Guest Reviews
- Anne Marie (10/5): We had a lovely relaxing break in a beautiful apartment - spotlessly clean and very well maintained - Loved the 3 levels and views - can’t fault this apartment No problems
- Maxine (6/5): - Great location and views, plenty of space for a big family and lots of hot water. Information about the property was clear and the management was easy to contact. Free parking for multiple cars nearby. We felt the property was not cleaned to the standard we would have liked. One bedroom was not made up upon arrival, there was lots of dog hair everywhere and the kitchen wasn’t well stocked.
- Seonaid (8/5): Great location and customer service. - Location and facilities. Nothing
- Tilo (10/5): Great - Big place, great location Garbage bins outside totally full
- Lili (8/5): Beautiful place in a great location - Beautiful windows and views of the beach and sunset Issues with the back door locks - one couldn’t open and one couldn’t lock
- Jack (10/5): It was great - Great location. Much bigger than expected. All mod cons. N/a. Liked it all.
- Jackie (10/5): A great family weekend away in a lovely house ! - The house was ideal for a family short break , a great location and plenty of room.
- June (8/5): We enjoyed our stay here - Great communication with the booking team, fabulous location and very spacious The furniture was quite dated and it needed some tlc
- Jürgen (6/5): -
- Roger (9/5): Was a great place to stay with all the family including the dogs!! - The property was warm and welcoming. The kitchen /dining space was great for the family to get together and the upstairs lounge had great views of the sea. There are a few repairs which are needed to paintwork and plaster in a number of areas to keep the property up to standard.
- Brenda (6/5): Despite the issues mentioned, the property worked well on this occasion but don't expect luxury! - The location of this property provided us with accommodation for a wedding at a local hotel.
The rooms are of a good size and the 2 bathrooms meant that all eight of us could get ready the morning of the wedding.
The large kitchen/living area was great to spend time as a family and the 2 dogs had easy access to the enclosed garden and it was also a very short walk to a super beach. The property looks a lot better in the photographs and had it not been for previous reviews by other guests stating how tired the house looked then I would have been a little disappointed.
The cleanliness was adequate, bathrooms clean and bedding good but on a closer inspection there were a few areas that need attention..blinds don't all work, toilet flush button loose in shower room, woodwork on kitchen /living room doors .
The kitchen equipment is sparse but as we were only there for 2 nights we managed.
- Katherine (7/5): Great space in a great location. - The location was excellent-right by the beach and near lots of places to eat. Easy drive to tourist attractions. The space is great-it’s a lovely size with a nice terrace and garden. Kitchen is not well appointed-plenty of crockery but very limited otherwise (no peeler or baking trays, only 2 sharp knives). Cleanliness hit and miss. No plastics for kids/outdoors.
- Robert (10/5): Great location and an excellent property for a family or group visit to Ayrshire - Great location and an excellent property for a family or group visit to Ayrshire. We used it as a base for a golf trip, there are plenty of restaurants within a short walk. Nothing
- Stephen Chambers (2/5): very dissapointed and no offer of compensation from the agent and we paid a premium price. - good location and parking. the cleaning had not been done, dirty towels and beds in 3 out of 4 rooms. filthy bathroom, broken bed in one of the rooms.
- Tony (9/5): - Fantastic views, beautiful family room/kitchen, lovely big garden for the dog. Excellent location too! Nothing
- Maureen (10/5): Stunning. - Location was great, amazing views, clean and spacious. Thought maybe the comfier sofas where in lower living room.
- bebe (10/5): 10/10 - The view is amazing. The place was spacious and beautiful.
- Cj (8/5): Very spacious house, plenty of room but bring a frying pan! - Great location, back door and enclosed garden was lovely but there were only 3 chairs outside so all of our guests couldn't sit outside at once. Very spacious - great sized house! Shower pressure was great, and the little toiletries were very handy to have :) parking outside was ample - we were able to get 2 cars outside and 1 on the side street round the corner, handy when we had heavy bags to lift in! The whole house was kind of run down, I understand the age of the house comes into play but a wee refurb and refreshing of painting/carpets may give it a bit more life. Kitchen could have been better kitted out ie. Some kitchen roll would have been good. One medium sized frying pan wasn't enough to make breakfast for everyone all at once. Blind in the single bedroom was broken. We could have really used instructions on how to set the timer for the heating, as it was we couldn't figure it out and we had to switch it on and off manually. Not good when it's 5:30am and it's freezing. Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay in and we would probably book again (now we know to bring our own frying pans/kitchen roll/outside chairs)!
- William (8/5): Very good -
- Jill (10/5): Beautiful stay by the seaside. - Fantastic Location with a lovely clean and homely property.
- William (9/5): Lovely apartment, lovely weather! -
- Linda (10/5): EXCELLENT HOUSE and WoW to the location - Thank You all so much...we had a wonderful stay.
Only sorry we didn't get much time to spend in the house or Ayr itself as was there for a wedding...so we will be back soon.
- Kerry (8/5): Pleasant - Good location with large rooms. It would not take a lot for this property to be greatly improved. New, more luxurious furniture, and decoration would make this property exceptional.
- Andy (5/5): Disappointing! - Good location. Towels were nice. Very tired decor. TV’s too small, sparsely decorated. Minimal kitchen equipment. Refuse bins not emptied. Felt unloved. Such a shame for a Christmas family gathering. Not even a wee decoration!! Not luxury I’m afraid.
- Smith (9/5): Fantastic large house in a brilliant location which is perfect for all the family including dogs. - The location is spectacular being so close to the shore, with so many amenities close by. The amusements were a hit, and the dogs had a ball on the beach. the property itself was perfect with the upstairs sitting room and separate downstairs area being ideal for having a bit of space. This was also ideal for the 2 dogs we had with us as they had plenty of room to lie about or play without getting in the way, and the walled/enclosed back garden was equally brilliant. I can see that being really really popular in the summer. Would highly recommend for family groups. There was a couple of little things - some blinds were broken or not working, the towel rail in the bathroom seems to be coming off the wall and it felt like a few utensils/cookware items were missing in the kitchen but we made do. Totally minor things though as the place is amazing.
- Lfcboys (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gillian (7/5): Was lovely but stressed due to parking arrangements . - The location was amazing. Great space with plenty of room for us all. Stairs to basement area no handrail. Furniture a bit shabby and decorative details tired. We arrived from 3 separate areas and did not know we would not be able to park anywhere near the house. Only 1 permit. Very stressful as we have a disabled guest in party. No reply from owners.
- Veronika (7/5): House it’s beautiful, great location but for this kind of money I expected everything to be perfect and in working order - Views were amazing, nice kitchen, all rooms were spacious as you would expect for the price of the accommodation. Great location and beautiful garden. WiFi wasn’t working our full stay - 4 nights
Knifes in the kitchen were useless as not shared at all. We’ve ended up buying a new knifes. Both doors into the garden were very hard to open. Seal in the shower moulded.
- Elizabeth (7/5): All in all my family enjoyed their stay due to location, views and garden. - The views out to the water and the sunsets were great. Lovely enclosed private garden which was well maintained. Handy for the beach, shops and restaurants. The stairs to the bottom level did not have a handrail which I found difficult as I have problems with my joints and really need something to hang on to for safety. The drains in the kitchen did not smell to good. The upholstery would benefit from a clean plus quite a few stains in the carpets. Kitchen was not well equipped, no grill pan in the ovens, no basic condiments like cooking oil and very very old frying pans ! This property was quoted to us as being luxury. I wouldn’t agree with this.
- Paul (10/5): Can’t wait to return - Its perfectly located for beach and town with a parking space and love the garden and views . I’ve stayed before . It’s beautiful .
- June (10/5): Great House - The size if the property and location was amazing it was also clean and comfortable, with sea views, and it was close to amenities, also we allowed to take our dog. The stairs but it's just because we are older and not used to stairs now
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, comfortable beds, fabulous kitchen & lovely garden Both lounge furnishings bit dated although comfortable. Could have had slip mats for bathroom and shower & hand towels. Bath sheets were totally fine. Couple of chipped plates in the crockery no scissors in the cutlery drawers.
- Nicola (7/5): Good -
- Niamh (10/5): Exceptional - The property was well maintained and spacious. It was a good space for 7 of us to enjoy a weekend away for my mums birthday. Good location for restaurants and pubs The deposit was quite a lot of money
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely apartment with great sea views and close to amenities
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Great house with sea views and 5 mins walk to town.
- Caroline (3/5): Poor - Location garden kitchen master bedroom.and twin room Furnishings rugs and carpets were dirty and stained. Oven was a disgrace we couldn't use it until.someone came next day to clean it. ..furniture looked as if it had been bought from a charity shop. Cleaning standard throughout was very poor. Paint work was chipped, and walls were dirty..
- Michelle (8/5): Very good - Amazing location and great accommodation. Kitchen and living spaces were excellent. The beds were not very big for 2 people, and were quite uncomfortable, which is a shame as the property was perfect.
- Mccafferty (10/5): Fab location, great price for stay and everyone had fun - I loved looking out the windows and having a sea view. Me and my friends would like to book again for the summer. There was nothing we didn't like, everything was very clean and tidy and plenty space for us all.
- Magdalena (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely amazing house for holiday very close to beach,
- Zeenat (8/5): Best Family trip ❤️ 💙 - The house itself was beautiful 😍, and the location was fab and very comfy beds!
- Paul (10/5): Best ever - Fab stay for us lovely private enclosed garden plenty of room inside and loved the sunset views, 2 mins to the beach 10 mins to town. However it might not suit every visitor because it is a little lacking a few of the modern gadgets and gizmos. The charm is of a beautiful old house. Also Dommini support team were excellent.
- Gillian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sheila (10/5): lovely and relaxing with plenty of space for everyone - the location of this apartment was great. so relaxing looking out to the sea. lovely and large so we all had plenty of room. I would highly recommend.
- Linda (10/5): Everything was excellent from start to finish - There was nothing we did not like about the property, the area or the hosts, everything was excellent.
- Clarkedale74 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (8/5): Lovely property on the edge of Ayr town with stunning views - The location is fantastic, close to town, quiet and with lovely views. The property was a good size, it was nice and clean and with comfy beds and fresh bedding. The kitchen area is lovely with access to the garden which is really nice. The house was very cold when we arrived, and it took a while to figure out the heating. The boiler was off and needed topping up. There could be extra lamps for lighting, especially in the living room, but not a major issue.
- Colin c. (10/5): Sea breeze - We had a wonderful time. The location is fantastic. I would recommend this property wholeheartedly for a family visiting Ayr.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The whole property is fantastic and really clean. The only negative was that it was cold when we arrived and we couldn’t get the place warmed up.
We called the contact and it was sorted out quickly
