The facilities are clearly in need of refurbishment. While the location is convenient and close to several points of interest, the area can feel a bit dodgy at night. You pull in they unload your car then go park it for you. I liked that a lot. They allow dogs. The hotel is very cute and as a woman I felt very safe there.

- Simon (10/5): The Best Boutique Hotel in Los Angeles - Hotel 850 SVT is easily the most incredible boutique hotel I’ve ever stayed in—and the only place I’ll stay whenever I’m in LA. From pre-arrival communication to thoughtful touches like accepting a delivery and placing it in my room before check-in, every detail was seamless and stress-free. What stood out most was the staff’s willingness to help without hesitation. I left an exotic rental car overnight and mentioned the company would be by to collect it the next morning. They assured me it would be safely parked and waiting out front at the exact time—handled with the same effortless professionalism as everything else during my stay. Simply put, this hotel sets the standard for boutique hospitality.

- yn749 (6/5): Fantastic spot compromised by arbitrary fees - We had a lovely stay at Hotel 850 SVB from June 02-25 to June 04-25, and the room was very nice, making it a pleasant first visit. However, we were unexpectedly charged an amenity fee of $25.00 per night (totaling $50.00), which wasn’t mentioned on the website or in our confirmation. When we asked the staff, they explained it covers bikes, breakfast, and the honor bar. We never used the bikes, the breakfast was minimal (see attached photo), and the honor bar wine was poor quality with no service support. This lack of transparency and the unjustified fee left us disappointed. We’d love to recommend this hotel, but can’t until this is addressed. Hope management resolves this for future guests.

Had a really comfortable and easy stay here, in a great location. The only very slight thing was breakfast was a little disappointing. Would have just loved some more choice of fresh fruit other than an orange, an apple or a banana.

- Vanessa (4/5): - This place is charming and sweet, and in a great place in WeHo for food and walking around. The staff was kind but not super helpful. We were there the weekend of the marathon and weren't warned ahead of time that the street in front of the hotel was going to be closed the entire day on the day of our checkout. We ended up having to uber to an airport hotel and pay for a 2nd hotel for the night to avoid missing our flight the next day. Left a bad taste in our mouths - they should have offered to comp us the second night. We had a family member in a second room that decided not to check out early because she didn't have a flight the next day, and she was trapped at the hotel until after 2pm the day of the marathon as the valet folks forgot to move her car out of the closed zone (they had promised to do so). Also, there are neighbors with very loud barking dogs that leave their pets out day and night, making it hard to sleep.

- Roxtor (10/5): Comfortable relaxing stay - Boutiques hotel in West Hollywood near shops and restaurants. More like an upscale B&B than hotel. Our room was small but clean and comfortable with lots of nice touches like a bar, refrigerator, big bathroom with great amenities, lots of hot water and surprisingly quiet given its near a busy area. The lounge area is inviting and there’s pastries, fruit, yogurt and coffee served in the morning. Staff are friendly and accommodating. There’s sufficient power plugs for charging and wifi is very good. Nice for a short stay or a longer vacation.

Spent an afternoon out with the complementary bikes which was fun. No pool or other amenities of note on site. The housekeepers are phenomenal (I've never commented on housekeeping in my life!) but they were truly special and did not miss one detail. Rooms are wonderful with thoughtful touches everywhere. Common spaces excellent and charming. European breakfast is lovely even though I never had any - I don't eat breakfast but went for a quick look one morning. Valets are all fabulous as well as hotel manager. The only critique and it's not important was the sweet, handsome (pretty eyes) front desk gentleman in the mornings is not a people person and seemed completely checked out and uninterested in talking to guests or offering any warmth or personality. The hotel is so FABULOUS, you won't even care!! I can't wait to go back!

- Pierre (9/5): Beautiful and intimate hotel - Perfectly located in West Hollywood. Very calm street for LA, yet within seconds of all restaurants and bars. Exquisite decoration. Room and bed are comfortable. Complimentary breakfast, simple but fresh. On a 12h only stay, I’ve managed to cross 3 different people at front desk, none of them greeted me with a smile. Very cold welcome at check in. At check out he said you’re good to go, without even looking up from his screen. Very poor level of service to me.

Room was comfortable and the room amenities were excellent. Would stay again as it’s in the heart for Beverly Hills and Hollywood.

In addition we enjoyed complimentary drinks on our first evening as we happened to arrive at Happy Hour - we took ourselves to the roof terrace to enjoy! We were welcomed by Winston who was lovely and made us feel very welcome.

Also the automatic espresso machine!! The only flaw I would say is the room lighting is very dark and not able to adjust it higher than a certain point

I came across this cute Bed & Breakfast and decided to splurge on a room for my husband birthday. We were pleasantly surprised by the property. It gives all the good feels. The staff adds to the unique atmosphere. Love the toiletries and mini bar! Fireplace was perfect for the rainy weather. I also loved the turn down service while we were out for the evening. It's the little touches that separates cute bed & breakfasts from boutique hotels. We will return anytime in West Hollywood ❤️

What made my stay extra special was Chris, the manager. He was so thoughtful and attentive. Would def come back! Thank you Chris!
- Autumn (9/5): Beautiful stay with true getaway vibes even in the city. - I usually hate staying in hotels because I’m so funny about cleanliness. I can find dirt anywhere. However, the rooms were so clean! They were beautifully designed, nice ambiance with different light settings, fireplace and balcony. Will be back soon! It was very loud around 5-8 AM as it sounded like construction was taking place outside the window. Also, you can hear every door slam when someone leaves or goes in their rooms. So it’s not very great in the sound proof area.

In general very expensive for just a room. Paying that amount of money you can find other solutions with more services and facilities Staff very nice except during our check out moment
