. - Great location to stay at. Quiet at night. But close to things. The washing machine was great and the drying lines outside. We got some clothes pins because there weren’t any there. The shower door needs to be replaced (it’s kinda nonexistent) But overall we were very happy with the stay for the money. 2 bedrooms. Room for 5 to sleep if needed. Kitchen with utensils and such. And a refrigerator with freezer. And a supermarket less then a mile away (and a great fruit stand right outside the alley) Again. Overall. Great stay. Place needs a little love here and there like the shower and some floor repair. But well worth it.

• Dominique (6/5): - The apartment is in a great area - that is the main drawcard. It is fairly neat, but it needs quite a bit of work. You get what you pay for in this area I suppose. The handrail leading up to the apartment is broken, I had to stick it back into the wall. There are a lot of steps so make sure you can carry your luggage up there. The kitchen was very adequate to cook meals in and there are two great supermarkets close by. The air conditioner in the second room was not working and wiry Italy’s record heatwave, it was quite unbearable for my daughter. They said they would send a maintenance person on the second day but no one appeared to have come. As stated earlier, the location is fantastic, so I would recommend it purely on that basis alone.
• Thomas, (6/5): - I was concerned about some of the recent reviews, as it talked about mold, and I somewhat expected it in the water closet because it is very humid in Venice, however, there was mold in every room. We were in the Ormiso apartment since we had 4 people in our party. There was also an abundance of mosquitoes in the apartment. Likely still due to the humidity, which comes with a territory so I can be understanding of that. The apartment smelled of a mildew/moldy odor, much like a wet, dank basement. The AC helped to cool off the apartment, so that was a plus. It’s also very walkable and Marco was very helpful to get into the apartment. I believe if the room were cleaned and the mold issue addressed, this would be a safe and wonderful stay for families.

• Robin (2/5): - So I’ve stayed in a lot of places on my travels, but I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a worse place than this. I was not good at all. Here are my comments: Positives: Good location, fast internet, large kitchen, large fridge, small laundry washer. Relatively large master bedroom, good communication with the owner via WhatsApp. Negatives: Filthy dirty, mold everywhere (including on the bedside lamps), Air Conditioning in the hallway so the rooms are really hot and they don’t cool down at all. If you open the windows, the place fills with bugs. The smallest TV I’ve ever seen, located in the kitchen. No TVs in either bedroom. Bed mattress is extremely old and creeks when you move around and the springs push through and hurt your back. Shower has mold everywhere and doesn’t drain quickly, kitchen is filthy and you wouldn’t want to cook in it. When you enter the building, you need to hold your breath because the mold smell is so intense it’s unbelievable. With a little love and attention, this could be a nice place, but they really need to put some work and effort into it.

Nach der Reinigung gab es immer noch Schimmel im Bad, dicke Staubschicht unter dem Bett und auf den Möbeln. 3. Der Toaster funktioniert nicht. 4. Die elektrische Sicherung löste ständig aus. 5. Besteck und Geschirr wurde nicht gereinigt. 6. Im ganzen Haus roch es nach Schimmel. 7. Wir konnten überhaupt nicht kochen und unseren Urlaub nicht genießen. 8. Die Wände waren voll von toten und lebenden Moskitos. 9. Die Vorhänge waren nicht befestigt. 10. Die Toilettenspülung und der Duschhalter fielen von der Wand. 11. Das Doppelbett war durchgelegen. 12. Der abgebildete Stehtisch mit den Hockern ist abgerissen. Was war gut? Die Wohnung ist gut gelegen. Das WLAN funktioniert. Die Kommunikition per WhatsApp funktioniert. Der Putztrupp und der Elektriker wurden kurzfristig organisiert. Am heruntergekommenen Zustan der ganzen Wohnung können sie jedoch nichts ändern.

• Wing Yiu (2/5): - Don’t stay at this apartment as it could ruin your experience in Venice. We stayed in this apartment for 3 nights in May 2025 and had the worst experience here. 1. The washing machine was broken when we arrived. We have contacted the host through WhatsApp who promised to fix it the next day. No one ever showed up before we left. 2. The toilet seat was not cleaned as there was dirt on it as we arrived. 3. Broken shower room door. Felt like it has been broken since long ago but no one ever bothered to replace it. The bathroom floor was flooding when we showered. 4. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper were provided for a 3-night stay (4 adults). Requested for it through WhatsApp but nobody had come on even if they promised to. 5. Super slow water drainage in the bathroom. A pond would form each time we washed our hands and it would take an hour until the water is drained. 6. The apartment was full of mosquitoes. Didn’t sleep well because they were flying around us all night long.
• Fatima (8/5): - It’s in a residential neighbourhood. Super convenient. If not travelling with many suitcases, it is just 10mins walk from Santa Lucia Station (one bridge crossing with ramp). It is an old building, so don’t expect too fancy design. But it is good enough for the stay and convenient to access everywhere in Venice.
• Donni (2/5): - My friends and I enjoyed the location of this property. We did encounter a few challenges that impacted our stay. The directions to access the property weren’t entirely straightforward, and we found ourselves relying on trial and error to figure things out. On our first day, we saw long strands of hair left in the bathtub drain. After using the shower, we understood why and it was because the shower drained extremely slow causing water to pool and overflow in the tub. Additionally, the shower handle couldn’t be secured in place due to a broken attachment. The toilet presented a recurring issue, as the flush button consistently got stuck and caused the water to keep running unless manually fixed. In the kitchen, the lighting was quite dim likely due to missing bulbs. The headboards on the beds also seemed to need more thorough cleaning, as they appeared dusty and worn. While the neighbors didn’t come across as particularly welcoming, we can understand how frequent guest turnover might be disruptive to those living there permanently. One of the more difficult parts of our experience was the communication with the host. We found ourselves needing to follow up multiple times before getting responses, which left us feeling a bit unsupported during our stay. With some improvements and more consistent support, this property could be a much more comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.
• Tommy (2/5): DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE - MOLD - DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE We booked this accommodation because it looked fresh and pleasant in the photos. Upon arrival, we were shocked to find the bedrooms full of mold – a serious health hazard. We immediately contacted Hotels.com, but they refused to refund us because the hotel did not approve it. Despite having clear evidence that the property does not match its description, Hotels.com refuses to refund money or remove it from their platform. This is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of responsibility toward their customers.
• ALEXANDER (4/5): - The location of the property is great. It was a little confusing finding it but not too bad. The bed and pullout couch were comfortable. The bathroom had mold everywhere. It didn’t seem like the apartment was cleaned in quite some time. The WiFi signal was poor and it barely reached the bedroom. Doesn’t even make it to the living room.

• Alex (4/5): - I was disappointed by the quality of the accommodation. Moisture stains are everywhere, the lights flickered regularly, and we didn't even have a proper duvet cover (there was a sheet underneath, and a sheet on top of the duvet instead). Definitly does not look nearly as clean as the pictures show. The apartment does, however, have the equipment indicated.
• Lorena Andrea (2/5): Great Location and building but awful condition - Unfortunately, the place is poorly maintained. There were countless dead insects smashed on the walls, which were also stained with dirt and moisture. The curtains were extremely dirty, and the floor was filthy. I walked around in my socks and had to throw them away afterward—they were completely black from the dirt. The location is excellent and the building itself is beautiful, but the apartment doesn’t reflect that at all. There were lots of mosquitoes, and although we asked for repellent, we didn’t get a response until the next morning—by then, it was too late, and we’d already had a rough night. With just a bit of effort—some deep cleaning, a fresh coat of paint, air fresheners, better pillows, and a more comfortable mattress—the place could be much more inviting. It doesn’t need to be luxurious to feel cozy and comfortable. I hope this feedback helps you improve the space.
• Julien (6/5): Passable - Appartement situé dans une rue calme de Canareggio, facile d'accès. Le loueur nous avait donné le mauvais code de la boîte à clés et n'était pas joignable (arrivée à 18h). Après un long moment, nous avons obtenu le bon code et avons pu prendre possession des lieux. L'appartement est spacieux mais a un vrai problème d'humidité avec de nombreuses traces de moisissures sur les murs, notamment dans les chambres. Le linge fourni était propre mais la literie est particulièrement inconfortable : le matelas est beaucoup trop mou. Passable dans l'enseignement mais pour les éléments évoqués ci-dessus, je n'y retournerai pas.
• Subhapradha (2/5): - I had booked this apartment for 2 days. This was the fist time staying at this apartment. On the first day I arrived late for checking but there was no one abthf the front desk. I could not reach the owner to enter the plac. As a result I could not stay there . I had to find another place to stay for the first day!!!! Only second day I stayed but place was too bad. Several issues - There was muggy smell inside the apartment. The AC was not working and I had to call maintenance to help fix. The wifi was not working. Shower had molds and unsafe to shower. The place was simply the worst. The owner was too rude. There was no proper communication to the customer on staying there. I wood never recommend to stay here.

• Andreia (10/5): Perto de tudo e a preço interessante - Valeu muito a pena a estadia no Guglie Desing Apartments. Ficamos eu, meu marido e uma amiga muito bem instalados nos aposentos - o imóvel comporta até cinco pessoas. Dormimos na suíte principal e ela no sofá cama da sala, que vira um quarto. O apartamento tem máquina de lavar roupa e um secador que pode ser instalado em qualquer ambiente. A cozinha é bem equipada, com itens como louças, copos, fogão, microondas, geladeira (disfarçada nos armários) e torradeira. Há água quente em todas as pias, o que é importante no inverno. A região tem bons restaurantes, com menu de preço fixo, e bares. Mas o som não chega ao imóvel, que é muito reservado. Sentimo-nos como moradores.

• Santiago Serrano (10/5): - This is a hidden gem. We were there with our kids and was perfect! Grocery shop very near and lots of attractions.
• KATERYNA (4/5): - Location is good but it's a little bit hard to find this place for the first time (Google maps don't help much). However, the apartment is way smaller than it appears on the pictures. Also, the communication from the management of the hotel was very poor. We haven't received any instructions by email, although it was promised in the confirmation email which I've received once booked our stay that we will get these instructions 3 days before our stay. The day before I still haven't received anything, so I had to contact Expedia customer service to deal with this. Once Expedia contacted the management of the hotel only then I've received an email with detailed instructions. The overall experience was much stressful than I'd expected as we were on our way from Rome to Venice already and I had to deal with all this. Another thing is that this place has bed bugs, the master bedroom for sure. I was terribly bitten all over my back, right hand and right side of the face. That was a very unpleasant and itchy experience and not the one you would like to have while on vacation. I also have pictures taken 4 days after we've checked out and you still can see the bites and how swollen and red those looked. Unfortunately, I can NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay away!
• GM (10/5): - very nice property, close to all the locations. Kitchennette was nicely equipped and have a washing machine. Grocery shop is a block away. AC in the rooms was bery nice. this apartment was close to all the historic places in venice and a short walk from the train station. Check in and oit was very efficient and easy. Check in office easy to find, and very nice people in there. Next time in Venice will stay in the property. Highly recommeded!!
