- Mitch (9/5): - Het welnesslandschap was erg goed en uitgebreid. Een mooie turkse sauna, finse sauna, zelfs een sneeuwcabine en zoutsauna (alleen was die waarschijnlijk niet aan toen wij er waren). De gym oogde ook vrij nieuw en was schoon en netjes. Onze kamer had een muf geurtje. We zijn daarvoor naar de receptie gegaan en kregen een andere kamer die wel goed was!
- Sudhier (8/5): Meer dan prima ! - Ruime badkamer en prima ontbijt. Bedden sliepen goed en de faciliteiten in de kamer zijn uitgebreid. Kamer is prima. De hal bij binnenkomst met grote trap is ook indrukwekkend. Genoeg parkeer gelegenheid zoals gewend bij Van der Valk. De afstand vanaf de receptie tot aan mijn kamer was wel ver. Dit kan ook niet anders gezien het langwerpige design van het gebouw. Maar wel iets voor de reiziger zelf om rekening mee te houden dat indien je tassen draagt en niet rolt dan kan het nog wel een loopje zijn.

- Ann (7/5): Ideale uitvalsbasis als supporter voor de marathon in Enschede! - Heel lekker ontbijt, erg uitgebreid en rustig. Erg vriendelijke mensen aan de balie en aan het ontbijt. Erg proper hotel en mooie decoratie overal! De kamer was niet helemaal verduisterd, de gordijnen konden niet goed gesloten worden. Er was licht op de straat, dit scheen binnen, ook in de morgen was het licht.

- Alex (9/5): Uitstekend hotel voor een weekend tot rust komen - Ontbijt was prima, vergelijkbaar bij andere hotellen. Personeel uitstekend getraind. Badkamer was perfect, heel ruim, goed bad / douche. Sowieso veel ruimte ook in de kamer zelf. Vind het een groot pluspunt dat ze hier besloten hebben kamers groter te houden, dan kleiner en meer kamers kunnen verhuren. Bed ook veel beter dan verwacht. Erg groot en heel erg comfortabel. Zou er thuis zo één willen. Zwembad & sauna waren ook perfect. Denk dat ik wel geluk had dat het een rustige periode was. Enige wat ik niet over na had gedacht is dat het hotel nog wel een stukje van het centrum / natuur plekken af ligt om te wandelen. Dit was echter geen probleem aangezien we met de auto waren, maar dat lijkt wel een vereiste als je hier verblijft.

Telefoon in de kamer deed het niet en koffie apparaat lekte en veel kalk in waterresservoir. Daarnaast is de sauna te klein voor 2 personen. Alsnog hebben wij ons wel vermaakt het was wel een schone kamer Maar prijs is wel te hoog voor dit kamer

- Teresa (9/5): Fantastic hotel but dusty carpet. - Beautiful looking hotel! The Christmas decorations were amazing. Loved the entrance hall. Staff were ok but not overly enthusiastic and friendly. I always like to see happy friendly staff greet you. The room was fabulous and had everything you needed. I was disappointed to find the edges of the carpeted hotel room dusty. They had not been hoovered. Only the main surface of the carpet had been hoovered and I did find a couple of cobwebs and an insect/spider in the corner of the room. I like and expect a clean room. Although everything else was clean. I’m am very finicky about hotel rooms so the dust/dirt around the edges of the carpet put me off. But other than that I can’t complain. Stayed in cheaper cleaner hotels with carpets. But don’t let this put you off a very nice hotel otherwise.

- Peter (9/5): Heerlijk ontspannen en relaxed. - Het ontbijt was uitstekend. Zeer veel keuze. De badkamer was ruim en schoon. de bedden waren goed. voor mij persoonlijk iets te zacht. Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Een van de koffiezetapparaten was tijdens het ontbijt uitgevallen en vroeg om een schoonmaakbeurt. Tip: Dit had naar mijn mening voorkomen kunnen worden door de apparaten voor dat het ontbijt begint te checken en na het ontbijt ook nog eens.

- Ad (9/5): Heel tevreden over verblijf in hotel van der Valk Hengelo - Ruime kamers, rustig, goed restaurant, dichtbij de snelweg. Vriendelijk personeel. Voor mij persoonlijk het bed wat minder prettig en een groter kussen was wel dijn geweest.
- Noa (8/5): A very cosy hotel for when you're traveling with your family - The room is very big and comfortable. Bathroom of good size. Breakfast was nice, with lots of sweet options to choose from. I think the pool area is probably the highlight of this hotel, and my husband really enjoys the sauna. Maintenance of the room facilities can probably be better.

- Avibala (9/5): Will surely come back! - Coxy Hotel! Perfect place for a quick family stay or even for work. I was visiting for work. The place had a great feel to it. The staff were helpful and kind. The breakfast restaurant and also the other restaurant were good. Had dinner twice at the restaurant food was actually good! Most importantly, its at the exit of the main town of Hengelo, so very easy to get in and get out The breakfast could have more options (at least a live eggs station).. Also if you are travelling with a lot of luggage, ask them for a room closer to the main lobby. There are no lifts in the second block and the suitcase will have to be dragged down.. it was OK for my business travel with one mid sized suitcase.

- Richard (6/5): trop cher - Bel hôtel, chambres immenses, petit déjeuner avec un très large choix A ce tarif on pourrait s'attendre à un hôtel exceptionnel or ce n'est pas le cas. Il y avait une mauvaise odeur dans la chambre qui provenait des coussins sur le lit... La personne au check-in n'était pas aimable et du genre expéditive. Il pleuvait lors de mon arrivée, les écoulements d'eau sont bouchés entre le parking et l'hôtel ce qui oblige à marcher dans les flaques et se tremper. Tout cela pour un prix totalement déraisonnable à mon avis.

- Amirhossein (2/5): Extremely Disappointing Experience - Cleanness I arrived at the hotel around 01:00 at night, exhausted after a long trip, only to be told by the receptionist that I couldn’t check in because he couldn’t find my reservation in their new system. I showed both my confirmed Booking.com reservation and proof of payment, but he still refused to check me in. After calling the Booking.com helpline myself, they ended up refunding my original payment, and I had to pay the hotel directly. Only later did I learn that the property is transitioning to a new system; something the receptionist clearly didn’t know how to handle. Instead of taking responsibility or contacting Booking.com to verify the reservation, he simply didn’t care. The attitude and lack of professionalism made the whole place feel like a 1-star hotel. I ended up waiting almost 2 hours in the middle of the night just to check in. A truly terrible experience. Ps. Big Thanks to Booking.com for the professional service, specially at that time of the night.
