• Karin (8/5): Ein super Ausgangsort für Wanderungen im Hochland! - Eine Übernachtung im isländischen Hochland sehr sauber, sehr freundlich und mit tollem Essen, sowohl Frühstück als auch Abends 😊😊😊 Wir waren zu dritt und das eine Zimmer ein bisschen zu klein.

• LTU (10/5): - We had an absolutely wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived, the host, Castro, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. He helped us with everything we needed and gave us excellent recommendations on what to see and do in the area, which really made our trip special. After a long hike, he even helped dry our boots and warmed up the sauna for us — such thoughtful touches that we truly appreciated. It’s rare to experience this level of care and attention. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the views were simply breathtaking. Overall, it was an amazing experience, made even better by the outstanding hospitality of the staff. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

• Sabine (1/5): - We konden er niet komen. Er gingen 2 routes naar toe, 1 weg was afgesloten en 1 weg was zo slecht en glad dat je er met een personenauto met spikes niet kon komen. We heben de rit die een uur zou duren vanaf de hoofdweg na 10 minuten noodgedwongen moeten afbreken omdat we bang waren de auto te beschadigen of ergens te stranden met een klapband. Een ander hotel moeten boeken en geen medewerking vanuit het hotel, behalve dat ze zeggen gewoon open te zijn geweest. Nergens heeft iets over deze slechte wegen gestaan dus we hebben dit niet van te voren kunnen weten. 147 euro weggegooid! Nooit weer dit hotel helaas.

• Irene (7/5): Hotel fast im Hochland - Lage ist sehr gut, Frühstück war sehr umfangreich, WLAN ausgezeichnet Bei der Ankunft dauerte es eine halbe Stunde, bis jemand zur Rezeption zur Schlüsselübergabe kam, obwohl mehrere Leute im Restaurant herum standen. Badezimmer war sehr klein und man konnte nirgends die Handtücher aufhängen

• Sophie (7/5): Très bonne localisation à 1h20 de route de Landmannalaugar ; hôtel minimaliste mais qui a l’avantage d’exister - - Un peu le seul hôtel dans un vaste espace proche de Landmannalaugar : perdu au milieu de nulle part. C’est comme cela qu’on l’a choisi comme après 4h30 de route pleine de nids de poule et défoncée on s’était dit qu’on serait bien contents de s’arrêter et c’était le cas - Salle de bain avec plein de dispositifs avec savon pour les mains/ shampoo / conditioner etc - Sauna à disposition dans le bâtiment - On a pu prendre les repas du soir au restaurant (servent jusque 20:15) et c’était bien - Petit-déjeuner : très bon choix avec un peu de tout : fruits coupés, des œufs durs, pain et toasts, fromage et charcuterie, saucisses / bacon / œufs brouillés, yoghurt et flocons de céréales. Pains au chocolat ... Aussi un petit déjeuner très bon et complet - On a eu 2 minuscules chambres env 10 m2 : très petites. Très propres mais impossible d’ouvrir correctement les valises. - Literie trop courte pour une grande personne et trop mou à nos goûts. Une chambre sans lampe de chevet. Spartiate - Pas de Bouilloire / on a demandé au restaurant de nous remplir les thermos donc ça c’était bien - Douche et WC propre mais env 4 m2 minuscule avec quasi comme une salle de bain de bateau avec douche juste à côté des toilettes donc il y a vite de l’eau partout. - A signaler. Ca a été très lent à répondre aux emails / messages sur booking.com et on a du appeler deux fois avant d’avoir une réponse au téléphone donc pas si simple de les joindre
• Andreas (9/5): absolut top für diese Lage und Nähe zu Landmannalaugar - wir kommen beim nächsten Mal wieder - ja, es ist in etwas teurer, aber liegt auch an der Lage im Hochland - das war unsere Basis für den Ausflug nach Landmannalaugar die Betten sind sehr bequem, aber das Zimmer ist für 4x Personen etwas eng Dusche nur warmes Wasser, wenn man vorher den Boiler aufheizt - aber für das Hochland dennoch der beste Komfort wir haben auch sehr tolle Polarlichter dort gesehen Restaurant nicht günstig, aber für diese Lage dennoch top - sehr guter Geschmack wenn man sich der Lage im Hochland bewusst ist, ist es super dort - alles bestens

It felt like they did everything to cramp a shower and a toilet in 1m², and then shove 2 beds next to it to call it a room. Quite expensive for what you get. The light in the bathroom was broken and we had to shower/brush teeth/go to the toilet in the dark. The food in the restaurant is 20% more expensive than in Reykjavik and coincidentally also 20% of the quality. The fish was pretty dry and covered with half a plate of salad, the lamb was just straight up dry. Really disappointed. Ate a sorbet afterwards which was just frozen sugar (almost had to chop it with my spoon) outrageous price for what it is..
• guillaume (8/5): - Ce n’est pas la première fois que j’y séjourne et c’est toujours très correct . Le petit déjeuner est monté en gamme avec du chaud salé qu’il n’y avait pas il y a 3 ans. L’emplacement est parfait pour un séjour dans les Highlands. Les photos de décoration sont toujours les mêmes depuis 10 ans et vraiment pas jolies. Pas de verre à dents dans la SDB Après la douche , le dol est un inondé et le tapis trempé du coup
• Bettina (8/5): Hier bucht man wg. der Lage - Gebucht haben wir das Quartier aufgrund der optimalen Lage für Ausflüge ins Hochland. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist minimalistisch und ohne jeglichen Komfort, aber die Betten sind äußerst bequem. Für kalte Nächte ist eine zusätzliche Wolldecke vorhanden. Das Frühstück wird als Buffet angeboten. Es war für jeden etwas dabei. Praktisch fanden wir die Tankstelle vor der Tür. Für uns ungewohnt war, dass man das Haus nicht mit Schuhen betreten darf. Man läuft im Gebäude in Socken.

• Stefanie (7/5): Gute Unterkunft mit kleinen Abstrichen - Das Zimmer war sehr klein, mit 2 Koffern nicht ganz leicht. Es war aber sehr sauber, gemütliches Bett und es liegt nunmal kurz vor Landmannalaugar. Im Bad gibt es nicht lange warmes Wasser, kommt aus einem Tank. Es stehen Produkte von der Blauen Lagune zur Nutzung Verfügung. Das Hotel gleicht ein wenig einem Container Dorf, Frühstücksraum mehr zweckmäßig, Frühstück für die Lage aber richtig gut. Freundliches Personal. Für 1-2 Nächte total ok. Warum baut man bei einem kleinen Zimmer eine Milchglasscheibe ins Bad? Also wer es mag. Ein bisschen Privatsphäre wäre ja schon schön.

• Bernd (7/5): Practical place at a strategic location - Best alternative to staying directly in Landmannalaugar, if you want to go hiking there. Small Sauna included.
• May (9/5): Pleasant - A very convenient place to rest after a day’s hike at Landmannalaugar. There is even a gas station in front of the hotel. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Very nice of the hotel to provide Blue Lagoon toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was great with a good selection. The room and bathroom were rather on the small side.

• RYSZARD (10/5): - Dwie rezerwacje w tym hotelu, każda na jedną noc, przez tego samego pośrednika, w tej samej cenie, a mieliśmy dwa różne pokoje o różnym standardzie. Ta noc w hotelu Highland oddalona od centralnej lokalizacji o kilka minut samochodem to pełna rewelacja.

• Laurence (7/5): - L'accueil est top, la présence d'un ranger pour les conseils de rando est un plus Les espaces communs sont confortables, le restaurant est bon et le petit-déjeuner buffet varié. La partie snack est très appréciable pour se faire un pique-nique avant de partir pour la journée car il n'y a rien du tout autour. La chambre familiale est très exiguë, on ne peut plus circuler à 4 avec les valises, aucun meuble ou étagère pour poser ses affaires, juste 3 pauvres porte-manteaux.. La literie du lit double est de moins bonne qualité que les lits simples, cela relève davantage d'un lit d'appoint. Quant à la salle d'eau vieillissante, elle mériterait un coup de rafraîchissement. Bien cher pour ce que c'est, ils profitent d'être le seul établissement à des kms à la ronde
• Krisztina (10/5): Pretty and convenient - We had a really good time here, the rooms are cozy and the breakfast was very good. The sauna is nice and the petrol station in front of the house was very convenient.
