• paul (6/5): Value for money,,, Fair Price. - Organised very late check in. No problems key was on reception desk. No lift, Ha room on 2nd floor. Room 207 had singles beds. Bed linens and towels seemed clean. Very small bathroom. No soap or shampoo or free water provided. Never saw any staff checked in at midnight, checked out 0630hrs.

• Jan (6/5): Närhet till Khaosan Road - Hotellet är enkelt men OK för några nätter. Det är prisvärt och man får det man betalar för. Hotellet är fyra våningar högt och saknar hiss så det måste man vara beredd på. Vi valde ett rum med egen toalett och dusch och AC. Hotellet ligger alldeles nära Khaosan Road som är ryggsäcksresenärernas favoritområde. Man är dock inte störd av hög musik och annat på hotellets gata. Det är gott om prisvärda matställen på gatan.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Balla Balla - Authentische Bagpacking Experience. Sagen wir es mal so: Es ist ein Raum. Bett und nichts. Wir haben sehr eindrucksvoll die lokalen Temperaturen erfahren dürfen, da wir das Privileg eines gemächlichen Ventilators hatten. Die Matratze ist so hart wie ein ausgetrocknetes Stück Brot. Das Klo ist dauernd nass und unangenehm, ich ging lieber im Restaurant aufs Klo. Im Klo herrschten tropische und nasse Wetterverhältnisse. Allerdings waren die Vermieter sehr nett und unkompliziert und wir hatten weder Ratten noch Kakerlaken noch Mücken im Zimmer dank des Netzes. Das Zimmer lässt sich SOGAR abschließen. Wir waren 5 Nächte dort, ich glaube, das ist ein Rekord. Die Lage ist aber top!! Overall oke für den Preis, wer das Abenteuer schätzt und keinen weichen Geldbeutel hat.

• NBAftaIV (4/5): If you want any sleep, don't come here. - Looking for a quieter guest house for 2 weeks in Bangkok. Soi Rambuttri has always been busy but not unduly noisy at night and the house is on the quieter end of the street. Had to pay over the odds to secure a room for the following day, would not take a deposit or reserve a room. Insisted we turn up at 12 o'clock and take our chance. Room extremely basic, very green, with thin curtains, scars where TV had been taken off the ceiling. Bed bases still in tatty plastic wrapping. No soap or anything other than toilet tissue, no top sheets on beds, just a woolly blanket, in the Bangkok heat? Air con switched off, its an extra on the B400 charge. Early evening they had a singer cum guitar strummer downstairs, where there is a outdoor eatery, who was very good, laid back and quiet. Worked his way through Dylan, Clapton etc and a bit of Pink Floyd. Pleasant to listen too as we lay in bed expecting sleep. His accompanist was the staff dragging tables and chairs around aimlessly, changing the layout, adding some, removing some. All pointless as there were no customers. When this finished the noisy music from the bars further down the street started up competing with one another, till early morning. The customers finally arrived and had a high old time screaming and giggling until around 2am. Then it went quiet until the loon with the chairs started again putting some away and rearranging the rest. We left as soon as possible after. Not to be confused with the Bella Bella Riverview in Samsen 2 area which is a fine place to stay.
• David (10/5): - The manager, Wang is a great guy. It’s a family operated hotel, so I felt they were looking out for me. It is not 4star, but everything works with lots of international clients. It’s in Rambuttri Village but close to khao San Rd, 5 minute walk, but much more pleasant and better shopping!
• HierbaGatera (10/5): Decent budget hotel - Budget hotel with decent standards, appropriate for the price. Early check-in without any problem. Very friendly and quick service at the reception. Great location, quiet at night for a good sleep. The interiors are not the newest, but overall it's clean. A big plus for the really hot shower water.
• Marina (8/5): - It is normally basic guesthouse. For transit from Bangkok somewhere else. 2-3 days is O.K. Koosan road is 5 min walk. Bus S1 in airport also near. No hot water and toilet paper. No soap.

• stevenfT1252FM (10/5): Still the best. - Lost count of the amount of times I've stayed here. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms. Quiet at night and a great little restaurant downstairs. I've stayed in both the fan and aircon rooms depending on my budget but I can recommend both.

Das Bad war bis auf eine Kotwurst (vermutlich vom Nager) recht sauber. Wir haben für 2 Nächte bezahlt, sind aber trotzdem nach der 1. Nacht ins New Siam gewechselt.

• nathaalexandra (4/5): We DON'T recommend this place - My friend and I stayed one night here. When we arrived at Bella Bella House we thought they named it wrong because it is not "bella" at all. The room was tiny and stuffy as it literally just fits the bed. We went out early and stayed out as late as we could manage so we wouldn't stay in that room. At night it was so hard to sleep because the bed was really uncomfortable, and there was no ventilation as we just had a ceiling fan. There are 2 bathrooms which are shared amongst the floor - the toilet and the showerhead right next to each other, so everything gets wet. You also have to buy your own toilet paper down at the receptionist which I find odd because we already pay for a service so I think it should be left in the room at least. The receptionist was EXTREMELY rude. Upon check-in, I gave deposit money for the key and I was given a receipt. Upon check-out, the receptionist asked for the receipt so I went back up to get it (I had the key in my hand). While my friend was downstairs, my friend asked for the deposit money and the receptionist just threw the money at my friends face. The receptionist completely lashed out - she said "you guys should have been more organised"..."f*** you", "f*** off", "get out". When I gave her the key she snatched it out of my hand. My friend and I were completely shocked as we never experienced this type of customer service before. We really do NOT recommend this place to anyone.

• Juan Antonio (4/5): No vuelvo jamas. - El trato recibido por el peronal de recpción deja bstante que desear, se califica de cualquier cosa menos de ambles. Les pedi otra sabana, pues en la cama solo estaba la bajera, no hubo manera de que me la dieran y todo esto rodeado de insultos y malas caras por ambas partes. A la mañana suguiente el servicio de la limpieza me la dio, me imagino qu a escondidas. Es un hotel al que no volvere salvo que no me quede otra opción, lo tengo clarisimo, son unos desagradablesy peseteros.

For the price, the place is a great deal. It is just around 2 corners from Khoa San Road but far enough away to not be so hectic. I would stay there again.

You are close but in a quiet area with plenty of shopping and eating areas. Clean, comfortable room. The restaurant is very reasonable and good. The staff is cheerful and very helpful!

• Gema28 (8/5): Excellent Location, Good Rates and Friendly Staff - I stayed here three times during my 3 week stay in Thailand. I loved the central location in the quieter area off Khao San Road. The staff are friendly (especially lovely Pow) and the restaurant downstairs offers great food. The rates were wonderful too. My room had a washroom attached....both were small but I was in my room just to sleep, so it did not matter. Overall it was quiet though I had to speak to one school group that had booked in at the same time as me. It was difficult to sleep for a couple of nights as their chaperone/adults had gone out for the evening's and no one was supervising them. I appreciated the use of the computer in the Lobby. Also really thankful for their luggage storage while I went on trips around Thailand. A very friendly welcoming place.

• stevenfT1252FM (10/5): Never disappointed. - Another year and another stay at Bella. I always stay on the 4th floor. The rooms are basic but spotless, and the fan if you so wish will blow you off the bed. The staff are always friendly and welcoming; plus very helpful when asked for information. Great little restaurant downstairs, inexpensive and the Thai dishes are delicious.
• iceDevice (8/5): my place in bkk - bella bella is actually a difficult place to describe. i can write down quite a few drawbacks, yet i stay here everytime i come to bkk since 2013. if you're not a picky person and can go with the flow of this city, you might even feel that the downsides add a weird charm to the place... first of all, they have a lot of room options for solo budget travellers, so you don't have to stay in a dorm. it's cheap, very conveniently located and has an equally cheap and convenient restaurant. the very thing that i love about this place is, its like a modern day caravanserai. lots of rooms and lots of people checking in - out every day, so you can just walk in anytime and find a room to stay. staff is helpful and smiling. more helpful if you're a regular, although they will never bend the rules for you. the wifi - an archaic browser login sytem that keeps cutting off - hasn't been upgraded in the last 4 years, there's an old discarded mattress on the second floor corridor that just sits there for the last 3 months, the private showers needs maintenance etc etc. but all are ok because you get what you pay for and simply there is no better option around for that price. as i said, these faults oddly do not bother me as much as it would in other places. i guess i kind of like this place...
• MarialonsoHidalgo (8/5): very good for the price, clean and great location - We stayed there in our last night before flying back to Europe, two single beds with en-suite bathroom and a fan for just 350bahts, and hot water!!!! It was in the fifth floor, nice view from our room, no lift, but beds very comfortable and the place very clean. You can't walk on shoes around the hall and the floors, you leave them at the front door or take them with you by hand. Free wifi is only available in the hall downstairs, in your room only paid wifi available. The place looked quiet and everyone very respectful. Location is good, near Khaosan road, although not straight, you just need to turn and turn a few streets to get there, with a map, easy. We made the reservation via their email. The staff is very good, helpful and friendly.
• jaszzx88 (8/5): Budget, clean and comfortable - This is my first visit to Bangkok and I'm on a shoe string budget. I went to many places to find accommodation - I'm talking 10-15 places and seen a room in all, both near Khao San Rd and the large shopping centers close to the city centre. The cheapest I could find near the city center was THB$280 with my own room and bathroom, however Bella Bella guest house is THB$220 for my own room, with a shared toilet and bathroom very close to my room. I'm on the 5th floor. The room is clean, the fan is fast and importantly there is no dust. No dust is hard to find - this is why I search for accommodation (dust makes breathing hard for me). The only negative I have is the wifi cuts out frequently, apart from this the Bella bella guesthouse is awesome - location is great, it's not noisy and front house staff are helpful and always return a smile. I must also mention the great job the cleaning staff do here, it really is fantastic. I'll be straight back if I stay again in Bangkok.
• stevenfT1252FM (10/5): Perfection. Great for cyclists. - I've stayed here more times than I can remember for over a decade. It hasn't changed and I believe that's because they've got it just right. The staff are accommodating, friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic, but very clean; and they are cheap. The higher up your room the nicer the view over the temples. I've read a few reviews complaining about the rooms not being cleaned or the bedding not being changed. Well if you ask they will do it. But it's far easier just to help yourself to sheets and towels that you'll find on each landing. It's also a quiet location and has a lovely restaurant downstairs. I would recommend choosing something from the Thai part of the menu. The chef can really cook. The food is delicous. They have a storage room at 10 baht a day. Which is perfect for me as I need somewhere to keep my bike bag. They also can arrange airport drop off for you and you'll be picked up at the guesthouse. It's like how all guest houses use to be in Thailand. You take your shoes off before going upstairs. You're asked to be respectful of other guests who maybe sleeping. Plus they don't allow people to bring back locals to their rooms. So good for families. All in all its a great place with a really good mix of people of all ages.

• 86_gnesc (8/5): Good price, average rooms - We rent an air con room on the 4th floor. No elevator :-( Room and Guesthouse is clean, but very basic. Not noisy, staff was helpful, location is good, close to Khaosan. Bathroom is new and clean. Beds are clean and comfy. View is great.
• Ancelikh (2/5): The WORST customer service EVER in All Thailand. - I asked the girl in the reception downstairs, very politely, if she could please tell me what nr bus to take to Chatuchack market.....she understood me very well and just shrugged and said i dont know. Next day i asked the guy,maybe a manager, that how come the staff cant help me with such a simple thing, i mean come on- majority of the tourists are going to Chatuchack every weekend, im sure im not the first one to ask. And if you dont know the answer-you can always say please wait a minute i will find out for you.....Right ? Well, not here... He got a fit. She is not supposed to know the answer to that kind of question he said, cause she is from Laos. Well Hello !!!!! No matter where you from-if you work in the tourism sector i think you supposed to know the answer to at least the 5 most popular questions asked, no ? The guy went on and on and a actually asked me whats wrong with me ???? Do yourself a favour and dont stay here, plenty of other options available in this area where people actually appreciate their business and want you to come back. Bad place ! Unbelivable attitude and rude rude people.
• davidepG8898PS (2/5): Probably the worst host I'v ever experienced - The hotel is already nothing special. It's not clean, uncomfortable, noisy and the rooms are hot and humid. But the brunette girl at the reception in the morning is the cherry on the cake. It just looks like you are disturbing here for been there. Never a good morning, never a thank you. Yesterday I bought a mango across the street and come back to the hotel to chill. She came, literally trow a menu on the table and pointed at a pice of paper saying "no food from outside" and walked away. Today I asked her a question about the food menu and she just replied with a really rude "no" and walked away. It's plenty of much better hostels for the same price on the same street, don't spend your money here....
