• Gabb (10/5): One night stay at Captain Morgan - I loved the proximity to the lake and how it is sort of off the beaten path. They have a high jump to dive in the water which was a lot of fun, and we took the tiki boat out too which was fun. I loved being able to mingle with other travelers too. The staff was friendly, and the room and bathroom were clean The bar closed at 10, which seemed a bit early. Also there aren't many food options nearby which isn't the hostels fault but just know that before you book. You can find nearby pupusas though

The location on the lake was great, getting there not so much .. parking was limited and the road was rough rough. I also didnt know the time restrictions for food/drinks and rules for the group boat shows in thie pictures.

• Colja (10/5): - Wunderschöne Lage direkt am See, sehr schöne Anlage Aus den Duschen kommt quasi kein Wasser, wir haben Jet Skis auf 17:30 Uhr reserviert. Dann haben die von der Unterkunft ihre Jetskis vermietet und die waren um 17:30 Uhr nicht zurück, dann mussten sie fremde Jetskis leihen und wir mussten sogar noch extra mehr bezahlen, obwohl der Planungsfehler seitens der Unterkunft war. Das war ziemlich frech... Trotzdem super Unterkunft

O quanto individual é simples, mas atende muito bem - até porque vc não vai querer ficar no quarto. A estrutura do bar é sensacional: com redes, balanços e plataforma para pular no lago. Oferecem uso do jet ski, e valeu a pena. Ótimo local!

• Adam (9/5): - Amazing location, staff really takes care of you. They have information on how to get to Santa Ana Volcano. Bar is open till 10 or 12 and there's a papuseria 3 min away open till 8ish. Shared rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and clean. Bus to Santa Ana runs right outside the hostel, but even ubering is possible and rather cheap. The only thing is that the place always has music going and there are lots of people so it's not exactly a chill vibe. But overall excellent.
• Jessica (10/5): - This place gives a nice view of the lake, and the place is beautiful. I ate down the street at the pupuseria, so cannot speak about the restaurant. They have information available by the front desk about which busses to catch and how to get around. The staff member that checked me in was very helpful. The room itself is small, but the bed is comfortable, the fan helped keep the room cool, and the shower was warm. There isn't much to do in the area, but this is the perfect place to rest and DO NOTHING! I loved it. I read a book in the hammock and watched people jump off the pier into the lake. Lovely stay.

• TIAN (10/5): - 我在这里住了两周，度过了很愉快的时光。 位置非常好，靠着湖边，并且有平台可以跳水或者游泳，是一个非常休闲的地方。 本质上这里不是一个青旅，实际上他们只有一间宿舍房间，其他都是私人房间，所以并不是非常有青旅的文化。但是也许这里的老板想给预算较低的客人也有体验的机会，对此我感到非常开心。 他们有厨房，但是是和餐厅厨房共用的，所以你可能会感到有些拘谨。由于大部分客人不是宿舍房间的，他们更倾向于在餐厅消费，所以厨房并不拥挤，几乎随时可用。 总体来说，卫生也不错。 这里的尘土较大，因为外面的马路是土路，另外，蚊虫也比较多，建议携带驱蚊水。

On peut se baigner directement de l'hostel et ils ont deux petites piscines aussi. Le personnel était gentil. Pupuseria le soir à 3 minutes à pied en sortant à gauche. Difficulté de se stationner.

• Lindsay (7/5): - I enjoyed the outdoor seating area just outside of my room. The restaurant was also nice. The bed seemed to be old and worn and had saggy areas. The pillows were lumpy. I woke up extremely sore in my neck & back. In their photos they show someone using a paddleboard. I specifically booked here because I planned to spend the day paddling around the lake. When I arrived there were no paddleboards for rent. You can rent a seadoo but for the time you can use it, its pretty expensive.

• Heide (8/5): Gute und preisgünstige Option direkt am See - Absolut tolle Lage direkt am See. Der Balkon vor dem Zimmer bietet eine wunderschöne Aussicht. Das Zimmer selbst ist für den Preis sehr gut ausgestattet, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Das Auto ist auch sicher untergebracht. Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würde jederzeit wieder hier buchen. Naturgemäß läuft laute Musik an den Bars, die man in den Zimmern hört. Aber relativ früh am Abend wird die Musik abgestellt, und dann hat man auch Ruhe. Für mich war das absolut okay.

• Tara (10/5): Deluxe Room was just awesome. - A fantastic hostel with a great team making it a lovely relaxing experience. We stayed in the deluxe rooms which were well appointed and very comfortable. Great place albeit not much nearby unless you travel. We loved it all.

Les lits sont confortables et la literie est propre. Il y a également une fontaine d’eau chaude et d’eau froide. Le bruit des clients qui font la fête jusqu’à 3h du matin. Si vous souhaitez du calme, je pense qu’il vaut mieux venir en semaine et éviter les week end festif.

• Meunier (8/5): Charmant - L'hostel est charmante et agréable. La nourriture était correcte, les cocktails délicieux. L'hébergement (douche communes, toilettes, chambre) était propre. Un bel hostel pour relaxer et profiter du lac Coatepeque. Il faisait un peu froid la nuit, une petite couverture supplémentaire en plus du petit drap léger aurait été apprécié.

• Richard (8/5): Petit hôtel simple au bord du lac - Accès direct au lac pour se baigner, parking, chambre avec vue sur lac. Tout le long du lac il y a un long mur en béton très moche , tout est privé, c'est triste de couper la vue du lac de la route, comme cela , la route est très poussiéreuse.

• Alice (8/5): Glad I stayed to see the lake - not sure I’d want to be there longer than one or two nights - Gorgeous lakeside location. Nice sunset. Good value. Nice pool, though I admit I didn’t actually swim in it. Food was tasty - I had the choripan. Nice hammocks - although some less self aware guests might keep bumping into the hammock closest to the swings on the dock if you’re unlucky. The deck area got very clogged with people - not sure all of them were staying at the accommodation either. “Hot” shower water was cold - this was in the evening so perhaps it’s better to shower earlier. Was a bit cold in my room and no blanket / duvet, just a thin top sheet. Very loud in the morning. Woke up at around 6am to noise around the accommodation, and the room I was in was under the main reception area so a lot of heavy footsteps on top. It was also very windy during my stay and furniture seemed to keep blowing over.

• Sierra (5/5): Overall, good price for the stay. Just bring an extra blanket, towel, earplugs. - The view and location were amazing. The overall venue was cool and nice. Surprisingly quieter than I was expecting. Overall, the price, people, location, and setup of the hostel was definitely worth it. We requested a quiet room, but were assigned the room closest to the bar. Luckily it wasn't too bad at night; it was quieter than expected. However, our room was over the water so it got chilly at night and there was only a cheap sheet for a blanket. Could have used a little bit more of a blanket. Also, the bed had bugs in it- not bed bugs, but just a bunch of random bugs. They probably can't help that as the room is over the water but be warned. The towels provided also didn't look very clean.

We got there at 8h and there was no availabily left (only for el tibet). And in this case, you would need to leave before 7am
• Benjamin (10/5): Relaxing at the lake - Awesome Hostel, chilled place at the lake and easy to reach from Santa Ana and the Volcano. Dorms are quiet, there are hot showers and everything was super clean. Staff was super nice, especially Dani at the bar, providing me with Pilsener all day :)

• Mathias Walder Jr. (5/5): Beach Club with rooms - The location is great (especially for sunrise), they have kayaks to rent (we did it at 7am) and you can jump in and enjoy beers right at the water BUT this really is not a hostel and shouldn't be advertised as one. In fact, I recommend everyone to stay for the day, as it is really more of a beach (lake) club with rooms. It has no kitchen, no free water. So you are forced to constantly buy water and food from there (since there is nothing around). Just come here during the day and leave again.

• Reynaldo (9/5): Contemplación asegurada - La ubicación del lugar es muy buena, se sitúa frente a la laguna y eso esta genial, dentro del lugar hay diferentes espacios que se pueden usar para relajarse o platicar con otras personas, cada punto del lugar tiene una vista diferente a la laguna. Particularmente que la calle principal no esta adecuada para caminar, no hay mucha iluminación además que es muy polvosa, salir del lugar suele ser un poco desesperante por la cantidad de polvo que hay alrededor. Yo sé que esa parte no depende del hostal del todo pero bueno, no es la única empresa que se encuentra ahí.

• Hein (8/5): Enjoy the lake - Nice hostel with rooms with a great view of the lake. You can swim in the lake from the deck of the hostel, or you can chill in a small swimming pool. As the property has multiple areas where guests can sit and enjoy drinks and meals, it is challenging for the staff to manage them effectively. Also, be aware that this hostel attracts younger travellers, who can be a bit loud in all their enthusiasm while playing and jumping in the water. If you aim at a few days of relaxation I would avoid this hostel.
• Quentin (9/5): Emplacement superbe - Le lieu est vraiment super, je conseille d'y passer une nuit et de profiter du lac. Vous pourrez faire des activités comme du kayaks depuis l'hostal directement. Les gens sont supers cool là bas. La nourriture n'était pas exceptionnel et l'utilisation de la cuisine avec les cuisinières qui préparent en même temps était plus gênants qu'autre chose. Comme l'impression de déranger.
• Andree-Anne (8/5): - Meilleur emplacement possible ! La vue sur le lac, la terrasse du restaurant. Le personnel était correct Le manque de confort du matelas
