Karen (5/5): Disappointed — Bentley Suite not worth the price - Location is excellent — just a few minutes' walk to the centre of Bakewell. The bed was comfortable, and on-site parking is a welcome bonus. The woman who checked us in was pleasant and helpful. We stayed in the Bentley Suite for one Saturday night and paid £224. The location is convenient for Bakewell, but the room was not up to the standard we expected for that price. The suite appeared not to have been thoroughly cleaned: the fridge was dirty, disgusting chopping board (also nothing to actually chop with if you are intending on using the kitchen), mould on plug sockets, a wardrobe door off its hinge, a ball of hair under the dressing table and an empty plastic bag in a drawer. Spare duvets had simply been thrown into the wardrobe. I have upoaded photos. The glossy website photos suggest a much cleaner, better-presented room than we experienced. Paying a premium rate for accommodation that wasn’t up to scratch felt excessive.

CLARE (10/5): A brilliant Bakewell break - Great location just minutes from centre of Bakewell. Huge room, had everything you needed, microwave, toaster, fridge, etc. Dining table and coffee table, huge tv. Very quiet and lovely view. There was nothing to dislike.

michaelsales56 (9/5): Great place to stay in the centre of Bakewell with very good rooms and relaxing environment - Had a lovely welcome and the room was excellent with a huge bed, all of which made this a fantastic place to stay right in the middle of Bakewell. Just a short (hill) walk down into the town to access shops, bars, restuarants and the river. And the property itself has a lovely veranda part to relax in - where we had an evening drink and a morning tea. Just wished it had a standard 11am checkout instead of the earlier 10am leaving time. Would have loved to have had some more time there in the morning.

Philip (9/5): Lovely, cosy and charming historical building… well worth a visit. - Location was excellent… building and room was charming… very quiet and staff helpful and friendly. Good recommendations on where to eat out which were excellent. Nothing to dislike about the property… TV wasn’t working in the room but that was a tiny thing compared to the overall standard.

Alison (9/5): Excellent luxury apartment -parking not great - Fantastic luxury apartment in a magnificent building very close to the centre of Bakewell. Quite a hill to climb on way back up but fantastic views as a result of this. Car parking wasn’t great. Not many spaces and was blocked in at one point albeit not for long

Lynda (9/5): Lovely stay - We were met on arrival.and shown to our rooms, all the facilities and breakfast options were explained clearly, as well as recommendations of shops, pubs and restaurants. The continental breakfast was lovely and good value for money. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners who live on site and the Volare Suite has amazing views! Nothing.

Helen (10/5): Gorgeous boutique hotel in the middle of Bakewell - Gorgeous property in the centre of Bakewell. We stayed in the Bagshaw Suite, fabulous facilities all round. Super helpful and friendly staff!
Claire (10/5): Bagshall Hall is stunning and the apartment was amazing. Exceeded our expectations - Apartment was fantastic with everything you needed, very comfortable beds, quiet, plus complimentary drinks and toiletries. Fantastic views from inside the apartment and outside on the apartment’s own balcony. Georgina (a lovely very helpful lady) met us and took us to our room. We would definitely return. Location was perfect. Bagshaw Hall is just stunning and well maintained. Nothing!

Arune (8/5): Great stay for few nights, close to restaurants and pubs. - Wonderful location and great views, the staff were pleasant and the room was comfortable to live in. We came with baby and there was a microwave and kettle which were really useful. The Tv had some nice shows on and there was a cute electric fireplace. The property is old so it is understandable it will be more dusty than usual but the carpets inside were really dirty and need to be cared for. The bathroom does not have a lock as well which is not very convenient. There were also two sets of tables with chairs in one double room, which is a bit excessive. The room is quite big but furniture takes up a lot of space.

We struggled to get consistent hot water but after getting the manager out it did work for the evening bath for children and in the morning

Joanne (8/5): Nice break! - Good destination for a base of visiting the peak district. Accommodation was within walking distance of Bakewell up a steep hill. Rooms were adequate for a short stay with kitchen area to make a hot drink. No cooking facilities in the room. Nice and spacious. We stayed in the dog friendly room. The weather! We unfortunately picked a very wet week to visit

Craig (9/5): Great location, good facilities. A nice treat for Bakewell. - Location is up a bank from Bakewell centre, very central but just be aware you’ll be walking up and down hill. On site parking was good. Nothing much to complain about. It’s an old building and you will have to carry any suitcase upstairs, but that’s to be expected.
clare (10/5): Perfect place if you want to have a get away stay. - The size of the room, was amazing and layout. So special with the beams visible. The parking to the room was perfect in distance. Everything is thought of in the room. And the staff were very accommodating to our needs. No bar available in games room to get a drink. But I understand you if you have your own drinks you can bring them down to the reception games room which is Lovley.

Tamzin (9/5): Beautiful properly, perfect location - The room was huge and beautiful. Enormous bed, gorgeous bathroom with powerful hot shower. We were greeted by the host (who was so lovely and friendly) and checked us in efficiently and with no fuss (no computers/emails/card details blah blah blah) which was refreshing. Location was perfect - so peaceful with the birdsong in the morning, but 2 mins walk to the town centre. The hotel has a warm and cosy lounge with books and games where you could sit before you went out for the evening. The only thing negative was that although there was a beautiful bath in the room, the water did not run hot enough to fill it so it was not really useable - but the shower was nice and hot!

lindley (8/5): - The room was lovely and clean & the bed was comfortable. We couldn't figure out how to turn the radiator/heating on so it dropped quite cool in the night. Also we did not realise that it was situated on a hill which was hard to navigate for my mum with mobility issues. Other than that it was a lovely place to stay.
