- Christoph (7/5): - This ancient building has been tastefully restored and furnished — a successful blend of historic charm and modern design. The location on the market square is wonderfully picturesque. The bathroom was almost comically small. It was barely possible to use the toilet. Breakfast ended as early as 10 a.m. By 9:20, much of the buffet was already empty, and hardly anything was replenished. Instead, the staff were busy cleaning and setting tables for lunch. As a guest, you rather felt like you were in the way. Overall, the staff seemed stressed and frustrated.
- Thomas (1/5): Kurz vor Nervenzusammenbruch - Dem Personal tat es leid das wir abends vor verschlossener Tür standen und entschädigte uns mit 1 Flache Wein Obwohl laut booking com die Bezahlung vor Ort gebucht war wurden wir mehrfach aufgefordert unsere Kartendetails per Email zu übermitteln Offiziell Check in 15-22h. Unser Auto war auf der Autobahn liegengeblieben und wir haben das Hotel informiert dass es evtl. etwas später werden könnte. Wir waren um 21h da und das Hotel war geschlossen. Klingeln zwecklos. Unter der angegebenen TEL. Nummer nur ein Anrufbeantworter. Zufälliger-Glücklicherweise kam nach @ 3/4 Std ein Hotelmitarbeiter auf seinem Abendspaziergang vorbei.

Anzahl der Parkplätze sehr knapp. Beim nächsten Mal sind wir schlauer. Leider Silber- oder Papierfische im Schlafzimmer entdeckt.

- Sebastian (9/5): Super Hotel, tolle Mitarbeiter, top Lage 👍🏼 - Tolle Unterkunft, mitten in der historischen Altstadt. Super liebe Mitarbeiter, tolles Frühstück Parksituation ist direkt am Haus vorhanden, aber etwas begrenzt. Man kann aber in der Nähe parken.

- Patrick (9/5): Fantastisch hotel op de hisotroische markt van heppenheim - Fantastische locatie op de markt van Heppenheim. Kamers zijn allemaal goed. De eenpersoonskamers hebben relatief kleine en harde bedden, dus houd hier rekening mee. Ontbijt is perfect. In de zomer kunnen de kamers warm zijn omdat er geen airco aanwezig is. Een raam openzetten kan maar hou er dan rekening mee dat het terras onder je raam ligt. Ik kom hier graag omdat voor de rest alles klopt en je ook de restaurants binnen loopafstand hebt en gelijktijdig van het gezellige markt plein kunt genieten. niets

- Klaus Kemmerich (9/5): - Lage mitten in der historischen Altstadt, sehr gute Ausstattung des Zimmers, sehr gutes Frühstück, Freundliches Personal, wir kommen gerne wieder, wenn wir in der Gegend sind. Wir waren nicht im Haupthaus sondern im Goldkind untergebracht. An der Innenausstattung merkt man nicht dass dies Haus schon >150 Alt ist. Es gab sogar eine Terrasse mit Blick auf den Schlossberg und die Altstadt. Hat uns sehr gefallen. Am Marktplatz gibt es einige Gastronomische Betriebe, die bis mindestens Mitternacht geöffnet haben - die letzten Gäste ziehen dann durch die engen Gassen und unterhalten sich laut - bei geöffneten Fenstern kann das etwas störend sein. Die Kunststoffschalensitze im Zimmer sind nicht so bequem - deshalb etwas Abwertung beim Komfort.

- Dieter (8/5): Heppenheim ja, Altstadt ja, aber nächstes Mal ein anderes Hotel. - Gefallen im Zimmer hat die Dusche. Die Lage war super gut. Der Blick aus sechs kleinen Fenstern auf den Marktplatz war sehr schön. Das Frühstück war normal. Gut gefallen hat uns das Restaurant im Hause. Das Zimmer soll 20 qm gehabt haben. Es war doppelt so lang wie breit und deshalb doch beengt. Das vom Zimmer nicht abgetrennte Bad hat mir nicht behagt. Der Platz vor dem Waschbecken war eng. Es gab kaum Abstellplätze. Haken für Handtücher fehlten. Der Waschtischspiegel war seitlich angebracht, so das man sich verdrehen musste um die Haare zu föhnen. Der Toilettenraum war sehr eng. Die Matratzen des Doppelbetts gaben kaum nach. Mehr als eine Nacht wäre für mich hier nicht möglich gewesen. Die wunderschöne Lage des Hotels am Marktplatz in der Altstadt bringt es leider mit sich, dass nur eine begrenzte Zahl an Parkplätzen vor Ort sind. Wenn diese belegt sind, werden die Zufahrtsstraßen gesperrt. Man muss dann sehen, wo man öffentliche Parkplätze findet. Leider wird das nirgendwo beschrieben.

- Diane (8/5): - Comfortable bed and modern updated bathroom. TV in the mirror was an efficient use of space. No elevator - only a spiral staircase. Not a problem for us, but for some guests this could be a real issue. We were told we had guaranteed parking but it turned out to be luck of the draw.

- Sabine (5/5): - Die Lage mitten in der Altstadt. Das Frühstück war sehr gut! Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Das Zimmer war staubig,, es roch ständig nach Essen, unser Zimmer lag direkt über der Küche. Gebucht hatte ich ein Superior Doppelzimmer, bekommen haben wir ein ziemlich kleines Zimmer.

- Sarah (6/5): Sehr laut - Die Lage direkt in der Altstadt von Heppenheim ist unschlagbar. Restaurants unmittelbar daneben. Zudem bietet das Hotel einen Parkplatz. Es ist egal zu welcher Tageszeit immer extrem laut. Es hat ständig gescheppert oder geklopft/gehämmert. Es ist allgemein sehr hellhörig. Also das geht wirklich absolut gar nicht. Bin schon weltweit viel gereist, aber so einen Lärm habe ich noch nie erlebt. Kühlschrank, Kleiderschrank oder Klima nicht vorhanden. Zudem war der Fußboden dermaßen dreckig. Meine schwarzen Socken waren weiß. Das hat nicht mal meine Waschmaschine mit den 1. Waschgang sauber bekommen. Ansonsten sah alles in allem der Rest sauber aus.

The building itself has a charming, authentic feel, which adds character to the stay. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the restaurant and bar offered good food and a pleasant atmosphere. While the overall experience was pleasant, the room itself left something to be desired. For a "Superior Double Room," the space felt quite limited, which raises questions about the size of the standard rooms. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was adequate for basic browsing and checking emails, but it struggled with streaming services.

- Cuijpers (9/5): Heel erg genoten van dit verrassend leuke, authentieke Duitse stadje. - De Golderner Engel ligt aan het pleintje in het autenthieke stadje Heppeneheim. Alleen dat al is superleuk aankomen. Een eigen parkeerplek bij het hotel is ook heel fijn. En 's avonds heerlijk en betaalbaar gegeten op het gezellige terras. Het was die nacht warm en de kamer was daardoor ook heel warm. Weet niet of het beter had gekund want er was geen airco.
