Unfortunately the weather for us wasn't great, but had it been, the pool area looked really nice. we would definitely recommend this B&B. Excellent location to the gorge as well There was nothing to not like!

Fabulously clean and freshly presented decor. Stayed in room 6 which was very modern looking, room looked newly done with all modern fixtures and fittings, lovely big bathroom with super shower and spotless . Friendly and super polite young waiters at breakfast. Mattress was too firm for us, especially after lots of walking and achy bones, didn’t sleep too well.

• Canebabe (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Cheddar - Our host was wonderful, the breakfast was superb, and the location was fantastic. Easiest parking we had on our entire 2-week trip (no narrow alley to potentially bang your mirrors or scrape your doors!)

I really liked the little pictures & plaques that were dotted around the hallways - they added to the feeling of being welcome. We had a small fridge in our room, which was stocked with water & fresh milk (to use with tea/coffee in the room. There wasn't anything to dislike.

I’m really clutching at straws as was so impressed. A little loud as you’re near a pub (but you are right in the heart of cheddar and this was a Saturday night). It was a warm April so would value a room fan.
• Diana (10/5): Exceeded our expectations - We had a fantastic stay at Gordon Hotel in Cheddar and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area. My friend and I stayed in a twin room, which was modern, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Everything felt very well maintained and thoughtfully presented. The hotel itself is quiet and relaxing, making it an ideal place to unwind after a day out. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay — polite, welcoming, and always professional. We received a particularly warm welcome at reception, which immediately made us feel at ease. Breakfast was a real highlight. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. We were looked after by a very young member of staff who was incredibly professional, attentive, and courteous — a true credit to the hotel. The location is also perfect for exploring Cheddar, with easy access to the high street, lovely local shops, the famous caves, and nearby walking trails. Overall, it was an excellent experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Gordon Hotel and will definitely keep it in mind for future visits. --

Exceptionally clean, bedding and bed extremely comfortable, shower great, fabulous breakfast, and both the hosts/staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Location ideal for visiting places during the day, and then parking the car up, and having a meal/drink in the evening. Quite a ‘little gem’. Nothing. Everything has been thought of.

Beautifully appointed rooms, incredible value for money, perfect location, you could have eaten off of any surface and PARKING INCLUDED!! I was away very early in the morning (before breakfast service) and they even went to the length of preparing me a lovely packed lunch; this was offered to me, it was nothing that I'd asked for... Above & beyond & then some! A perfect experience 👌 ✨️ ❤️ Everything was perfect

• Christine (10/5): Excellent place to stay ❤️ - Lovely room with thoughtful little touches — cotton buds and makeup pads in the bathroom (the things I always forget!), plus a Tassimo machine with coffee pods and fresh milk in the fridge. I stay away a lot, and this was genuinely one of the best nights’ sleep I’ve had. The bed was comfortable, spacious, and cosy. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and even recommended great places to eat. Breakfast was sensational — my partner and I both had the full English, made with high-quality ingredients and cooked beautifully. The overnight oats were my favourite! All in all I absolutely loved this place and will definitely be returning for a longer stay in the summer for a soak in the pool. Thank you so much.
