• Earl (7/5): Overall a pleasant stay at Orchard Club, if a little expensive. - Breakfasts excellent. Bed comfortable. Prior notice that we would be on top floor, with several flights of stairs would have been appreciated! I am 82 years old and I did not need several flights of stairs to climb every time we left the property. A lock on the bathroom door is needed.

• Stephenson (10/5): Home on the high street... - Staying in an historic building with bags of character, big comfortable rooms, lovely staff and great breakfasts...so the floorboards creak, the place is 300 years old man! A lot of thought has gone into making the Orchard Club an 'experience', I would recommend it as a place to stay. Not being able to check in before 4pm

The bedroom had a comfortable bed, two armchairs and a table, a mini bar and well stocked coffee & tea facilities. The breakfast was wonderful Our bedroom faced on to a busy street, so there was some noise, although earplugs were provided

Although we didn’t need all the snacks and drinks that were available in the room, they were not overpriced. We were in Room 5. The bed was a superking which is always a bonus but the mattress although acceptable would benefit from an upgrade.

• Snashys (8/5): - Convenient for the town centre and free parking. Excellent breakfast with a wide range of options. Complimentary eye masks . The building is shut from 12am to 4pm with no ability to check in, leave luggage or use the toilets if you have travelled. No staff on site at all, no night cover either in case of an emergency! No explanation of exactly what the emergency procedures are! It is a very old building with a clearly heightened fire risk. For this reason, we probably wouldn't stop on the top floor again.

• Kulnan (8/5): Good for a night stay - Staff is very nice, lovely breakfast. Room is ok. Location not at the river/no view but short walking distance to the viewpoint/castle and market. It’s not a hotel as the name suggests. The building is closed 12:00-16:00. No staff around/no amenities. Parking entrance rather tight, we had a room out of the main building looking over parking lot.

• Caroline (7/5): A nice stay that could be so much better with some investment. - The best thing about the place was the great, friendly and helpful staff who were lovely. I had a comfortable room and the continental elements of the breakfast were nice although the cooked breakfast wasn't too great. Please get them a decent toaster that works properly, they did the best with what they had but should be given decent equipment Not very appealing to have to go round the back, which was far from attractive and didn't create a good first impression. To then find a poor reception area which was basically a cupboard. A pity for the staff who do their best with what they've got. Would be so much nicer and more welcoming to go through the original front door from the main street to find a welcoming reception area.
• Robert (9/5): We couldn't have picked a better place to stay as it was convenient for everything we wanted to see. - The location was perfect for the local square and castle. It was close to the restaurants we booked and there are some nice pubs close by. Its on the flat which makes walking into town (100 yards) easy. The main bus station is 100 yards away. Get a bus to Mother Shipton's Cave and the riverside ( 1 stop) to avoid a very steep hill. The accommodation is 300 years old so expect stairs to your room. Request room 12 if you have mobility issues as its on the ground floor near the entrance. The rooms are clean and tidy and the staff are very nice and welcoming. Coffee and tea facilities in the room.The breakfasts are freshly cooked and the service was great. Free car parking is available to the rear of the property. The place has character. Nothing

This meant it took a long time to get to sleep as the road was very busy until really late. The bed was comfy enough but it was a four poster and creaked every time you moved. It was nice and warm in the room in the morning but not that warm when we checked in.

• Peter (9/5): exelant stay. - What's not to like at the Orchard Club Hotel? I sent a message to the property asking if we could park up in advance of booking in at 4.00 pm. The reply was yes, of course. We arrived at 12.45 to let it be known we had parked up. The young Lady asked if we would like to check in as the room was ready. The Hotel is more or less in the Town centre. The Hotel has a lot of quirky features in line with an older building. The bed was a super King and comfy, I say this with 50 years as a bed maker behind me. The breakfast was more than enough to fill you up for hours. Plus, all the staff were approachable and professional. Next time in Knaresborough, we shall try to book here. nothing was all good.

I had a double room which was beautifully warm and cosy and was really well presented. Lovely comfortable bed. There were plenty of complimentary refreshments on offer in the room along with a bottle of wine, prosecco and snacks available at a reasonable cost with a beautiful lounge downstairs to enjoy these in if you so choose. Beautiful touches such as a radio and a hot water-bottle added to the comfort of the room. Complimentary parking was available just behind the property. 5-10 minute walk into the heart of Knaresborough. Great staff; friendly, kind and courteous. Breakfast, included in the price, was amazing! I had the best porridge (with sultanas steeped in whiskey!) that I have ever had in my life - fabulous! Asked at the end of the stay if there was anything that could be improved! There really wasn’t! Wonderful hospitality, wonderful stay altogether. Would definitely highly recommend. Absolutely nothing! Loved everything about it!

• Gillian (10/5): ORCHARD ✨️ - Perfect sums up our stay. The staff are polite, friendly and accommodating. The lady who showed us to our room was very welcoming. The room has everything you need. Clean and comfortable. The honesty bar and snacks were a nice touch. Breakfast was gorgeous, plenty of choice and cooked to order. A charming hotel in a prime location.
