- Verified traveler (6/5): ok - just ok
- Wendy (2/5): - Most horrific experience i have ever had and the most ignorant people i have met. I am a business owner and a 4 time customer service excellence award winner and this place is a sinking ship if they continue to treat people the way i was treated. Also this place was advertised as pet friendly on expedia and after 11 hours of driving with 2 large dogs and a cat, we checked in and 10 mins later we were evicted because she said there was a no pet rule, i explained it said it was on expedia and she then replied to not get up in her face, to get my animals and my crap and get the heck out.(this is a tined down version as i cant post profanity)Refused to refund me any money, said it was not her problem and i shouldn't have booked with expedia. Expedia also refused to refund my money. My husband and i relocated 3000 miles across the u.s to canada and we were on the road for almost 2 weeks, stayed in many budget/pet friendly hotels and all of our other experiences were great. Avoid this place at all cost!!
- Chasidy (10/5): Satisfied - Clean and comfortable
- MIchael (4/5): - Everyone I met at the desk was polite and helpful. A lot of construction going on, on the property & in the area, so it was a mess. No ice at present, very inconvenient for a traveler. Nice people, just a rough time for them.
- KRUNAL (2/5): - Worst hotel to stay. Donāt stay here. Beware. 0 star. There was strong paint smell as looks like it was recently painted. We had room backside and bright light was going thru blind. Water pressure in shower was extremely slow. No option to lock the door inside bathroom. Number of towels only and smelly. Felt like a junk place. Floor was came out. I wish I could have chosen another hotel.
- Cynthia Frances (8/5): - I understand Chattanooga's Budgetel is a work in progress. I appreciate what work has been done. The best parts of my stay was the comfy bed, the larger refrigerator, quiet neighbors, convenience to food and shopping, the airport, and I-75. What I feel needs improvement is access to the main office/coffee/ice without driving through the gate and then having to drive all the way around the facility. Maybe there is a way and I just couldn't figure it out. Perhaps a map in the room?
I was in Room 1106. Saturday morning I found a water leak dripping into the bathtub. It came from another room and when the person finished the shower, the leaking stopped. Pieces of the ceiling fell into the tub. Also, the piece of furniture that supports the TV and the microwave is wobbly. I was afraid the TV was going to fall over everytime I bumped or leaned on the piece.
- Marie Celine (10/5): - Jason, General Manager, is the ultimate professional!
- Joseph (2/5): - Nothing at all worst hotel experience I've ever had. Unprofessional no management at all housekeepers entering room unannounced without permission. No cable nothing works nothing but problems from the staff who are completely out of line. Never will I stay her or recommend anyone to be ripped off by this awful place.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Ok for quick solo stop over - Very friendly staff. Looking for a little revenue while they decide whether to renovate or demolish hotel- IMHO. Spartan room, Neighbor smoked outside, drifted in to my room through the cracks around the door. Iād probably stay over on the other side of the freeway next time.
- Kathy (2/5): - We got there at 9 pm to a very armed security guard and locking barbwire fences. That said you could only have visitors from 9 am-7pm. I am not going to stay somewhere where I am treated like a prison. I drove off, and found another room. Very unsafe feeling
- Alisha (2/5): - Had a issue when we first got there and then got to the room and it was horrible and was suppose to be 2 queen beds and 2 people couldn't have even sleep in it so we left and ask for refund the gm was a jerk period
- Brandon (8/5): - Staff eas great
- Jacqueline (4/5): - The property was dirty and looked unsafe. The bathtub was awful and looked like it would fall apart.
- Sharon (2/5): - The room was partially renovated but not finished. Not clean. No room service. When I wanted clean towels, I had to bring my dirty towels to the office to have them replaced. Staff told me I had to take my trash to the dumpster, and the trash can was extremely small. Donāt stay here if you want relaxation and comfort.
- rebecca (2/5): - The place looked like a serial killer motel was very uncomfortable couldnt sleep because i was nervous love the staff though they were great wish they like the property walking in the room smelled like black mold felt like my whole family was in jail didnt like that fact they checked all of are i.ds and the police are watching the cameras no no if i ever leave Michigan again i will never go there again totally terrible place to vacation
- Christopher (8/5): - Very accommodating GM. Security 24/7 so you feel safe in a not so great area. Very cheap rates with free wifi and clean rooms. I will definitely be back here once I come back down to Florida. I traveled from FL to IA. Made it safe thanks to Budgetel!
- NorthStar63650016201 (10/5): Great business bring great people - Mr.Jason and the guards are the best ! Very patient and understanding. The rooms are clean and the mattresses are comfortable. Showers are great and there's no DEPOSITS at the moment which is a plus !! Mr.Jason and Budgetel have my recommendation!!!! Thank you!
- 306jessiec (2/5): Absolute worst!! 0 stars!! - Female staff are rude...male staff stare way too much! Very nasty all around. First room we got wasn't even cleaned and smelled like a million cigarettes. The bedside table had a baggie with white residue and a straw and a dirty rag. Then there were so many roaches it didn't make no sense. I complained. They moved us to another suite..that one didn't smell as bad but was still nasty. Killed a big brown recluse soon as i walked in!! Still had roaches but not as bad. There were bloody tissues under the edge of the bed etc.. Figured it wouldn't get better so we cleaned the room wiped walls glass etc. Then a day or so later a mouse came from out the dresser. Called the front desk and no one ever came. Pretty sure they might have had bed bugs or something too. Was being bitten by something at night. Then They were working on the water and said it would be off 2 hours but it was 2 days! After all that they had the nerve to keep half my deposit and they try and charge a $50 week pet fee when they already have pets!! Get rid of the roaches spiders and mice! My show dog is cleaner than your whole hotel. The health dept needs to stay here!! A nasty hotel with a bunch of wierdo crazy drug addicts!
- Angie (2/5): Caution...roaches. - This was one of the worst hotels Iāve ever been to. There was alive and dead roaches in our room. Septic tanks laying around outside. No access to our rooms without employee to unlock our room. Bed frame look liked it was made from part of a frame from air conditioners. Trash overflowing dumpsters. We didnāt stay. I have little ones. We left immediately. The only good thing was the lady behind the desk. She did not belong in that place. She was way too clean and neat to be there. Very nice lady. My money was refunded.
Here is a couple of pictures. We left the room so quickly I didnāt get pictures of the roaches or the bed.
- Connector721014 (2/5): Worst experience. - terrible...Staffs were rude and mannerless, the room was filthy, dirty. I will never recommend this hotel. We had booked the deluxe room but by the end when we reached there they gave us some uncleaned leftover room, the surrounding was not safe especially at night we got scared and was dangerous. People stare at you as if you came from a different planet, we cannot sleep due to the noise of vehicles overnight. This hotel is ridiculous!
- Patricia (2/5): HOTEL HELL - Tv didn't work and nobody did anything about it. Nothing in room but tv, bed, night stands and 1 chair Toilet rocked and seat had only 1 screw and it was loose Floors were so sticky that we had to wear shoes the whole time and they'd actually stick to the floor and on the last day ( we checked out a day early) water flooded through to our room from next door. People were rude and wouldn't help I even asked housekeeping for her mop to mop the floors in our room and she refused. Worst place I have ever been at And I'm 63 years old. AWFUL PLACE AND PEOPLE
- Adrian (2/5): Unpleasent experience - Would not stay again!! Stayed for 4 days checked in Sunday 8/18 checked out Thursday 8/22 . Room was not cleaned once the entire time we were there. Beds were not changed garbage was not emptied . Offered more towels and toilet paper once in the entire time there. Was advertised as having 4 beds only to find out they meant 2 double beds would sleep 4 people.very misleading. Pool was advertised but certainly could not use it. Patio door was broken and had to really struggle to open and close it. Place was not fully cleaned before our stay. See the pictures attached of the pool. If you are going to advertise or say something is a perk you need to have that available. Very disappointed only stayed as we had no other option after driving 12 hours.
- michelle (2/5): Donāt stay - Worst room ever looks as if it hasnāt been cleaned in months dust was thick on very thing tub shower curtain has ever been cleaned the hallway smell like there was something dead in it door looked like it has been kick in even with the security guards letting you in and out I didnāt feel safe staying there I checked out made a video but couldnāt share it
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Decent . Good for a cheap place to sleep for a few hours
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It is extremely dirty & it smells awful.
The staff member was very kind to have me see the room first. I was very grateful.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I never got checked in. I got there after 11 no one would come check me in. Although it stated check in is from 3pm to 6am. The guard there called and told them i was there and what reservation stated but their reply is come back in the morning. I had moved all day had a tired child and that was not what i would have expected or wanted to hear. I went somewhere else for the night and then for the rest of my stay also. I also was told by a guest that night they were using screw drivers to open the doors for guest. Its the only hotel on that small road that has large tall fencing around it like a compound sure safety is of upmost importance but right next to it is a big nice fairfields marriot. And it didnt seem to be surrounded in a fence. Anyways that was my experience i dont know about anything there but what i seen and was told.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The worst, filthiest dump on earth
I fled after a short nap
- Sam (2/5): - It was disgusting and very trashy. Itās like being in a prison with the security gate. The first room we had didnāt even have a handle on the door. The second room was filthy had bugs (dead and alive) and mild on the bathroom. We couldnāt run fast enough.
- Kennith (2/5): Locked out. - We got into town rather late and the place was closed down. We were told the office closed at 11pm and didn't open until 7am. So after a long drive we had to find another hotel to stay at. There was a large security gate that was locked during that time the office was closed which I find odd. It looked like a prison. I wouldn't book there again.
- 667maeb (2/5): Rates matter - The workers were rude, we had to kill bugs, buy our own towels. The vending machines and ice machines were broken and no one came to clean the room. May have been because of short staff but, I donāt recommend visiting or staying in this motel. No refunds and half the time the cards donāt work, the rooms pictured are an expectation for the sour reality. But the beds were comfortable, but Iām not sure if they were clean or not.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nobody available to check in past 11pm, NOBODY! Drug activity, dirty, smelly rooms, dangerous neighborhood.
- James (8/5): I would like my free night - Great stay have fun there I just keep getting a runaround for my free night with the hotel.com
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property is a disaster. Needs lots of work to be usable as a motel.
- Tonya (2/5): Needs Condemned, NASTY & unprofessional - 1- Booked room for 5 people & 4 beds-- Only has 2 beds & pull out nasty couch- would not give us sheets for it--
2- Gate attendant on Fri night took 10+ mins to let us in, saying we were trying to sneak people in, Even though I had receipt showing 5 guest- & 3 were teenagers
3- NO POOL- Nasty & said it would be over a week before getting cleaned & health inspector to arrive.
4- Sat - @ 12:30- asked for room service & clean linen- Were told yes but it'd be few hrs. 8:30p - still no service- went to front desk & were told sorry cleaning crew already left, said not sure why they missed you, & then REFUSED TO GIVE US TOILET PAPER- They said they didn't have access to-
5- Also would have to bring dirty towels all way to front desk before getting clean ones.
6- SUN MORNING- KIDS WOKE UP BROKE OUT ALL OVER & THEIR DOCTOR SAID IT WAS BITES OR EVEN WORSE & PROBABLY GOT FROM HOTEL.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - First let me begin by saying the property is entirely fenced off with security fencing. Never mentioned on the website. Needless to say that sent up red flags. We didn't feel safe in the area especially after seeing this. The room number we were provided - Did NOT exist. We ended up canceling and going somewhere else.
- Connie (2/5): Undeliverable - When we checked in the room keys wouldn't work after three trys them moved us to a room with a king bed it was covered in cockroaches everywhere so we didn't stay there I can't believe they are still in business
- Britt (2/5): Never again - Starting with check in ...they give you a hard time more snfotr paper work .....you have to be let in and out of the property..... before even getting to the room security dtoprd is and have us a hard time. When getting into the room the room is not what was described in the booking info....no microwave.. fridge... No balcony... No seperate living room.....ok so the bed was a king.....tub and shower was dirty....the room had roaches...we will never use this property ever ever again
- SIMARION (2/5): - Nasty bugs and unsafe
- Lillian (2/5): - Do not stay here unless you are okay with not getting what is advertised- also Expedia team could not help the night I was there or afterwards because I paid at the hotel and not exactly when booking.
The Expedia page said my room had a refrigerator, microwave and 4 beds, a private balcony, a separate living room and a desk- however this is all incorrect.
There is no refrigerator so all of my food and drinks , including 150 ounces of breast milk ( which is worth well more than what I spent on the room) spoiled and I will have to go out for breakfast because their food, milk and juice all went bad.
There is no microwave, and I cannot find an ice machine for a suitable option.
There are two beds in the room, not 4.
There is no private balcony- just the outside stairs that lead to the shared balcony for everyone to access their rooms and when you need to go out you just smell the smoke of all the guests smoking at the stairs which is not something I want near any of my children.
There is no separate living room. Just the one room with two beds and a bathroom.
There is no desk.
The telephone in the room (which on the phone lists the information of a Marriott in Atlanta) does not have a wire to plug in.
The television does not turn on- I tried with the remote in addition with physically - touching the button.
My daughter screamed so loudly at the bugs in the bathroom.
I stayed the night because I was exhausted from driving all day with 3 kids aged 5 and un
- Patricia (8/5): A lil Shabby, but staff was on point - The pool was inoperable. No fridge or microwave in the room, couldn't even rent one. Hotel front desk, Donnell was awesome. He did what he could to accomodate our little league team. If I ever stay here again, I'll make sure to find out perks, BEFORE I pay. Didn't get to see the suites, but people were nice.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Broken toilet seat - The staff was very nice and professional, however when we got to our room the toilet seat was broken which we found out about when my 4 year old almost fell face first off of it while using the toilet. My husband asked the front desk to fix it and they said they would sent someone up but nobody ever came. We only spent one night though and the beds were at least super comfy so other than that I don't really have a complaint.
- Amber (8/5): - Loved the fact it's. Gated
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The manager was very patient and friendly. She could not find my reservation at the motel (made thru Expedia) and so it took about 25 minutes to figure out everything. It was a really cheap rate ($54) for a night, so I was not expecting much, especially in that part of Chattanooga. The room was updated and clean, but not super well done. It is an extended stay so there are lots of people living there. There is also a security gate for the parking lot. I would not feel super safe in this place if I was there alone.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Liked paper work, hotel was not clean. Staff are friendly, thereās a pool
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I like that it was in a gated area and very private
- Sirtuck (2/5): NIGHTMARE - This is the most horrible Hotel I've ever stayed in in my life shower didn't work that are wouldn't work I got moved 6 times in two weeks I stayed there then I tried to get it refund no refunds I kept moving me and moving me didn't want to fix anything I strongly advise you to seek another hotel the new to condemn this one
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Checked into my room and stepped in a big puddle that was on the side of my bed. They got it taken of care and gave me another room but it ended up being a āsmokingā room instead of a ānon-smokingā room which I asked for. I just donāt think Iāll be coming back here again.
- jennifer (4/5): Avoid unless staying a very short amount of time - Broken furniture, deadbolt wouldnāt lock, weird smell, bad neighborhood, and dirty exterior. The beds were well made and clean. Sign posted that said no prostitution, no drug use/selling. So that kinda tells you what the area is like. People randomly walking around in the parking lot at night.
- Laurie (8/5): Hotel ok, Hotel.com not so good - The hotel really worked with us after Hotels.com never sent our reservation to the hotel.
- Lisa (6/5): 2 moms and 7 children - Rooms were being remodeled but poorly done. The gal working the desk looked & acted very unprofessional but friendly. You have to park inside a gate which you swipe a card to get in. It was broke so you could just drive in but a guard was there at night. He didnāt understand why we didnāt have a card to get in but the gal at the desk said since it didnāt work we didnāt need. So communication was lacking. Pool was not in service but full of scummy water. We originally booked online a suite. It had a pull out bed we needed but those rooms were completely disgusting and set up was just weird. They switched us to double room. They were ok but nothing great. The positive thing I have to say about this hotel is I did not see any bugs and the bedding looked and felt clean. It location was right off of I-24 with a lot of food choices nearby. For the most part felt pretty safe.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property was very unsafe for a mother traveling with her children not safe at all for families.
Very unpleased with the situation
More of a weekly stay place instead of a hotel
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Property probably located in bad place. Heavily fenced to protect the āpatronsā, according to attendant, with open gates.Lots of noise overnight from intoxicated visitors, filthy bathroom. Didnāt have any choice to run away,,because of late night arrival. Unfortunately didnāt have enough time to do proper research of that place. Although,Staff was attentive and cooperative, trying to help as much they can.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The place was a total wreck, dirty, and the doors didnāt lock so I was scared to death
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They had already booked our rooms and we had to find another hotel
- Andrew (6/5): This one a strictly for the budget conscious - This hotel is strictly for the budget-conscious. It is not bad value, but if you can stretch another 15-20%, you may find this additional cost worth spending on a slightly better property. Cleanliness and comfort were OK for the cost, but our room was showing its age with a number of maintenance issues to be addressed. However, I would like to say the staff we met were very helpful and friendly, especially considering they did not have any record of our booking with hotels.com and had to arrange an alternative room. Essentials like wi-fi, heating, hot water and bedding were all OK. In our room, her curtains were half hanging off the railing due to broken hangers and we had to improvise to protect against some very bright outside lighting.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Loved the bed, very comfortable. However, no maid service, had no towels the 2nd night, sink leaked, repairs attemped, left old pipes in bathroom. No tv remote, next night was fixed. Room next to us had a dog barking and sitting in the hall barking at our door. Appreciated the upgrade tho.
- lrh2018 (2/5): Astoundingly bad and dishonest to boot - First "non-smoking" room had the smell of a room that has been smoked in for decades. It had been "remodelled" but not fumigated. Second room, in a corner far from the lot, had not been used enough to smell bad, but had not been cleaned after remodeling - there was construction dust on the floor and streaked dust on the windows. Shower did not work, and the faucet did not work - it had been turned off under the sink because it would not turn off using the handle. Not only no in-room coffee, no LOBBY coffee, never mind a breakfast! 10 days after my stay, two charges showed up on my card, one repeating my charge for a night, one for over $500. Avoid this place like the plague!
