• Sinéad (10/5): Excellent location and great value for money - Location is ideal, so close to everything especially the train station and for the price you couldn’t ask for much more! The air con in the room was great and the bathroom may be small as said in some of the other reviews but completely satisfactory. There is a lot of stairs up that might not be ideal for everyone, but that is made clear on the advert before booking so wasn’t a problem for us.
• Engstrøm (4/5): Change the toilet brush, please - Staff was helpful. Street a bit dodgy but interesting. Unique property which is old. Nice decor of the medival room. That toilet brush needs to be changed. It is as old as the house!! Perhaps the window upgraded very noisy. We didn't see any cleaning person in the four we stayed. The kitchen is oily but we'll equipped. We were very close run out of toilet paper, this is restocked on a regular manner. Slow WiFi often disconnecting

• Lydia (4/5): Disappointing - Room was nice. Bathroom was very cramped and not overly clean. Unfortunately another guest had thrown up in the bathroom leaving it a state and was trying to get into our room at 4am. The property was situated in a noisy area.
• Martina (8/5): Very good - Simple, friendly staff shared bathroom wasn't the cleanest and got wet everywhere quite easily, I'd recommend to bring flip-flops.
• Emily (2/5): Nice accommodation in an unsafe area - Good price, very nice host, big room and comfy bed As two young female travellers we did not feel safe in the area and we ended up leaving on the first day and booking accommodation elsewhere. Upon research we found that the area we were in is known for being unsafe and is labelled as one of the most unsafe area in Genoa. The accommodation itself is nice but the area just could not save it
• Silvia (5/5): Convenient location but requires adaptability - The position was convenient for visiting the aquarium and the Galata museum, walking distance to the old port and city centre. The building is very typical and characteristic. The booking ad did not clearly depict the amount of stairs needed to get to the apartment and the room, the shared bathroom was narrow and not particularly clean. We stayed for 3 nights and I don't think any cleaning was done on the apartment, not even the toilet paper or soap was replenished. There was no fridge available to store water. Plus (and this is no fault of the host, but should be known by potential guests) the neighborhood is not the safest at night.
• Daniel (8/5): Very good - The host was overall nice. We had some questions and he answered them all asap via wass (in English). Once we got there some towels were provided to us and there was a ventilator which helped us getting by with all the hotness of Genoa. It was a third floor with no lift whatsoever which made the stay quite an endeavour but in the end wasn’t that bad. The thing is, the surroundings were quite disgusting and we could even saw from our bedroom some fights hahahahha but still it was a secure and friendly place to stay.
• Theo (6/5): Cheap and uncomfy for aa great location - The location is great and the owner was available anytime The property's bathroom was filthy and uncomfortable, no soaps were offered and the overall smell was horrible. The property is not a solo house but you share the apartment with another 3 rooms so it is more an Airbnb
• Anahit (6/5): Pleasant - It’s a nice place, my room was old furnished one, very pretty and small room. Even though I’ve booked for 4 nights, I only spend one. Cheers to Andrea, who was very helpful and nice, he met me next to the property and helped to carry the luggage upstairs before checkin time (mind, there’s no elevator in case you have a big luggage). The location is very central, it’s 15 minutes from Ducale and around 7 minutes from the main station. The location seemed safe. Wifi is working just fine. The bathroom was very small and not that clean. I haven’t used the kitchen, so can’t tell much about it.
• Alexandrasil (3/5): Poor - Other than being close to the port and the host being friendly there is not much positive to say. If you travel as a solo woman you will find the area being pretty unfriendly wich was my first shock. The apartment is on the third floor with no elevator and a pretty small stairway.Going up and down with your luggage will not be fun.Pretty difficult to find even though is close to the central station. We had some problems with the window being broken and the curtains falling off ...

• Kana (4/5): Good location but not clean and missing amenities. - Location was the only good thing about his place. Not clean. Not only was room and all common areas dusty and grimy, they did not come to change sheets or towels in our 3 nights. Not even hand soap was provided in our private bathroom, after request. Also if you get the private room on the top floor and are taller than 5' 9", you will bang your head many times at all entry ways. The shared kitchen (for 3 rooms) had a single fork. I could go on but I'll stop here.
