- BronC (8/5): - Unbeatable location, on a street just outside of Gion. Cut through a small alleyway and you are right at the main Gion bridge. The bunks were solid walls which is good for additional privacy and quiet. The staff were super helpful, and helped me with my luggage transfer form which was greatly appreciated. 7 Eleven is a block or so away. It's very clean and tidy. Slippers and shoe cubby's are provided. The bathroom is outside the dorm (for women) so don't forget your swipe card!

Laundry is located across the street and there is one machine on the top floor. Very clean and quiet. Private and clean showers and nice common area on main level. Sometimes only 2-3 showers were open for use and there was a bit of a queue but only really impacted me on one night - otherwise completely loved the stay and would stay again!

- joaquin (10/5): Volvería. - Excelente la ubicación. A tres calles del canal de shirakawa, todo, hostel cómodo, limpio, silencioso, volvería. Buena relación calidad y precio. Que cobran por dejar las maletas antes del check in o después del check out y que si no haces el check in antes de las 10pm, pierdes tu reserva y te cobran todo. Es importante que tengan en cuenta que los vuelos se pueden retrasar y uno puede llegar tarde al hostel, no hay personal después de las 10pm. Volvería a este hostel

Les sanitaires sont propres et on a droit à une nouvelle serviette tous les jours! Le personnel est présent et répond avec plaisir aux questions posées. He estado en hostales del mismo tipo también en Kyoto en los que he pagado una cuarta parte y la habitación era de 6 camas en lugar de 25; podías usar las toallas que necesitaras, no solo 1 que te daban al entrar; tenían recepción 24h; me explicaron absolutamente todo al llegar y me enseñaron las instalaciones... No puedo decir que el sitio está mal porque estaría mintiendo... Pero no vale 80€/noche por una cama en una habitación con otras 24 personas

My stay was challenging compared to the rest of my time in Japan. The room felt quite crowded, and there was loud noise from guests packing and unpacking late into the night (mid night), which made it difficult to rest. I also felt that shared spaces like the bathrooms were not cleaned frequently. The mattress wasn’t the most comfortable, and combined with the noise, I didn’t sleep very well and felt quite sore the next day.

- Hirotaka (10/5): 外国人向けなのか日本人客向けなのかも含め変化しているマナーやルールを知らせて欲しかった。ロケーションがよく良い宿泊でした。 - ロケーションが良くすぐ隣に100円ローソンもあり宿泊者の初日にとっては便利に位置している 。その後も利用には役立っている。駅も近く移動しやすい場所であるので大変に都合は良い。宿泊施設内はスタッフの清掃が行き届いていてトイレやシャワールームも綺麗。 世界中の観光客が多く来ていて日本人の自分も英語を喋れるから都合は良いのだが、チェックアウト前日の外国人はルールを全く守らずに、自分の借りてるサイズの館内スリッパを知らぬ間に勝手に持って行っていたり煩く汚くもしていったりした。自分のベッドの所持品も盗まれる可能性もあると警戒はした。監視カメラがあるとはいえ常識やマナーを守らない傾向がある。ベッドルームの照明が暗くなるのは分かるがあまりにも暗すぎてフロアに置いてある他人のスーツケースやサンダルも踏んでしまう。そしてベッドの中にある照明も暗すぎて見えにくいため自分は後日にペンライトを購入した。トイレにはトイレ用のスリッパがあるのだが、何人かの客はスリッパに履き替えず宿泊施設内のスリッパで入っていた。あとは宿泊施設内のスリッパの数が少なく、大きなサイズも足りてなく感じる。団体客がいて多くの人が来ていた時に入った自分は困った経験がある。 １０年以上前から何度も来ている自分ではあるが、ここ数年は外国人客が以上に多く、民泊でのマナーが各国の違いにもよって新たにでき始めているのではないかと感じる。宿泊所のメインルーム・ダイニングに以前はテレビがあり地元ニュースに気象情報や番組を見れていたのだが（オリンピックやワールドカップなども含む）テレビ自体置かなくなってしまったのでパソコンも持たずに一人旅をしている自分にとって違いを感じた。他人が多くいる中で1人シーンと食事をする事となる。 良くなかった点としてもう一つ。宿泊予定していた自分が少しつく時間が遅くなりそうになり、時間確認等のために受付へ電話したのだが全く繋がらずにいた事。最初は15時半頃からの電話だったが、16時17時18時21時と何度も何度も連絡するも一度も出ずにいた事。自分はあまりにも不安で別のネットカフェやホステルも急遽予約しようとまでした。何もできずとにかく向かって21時半に到着した。そこで初めて受付と会話ができ、予約通りに入る事ができた。だが不安と不安が非常に大き区なる結果に。少なくとも留守番電話にでも切り替わってくれと。外国人客ばかりで日本人客が全くいなくなったからなのか4、5年前までとは違う雰囲気の変化。それと外国人向けの値段なのか宿泊費の違いが日本人客離れにしているのではないかと。１泊１万円以上も高くなっていたからしばらく４泊もできずだった。英語喋れない日本人客にとっては居心地が良いかは分からない。他人と全く喋る必要がない宿泊者にとっては無関係でしょうが。

- Cecilia (10/5): Exceptional stay! - Exceptional stay! I loved the size of the room and the privacy of each bed, which made it feel much more comfortable than a typical dorm. The women’s bathroom and showers were on the same floor, making everything very convenient and private. My bed also had a window with natural light, which was a lovely detail. The lobby was very comfortable for relaxing, having dinner, or working, and always had a warm atmosphere. The location is perfect, surrounded by train stations and within walking distance of many important spots in Kyoto. I would definitely stay here again!
