Guest Reviews
- Delyth (9/5): Lovely St David's stay - Delightful room. Location very good. Staff friendly and efficient. Felt the cost of wine was very expensive and really don't like having to pay extra for sides when the main course is already priced at £30 +.. Also had one of the smallest prawn cocktails I've ever had as a starter on my second night.
Otherwise, the food was delicious.
- pamela (10/5): A delightful treat - Beautiful location, so peaceful Relaxed atmosphere, lovely staff and excellent food
- Anne (9/5): -
- Charlotte (8/5): Peaceful retreat in the Pembrokeshire countryside with lovely welcoming staff. - Lovely peaceful hotel in quiet farmland near St David’s. The owner was kind to us being on an early start and made us breakfast early which we really appreciated. Lovely deep bath in the room which was welcome after a long day’s walking. And free Prosecco in the fridge! Hard to get to without a car, we took a taxi up from Porthgain, but I imagine most people will have their own transport with them.
- Margaret (10/5): 2 night excellent hotel as a base to visit St Davids peninsula - Very comfortable room, detailed decor , excellent breakfasts, very friendly staff and in a lovely setting. N/A
- roxanne (9/5): - Very welcoming from the outset. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and the surroundings were beautiful Nothing
- Linda (9/5): -
- Megan (10/5): Lush hotel. Would highly recommend. - Beautiful room with a beautiful copper bath. Loved it here in Crug glas. We felt very well looked after. There was complimentary prosecco and welsh cakes in the room, lovely bubble bath and the best room spray I’ve ever smelt. The staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Food was lush. Would love to come back soon.
- Lyn (10/5): Relaxing stay with amazing food and very helpful, friendly family run business. - Beautiful building, fantastic spacious room, lovely views. Nothing
- Michael (10/5): A wonderful place to chill/ relax in a beautiful part of Wales. - Everything, but particularly the downstairs/ cellar bar and snug. So unusual but very cosy! The weather, but to be expected at this time of year!
- Nicoll (10/5): Excellent food, accommodation, room quality and staff friendliness. - Excellent facilities, bedroom was very comfortable, fantastic shower and very friendly owners. The evening meal in the restaurant was five star one of the best restaurant meals I have had recently. The breakfast was a feast with a great choice from continental to full Welsh breakfast. I will definitely stay here again. Nothing the hotel could do differently as all was near perfect.
- Joseph (10/5): Comfortable hotel and excellent location - The room was fantastic and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed meeting the staff. Amazing location. This was the best hotel we stayed at in our road trip around Wales. Good value for money compared to others.
- Wendy (10/5): Wonderful place to stay! - Wonderful rooms, all immaculate, delightful staff, and excellent food.
- P J (10/5): A Thoroughly Enjoyable Stay - Our room was spacious, stylish, warm, quiet and clean. The food was excellent. The staff were outstanding - warm, friendly, helpful yet very efficient. Crug Glas is a delight. Minor quibbles - steps down to the bathroom would not suit everyone and it would be nice to disconnect the extractor fan from the bathroom light for a more peaceful night’s sleep. Otherwise all perfect.
- Claire (7/5): Sorry but we do not recommend - hotel is trading on past glories & we will not be returning - The hotel is well located just a few miles outside St Davids. The farmland around the hotel with beautiful trees, herd of cows and views across to the coast are really charming. This hotel is very tired and has clearly seen better days - the decor is OTT 1980s chintz & feels very old fashioned and unloved. The food & wine, especially dinner, was poor - very expensive and overcooked & underseasoned to the point of being almost inedible. The staff (when they were around, which was not often) had a strangely over familiar / too personal manner and the so-called "training" of 2 teenage boys to be bar staff with our pre dinner drinks was almost "Fawlty Towers" laughable. To top it all off, our room was above the kitchens and reeked of deep fat frying from the extract fan below for the entirety of our stay.
- Diana (10/5): -
- paul (10/5): A fantastic place to stay with wonderful friendly staff. - It was amazing in every way. It’s beautifully located with stunning views. Extremely well maintained and beautifully furnished throughout. We loved our room with a very comfortable four poster bed. Top of my list though are the amazing staff they have there. I have never come across such open and friendly staff who went out of their way to make you feel so welcome! We had a wonderful stay and will definitely like to stay there again.
- Lesley (9/5): A beautiful house in a quiet country setting, with friendly welcoming staff and excellent food. - Friendly and attentive staff. Delicious dinner and breakfast. A beautiful house and bedroom with a luxurious a bathroom, in a quiet relaxing location. As someone who is 5'4" tall, I found the bed a bit high to get in and out of, and would have preferred a firmer mattress.
- nigel (10/5): Amazing experience - Lovely setting fabulous welcome staff all were Amazing
Highly recommend, the Breakfast and evening meal was incredible staff couldn’t do enough for you Hot tub would been nice
- Marie (10/5): Superb - A fantastic few days with a gorgeous room and exceptional food. Breakfast was outstanding and dinner was a real treat. We will return.

- Eileen (7/5): Pleasant enough but a little overhyped , more upmarket bed and breakfast then country house , nice quiet location . - Food was very good , very comfortable bed , quiet location .,no traffic. Felt we were a bit of an inconvenience when we arrived , they were busy with their corporate event
- Caroline (9/5): -
- Nigel (8/5): Posh accommodation a stone's throw from the gorgeous Pembrokeshire coast - Lovely, comfortable room, very well appointed. Proseco on arrival was a nice treat. It was hot when we stayed and they kindly brought us a fan. Good welsh breakfast. Friendly owner and staff. Great. Dinner was a bit hit and miss. Starters very nice. Main course might have benefited from being a bit simpler and more carefully prepared.
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Katrina (10/5): Very relaxing treat away from home in a beautiful house in a quiet setting - Beautiful house with lovely rooms and great facilities to include honesty bar with good selection of drinks available. Excellent breakfast . Quiet location Nothing
- Aled (10/5): Peaceful rural former mansion in the open countryside that has excellent facilities and staff. - Location was a large country house in the countryside a few miles from St Davids in Pembrokeshire. We as three adult family members were allocated a beautifully appointed cottage suite attached to the main house. Well appointed facilities with downstairs sofa bed and en suite and a king size bed upstairs with a bath. Wonderful choice of breakfast in the main house with waitress service who was most charming and courteous. Everything was fine for our one night stay and I'm so glad my son persuaded me to book Crug Glas.
- Richards (10/5): Exceptional - A warm welcome from the staff who were very attentive in making sure we had an amazing stay. Very peaceful location and the food was incredible. Nothing! Book it and enjoy!

- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - The beautiful surroundings how welcoming and friendly everyone was and the little touches. I had the best nights sleep I'd had in months and a lovely bubble bath in the morning. Breakfast was absolutely delicious also. Will be back again!
- Paul (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing - Crug Glas is ideally positioned for travelling around North Pembrokeshire. It is situated in a rural setting, which provides you with peacefulness and tranquility.
The rooms are comfortable, spacious and very clean. We stayed for three nights and dined in each night. Both for breakfast and evening meal there was a varied menu, with high quality food on offer.
From the moment you arrive, you are made to feel very welcome, with a big thank you to Beth, who was very helpful and cheerful.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Mara (10/5): Warm. Welcoming. Stunning views. - The staff were wonderful and friendly. The food was excellent. We were the only people staying at the time and so they gave us a complementary upgrade. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, and the rooms were adorable and very comfortable. We will be recommending it to friends and family traveling to the area.

- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hayley (8/5): Very good - Beautiful hotel in a pretty location. Fab copper bath and lovely staff. The flat sheet didn't fit properly and rose up, so the bed was a little uncomfortable. Also they should place a demist mirror in the bathroom as you can't see anything after having a shower!
- David (9/5): We arrived after a long journey and busy week and left totally refreshed and relaxed. - The staff were superb. We were made to feel very comfortable. The location is fantastic especially for us walking the coastal path.

- Bramhall (9/5): Great for a relaxing weekend in the welsh countryside, a treat experience. - Fab location in peaceful countryside. Would recommend for getaway from it all stay. Room was well decorated in boutique style. Robes and candle a nice touch ! Welcome drinks and tea/coffee/welshcakes in the room fridge. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. Bathroom leading off bedroom did not have a door, only a curtain as separation. May be a problem if you wanted a romantic weekend.....perhaps warn guests ? welsh cakes as welcome treat a nice touch, but I was booked in as a gluten free guest so not able to eat them. May have been a contamination issue for Coeliacs ? However they did exceptionally well with breakfast, so no complaints at all there. Very helpful.
- Leanne (9/5): Lovely 2 night getaway, thank you. - Beautifully decorated, quiet and tranquil. Loved the space they had for the bar area downstairs. - Belinda (8/5): Very good -
- Lorba (9/5): Beautifully appointed home with quality finishes. - A little secluded country home beautifully decorated in old world style. Breakfast was really nice with quite a few options. Highly recommend I’m not a fan of carpet in bathrooms. I would think it’s more hygienic if was removed and tiled or similar.
- Lisa (7/5): Beautiful location, food and staff excellent. New pillows in bedroom needed. - Staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful.
Food was tasty, location beautiful.
Bath in room was lush! Pillows and mattress were uncomfortable.

- Barbara (9/5): Really enjoyed our time in the country at Crug Glad Country House. Property does require a car. - Breakfast was excellent. Service very good. Staff uniformly friendly and helpful. Loved the serene country location. i would have liked to know the property really required a car. We didn't realize how far out from St. David's it was.
Also, maintenance work left door lintel wet. We didn't realize and stepped on it.
Had hoped towels would have been changed. Turndown offered.
- Helen (10/5): An excellent stay. Accommodation was superb. - The accommodation was extremely spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. Lovely large soft towels. We had dinner in the restaurant both evenings and it was very good. We enjoyed the complimentary Prosecco before dinner, so didn’t have drinks in the bar, but it looked cute and welcoming.

All in all an absolute pleasure to stay here with lovely walks and striking views. Need to put in some charging points for cables as only 3 pin points for plugs.

- Michael (8/5): Great hotel within 1 hour of most attractions in Pembrokeshire - Nice country house. We liked the idea of the lounge bar downstairs. Our room (number 2) had a huge comfortable bed and an amazing bath. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was a little warm, we turned all radiators off and kept windows open. Doors are very noisy, slamming shut by themselves, not by people slamming them intentionally, which woke us up a couple of times.
- Geraldine (8/5): Very good -
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (8/5): Very good -
- Garry (10/5): Exceptional - Great food, fantastic breakfast and superb room with bath and shower. Nothing

- Bethan (10/5): Beautiful property, staff could not do enough - Lovely, peaceful location, close to many attractions No faults whatsoever

Rooms were beautiful and everything you need for a comfortable stay was provided including iron and ironing board, hairdryer, small fridge, toiletries, robe and slippers and more including Welsh cakes on arrival. The food served in the restaurant was delicious and breakfast had plenty to choose from. The added bonus of a small bar in the cellar was a lovely way to spend the evening and the staff were all very friendly and polite. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for somewhere to spend a relaxing night or two that is that little bit extra special. Nothing not to like.
- Ivan (10/5): Exceptional -

The room was nicely furnished and included a very comfy bath
