• Brett (8/5): Great stay in a central location. Super quiet. - Great location in the heart of the city just a few mins walk to the square. The lack of ventilation in the room even with the small fan on the desk is the only drawback. Room was great, clean, but it was very stuffy the whole time in there.

• michiko (8/5): 町歩きを楽しむ拠点として便利です - 町の中心にありながら、とても静かです。有名なカフェも近くにあります。共用の冷蔵庫があったのは嬉しかった。夕方、屋上テラスでのんびりビールをのんで、夜景を楽しめた。 屋上テラスへの階段が朝は鍵がかかっていて使えなかったこと、隣の部屋の声がはっきり聞こえてうるさかったのは残念でした。

• Roshan Vijay (8/5): Relaxing stay in a fantastic atmosphere - Unique decorations everywhere; including the entrance! The staff were very nice! The rooftop is exceptional, with great views of the volcano and surrounding hills. Wish they had some snacks and bottled water available for purchase (but note they did have filtered water pots available for use). Some of the furniture was also a bit dusty, towels had some old stains on them (but clean).

• Martin (9/5): Clean, comfortable, and great location. - It was exactly what we needed. Three beds for three guys. Clean and large bathroom. A little noisy from the street but not too bad. Checking in and out was easy. Hugo was very responsive with questions before we got there and had great recommendations for coffee, grocery, and restaurants while we were there. The location was close to every tour we did and all the sites we wanted to see. There was nothing to dislike.

• Frank (9/5): Schönes Hotel in allerbester Lage - Die Lage in wenigen Gehminuten zum zentralen Platz könnte nicht besser sein. Es gibt viel Holz in der Unterkunft und das Zimmer war sehr angenehm mit allem, was man braucht. Ruhig und gute Schlafqualität. Freundliches Personal. Wir würden ohne zu zögern wieder hier buchen. es gibt nichts zu bemängeln.

They kindly kept our luggage during our Acatenango hike Given the location of the room, you can hear other guests getting to their room. No breakfast possibilities.

• Jennifer (9/5): Amazing location and unique property. - It is in an amazing central location. It is a very unique hotel almost like a museum with interesting decorations. The rooftop terrace with volcano views was a highlight. There is absolutely no sound proofing at all so bring earplugs. It would be nice to have a safe in the room for valuables.

• Ana Isabel (9/5): Un lugar lleno de caracter e historia-representa lo que es La Antigua - Es mi segunda vez en la Posada, el lugar me encanta porque es un museo viviente, tiene una azotea con vistas increibles, ademas de que esta en el centro de la Antigua a escasos metros del Arco. Sin duda su personal es lo mas valioso. El internet no es tan bueno. Aqui me gustaria hacer una recomendacion a los posibles huespedes, que si lo tuyo no son las imagenes de iglesia catolica como crucifijos, imagenes de santos, o cosas asi, si eres supersticioso(a) o les tienes miedo considera esta parte antes de reservar. En mi caso es mas bien lo que me atrae, pero puede que a otros no les guste.
• Marcela (9/5): - Es un buen sitio, las personas de la recepción y don Hugo son muy amables. Creo que si podrían ofrecer al menos un café en las mañanas. El cuarto donde me hospedé era muy agradable, impecable en limpieza y amplio. Sin embargo me parece que la casa tiene demasiados objetos de anticuario que le dan una atmósfera recargada y en ocasiones cansa a la vista.

The shower was great, loved having toiletries, and the room was cleaned every day. And the communal kitchen was a bonus for longer term stays. nothing.

• Melinda (10/5): We loved our stay, and would definitely come back! - The location was excellent! It was located right in the heart of the city, and everything was close in walking distance. The staff was very friendly and kind. They went above and beyond for us.

I woke up several times with intense dry mouth. Climate was a bit difficult too. I would wake up cold very often. New bedding is needed here.

• Carlos Alphonso (10/5): Awesome stay at an antique hotel - The room I stayed in was quite nice. I liked the colonial style decor and furniture. There was adequate lighting for when I needed to pack/unpack. The hot water in the bathroom shower was consistent. Free water is available in the ground floor (my room was close to it luckily). The location is quite good as it is close to Parque Central. The staff were quite helpful, and they helped me get a taxi back to the airport. Would have preferred a toilet paper roll over the tissue napkin dispenser in the bathroom.

• Eric (10/5): A quiet, relaxing stay, located smack in the middle of La Antigua, was just what I needed. - The location was exceptional. Only a block or so away from Parque Central in La Antigua, but you would never know it. Quiet hotel, quiet room. Room was much bigger than expected, and spotlessly clean. Staff was outstanding, and went out of their way to fulfill any need I had, or to answer any questions. Not offering breakfast when I stayed there, but did offer me freshly made coffee, and use of the kitchen facilities. The roof deck and central courtyard with fountain were unexpected extras. A wonderful, relaxing stay. I can't think of anything that they could have done better. Anything that I needed, the staff helped with right away. What's not to like ?

Its in the most convenient location, its absolutely beautiful, and its a peaceful place to come back to after a long day of adventures in and around Antigua. Also, the staff is super nice and responsive, and it was easy and convenient to book a shuttle to and from the airport.
• Preston (10/5): - The staff was extremely accommodating. Hotel was beautiful. My flight was delayed and Hugo was able to allow me into my room around 1am and we felt very welcome. I will certainly stay here on my next visit whenever that may be.

The staff was so polite- they even offered to hold onto our bags for us while we hiked a nearby volcano. I highly recommend booking with and using the services of Posada San Sebastian. Nothing was unsatisfactory.
• Brooke (9/5): Would 100% come back to stay again. - The location was great. Walking distance to everything in Antigua. Hugo Jr and Sr were both wonderful hosts. The decor is awesome, and the rooftop is incredible. The beds were a bit uncomfy.

Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar die zelfs om 4 uur zijn bed uitkwam zodat ik zorgeloos met de shuttle meekom. Dagelijks schoonmaak. Zeer centraal gelegen. Het kan er wat frisjes zijn. Maar er zijn extra dekens op de kamer

• Frauke (6/5): Lovely “annex” - pay at the home stay - I can’t comment on Posada San Sebastián as I was moved to an “annex” which turned out to be a lovely, much more affordable home stay one block away. In case you’re moved to the home stay, make sure to pay with the host there and not the hotel price! The hotel manger tried to take 100% commission.
• Marie (9/5): Un lieu très charmant bien situé - Chambre confortable et étonnamment calme alors qu'elle donne sur le patio. La décoration est vraiment chouette, chinée et étonnante. La terrasse en rooftop offre une vue à 360° sur Antigua. Emplacement central très apprécié. Accueil un peu mitigé : nous sommes arrivés en fin de matinée, il était convenu que nous pouvions laisser les sacs avant le check-in dans l'après-midi mais à notre arrivée nous avons trouvé porte close. Ne vous fiez pas aux commentaires mentionnant le petit déjeuner : il n'est pas proposé (ou alors était-ce juste nous ?)

Atmosphere relaxing, place is very quiet even though you are right in the center. Staff very nice. The owner an excellent gentleman. WiFi very good. Price wise is perfect. Everything you need is around you. There is nothing not to like about this place.

• Jane (9/5): Perfect - This was a complete surprise. I loved the colonial design and antiquities of the interior, so interesting. The upper floor gives a beautiful 360 view of the city. This was a really nice place to relax. The courtyard is gorgeous with fountains and plants (and hummingbirds). There was ample hot water, drinking water and full coffee pot for the morning. I was happy to use the generous kitchen and fridge. I made my own travel lunch and a simple dinner. The staff are kind people. I had a wonderful stay of two nights. It is close to the central park.
• Yi-Ting (10/5): - Fantastic stay! The staff let us check in early, which was a huge help. We spent one night, left our luggage during a two-day volcano tour, and came back dusty after two days with no shower. Without us even asking, they offered us a place to shower while we waited for our next flight — incredibly kind. The room was clean and comfortable, and everyone we met was warm and helpful. Truly excellent service. Highly recommend!

• Joelle (9/5): I would go back and recommend this hostel - I experienced a lovely welcome. Posada San Sebastián is very well located in the center of Antigua, with an easy access to most places by foot. I had a private room, private bathroom, about $230 for 3 nights. Likely less for shared bathroom. Very close to the Parque Central, at the main stop of the shared rides. The halls feel like an antique museum. Friendly staff. No breakfast included, just morning coffee and a shared refrigerator. Drinking water is available at all times At the time, I did have my own internet and the WiFi was a little spotty. This rendered doing research a bit difficult. I would have loved some tourist documentation on site.
• Stephen (8/5): No complaints. No chain hotels in Antigua. - Excellent location The hotel is full of clutter. I felt sorry for the cleaner who had to dust it all. Some might call it boutique charm but give me a Holiday Inn with white walls and functional fittings.

• Oscar (10/5): Como en casa en Antigua Guatemala - La ubicación es perfecta. Caminas a donde quieres, y puedes regresar a dejar las compras o regresar por algo y volver a otro lugar sin perder tiempo, ya que puedes tomar varias rutas. Todas las personas que nos atendieron fueron muy amables y justos en un cambio de nuestra reservación. Podría decirse el que no tiene parqueo, pero me gustó su amabilidad en darnos contactos de parqueos privados y otras formas de conseguir uno, cerca del hotel.
• Aidan (4/5): Great location, lots of flaws - Amazing location in the center of town. Free filtered water Shower didn’t drain, room was hot with no AC, no windows in room so it was dark, no protection from noise so it was loud, room was small. Expensive for no breakfast included.
